Hard to enforce unless a killer says in end game chat "thats what you get ofr wearing the charm" or along those lines.

I dont think anyone would care that much about it to specifically target some people.

Then you clearly don't know much about this community.

Note that the dog part was an exaggeration, I know that you know that I didnt actually kick him. Just so you dont misinterpret that like my original comment.

    I don't even have a dog.

You should get a dog their pretty cool! Personally i more enjoy a cat in some cases though. And yeah i can sadly see that happenin.

  • Are people legitimately using a pallet on them? Why? They literally shamble.

Its the Totem furthest away. So if the Survivor goes for it, they will waste quite some time, because they will probably go map-wide.

I know what im using with inner strength though since inners one disadvantage is the time it takes to cleanse a totem and having to find the totems first. Fairly better than small game imo.

So I finally started paying attention to the stalk meter, and I realized that sometimes, after you finish stalking, the stalk meter sometimes jumps back a little bit. EG, you stalk someone to 98% of the stalk meter, you stop stalking, and the bar depletes to 95% for no reason after you stop stalking. What's that about?

Yeah i think thats been a thing for a while ive noticed it a bit as well. Passed it off as another bug "on the list but not priority"

  • Any different from the ptbs they push to live with like no changes? *coughing fit with twins*

My main complaint about wraith isn't the killer himself, it's how people are playing him

They rarely commit to chases and it just robs survivors of the fun part of the game most of the time. That's not a wraith exclusive problem but that's probably why people have started calling him boring

Not to mention the amount of bamboozle using wraiths I've seen. Basically "no you don't get to play the game"

To be fair i cant spend 40-50 seconds to down you sorry with how this game works ill lose gens pretty quickly.

  • @DistortedDream said:

I disagree. A PTB is necessary to test the stability of the patch before it is released onto live servers.

  • It should be less rare. And be refunded if you don't block a map with it. To much rng for a rare af offering and is completly taking up a offering spot if it hits nothing.

I don't know if it's a silent nerf or a bug, but I'm also sad to see the speed down of holding the billy's chainsaw (4,0 m/s ⇒ 3.68 m/s)☹️

His chainsaw manipulation was delicate, and due to repeated bugs?, fewer and fewer people were using it before the nerf . It's sad that only people who've used it know what they're doing.

When was this? I thought billy and bubba always moved at 4 m/s while sawing?

  • Tournaments have teams with one normally being a killer player. Thats the recommendation at least some teams only have survivor main players but it doesnt work out that well when they have to play killer. So im assuming like i said if your talking about the game being survivor sided at the highest level your one of those tourney killers who faces oracle and needs only spirit and nurse to win? So id love to know the team your on. Or else how would this really effect you?

  • Im assuming if your saying this your a tourney player. May i ask what team you play on? Personally i prefer oracle but im open to more teams. I mean thats the only conclusion that i could come to. Or your at the top 1% where you scrim with the best teams and need only nurse or spirit to Stand a chance. But mmr isnt activated yet...hmm.

yeah ok and survivors don't abuse perks either.

perks being abused outside their intended purpose totally doesn't happen, right?

Like with DS just don't tunnel, right? Well they working on a ######### generator and you randomly came across them only to eat a DS

    ....

    hqdefault (2).jpg

    This ds?

  • @Lord_Tony said:

you complaining about us using gen regression perks.

Well it takes us 3 seconds to kick a gen to initiate a painfully slow gen regression with little to no damage.

Only for a survivor to completely HALT regression at 1/60th of a second known as gen tapping.

    yeah that's totally fair. (sarcasm)

So killers using gen regression perks in this case alone is justified because our base power at kicking gens is absolutely ######### garbage it's shameful

Okay so you explained a good reason for using pop or ruin. What you didn't explain is stacking corrupt, ruin, pop, i could even throw undying on there to tbh. If you pressure well you can do just fine on corrupt pop or i personally good with pop bbq.

  • @Lord_Tony said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2206737#Comment_2206737

You have absolutely no room to talk when SWF is dominating this ######### game and making killers look like a joke.

Corrupt? WE NEED THAT BECAUSE GEN SPEEDS ARE RIDICULOUS.

Ruin? WE NEED THAT BECAUSE GEN SPEEDS ARE RIDICULOUS.

Pop? WE NEED THAT BECAUSE GEN SPEEDS ARE RIDICULOUS + DEFAULT KICKING DOES LITERALLY NOTHING

Tinkerer? WE NEED THAT BECAUSE GEN SPEEDS ARE RIDICULOUS.

bbq? just hide in a ######### locker.

Unbreakable: killers slug very commonly in red (i would know i do it to for pressure).

Borrowed: hit the unhooker or wait the 12 seconds.

Dead hard: wait it out and if they use it for distance then just get them at the next loop.

Decisive: if your getting hit by nerfed ds which is made for pure anti tunnel (since they cant progress the game) either your tunneling or oblivious.

  • Can we talk about the crutch killer build? Corrupt, ruin,pop,tinkerer/bbq. When it works it stalls the game with corrupt. Then you have 2 gen regression perks which ones guaranteed to get value. In a match were this works the killer gets so much leeway the survivors cant come back from. Then throw it on a good killer that already operates fine like blight nurse or spirit its very overkill. Point is both sides have bs perks and builds that need and wil eventually be addressed its not just one side.

  • Dead dawg would like to know your location. I do agree there are a lot of survivor sided maps. But alls a exaggeration.

  • Otzdarvas "doing gens...you?"

He had no perks and used no power, he was a straight up M1 exclusive killer

Trapper could have shut down loops

Lets replace trapper in that video and throw in myers. Seems like a fairer example lol.

  • Honestly id love 1st person Survivor as a option. Even if its a big disadvantage because itd just make the game alittle scarier and fun imo. No mither is literally a perk you run to make the game more challenging idk why this wouldnt be a thing.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2204075#Comment_2204075

Wraith????? Pig??????? Those two killers are really good, pigs dash is very good at closing loops, wraith uncloak post Speed lunge too?? + Wraith has incredible map pressure given his recents buffs too. Legions power comes from literally slowing down the game forever

Without bloodlust it just takes skill to play. If you rely on it, get good period

Yeah those 2 are bad examples. But this kinda shows the problem with myers. He literally doesnt have a chase power. His schtick is to end the chase before it begins but you can hear him from longer than his tr distance if hes running dead rabbit and M and A. And good survivors can outlast the tier 3 just via looping. Myers is the personification of m1.

  • Its annoying because no offense to survivors but theirs shouldnt be the same percentage as killers. For instance were in a 4 man. We can do a all haddonfield week because i have 15. Another friend of mine has 12. Another has 14. And the last one has 20 (balanced landing lol). 61 haddonfields basically. Then as killer i can avoid it by using a sacrificial ward. But if noone actually burns a offering i wasted a sacrifical ward. Which is already 1 green out of how many?

  • @NomiNomad said:

Look, I like Otz plenty. Can we stop treating streamers like their word or experiences are God? This is also just a terrible example. Otz basically nuetered himself.

This chase wouldn't last nearly as long if Otz, you know...

    Was any different killer.

    Used his power at all.

    Had any perks.

And like others Said, this was a 1v1 against known good Survivors. They could use every pallet and loop on the map without having to worry about their other Survivors.

    @Slickstyles said:

All killers have powers... and perks... all of which were not used... That's also one of the most survivor-sided maps in the game.

I mean if say otz played myers itd be about the same since myers power is literally the personification of a m1 killer lol. Obviously the perks would change a lot no denying that.

  • @justbecause said:

By this stats before only 1 person per match would have run ds either these stats are false or we cried for no reason how it's game losing

In terms of the first point, by being optimal and not healing you're not actually being a detriment. Obviously you adapt your strategy if, say, the killer has Tinkerer, however it's preferable to stay on a generator injured because you can hold w when you hear the terror radius. Holding w is such an incredibly strong strategy that everyone always underestimates. The reason I say you shouldn't need to heal yourself more than once is because you have teammates who heal you after an unhook. Unless the killer is playing hit and run, you shouldn't need to use your self heal until late into the match.

Self care wastes 32 seconds, 40nwith Sloppy. In a game where every second is important, with Hex: Ruin being so prevalent in the current meta, that is 16 (20 w/ Sloppy) seconds lost on a generator every time you heal yourself. Using a medkit is 8 (10) second lost, and Inner Strength is about the same with the incentive of encouraging you to find totems and thus delete Ruin. It takes too long and it's incredibly inefficient.

Inner Strength is a preferable alternative but again, if you're healing yourself 3+ times in the same game you're playing dbd wrong, the killer is a Spirit, Nurse, or Blight, or hit and run. You only need 1-2 totems each game. Because, again, teammates exist and they can heal you after an unhook.

In terms of not having enough medkits, you should very easily be able to get enough by levelling a character after a game. If you're levelling a character then play that character and your medkit supply is practically infinite. Even if you don't level them, I have about 200+ brown medkits on Claudette about around 140 on David. That's 340 games I can play of Survivor with a full 16 second heal and spend my points into other people, at which point they would have plenty of medkits on them for me to use instead.

And rather ironically, pre-dropping pallets into w key gaming and playing it safe is incredibly strong and incredibly underrated. Any chase killer gets their power hard countered, and there's only a few killers who can deal with it (Nurse, Spirit, Blight, Wraith, Clown).

So no, self care is garbage perk. Being comfortable while injured is one of the major splits between a good and bad survivor.

"You don't have to heal and can just hold w when you hear the tr"

Me:*laughs in wraith main* lol. Stealth killers really force out the heals imo. Although tbf go ahead self care heal i run nurses as well. So i mean kinda lose lose.

  • Waiting for someone to say "don't chase them and find someone else". Lol.

    New Freddy

Actually hitting survivors is nice, old Freddy had nothing going for him other than he was unique

New freddy with nerfed addons and slower movement speed just feels like any other m1 killer and then he can place clown bottles basically on the floor. Puts a pool on one side and one on the other side. Congrats you get hit. In the words of scott because i kinda feel the same: "freddy:super F. You put ######### on the floor"

We all agree with that, don't we? If only the devs listened...

Personally i found old freddy unique and very fun with his complete invis and then suddenly you feel yourself drifting to sleep. He was wraith but instead of uncloaking to hit you hed sleep you then smack you. Gave the survivors some warning to get to a loop.

  • Just rework freddy to old freddy with gen tp then hed be decent.

  • If your the one amazing survivor amongst like potatoes ill probably spare you as i know how solos feels. Same thing if a person gets farmed on deathhook. Im murdering the unhooker no matter the cost lol. As piggy im the same boop equals meme game.

ehhh, doctor is tricky, a lot of people consider B-tier average or something but a good doctor is very hard to loop. My tip to looping a doctor is to not drop pallets when doctor is far away from you. A lot of survivors tend to get conditioned into being denied a pallet drop that when they do get to drop a pallet, they end up dropping the pallet into animation lock which results in doctor walking in your direction and smacking you after the pallet drop. Another tip I'd say is that if your further than like 16 meters away from the doctor, you can often side-step his shock on purpose, but you will lose distance because your not running the loop optimally, but this can be good if your goal is to drop a pallet. Dead hard is really good vs doctor, a lot of survivors save their dead hard, but than realize they've been shocked thus unable to dead hard, use dead hard to dodge electricity on the floor instead for distance. I'd say you can do a 2 minute chase.

I am not sure why people think that this isn't a real simulation of the game. the real similuation the game is even easier because killers have to find survivors manually, put survivors on a hook and you get 3 chances each to achieve this result.

Rip the people that got Nurse, they shouldn't play the lottery. they won't win.

Yeah personally im glad i ran windows and sprint burst though as my 2 perks. Predropping gp into running normally against a brutal strength doc wouldnt end well. Then he also had instashock (the purple) and longer range. Luckily he respected the 2 pallets till the end so i at least accumulated some time. I kept the record for the entirely of the livestream at 1 minute 10 seconds though.

  • @xenotimebong said:

The Epic/Apple lawsuit has shed some light on the cross-progression issue, and it doesn’t make me confident that there will ever be cross-progression between PlayStation and other platforms, sadly.

Essentially, Sony requires publishers to pay them money if people spend more on their account via other platforms than they do on PlayStation. So if Behaviour allow cross-progression they’re risking getting stuck with fees from Sony every month; I suppose they have to weigh up the costs and benefits to see if it’s worth it.

Sucks, but that’s Sony for ya.

I mean its also good because if sony loses they pretty much have to give in entirely. (The sony lawsuit)

fracture cowshed is 2nd most busted map for survivor. I think zubat said this at the end but he actually could lasted longer. he didn't go to cowshed that has a god window until you break the breakable wall and there are plenty more pallets behind the barn, in front, to left of it, there is also jungle gym that usually spawns moving left of the barn, a pallet to top-right and all these pallets are safe(all M1 killers will never get a hit) if the survivor plays it perfectly. I'd say you can run cowshed for about 5 minutes straight on average in your first chase.

you know what's hilarious though? they don't balance for high-level. instead they balance for what Dowsey survivor-level. most of the survivors could barely run a killer for 30-60 seconds. why do they balance for this? No clue.

Its not like this on every map but a good chunk of the maps are minimum 3 minute+ that are full of safe pallets.+holding W. its why you need to learn to break off chases and utilize deadzones to cut your chase time vs better survivor players.

Oof you wound me. But it was a doc who your not meant to loop for prolonged periods of time. Also he did have docs best anti loop addon combination. And even then i lasted 70 seconds. Coulda lasted longer if i went to the pallet besides the big building instead of running straight to the building. Also the fake left into vault. Personally i thought it was fun though i had a blast. Please don't make fun of anyone else who participated we were all doing it in good fun and im sure they are all good people.

  • Im assuming theyll announce it during the 5th anniversary if they got a yes to increase the hype. If not i have no idea when or if were getting it.

  • @Artick said:

I can show you a million videos where 1v1 against a Nurse, on any map, will end up with the survivor dead in 5 seconds. Does that mean the Nurse needs to be gutted? No, because a real game isn't straight up a 1 v 1, there's so much more going on.

Nurse has a high skill floor. Requires acute muscle memory and forethought. As well as amazing reaction time. What does holding w and predropping pallets require? And survivors can loop for very long amounts of time on most maps as the loops normally favour survivors. I mean i can win matches by just w and predrop as long as the killer doesnt counter it.

In solo it's a miracle if a single totem ever gets cleansed or a gen gets done without your direct involvement ngl, so needing to cleanse totems before starting on gens while Blendette does nothing, baby Meg throws Shack pallet and dies in 0.2s still and Nea DCs because the killer won't chase her is a pretty hard gamethrow

    Yeah fair.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Is it bad that I actually agree with Sluzzy here that Tinkerer + Ruin needs a serious, serious change on high mobility killers, especially where solo survivors are concerned?

Funny think is i at first when ruin first got reworked thought tinkerer would only go off once. But once undying came out and i saw the 3s synergy i was like "tf is this?". I would say though once ruins gone even if you have pop tinkerer loses most of its value. So in the case its no different than ruin survelliance imo.

Yes according to both the dbd player stats pages. They just get off to the fact people think their actually bad at the game meanwhile theyre actually one of the best killers rn. Apparently they throw on survivor and facecamp in a couple of matches (probably to put up a false persona?) But ya cant deny their nurse stats.

The hardest part is balancing how many times you want inner strength and how easily you want noed gone lmao.

Fair. Often when i find 2 totems like close to eachother i know im kinda nerfing myself. But my thing is will i get the full 5 anyway? Rarely maybe against a legion?

  • @Leachy_Jr said:

I mean it's surprising people don't know how to efficiently counter NOED yet. People are still doing all 5 bones?

Heres a 100x more efficient strat if you care about NOED so much.

Go around and find 3 or 4 totems (do not cleanse them)

    Wait until final gen pops

Go back to the 3 or 4 totems you found

There's a 3/5 or 4/5 chance that NOED will spawn on one of them totems, making finding the final few totems useless. If it does spawn on the final totems use basic game sense to find which part of the map its on and listen for the burning.

Not only do you not need to cleanse totems, you also have a much higher chance of finding it.

Why on earth are people still cleansing dulls before endgame?

*slowly raises hand* i run inner strength because sloppy is fairly common. Also 5 possible heals which is pretty good and healing for 8 seconds gets me back to my objective quicker.

  • @Kebek said:

I think it's perfecly fine. A perk that can give you such massive mm speed bonuses as 5-15% needs extreme downsides like losing stacks after each attack.

Besides, it's the ultimate perk for tombstone myers builds which alone justifies it's existence. On special ocassions, instadowning killers or wraith can get good use out of it too.

I think that perk is one of the few that has hit the sweetspot already, not needing any changes at all.

They could fix its interactions with killers like blight and plagues vile purge. Blight rush unless you swing shouldn't be a offensive action. And vile purge on its own doesnt even damage sure it makes em broken but still. It also used to go down on clown bottles.

disagree on end game considering survivors can just 99 the gate so this gives them time to loot chests and then run for the exit with little to no repercussions.

end game will also push the limits of BT and DS

If they are just messing with you at endgame. Perks like noed are helpful. And you have the option to open a gate yourself which allows for blood warden plays.

  • @Yamaoka said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2190894#Comment_2190894

Maybe you're just not as good as killer as you think if you typically lose most gens before your first hook?

Map:red forest. All survivors spawn other side map on 4 different gens. You spend 20-30 seconds just crossing the map. First hit takes 20 seconds. Second hit takes 20 seconds. Hook takes 10. Congrats you have less than 10 seconds to stop a gen. You don't you just lost 3. And survivors will be coming for the one that had 30 seconds on it (the first survivor you chased). *microphone drop* (obviously the other guy was exaggerating but this is actually a very possible thing that can happen and is the primary reason big maps are unbalanced) killer skill has no play here as the chase average is normally 20 seconds or for most killers is actually longer than 20 seconds. You get that amount of time already normally by just holding w after first smack. Like im a pure 50/50 with so many hours on survivor and i just laugh at how timecrunched a killer can be if all the survivors just split up.

1 … 37 38 39 40 41 … 96
