The people who say this are primarily killer players who solo queue to run chest builds and play immersed.

Very similar to the people who say survivor should feel terrible to play because its realistic to the 'horror theme.'

i don't know what world these players be living in but no one q up to consistently lose. The whole horror theme gimmick only works on new players for first 100 hours max

I'm curious why this perk appears to be flying under the radar.

Thankfully survivors have a few perks (Spine Chill and Rookie Spirit) that can help to play around it, but I don't think we'll ever see a day where Rookie Spirit is meta

lol rookie spirit vaule for once. I don't know why players isn't talking about this perk but it usage have only been climbing.

I don't expect to escape but if you do wanna have that feeling then I say look forward to killer bots coming at some point like I am. Hopefully they make for good practice!

i never understood this logic of thinking. Why do u q up to lose? I hate this notion that the Survivors should just focus on having fun and not worry about winning. I'm not saying u said that but it very common to hear it on these forums

    Trickster as Joker

    Oni as Bane

    Unknown/Doctor as Scarecrow

    Legion as Red Hood

You could make an entire Batman collection honestly!

i like the sound of all of that

  • it might be difficult giving how big the batman franchise is but I'll say it anyway.

    download (7).jpeg

Joker skin for trickster. Just substitute the knives for throwing cards

Would you want to play a side that have 40% of winning chance?

    Rhetorical question right

I think once the last 2 survivors left they should have their auras revealed every 45-60 secs.

    compromise

How about increasing the survivors gen repair speed by 15% when 2 people left and reavel their location via killer instinct every min for 5 seconds. so no locker hiding

also deactivate once that gates are power

  • This thread desperately need to go back into rotation. This perk is broken against solo q as is. It right up there with background player, current UW, or ftp/buckle up. It Zero counter to this perk on indoor maps especially. Bubba isn't meant to be permanently undetectable!! You kick a gen, enter chase, and soon the chase over u back undetectable again. It stupid!!!! the cooldown non existing just like UW

  • Run kindred or magically hope every survivor know what the killer is during from x amount meters away.

or be in swf of course

  • Honesty not to sound rude friend but u back at it again?I'm really starting to think it should be a cap on how many threads someone can make a day. This is your eleven thread in 2 days all complaining about things on one side exclusively. You struggling this much??? What killer do u play.

  • @ArkInk said:

This is primarily a question for killers, but I feel like it definitely applies to survivor too.

I feel like most in the community tend to latch onto a specific character and build much of their persona/discussions around them, so I was wondering, how often do you deviate from that character?

As killer, I honestly can't really say I have a main at all anymore. I've been playing Chucky the most as of late because he's so much fun, but I still wouldn't say I play him more than 10% of the time. I usually play Stealth killers, but I like switching it up to some of the chase centric or weird ones too. As weird as it is to say, I kinda love the Sadako rework and all the different aspects of her kit.

As survivor, I think I'll stick to Nicholas Cage just cause he's funny, but Jill and Bill are pretty frequent sub-ins because I like their games.

So, who's your main and how often do you actually pick them to play?

My mains are people i do the best with or have the most fun with. I play piggy for fun daily and slinger once a week for the entire day. Pig is like my go to killer because i don't have to think to hard when using her and she pretty underrated. Slinger always requires warm up games and overall u gotta focus way more using him. Slinger stupidly strong in the 1v1 and i love being able to go for 12 hooks every game.

As survivor i mainly play jeff and meg. Sometimes i like pre drop every pallets and really embody the meg head stereotype

  • insert 40% statistics to justify the terrible state of solo q.

people giving up constantly, matchmaking that pair u with anybody, and overpowering tactics that still to this day have bad counterplay for your average solo q team. These are just some of the things that make playing solo q pointless

Over 80% of the blights I go against run this combo. “The downside is they only get 3 rushes”, you say. if they regain all their tokens in 6 seconds instead of 10, is it REALLY a downside? Especially with that speed, any distance you’ve made by outplaying the Blight can be caught up almost immediately. I honestly do not understand how anyone can think that this is fine.

I saw a few complaints here and there about it. Definitely need to be change! The old blight had to be more precise with his bounces to get the right angle to curve in for a swing. The new 3 rush blight can basically go around the entire tile with one rush ( including big ones like shack and Jungle gyms) making getting a hit way easier .In my opinion his anti loop seem far greater than previously but three rushes is risky.

Most blights i went against was running this combo as well. Giving both addons the same downside was a mistake is seems. Double speed addons take about 4 rushes to achieve the flat 20% tag give you so why not run both irl? Is vastly superior to all his other addons right now when ran in combination.

  • often for me

i see mainly uunknown, wesker, blight, huntress, and chucky.

  • I'm just hoping for some fun new mechanics. The void portals , party pallets, and instant break pallet was all super interesting. i want behavior to give us something on that level of fun

  • that perk already nnasty on slinger and clown.

  • no more resident evil please

Hyperfocus : the most overrated perk in DBD history

Sole survivor and Clairvoyance : the most underrated perks in DBD history (obviously, only for some gamestyle)

Pharmacy: the most forgotten perk in DBD history (why does it still exist?)

Weaving spiders: this is a good killer perk, does a better job Pop or Pain resonance , but I'd say a solid "A tier"🤣

6 hyper focus skills check shave off 9.45..…that it?definitely overrated

hitting 6 normal skill checks would take off around 5.5

"Six great skill checks with both hyperfocus and active Stakeout save 18.09 seconds". Every additional skill check give you 5.04. So hyper focus is only usable with a gimmick perk known as stake out and even then u can't depend on using the tokens. Run out of tokens back to trash repair speed. In summary you can't be average or even good at hitting skill checks to use this perk. You have to master hitting at 8 to 9 skill checks consistently without burning through stake out tokens to get value out of this perk. 99.9% player base will never be able to do that. I'm sure it some sweatball who can hit 9 in row consistently while keeping a stake out token (crushing every gen in 50sec) but it ultra rare. You're more likely to see someone win 500 games with nurse then someone who master a hyperfocus

If I recall—though I doubt my memory is all-encompassing—nothing's been said about this pretty overtly problematic combination. Surely they don't mean for this to be kept in the game, not if things like hug tech—which increase killer skill ceilings without, so far as I know, being problematic—are getting removed. Surely the no-solution instant out combo that has literally no risk is getting the ax.

I just want to know if I missed when they said something about the combo staying or going.

They acknowledge the combo in a reddit ask me anything if I'm not mistaken. Will it be nerf tho? not sure

According to nightlight both perks remain in the 2% pick rate. I'm sure the sweaty 4man SWF is running it but most players just don't use it. If the pick rate was much higher I'm sure it wouldve already be on the chopping block.

  • you have to respect dh just the law of the land. E!!

  • We seen the damge that 3% could do so i wouldn't say it completely bad. It's just the radius is too short for 2% boon that can be remove quickly

Best state the game has been in balance wise but there's still a lot to be addressed.

    • Tunnelling needs something that isn't locked behind a pay wall.
    • 4 slow down stacking should be addressed as well as the need for killers to run slow down in the first place.
    • FTP/Buckle Up and Background Player are overtuned.
    • Nurse still needs to be looked at
    • Low tier killers like Freddy and Myers desperately need something
    • The amount of survivors giving up mid game is insane
    • Map design

Overall though, I'm happy with the state of the game for the most part right now.

That's pretty much most of my complaints as well. They done great things over the last year (removing gen tapping, buffing killers, anti face camp, anti 3 gen,) but still have much more to go. The game is a decent spot overall

Yeah, would be a shame if an Anti-Tunnel Perk would have any impact on Nurse. In the end, she could have always NOT tunneled…

Maybe a 10 sec compromise so Mobility Killers won't be immediately back on you. How does that sound?

  • if nurse have to float around the map for 40 seconds without blinking she gonna lose. I like his idea of it being a universal perk but that about it

The event ended not even a hour ago and I'm so used to the bonus points, I expected 150-200k per match but now I'm only getting about 25k and it feels awful. 😞

I have a feeling people are going to run a lot of bloodpoint offerings (including myself) now since the bonuses are now gone.

i been running the copium build of thrill of the hunt, beast of pray, and distresses for more bloodpoints.

  • revert background player back to 4 seconds or put it back at 150% speed at 6 seconds. It way to strong as is right now

  • nah i rather stick with this meta. The most chill regression perks been in comparison to the last few years

Hard to justify playing a Killer with basekit stealth, when Unforeseen turns mobility and instadown into the best stealth killers in the game.

It's fun to catch survivors out of position and minimize shift w when using it. When i play it killer the perk great but ill give u my thoughts as survivor. It's the same thing I thought on the ptb It haven't change and i even made a thread about it before . Some of the new perks that been coming out just totally out class the older perks. Buckle up is superior to we gonna live forever. Current ultimate Weapon (getting change i know) is superior to thwack in every way possible. Unforeseen is just trail of torment with no counterplay to cut it off, no good indication that it on, and nearly no cool down like current UW. Trail have a 60 second cool down, indicate the survivors map wide that a gen is yellow, and can be counter by working on the gen. Dark devotion- injure the obsession in order to go undetectable and place your terror radius on them. Unforeseen similar effect but requirement way easier to activate....with a 30 second cool down just like dark devotion. which basically meaning you undetectable the whole match. Much like old Ultimate Weapon soon u done with a chase u off of cool down and ready to go undetectable again. This is definition of power creep. let just look at one character who become complete bull $h** when undetectable the whole entire match.

Plague- if they sweating they run the aura reading and basically undetectable the whole entire match with this perk making it nearly impossible to counter them at certain gens. Gens often spawn at Jungle gyms, main buildings, shack, etc which all have terrible line of sight for approaching undetectable killers. Certain characters isn't designed to be walking around with no terror radius most of the match. A instant down killer especially like bubba shouldn't be able to round a jungle gym corner undetectable constantly

  • @100PercentBPMain said:

What if you're trying to be healed on death hook but you're attacked by a tunneling zombie?

    🤣🤣🤣

  • Buff- Give freddy a sharp increase in everything. Faster projection when teleporting, less cool down on the teleport, faster snares placement, Slight increase in the snare hinder ( just 2%).

    nerf- Gut TS peice already

rework trickster & clown- add actual counterplay to these guy powers. Not situational High walls and pre-dropping.

it´s not really a bug report, but i´ll remove the link for the video if needed

It's not a bug but it definitely cringey as hell. It like sending yourself to the game with a full scream build as pig. Self-aware and Champion of the light allow you to avoid entering chase while walking at nearly running level speed. Should by passing bloodlust be a thing?? absolutely not but more so an oversight by the dev's. There's several absurd combos just running around right now. (Ftp/buckle up, DMS/grim, background player/ with nearly anything lol) don't even get me started on certain killers add-ons with map offerings. There's so many ways to cheese the game

  • He's looking unusually powerful. congrats

I am still newish, and part because I'm seeing more of it.... especially in solo... But here I am, playing a good game with teammates that are not so good. I avoid the killer, escape, do gens, wait for the good time to unhook…basically play the way I should. No hooks and then I realize I'm going to have to run interference while teammates are are two hooks in. One hit, down , moir. I mean playing a great game and then dead. Isn't this kinda opposite what they are going for. I get punished if I don't unhook, heal people. Gens and escape...I fail to get emblems, but if I play…instant dead. Then I get a stupid killer that tells me I need to get better. One hit and I'm garbage? Besides spending every game looking for every totem, which is a waste, what's the counter? Lockers and hide entire game? It's just unfun.

it insane but hex perks can be broken immediately so it balance.

🤣🤣Nothing worse than whooping a killer ass and devour hope/no(ob)-ed proc to landslide the game.

You’re right huh? They probably will remove the bloodpoints. Lol okay I guess

Btw where is your vote in the poll about rating your own mmr? I know which one you will pick 😂

My MMR is above such polling. 2000 hours in and I have a total of zero losses ever. Do you think it's fair to report something like that? If it wasn't already obvious! I'm high mmr....just like most on here. The forum is where the elite mmr minds gather to talk big balance stuff.

  • @Xernoton said:

I know that this is technically a suggestion but I would like to focus on discussing it and see how my idea could be improved, so I'd very appreciate, if the mods don't move it to Feedback And Suggestions. Thank you.

WoO has been discussed quite a bit. There are people that really like it, there are people that hate it and there are some that are indifferent about it. Personally, I like the idea of the perk but not the execution.

So I suggest to change the perk so that it stays active as long as you are not in chase but goes on a cooldown after X amount of time (I think 5 seconds should suffice) once the chase starts and stays inactive for Y amount of time (15 seconds maybe), then activates again and repeats.

This would allow the perk to cover for solo queue issues, help survivors learn maps and get rid of it as a crutch because in order for it to really make a difference, you actually need to put in some work. It would also further incentivise learning maps because you would memorise 1 or 2 nearby loops.

I don't care so much about whether or not you think WoO absolutely needs a nerf (that has been discussed more than enough) but more about what you think of this suggestion. What potential issues could it have and what adjustments should be made? I also wouldn't be against it getting a neat second effect, should it end up being too weak.

I'm ok with the idea i guess. Don't think the nerf would even do much to the perk honestly. "It would also further incentivise learning maps" We need a trapper bot so survivors can actually run around different maps learning the pallet spawns. I had to use windows for the first 1500 hours myself because there just to many maps.

  • 7.5 out of 10 pretty good changes but DS just gonna become a problem again. I'm all for tunneling getting nerf but how will this be any different from the last time DS was meta. Strong players will use it offensively again.

  • 2 or more anniversary cakes/party streamers= everyone excape. Let's just say a lot of people have been escaping

  • The devs did solid job with these changes. Hopefully For the people/buckle up is next on the radar.
