You have... I don't know... other 3 survivors to chase? There are times in the match when slugging and letting people pick the teammate up is a wise move.

Ive hooked another survivor and still got hit by ds but noone ever talks about that i guess.

To test this theory out, I ran Windows of Opportunity in the last 10 matches and dropped every pallet on the map. In only 2 of the games did the killer bother to break the pallets. The other games they just ignored the pallets, knowing they could catch up easily. It's rare to pull off a pallet stun, unless you are going against a baby killer. This begs the question, why are pallets in the game at all? I propose a nerf to bloodlust or an increase in movement speed to survivors/decrease in speed to killers.

    Meanwhile

Yeah, Crane loops in Autohaven maps made me kind of cringe with my Legion.

Thank God they were sporting Flashlights and the M1 bug hasn't been fixed for Legion. Ended up in a 4k.

It would be nice if the crane doesn't stop the killer from proceeding, instead of going around it.

Yeah the crane always gets me its so annoying.

Do you really want to say that Survivors are now using Sprint Burst, because Bloodlust is disabled? It is a Meta Perk for basically forever.

And between the two strongest Exhaustion Perks the only one that works.

Idk Ive gotten pretty tired of dead hard for distance ######### me over every game.

  • "The aura being revealed will actually make victor threatening to keep on"...what's the threat though...its 45 seconds and aura reading. Good survivors can still loop and hold him and if you recall him then you still wasted 45 seconds as a m1. So i mean...

You can't get rid of ds and still have tracking powers/perks/add ons to tunnel a guy out also powers that allow you to simply stay at the hook and wait for the unhook. Ds being used to counter full on tunnel to easy 3v1 is the way ds should be used and it is completely countered by a mori. So they should figure out how to keep it in to work against the abuse coming from the killers who do the quick 3v1 strats as well as make it not be able to be abused to rush gens.

Heres A example of ds being dumb by definition.

    @Healthore77992

Again. I am not interested in what the devs have tried to do. I wanna know what they have done. So far is nothing against the killer players who knowningly abuse those mechanics.

Sorry to break this to you but Tunneling isn't as black and white as you see it. If the killer breaks chase to continue to chase the survivor who just got unhooked recently, that IS tunneling. If the killer bypasses and ignores, any survivor trying to take hits for the recently unhooked survivor, just to get them out of the game, that IS tunneling. I could go on and on. Just because you touch a gen, totem or start healing doesn't magically make a killer less likely to tunnel.

And if the killers hooked someone else? And still gets dsd anyway after hooking someone else (which obviously nullifies tunneling by definition since tunneling is going after the same survivor and ignoring the rest) should that killer still be dsd?

  • @dragobv said:

omg the guy im tunneling jumped in the locker now i need to deal with ds its not fair

Oh my god the guy got unhooked and instead of running off to heal hopped on a gen and i came across him after hooking someone ELSE and down him and get either still dsd or slug and he just gets up with unbreakable. Stop it with the "it only activates if you tunnel" its getting very old. Or i come across him after hooking someone else and he hops into a locker and i get dsd. Simple logic if they can do a gen they arent being tunneled or if i hook someone else they arent being tunneled deactivate the perk.

They could just have a little notification pop up saying "<someone> gave you props!" before disappearing after a few seconds.

It wouldn't be difficult or time consuming to add, and it would make the game a little more positive.

Yeah i think paladins and overwatch do that you cant really tell if its the opponents though since you can also endorse your teammates but in dbd itd be more obvious. Also if you give props to your teammates your telling them "hey your a good teammate and a amazing person to work with" basically.

  • @nina1121 said:

I think dbd players are too egotistic to give props 😂

Eh there are those some but most ive played with and against are pretty good people.

My only thing is when you guys say not to follow statistics but then when OoO is brought up ethan said "well our statistics show most OoO users die" could that possibly because they get tunneled or camped for running that bs? So when should we and should we not use statistics?

  • @ThePolice said:

Hhex undying and ruin isn’t that powerful tbh, survivors can break the undying at the start of the match, maybe if survivors dropped their broken meta perks they could run small game or dectectives hunch

Or just bring maps lol. Also if they cleanse the dulls thats one less thing ruin can swap to when they do get it. I had it where i had undying and ruin and undying didnt cleanse but ruin died anyway because they hit the 3 dulls before they cleansed ruin.

I mean, he has to have something which makes him different from Hillbilly. There would be 0 reason to play him, if he would not be able to down multiple people, because then you can just play Hillbilly, who can only down one person with his Chainsaw AND has one of the best mobility abilities in the game.

Furthermore, I see it quite rare that Bubba is able to down more than one person, as long as you are not outpositioned, it should also not happen.

Idk bubba with pwyf maxed and the sweep duration addon as well as the iridescent i can cleave through survivors fairly easily (because the iridescent only uses 1 pwyf stack compared to the sweep normally taking 3 as well as the durations making it last far longer). I mean i even caught up with a bt protected survivor when i smacked them with the chainsaw apon being unhooked. That does require 2 addons and a perk though but its a halarious build.

The option to "Leave Game" needs to be there for actual legitimate reasons for leaving a match - stuck due to a bug, irl emergency etc.

There’s another I acknowledged benefit of Monstrous Shrine that mentioned in Orion’s other post: The perk creates urgency in the other survivors. My meaning: it gets them (at least one) off of gens much quicker to get the save. Sometimes survivors spending a few seconds less on gens can make all the difference in this game.

Also No Mither permanently gives no blood trails so if ya combine it with ironwill and leave close to no scratch marks your pretty much undetectable by normal means. Also says ######### you to stridor spirit. Personally sometimes worth being one health state. (Unless its a oni).

  • Monsterous shrines 0.01% unhook chance decrease chance can be the difference between a survivor kobeing and not. And i think kills them like 2 seconds faster so it can prevent a hook rush in some cases.

Add an Option: 100% more Blood points for getting matched with SWF (if there are any, otherwise you get into a regular game with no bonus)

Killers who are up to the challenge can use this option while killers who don't... Don't

is it easy as that, or am I missing something?

As long as moris also say:"survivors bp are doubled"

  • Wasnt the end game collapse introduced because of survivors refusal to leave when theyve won? Its always been a survivor thing. I personally just dont give them the satisfaction and just get a drink or go back to youtube while i wait they wanna sit there and go clicky clicky im not wasting my time because im doing other stuff more important than walking to a gate just to get teabag flashlighted.

  • Can never go wrong with @Fibijean i love when im working and can't watch the q and a i can just look and see a "so you don't have to" and they keep their bias (if they have any) out of it and keep it neutral and true to what the devs said.

  • Weird i mostly farm by just hooking all survivors once then smacking the crap out of them over and over. Then we both benefit.

  • @Mandy said:

I'd love if DC penalties weren't needed, sadly it doesn't seem like this is the case.

The problem is, people DC for various things - get downed early in a match = DC, playing against a killer you don't like = DC, playing against a perk you don't like = DC, getting a hex totem broken early in the match = DC....I've seen all these things happen in game. And sadly, it just ruins the game for the other players.

I do believe when you're playing an online game and you ready up in that lobby, then you've committed yourself to play that match, regardless of whether you end up on a map you don't like or any of the reasons given above, that's the whole nature of the game - for both sides.

Yes it sucks if you have bad internet and then get DC penalties for it, but also on the other side of the coin - should other people's games be ruined because of your bad internet? I don't think they should be.

As the DC penalties start at a really low time, this takes into account the time for IRL emergencies which is what the Leave Match button is there for, not for leaving because you are losing in a game. It's a PvP game at the end of the day, spoiling the game for everyone else who's playing really isn't on.

"I do believe when you're playing an online game and you ready up in that lobby, then you've committed yourself to play that match, regardless of whether you end up on a map you don't like or any of the reasons given above, that's the whole nature of the game - for both sides." *laughs in hook suicides* wheres the ability to just leave as killer?

  • Yeah 1v3 isnt fair when my teammate dcs in the first 5 seconds. We really need to crack down harder on the dc penalty (at least a mori we get some use out of the survivor unlike a dc and sometimes we've all gotten out before the killer could mori us because he got each of us once.

  • Literally just played a game and even brought a bps to incentivize people to stay with the bloodhunt nope 2 dcs instantly. Can we just put a extended ban on in freddy games within the first like minute. At least let me get my bbq stacks.

  • The buff and nerf OoO needed lol.

according to devs due to ooo users having such low escape rate they have no reason to nerf it. In their eyes its as balanced as self care :)

    Do you have any examples?

I don't know what this thread is about, but bug's have to be fixed. Not kept in the game and get people banned for them. OP is right.

In any online game that is somewhat competetive gamers will use what they have and make the best from it. This is totally normal. Obviously this also includes all kind's of Exploit's as they come up in every game. The Job of a developer is to have their games tested or test by themselves and solve those issues. Not banning players. They CAN bann anyone they want to, from a legal perspective there is (sadly) no refund included, but it's very bad buiseness practise to do so. Nothing unexpected though from Behavior Interactive. They don't care much about good or bad buiseness practises among developers.

Someone i knew used a glitch on overwatch to get torbs turret through a wall in comp. Guess what he got banned for?

  • In the latest Q and A they shot down sydney anyway with their license talk.

  • @TAG said:

The Red one would be the only one almost worth running, and even then, not really. The only real solution to the problem IMO is to nerf the Mori offerings.

  • @Mandy said:

Ranks are not about what you want, Ranks are there for matchmaking purposes so you're not ranked with weaker players in order to bully them.

Yet as a rank 1 ive faced rank 15s before? Some matchmaking...

  • Doesnt punish actual tunnelers as they will get dsd and still chase you to death. Gives a minute of invulnerability if you jump into a locker (then use inner Strength to get full health) or on the ground with unbreakable. Its synergy potential is insane and the amount of times survivors wave it in my face like they can do whatever they want is dumb. If ya want to punish actual tunnelers then sure go to town make it last a infinite duration in chase or something but make it go down quicker when you do a gen. Your not being tunneled on a gen.

Current ruin is much more powerful and more consistent than the previous one. And even then, it was not a nerf, but a rework

Also Hmm unnerving presence and enduring used to counter ds. Then they patch it so unnerving doesnt affect ds only. It literally affects all skillchecks but ds (even doctors). Enduring also counters ds so ds gets buffed to 5 seconds then they nerf enduring and keep ds.

  • @MrLimonka said:

Can you provide ANY examples where BHVR favored survivors? Any at all?

The devs have been constantly balancing the game, and now killers have a have a much higher chance of winning compared to previous years, where you could have 2 pallets at the same loop, infinites, exhaustion recovering mid-chase.. but you still complain about BHVR favoring survivors? In my eyes, there have been more killer buffs than survivor buffs.

    Ruin Says hello

  • @undoredo said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/197148/what-to-solve-blatant-camping-heres-how

Yeah, of course; camping seems annoying and unfair. But think of it this way:

If you camp someone all the way to death hook, the killer wastes a bunch of time when other survivors do gens, given that the survivor doesn't get saved. If the survivors do wanna save that person, than tank a hit and get the save, or do a 1:1. Bait the killer. Figure it out. It's a strategy with pros and cons.

I don't object to that change, however. Camping can be lame, I suppose, and that could be a good nerf.

And then they down and camp another one or hit them down with noed because your supposed to counter camping with genrush but then noed punishes you for doing that. 2 survivors either way get camped to death. Maybe 3 if the survivors arent fast enough to do all the gens in time. Seems legit.

  • I thought the ps5 was confirmed stronger? What i miss?

That's literally what you're doing about spine chill , git gud bot I'm letting myself out of this convo so you can cry your little heart out about a perk that's not OP just because you lack the brain cells to combat it

There's Kinda two killers that have to look at the survivors idk if youve heard of them their names are michael and ghost face. The amount of times i go to stalk a survivor as ghostface from a very sneaky angle and they just randomly book it because they have a perk that counters my entire existance is dumb. Especially on someone like michael who cant do anything UNTIL hes out of t1. He suffers the most from it because he's literally a 7'1 stealth killer at i think 105%. Not even gonna go into how the perk makes amandas "ambush" useless.

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1662420#Comment_1662420

It only activates if the killer hooks someone, which gives the killer control over this, knowing that bloodwarden is at play means there's no risk, if someone goes down you leave, there's no "sticking around" to try and save if you know that perk is in play.

I Mean rn bloodwarden gives none as well since the meta is always 99...so i mean... (at least good teams 99)

  • @Seanzu said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1662416#Comment_1662416

I agree with bloodwarden needing a buff but I don't think it's this, survivors will tap the door, see it regresses it, and open it to leave knowing bloodwarden is at play, essentially nerfing it.

But Isnt that the point of bloodwarden to punish people for Not leaving if they decide to? Also guarantees it actually goes through.

  • @Seanzu said:

This unfortunately wouldn't be a very fair perk.

You, as a survivor, complete your objective, you're working on a gate, you're about to escape, the killer is coming... you finish the gate and... that's it your dead because the other gate opens.

This punishes people who just want to escape far more than anything, also, you could just camp a gate knowing if they open the other gate, they have to come to the gate you're at for them to escape, and if you have noed you basically 100% guarantee yourself a kill because of this perk.

The Better option would since blood warden needs a buff have it regress the gates so they have to open it once they realize its active.

  • Im surprised they dont just make it if the killers nearby but no other survivors are the survivors hook bar doesnt go down. Thats how the emblem works they lose points if they are near the survivor for a long amount of time with no survivors nearby.

  • @Avilgus said:

My build: Monitor and abuse/Pop/BBQ/Nurse's calling, i don't like undying/ruin combo on him because he is too weak to pressure gens

Ah so hes basically the same as ghostface except instead of m and a i run sloppy on gf for obvious reasons.

  • @Tactless_Ninja said:

I dunno. It's a full minute which is a lot of time when the entire world is crumbling around you.

Maybe it starts the end game collapse immediately before any gates are open? But then they'd definitely know you have Blood Warden.

One idea i liked was for it to regress the exit gates to remove the 99% meta.

If you've been in red for 2 years, why is it a problem to get it again?

Its not id just feel bad stomping new players to get up there. I have no problems with doing it but those are other people playing.

So you're expecting to be rewarded for not touching the game for 3 months?

And by the way, that strategy doesn't always work.

    • One reset won't drag them down to grey ranks
    • If they wait multiple months to derank, they're in the exact same position as you.

I Mean ive been in red for 2 years now i think ive earned my place. And personally i didnt know all of the specifics i just thought youd eventually get sent back to 20. I doubt if i took a 3 month break id forget how to play the game that much.

  • @Mandy said:

First of all "Dirty unfair practice" - sorry but that's pretty strong and it's none of those things.

I've never minded rank reset - I've always seen it as a challenge to get back my previous rank, or to better my previous rank.

If you've taken a break for a few months, it will only take a short time before you're back in the ranks you previously were as your skills are the same and it's far easier for more skilled players to double pip in the lower ranks so they climb back up to the higher ranks much quicker.

So no, definitely not 100% of the player base dislikes Rank Reset, a lot of players enjoy the challenge that it presents and helps them to maintain motivation to keep playing.

So if im rank 1 freddy with the best of the best stuff and i take a 3 month break and get reset to rank 20 should i just stomp my way back to rank 1? I mean thats probably not fun for the new players. As well as the people who use the rank reset to get back to low rank to bully new players.

Yeah as much as we rip on the devs I'm much happier with the game in their hands after seeing that video.

Very disappointed that someone with 5k hours can come up with some of those horrendous or mediocre changes but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and just assume he's after easy popularity.

Honestly i felt a few werent so bad. The heart was in the right place and he was looking at what seems like big problem on both sides (because a killer having to run through 4 bt ds borrowed and deadhard is pretty dumb) the michael buffs made sense since michael has to 99 his modes when other killers with forms can just press a button. OoO has been a thing since released. Ds is still a minute of invincibility. Freddy is free tunnel because of oblivious. Both scott otz tru3 and other youtubers have been saying maps need to be more balanced and not tip one way. Ect.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1656370#Comment_1656370

We are in the middle of that process right now, similar stuff like map changes or insta heal nerfs have been already done. Most of that list will be changed sooner or later, but it would be madness to change that all at once.

Also those changes might sound good on paper, but in reality they would break the game if not executed carefully.

Well Michaels reworks supposedly around the corner so thatll show how much they do i guess since hes been in a horrible place. Especially the fact he has to keep his bar so close to the edge instead of it being a button press. All the new killers with forms can fully charge them then press a button to go into said form. I don't know why michael hasnt gotten THAT sooner.
