    "head nodding"

Wait, what? I've only ever done this as a killer and survivor to be cute. When someone does it to me I also see it as being cute. When did it become toxic?

eveeverything toxic in this game lol. Someone said i was toxic for spinning at the pallet after stunning them.

as absurd as it may sound, some of them would probably say that yes flashlights should be on constant cooldown. 🤡

People often forget that in order for that “t bag” to work you have to on your end receive it the way they want. I’ve been “humped” on the floor for no reason before and I just think it looks stupid (except Chucky cuz it looks hilarious 😂) The point is you control how you want to receive it.

chucky adorable hahaha. i can barely take him serious even when he running behind me trying to tunnel. Do what you got to do little man hehehe

  • why would i stop wiggling when it's always a slight chance to excape the grasp. Besides people take hits like it's candy when the killer carrying in solo q.

  • It really nothing that can be done. T bagging, head nodding, hook hitting. flashlight clicking, even floor humping a thing apparently.... Can't really stop these things. What can u do realistically? Make flashlights only able to be click once every dozen of seconds?

    @SwampDaddeh9 said:

I'm honestly sick and tired, both as a survivor and killer, of Survivors teabagging and repeatedly flashing their flashlights.

I get it. You're a skilled survivor. I get it, you want the killer to chase you because you think so highly of yourself. But this constant teabagging in the exit area or anywhere on the map and the repeated flashlight clicking is only promoting a toxic behavior that is still going unchecked. They need to put the flashlight click on a long cooldown and they need to put the crouching on a cooldown until players can start learning to play in a civil manner. It's time the game developers start taking charge and start teaching their player base to stop being so toxic.

how do u put flashlights on cool down without interrupting normal gameplay? People spam flashlights at killer carrying survivors, killing going through windows, and signaling stealth Killers out. How will u limit flashlight clicking without affecting gameplay?

  • Bargo and garden of joy often spawn 4 lanes without a window or jungle gyms with no pallets.

  • Thank God this map up next. This is the only map I play nasty on cuz it's just impossible to deal with them buildings sometimes. I'm assuming every building getting gutted which i have no problem with but there need to be actual usable Pallets. Them pallets behind them sheds trash. Way to easy to get zone. Them pallets in the garden by main building isn't bad but again a bit easy to get zone. Need way more pallets in the center as well

I’ve been playing a lot of Bubba lately with the BP build and trying to hook everyone 2x but why do most survivors just tbag me so much at the exit gate like tf is your problem man? I’m not camping/slugging or BMing or using 4x slowdown perks, I’m just here having fun and grinding the bloodpoints. And it doesn’t help that most of them say ez in endgame chat 😂 btw if you see a handsome Bubba with his purple suit and letting you escape, you are totally welcome ❤️

If the killer play with honor i will always drop my item at the exit gate before leaving. Some survivors just t bag no matter what it super cringey. A good portion of survivors don't even know when the killer is intentionally playing for hooks. That's probably because a lot of them don't play killer much. I pretty much only play for hooks and i get them survivors every once in a while as well.

If only they learned how to play against SM they'll know if they crouch or just stay still like working on a gen the drone won't detect them at all or just not touch the drone of she just keeps coming back to reset it.

I think a lot of people know them tricks but they still rather go next. The current skull Merchant isn't too bad but the damges old skull merchant cause is unrepairable.

  • of course it the first post

  • i cant really name someone who super uncommon that i like to see more. my favourites to go up against is huntress, blight, wesker, unknown, and nurse. None of them is super uncommon.

Why do u survivors ######### on 1st hook if the other 3 survivors are on gens and one of them doesn't leave to get u after a mere 5 seconds? We all see the hud. We know u need to be unhooked. U can wait 20 seconds before one of us leaves to get you. It a smart strategy to make the killer leave the area and start a new chase

completely agree! the killer can easily return and tunnel if they not in chase already. It's literally to their the detriment to get off the hook quickly.

Nothing else to do so yeah billy camping at end game of course. If your complaint is there's no counterplay vs instant down killers at the hook then ok fair enough.

You either trade your life or leave. Huntress on basement stairs, Basement trapper, bubba, infinite tier 3, billy, huntress with iridescent head they all the same. It almost no counterplay at end game to any of them. They are leaving with one if the killer competent.

  • @Xernoton said:

Since the event started I have won exactly one game as a killer because someone felt the need to suicide on first hook (and I still barely managed to get a 3k). 22 of my killer matches were losses and I got 3 draws.

And it's not just that I lost these games. In almost all of them, the survivors refused to finish the last gen for a good 3 minutes. But of course, if I go afk because they refuse to do end the match, I get disconnected! That is beyond messed up.

By now i know that I'm not at 100% because I'm seriously pissed off that I can't seem to have a single enjoyable match. Every game it has been at least 2 FTP + Buckle Up (one match it was 4!) and of course the gens are done in less than 5 minutes anyway. I can take a few bad games. But this is too much. I'm so incredibly mad at this damn matchmaking and BHVR's failed attempt to contain cheaters in any way.

In the last 3 games I saw a total of 5 cheaters! What in the world is going on? How can you mess up so bad? I'm speechless. The 1 game that actually looked like it might work out for me, I lost because 2 survivors could kobe. I'm almost convinced that this wasn't legit either because the likelihood of something like this is so insanely low but I can't tell for sure. I checked, if they brought any luck offerings or perks but nope. That was just 2 kobes.

I have learned from this though. From now on, I will stop playing the second I see a single FTP + Buckle Up. I will also stop playing nice. From now it's full meta, best killers and addons as well as map offerings for Midwich and hard tunneling every game. Because I'm done with being someone else's plaything in this game.

Rant over. You can go home now.

Jesus I thought only a bad streak like that exist in solo queue. Tunnel away sometimes u gotta play nasty. Eventually you'll get back in your groove and be able to play chill again.

Yeah that how it been where (NA) I'm at too. From 5 am to the middle of the day it on survivor. Rest of the time on killer.

I started feeling like I’m burnt out by this game couple days ago. I got over a thousand hours in the past year and I spent a good amount of money, own all dlcs and a good bunch of cosmetics. (I’m not kidding, I went overboard and prob spent at least 1k between battle pass rift, characters, skins etc).

So I feel bad for the fact this game stresses me so much I feel burnt out. Whenever I get on, I do one or two matches and want to quit and it’s been like this for the past week. Should I just take a break?

I feel like I’m getting out against sweats, the only matches I do either me or my teammates get tunneled and often the rest slugged.

I wish there was a way to make it less stressing, by having voice chat or disabling mmr.

    What can I do?

yeah i go through that phase like every so often but usually only on one role at a time. When I'm not feeling solo q i just play killer. When I'm not feeling killer i play only when my friends are online in a swf. If u completely burnt out than u should have a back up game to go to.

  • The events are consistently the most fun time to play dbd at least for me. It not on the void event or anniversary 7 level but still pretty amazing

I am not big on Alert or Deja Vu as I feel killer location will be game sense to some extent and I always am the one pushing out unsafe/mid gens to break any 3 gen early. So I would rate 6/10 as I do think Empathy can have some value in solo queue

My solo queue build: Kindred, We'll Make It, Balanced Landing, Unbreakable

Escape rate: 4 of 10 at best (Edit: it really depends on my luck as far as random team mates go).

kinderd because q sool q are headless chickens without it. We'll make it cause u know that one survivor gonna be begging for a heal under hook 🤣. A exhaustion perk and unbreakable! pretty solid build 7.5

Solo Q build- object, metal of man, overcome, bond.

Excape rate around 30% to 35.

What I have been running until Weaving Spiders put me off solo queue for... a significantly long time, especially a bunch of people who swore up and down it was extremely good and couldn't do basic math that 60 seconds with 2 people doing the circle of stupid is still 120 seconds @_@. Never mind the whole fact that 9x7 never mind 9x5 is a lot less then 120. UGH.

    Anyway rant over.

My build was Windows/Lithe/Inner Strength/Saboteur with a map that helps me find totems. I used to run Kindred over Lithe but Kindred is seriously depressing sometimes. Especially with stupidity circle.

Sabo is purely for blood points. Yell at me if you want for that but sometimes it does draw the killers attention and the amount of ways that the tome makes you throw is nothing compared to saboing every so often if you see something along the way.

My own escape rate is about 40% which is the average.

    6 out of 10

  • He's very strong but most importantly fun to go against. The uvx created a lot of interesting gameplay just off bouncing and hitting through walls. They way u approach looping him is completely different than most. I think this is one of behavior best killers personally.

Decides to play pallet freddy, gets destroyed (no suprise with such killer power) and gets tbagged and end game trashtalked for "ezi killer".

Few games after playing strong good killers and winning, decides to play Pig.

Gets 8 hooks, 0 kills before all gens are done (very friendly and awesome result) and when I am about to get at least that one kill, two Survivors runs towards me as I am in attack cooldown animation, TWICE IN ROW uses Buckle Up + For The People and picks that Survivor up. Like I feel such a fool. I didn't run meta build on either of the killers. No gen slowdowns, just chase perks or end-game delay.

Man it so cringey when they do that. It like they never won before

  • Seeing every killers run around with coup de grâce type lunge is cool. Event look visually great but it could be better. Also the survivor ability seem kinda weak but it not that big of a deal. The bloodpoints is nice but definitely not as much as promise.

Really? Because anytime i mention "comp" i get told "that doesn't matter not everyone plays comp" in regards to how fast survivors are able to do gens.

So my response to you is the same. Comp doesn't matter, its such a small minority of players it doesn't matter.

    ok fair enough

  • The centrer of the map is kinda busted but everything else is fine. Most of the pallets in the center that spawn near or by fences cannot be mind game. Main building have one God pallet upstairs and two solid windows downstairs. A terrible pallet behind main, a bad pallet near Sarcophagu on one side of main, and a filler rock pallet usually on the other side of main. All this is reasonable to deal with it. Nearing close by the outskirts of the map u have all the traditional loops and shack. (4 lanes, LT walls, jungle gyms, long walls). Again nothing super crazy to deal with. Just the center pallets are a problem. I don't mind this map as killer that much personally. I prefer this map compare to a strong main building map like garden of joy or groaning storehouse. Much rather deal with a few god pallets over super strong windows

  • @Reinami said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/407481/noed-is-problematic

There are ways to deal with noed. Instead of rushing gens, you could look for totems as well.

i don't watch comp but i pretty sure they not wasting multiple mintues searching and cleansing dull totems. Just cuz it's a counter to something doesn't mean it's viable or even reasonable to do.

  • @Unusedkillername said:

Killers have slowly been dipping in quality and I'd honestly like to see fewer killers being released IF it could mean we get better ones. Adding something to the game doesn't automatically make the game better because there is more content if the killer is not fun to play against, and I stress it is more important how they are to play against because you can opt out of playing a killer if they are not fun to play if you're a killer player, as a survivor you cant opt out of playing against a killer (unless you throw and die on hook) hence skull merchants kill rate.

This doesn't necessarily mean the killers have to be bad I'm a killer main and think huntress, blight, and hillbilly all have my favourite designs to both play as and against and they are all very powerful killers. The killers I have an issue with are things like the dredge, knight, xenomorph, and Chucky because on most pallets and tiles these killers can force a hit regardless of survivor input-

Chucky- respects pallet, crawls under pallet, charges gets hit.

Xenomorph- respects pallet, hits over pallet if you greed pallet and don't drop it he just hits you on the next loops round with if power (can greed on circular loops but still its sucks), The counterplay to Xenomorph is a side quest based around turrets.

Knight- puts power one place rotates the other. Gets hit.

Dredge- puts remnant next to pallet one way, rotates the other way around it, hits you if you try to play pallet or you are forced into him. If you have a good tile location you may get to leave loop and w.

Even when killers are not bad they tend to share design elements with some worse killers and it hampers them, I don't think the unknown teleports feel fair when you get forced into one by him. (like a dredge remnant) Or they tend to have a side objective like EMPs or turrets that let you deny a killers power mid chase so there is not a worry about them being OP, but this method has its drawbacks. I was playing against a Sadako with friends who were semi-new to DBD and they didn't understand the TVs and 2 got condemned early. It may sound silly but for new players having a killer have a unique side objective makes their first few games against that killer a write off they WILL lose and it creates the impression that the killer is OP even if they are weak while for a longtime player its just another task to do but if it denies a killer of their power it feels awful.

    My solution-

Better killers. It sounds easier said than done and I know that hence why I think if we got less killers but they were better it would be better than what it is like now. As negative as this post is I have been playing DBD since Freddy's release and the game has generally gotten better over time so I do unlike many believe in the dev's abilities. And besides that some of the new killers even if I don't like them are ambitions the knight is the first killer since Nemesis with AI minions and they are used in a much more proactive way while Chucky is the first 3rd person killer. They are willing to try things I just hope they can see some of the more obvious issues with some killer designs while they are making them.

I think most of them are well designed but i can name about 6 to 7 out of 30+ roster who need to be change. All killers with bad counterplay should be address. It absolutely no reason why clown only counterplay is to pre drop and leave the loop. Absolutely zero reasons why trickster counterplay rely on a very situation high wall structure not to die immediately. Next u got the people who just sit stuff at loops like knight and skull merchant. At least dredge and artist can be baited! they also require good timing to be effective. Knight and skull merchant take zero brain power to utilize their ability at most loops. We don't even have to talk about chucky scamper...

  • @Spirit_IsTheBest said:

Me and my friends decided to get some value out of this perk. One of will run Object and keep the killer busy, while the rest of us will go to the salt circle and put the affect on all generators, -10% progress is not much but is pretty helpful.

Without a gen rush build or toolboxes it did save us a good amount of time as we did stay together doing generators.

How the perk could be better in general? The broken status needs to be removed after being hooked instead of it being applied for the entire match afterwards, it being permanent is too harsh, also I’d like the generator buff to be 15% instead of 10%, a small but helpful quality of life change for the perk.

it don't think any buff would justify sitting for 2min to proc no mither. It need to be completely rework.

The map is large, has a nice palette, and has a reputation for great interaction between loops, creating a balance that allows Survivors to pick up the pace without giving simple M1 killers time to watch theater screens. Even if there are generators in places other than the theater, it is an environment where the survivors can easily buy time and share the work to complete the gen. Also pay attention to the wall that the killer stain will pass through. At least it's not extremely difficult to complete the gen on this map.

"and has a reputation for great interaction between loops"...

You yourself wrote that you have never used Dramaturgy before. If you're going to put this perk at rank 9, I'd say use it first. It can protect you from damage in many positions. Also, the survivors you knocked down because of exposure either couldn't loop very well, or they used the perk in the only place it shouldn't be used (i.e. the dead zone).

...you was right. After much testing it pretty nasty in chase. I would probably put it as number 5 on my list now. Thanks again i wouldn't never gave it chance

There are a few neat tricks you can do with it now on certain structures / more mind games available.

I dunno if it makes up for the loss of box auras, but after trying it out, it is definitely way better than people were making it out to be.

I'm loving her new changes. on a 30+ streak running a chase piggy build. grease & will make the ambush kinda scary. I never care for the cheese strats of the boxes but she can still do them. You can still run scream builds with longer search time and cheese a win. You can still harass people off of boxes after working out the spawn locations. I can see it being a net loss to people who was heavily dependent on the box aura reading but i think the pig looking solid after much playing.

  • Just rework the effect entirely. I don't blame the devs they tried something new but it not practical! It's no reason It should be a 3 v 1 at the beginning of a match. They would legit be more useful as tunnel food. At least than the killer would be busy as the others work.

I also play both sides, and solo queue can definitely still be tough, but a lot of it comes with the mindset you play with! Of course your teammates might not be doing things optimally, or doing things at all, but I think it's important to focus on improving your own gameplay and just overall have fun :D.

Seeing killer buffs can be disappointing for some people but variety in killers is what keeps people coming back.

Also love this new chapter. I've seen lots of praise and of course some mixed thoughts but the marketing has been incredible, we get a cool looking survivor, and and awesome looking killer. Even if the killer power doesn't deliver on what a lot of people expected, the aesthetic is super cool! Would love to see a change to weaving spiders! Maybe lower time to invoke?

yeah the killers are the selling point so they definitely need to be strong and unique. Behavior had did a good job in buffing them which the community have been asking for forever.

"Would love to see a change to weaving spiders! Maybe lower time to invoke?" Just by how powerful the effect is it's going to even be terrible or overpowering. i think it just need a different effect all together.

We all love DBD, that's why we play it, and that's why we're here on these forums always addressing our concerns and the things we like. But now I would argue is one of DBD's peaks. Resident Evil chapters were obviously great hits but now we've got (I would argue) hit after hit. Yeah we went through some tough times, some tough releases, but now things have been great, despite all the negativity people have about balancing. We got the Xenomorph, which was awesome (even though it needed some tweaks to be brought down a little), a super cool implementation of Chucky, Alan Wake and this All Things Wicked chapter! Maybe I'm a bit biased too but the Iron Maiden collab and Slipknot collabs are also reasons I've returned after many months.

Anyways, what do you think are some of DBD's peaks?

As someone who like to rotate between killer swf and sometimes solo q i can say it pretty good right now. Solo q still feel like unplayable at times but balance wise the game feel alright. Definitely not peak tho

Behavior been buffing killers across the board and solving a lot of survivor issues (3 gen solutions, DCs bot, anti face camping)
