If the boon perks are nerfed I won't be getting her to p3 50 immediately, I'll still get her with iri shards but I'm in the process of getting all of my survivors to p3 50 all perks.

At least with BT it's kinda mandatory at this point.
It should be criminal to unhook your teammates without it
-
Why should wglf be 5 stacks and bbq at 12 that’s not fair.
-
If someone afk’s or dc’s at 4 or 5 gens I’m suiciding on hook so idc what you do. I’m also not gonna go for saves as well.
-
If I don’t run BT then the killer can just go after the unhooked guy.
If I don’t run DS then the killer can just focus me out of the game, besides DS is fair now.
-
The bloodwebs are weighted for the rarity of items, not specific things themselves.
If you prestiged it increases the rarity chance up to a couple percent higher for higher tier nodes.
-
I know on the ptb survivors are able to move their totems (by being able to bless another one) without the killer snuffing out the original one. is this intended or a bug?

I’ve played on the ptb and with everyone trying to get boon totems up, the killer has gotten around 3-4 hooks before a gen has even been worked on. Even if you place it far away from where the killer would be patrolling you are still having to travel all the way there to make use out of it.
It absolutely feels like a time sink and I feel like it gives a legitimate objective for the survivors to work towards that totems never were.

Ah.. Well I'd be on board with your idea as well as a bonus for solo queue survivors.
That or things to make the bp grind less painful on both sides because it's insane lol

YO hey,
Let's not kid ourselves. Punishing a SWF just for playing together would not be fair and is a difficult issue. But if you ask me the best way would be to give the Solo Survivor's a BUFF in the form of blood points. That means if you decide to play solo you get double blood points. This would firstly be better for the grind and would have the nice side effect that SWF would remain untouched. Fair or unfair ? This could be discussed now but, I thought about it for a long time and I didn't come to a better solution. Maybe someone of you has something better?
No amount of bloodpoints is going to convince me to play soloqueue and get camped to death because the killer didn't like that their ruin undying got broken. I'll stick with a 4 man stack and enjoy not dying with crap all for points.

I was kinda hoping they could only be moved once snuffed out by the killer, would make for more strategic choices on both sides imo
Exactly my thoughts.
You place it down as survivor near the action and risk the killer finding it and destroying it quickly or you place it down near the edges of the map and can’t utilize it fully but don’t run the risk of the killer finding it immediately.
Being able to switch totems without it being snuffed out by the killer removes a lot of strategy and decision making for the survivors.

“The meta is so boring why don’t people run other perks”
”This change to a perk will make it op and change the meta, don’t change it”

Yeah cuz the last thing nurse needs is a buff.

1) use your eyes to see a 6ft cowboy walking towards you with a gun. If you're that bothered run spine chill.
2) predict ADS spam, just because he adsed doesn't mean he will fire. Learn how slinger players play. Learn common mindgames. Predrop. Learn which tiles he is bad in. etc.
3) An indicator isn't needed, especially on a killer who has only 1v1 and requires prediction from both sides.
- Activate/Deactivate ADS: 0.15 seconds
- Firing delay: 0.5 seconds.
- This refers to the time it takes for the projectile to launch from the gun after pressing the Attack button.
The ADS spam is precisely the issue. Either he m2's and fires or he goes back to an m1. Damned if you do, Damned if you don't.
This was the exact same issue with pyramid head's m2 back into m1 with no penalty. Either you take the hit at the pallet/window from m2 or if you bait it the killer very quickly gets an m1 regardless of what you do as a survivor.
I attached the stats for Deathslingers ads and firing delay pulled from the wiki. If that doesn't put it into perspective then I don't know what else.
-
Make the Release score count for opening the gate even if there are other survivors still alive.

Going on a scavenger hunt as a Killer instead of...killing...is apparently fun, thematic and balanced.
Add to the fact that Survivors can attach MULTIPLE Boon perks to a single totem is equally hilarious.
Would you much rather prefer going from totem to totem to get rid of all of their perks?

That's the issue with huntress you miss have a 2 seconds cooldown and can throw a hatchet but with slinger you take a 1.5 cooldown plus a 3 second reload. He is fundamentally bad now
- Activate/Deactivate ADS: 0.15 seconds
- Firing delay: 0.5 seconds.
- This refers to the time it takes for the projectile to launch from the gun after pressing the Attack button.
Per the changes from the post.
- You can no longer shoot until you have fully aimed down sights
- Increased the delay after cancelling your shot before you can start a Basic Attack
- Decreased movement speed penalty while aiming down sights
@thrawn3054 said:
I have to overall disagree. With this change survivors at least have a chance to dodge a shot. I do think he should become 115 if he's going to have a 32m TR.
The changes don't effect the survivors chance to dodge a shot, it just prevents Deathslingers from faking m2's without a penalty.
-
@Aneurysm said:
1) He was essentially a stealth/ranged killer with his specific TR and monitor. Ranged killers generally give a warning with a lullaby or larger terror radius seeing as they can hit you from further range, i.e. there's a reason huntress isn't allowed any real stealth potential.
2) ADS spam - pyramid head who came after was nerfed for the same reason, i.e. spamming M2 without actually ranged attacking so the survivor is forced to weave and lose distance before just m1ing. PH and demo can also kinda do this but they telegraph their ranged attacks.
3) Every ranged or sort-of-ranged killer - huntress, trickster, plague, PH, demo, twins, nemesis, cenobite - show that they're about to go for their m2 attacks giving a chance to react to it. By the time slinger has his gun fully raised you've ben shot already.
4) Baby survivors said slinger is bad on the forums and devs listen to them because they HATE killers 😥 Why can't they git gud 😥I can't believe they nerfed trapper too. 😥 I'm going to facecamp survivors until they agree to revert these changes 😥or I will demand a refund on all my deathslinger cosmetics 😥
This 100%. His m2 spam was the exact same problem approaching pyramid head who got his power adjusted as well. I would've liked his range on his gun being increased to 24m but one can't get everything they want.

4 SWF survivors all bring medkits, killer currently has massive pressure. All survivors decide to reset and heal with their medkits.
Then they do it again.
Then they do it again.
Then they do it again.
The survivors win.
Well that's 144 seconds of all 4 survivors not being on gens so I hope you aren't just walking around aimlessly.

If they want this game to balanced in any kind of meaningful way they're gonna need to expand that "little indy studio" into a full on "BIG STUDIO". Riot Games had to do the same thing. GGG had to do the same thing to meet the demand of their product and do things on time, bigger, and better, AND produce more content that can be bought in turn. But theres a problem....
They have 600 employees. Of that 600 employees they need to balance 26 total systems of gameplay, that is 25 killers and 1 being survivors. Of which every single one of those 25 has a different playstyle and needs to function in order to operate against survivors, as well as juxtapose their position against other killers.
WHICH DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL BECAUSE FF14 AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT HAS AT LEAST HALF AS MANY PEOPLE WORKING ON IT AT ANY GIVEN TIME! With a grand total of 264 people who worked on patch 3.56.
So someone please explain to me, how a japanese company with 1/3 the total staff can pump out some of the largest content updates known to man, and when we ask for an add on revision we get told it will take MULTIPLE YEARS??!?! What makes game development here so slow compared to one of the largest mmos of all time? Whats the hang up? What part of the chain from concept to completion is slowing this games progress down so much?
What you are missing is that bhvr has other things they do outside of dbd. Not all of those employees are working on dbd.
-
Pretty much none of the currency is time locked so you don’t have to worry about losing progression
-
Cause they get off on it.
-
What’s funny is now with sbmm you don’t have to worry about competing at the top because your mmr on your other killers won’t get as high as spirit nurse blight.
-
From what Devs have commented on, it is tracked and they would like you to do it more.
-
Just sounds like old legion with extra steps
-
Should camping a person to death result in a lower score for the killers mmr?
-
Dark devotion is a nice perk I run it on ghostface. It really helps confuse the survivors.
-
Seems like there are plenty of people queuing as killer given they have longer queue times.
- There are more killers at a high mmr rating than survivors.
- There are more killers queueing to play than survivors.

what exactly does this have to do with queue times again? xD
It's taking longer to match killers with survivors. This implies one of two things, or both things are correct in some way.
- There are more killers at a higher mmr level than survivors which makes matching killers with the appropriately ranked survivors.
- There are more killers queueing up than survivors.
This has everything to do with queue times.
-
Clearly killers are gaining a higher mmr than survivors are

They quite clearly are random if you ask me. Maybe after 1000's of hours they have discerned a pattern, and they know when the rng loads them far, or close, ahead or behind. At an angle. Or sets of 2, or 3 and 1. All together, or all separate. They are just masters of observation and I will never be on their level. They just naturally learned all the spawns of dozens of maps, they can feel it based on the direction of the wind.
Generally the survivors will spawn on the opposite end of where you spawned. Usually 3 survivors will spawn far away and one will spawn just outside of your terror radius closer to you. When you spawn in the middle they will be spread out and usually in pairs.
On maps like Sanctum of wrath, autohaven I map and other ones with that middle section which is smaller this is generally how they spawn.

Hi
So windows 11 releases on october 5th. Will there be support for DBD? I know a little while ago someone said on the forums that they were trying a beta release and dbd ran terrible on it. So im wondering if we should hold off until dbd gets support for it?
It ran poorly because the associated game drivers and other technical adjustments needed from Microsoft’s side weren’t 100% functional on windows 11 since it is/was in early preview .

Yet it still rolls back valid hits
I think you are missing my point, if your hit is rolled back it is because your input did not reach the server in time before your opponents input reached the server.
What I was talking about was the client feedback (the splash of blood and scream) and if it required server validation to play the feedback then it would feel even jankier than ever because every hit would have to be validated to then play the effects. How it is now is only noticeable when you have a worse connection than your opponent.

Console reporting and Steam reporting is exactly the same - in-game reports have to be made in all cases, because we need to make sure that match actually occurred.
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/requests/new - this is the report form to Support, for things like you describe, we would need video evidence (nobody is banned without proof, regardless of amount of reports etc).
So why hasn’t this hacker I reported with video proof not been banned yet?
