Stop suggesting this. Just, all of you stop suggesting this. It's never going to happen and never should. This would be TERRIBLE, and wouldn't actually make less played killers more popular. It'd just muck up queues.
-
Jason does a lot conceptually but in practice is really bad. His spike throw is way too easy to dodge and Omnipresent Evil is incredibly easy to counter if you have any sense of patience or map awareness. If you just, don't ignore windows and pallets when you see the fog, or you crouch, he can't do anything about that. Jason needs buffs far more than he needs nerfs.
-
Jason is a C Tier killer. If you want to nerf his map mobility and relegate him fully to D tier status, at least suggest making his spike throw have less startup— And, also, don't suggest making him have no chase power for so long, his reload is already enough of a problem. Also, nerfing his info during power? Survivors already have enough tools to counter it as-is, even if doing so is boring. You want him to be effectively useless if I'm reading this right.

Don't worry! Just like springtrap there is a lame lore reason why Vecnas power is "super weak" while yes he is practically a god. When he entered the realm to learn about the Entities secrets and whatnot, The Entity put a seal of (forgot the name of the seal) on the back of his neck without him noticing. This is one of the reasons used to explain why Vecna does not try to fight the entity because if he does his powers are weakened and he'll lose. Albeit a dumb reason but he for sure should've had some more necromancer type stuff.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure this is why his power just feels like some kid got taught some spells from some homeless guy
Oh, I know he's got a canon reason to be weak— But why does he have to be lame, too, you know? No necromancy, no cool illusions, no cool shady evil magic? Nothin'?
-
Chucky doesn't really have a power at all, and "but he's short" can only come into play on like. very specific loops. He could have been a crazy doll-switching macro weirdo but he's got a power that feels like a placeholder. He has the most basic dash attack in the game and a stealth mode that's just as creative. He doesn't even latch onto a survivor when he hits them to then bounce off to someone else or do anything like interesting with being small, he's just… He just IS small and is 110% for some reason.
Vecna actually has a power but it's totally off the mark. Actual necromancer, no necromancy. I don't count his skeletons 'cause that is Burning Hands. That is a generic cone spell. I'm gonna ignore that his visual design sucks, his power has no necromancy spells that are not just a generic cone attack, and his spells are 3rd level at their highest. He does not play around with being a wizard in an interesting way, he has no spells that are thematic for a lich who is the master of secrets and undeath, he's just… Bland.
Wesker would have fit the game more if he was based off his role in RE1 as a double crossing mercenary instead of RE5 Matrix Superhero Man. He could have had a cool REsistance style, like, zombie-summoning trap-triggering thing going on. But he is a dash attack.
-
Other than not fitting that well thematically, Doom Slayer wouldn't really have a good power, either. He's the Shoots You and Is Fast guy. There's nothing you could really do there without making him busted or feel immensely nerfed, at which point, why bother?
-
I don't think they can do skins of licenses for other licenses.
If we were gonna get a Dragon Priest— I'm choosing to ignore the fact Skyrim in DbD is a really hard sell and just about an impossibility because I really like Dragon Priests— We'd probably get Miraak. He definitely has the scope for a power, something like the Drain Vitality shout or using conjuration magic, tapping into his Hermaeus Mora artifacts, maybe even mind control in some way, that'd all be cool.
-
On the one hand, I've had my own sort of pipe dream weird license hopes before. I'm still holding out for something from Jojo's like Yoshikage Kira or part 1's Dio Brando. But I do kind of think there's a limit. At least the weirder chapters we've had so far have been… Spooky. I don't think they executed on Castlevania or DnD well, but the idea was there.
There's not, as I understand, anything horror-themed or even 'could have been horror-themed if they tried' to Cyberpunk. I haven't seen Edgerunners, I guess, but from what I've gathered it really doesn't fit.
-
I'm still waiting on the RE7 chapter with Jack as killer, and Mia and/or Clancy from the DLC as survivors. It'd be perfect.
I think none of the RE8 villains have enough presence or potential compared to Jack, and I wouldn't really want a fourth chapter, but if they did… Heisenberg's powers would be interesting.

I think you are severely underestimating how good her stealth is. She can attack directly out of stealth, she moves at full speed in stealth, she can't get knocked out of stealth by being revealed, she makes way less noise than the other stealth killers, she doesn't have a lullaby, and her stealth doesn't give survivors a global announcement that it has been activated. It's arguably the best stealth in the game.
And it is way more than Trapper, because her traps are actually useful in chase, if survivors are in an area that currently has zero traps. Seriously, try chasing survivors as Trapper, when survivors are in an area with zero traps, and let me know just how useful his trap ability is in chase.
Oh, don't get me wrong— Pre-nerf Skerchant was objectively better in every way. Trapper's abysmal in comparison…
But I think that's just 'cause Trapper sucks. None of the trap killers are really allowed to… Work? Skerchant included, evidently, she has been intentionally unusable for a while now. I just think saying Skerchant has a lot more stuff is wrong— Her stuff just has any functionality. She's better, but still not good.
Anyway, it's like, I don't think either killer is getting actually UNDESERVED hits. They set up their traps properly and you fell for it— That's on the survivor. Skull Merchant is triply so earning it, because it has to happen three times. Even using drones in chase, that takes a while, and often requires major misplays on the survivor's part!

- She gets stealth when she drops a trap, and she's so quiet that she can actually sneak up on people.
- She has a radar, and when a survivor triggers a trap she gets location reveal for a while, which the survivor can't block. And when a survivor get a claw trap, she gets location reveal for a long time.
- She doesn't need to manually retrieve traps (unlike Trapper).
- She can drop traps while moving, so it useful to do in chase (unlike Trapper).
- Her trap range is decently large (unlike Trapper), which means that if she drops traps near generators, the survivors can't just step around them.
- She gets a stacking haste buff from her traps, which is way better than the mostly useless haste buff Trapper gets when he sets a trap.
1 and 6 fall under just having status effects as part of her power, I'd say. Not that they're IRRELEVANT, but they're still part of drones' functionality. The rest is also just the details of how drones do their basic function of spotting and eventually injuring you. I won't argue that she doesn't have all those things as part of her drones, though, but I think you could reasonably argue Trapper is just an incomplete killer who hasn't been designed to account for his intrinsic weaknesses in the way someone like Skerchant has been. She definitely has a smoother way of trapping, but I wouldn't call it a lot more stuff than Trapper. She also needs to scan you three times to get the injury, whereas Trapper only needs to get you once— and if he's close, that one trap will often be a complete down. He can also actually shut down a loop. Skull Merchant doesn't have MORE stuff, just a smoother way of using her one thing.

Arguably those hits are considered undeserved too.
But people tolerate it because that’s his entire power. And his traps have extremely limited value during chases, if the survivors are in an area with 0 set traps.
Meanwhile, Skull Merchant has a bunch of other stuff besides traps that can injure, and she can drop traps while moving, which means they have a lot of value during chases.
What 'other stuff' does Skull Merchant really have? She has drones, which are traps that reveal your location to her, and eventually injure you. That's kind of it. Sure, there's some small status effects in the kit but not really anything that goes beyond "Her traps put you in danger."

I don’t play SM so I have no real input on performance, I don’t feel like it’s my place. I’m just saying as someone that mostly plays survivor it doesn’t seem that complicated to understand counterplay duck walk, don’t move during alarm, and try to dodge drone in chase. Go into injured but not downed unless the drone is powered up on you if you got got, also mend from drone attack when you can. To me it does not seem that complicated to understand counterplay. If someone doesn’t take the time to read because they play solo, or people are grouping and not sharing the information they know it seems like a game knowledge issue, and not a “this killer is too complicated issue” they’ve got fog whispers that can spread this information.
That's still not the point. It is more complicated than it was, when one of the stated goals for the rework is to make the power more intuitive to understand. They are adding a bunch of different layers that can add a different point of confusion for new players. Do I think it would be that hard to understand as a long time player? No. I understand it. But new players will have no IDEA what anything is. All of that is way more complicated than "Don't get scanned by the drone." And you can't really blame them for being ignorant— Nobody just looks up what every killer does when they start the game, it's not a thing people do.
But people will look at a skull that shines a light around and say "Oh, I probably shouldn't let that see me." People won't go "Oh, that might start flying at me and tackle me, oh, I have a trap on me I need to take off, I'm being chased and now have to juke a delayed-blast projectile that relies on me having this weird thing that drone put on me." That's way more to figure out.
Edit, because I forgot about the Global Detection power:That's also another random layer of stuff survivors just, have to guess at? They suddenly have an eye on their screen. They probably won't even know they've been detected by it, just that it… Happened. Suddenly the killer goes over to them. Maybe. How are they supposed to know how to crouch or stand still? They're not gonna, probably not even if the indicator is colored. It's all a bunch of different places new survivors can fail to understand, compared to "Drones can scan you if you don't stand still or crouch while they look in your direction. Don't let them do that."
-
@HeroLives said:
ya know I read through it and it does not seem that hard to understand what to do as survivor.
I don't necessarily think it is that hard to understand, but it is objectively more complex, and looking at it from a new survivor's perspective, all the things that you have to do against the current proposal are far less intuitive than "Just don't get scanned by the drones." If the intent is to make it more intuitive, they have failed and made it worse. If the drones are weak enough that knowing the counterplay isn't necessary anyway, then that's not actually a good thing.
-
This is no better than the last draft because the intention is still bad. It still makes no attempt to actually preserve her identity, and it's still wildly less intuitive than her first rework. It also still wouldn't be fun to play against, and I doubt it'd be all that fun to play. Removing claw traps manually means there is absolutely zero value to using drones outside of loops, so we're back to set at loop>M1 if they leave, hit w/ power if they don't as a gameplay loop, a gameplay loop everyone despises. The global detection still makes no sense, too! Why is it a part of the power? How is that supposed to be intuitive? The old design of "drones that can detect and eventually injure you if they detect you enough" is intrinsically more intuitive than just having a weird map-wide automatic uninteractive reveal system glued onto a weird two special-attack system.

I'd make it "when a survivor is invigorated, they will be exposed for 5 seconds" or something like that, because I think removing haste with purple crowd will outright cancel/remove invigorate buff
I wasn't sure if "invigorated" was counted as its own status or not. I think it is, but if it's not it would have to be something more like this— Whatever makes the concept work, I guess.

Another potential problem is that a spider can only really be so interesting as a character and as a killer. We have various killers that fill the niche of animals that don't really have a higher element of sadism, so doing that again might just not be compelling to the devs. And, making the spider human-like in thought process might sort of defeat the point. Trying to make it "Intelligent in a way that isn't comprehensible to humans" is more workable, but not that much more interesting when it's also supposed to just be a bug that kills to survive and eat. This is sort of the problem Warhammer 40,000 runs into with the Tyranid hivemind. Tyranids straight up do not have lore.

I think it's something that didn't really take away chase potential in 2v8, and I feel it's use in 1v4 wouldnt be so problematic with all the anti loop and hitting through pallets we have atm. and m1 killers have plenty anti pallet perks too, maybe it'd force people away from the current gen slowdown stacking more.
If anything it might give survivors the fighting chance they need for the likes of solo queue, like someone throwing shack down really early etc.Forcing bad killers to run anti-pallet perks instead of gen slowdown makes them way worse, those killers don't CHOOSE to run slowdown. They are literally nonfunctional when it comes to contesting with survivor resources. You'd really only ensure only high tiers get played this way.

Irellevant point. Dracula never had that weakness. It only dulls his power. Good attempt though!
It's not irrelevant— Vampires dying in the sunlight is a consistent, recognizable part of vampires as an idea. However, it's not immutable. We can still recognize something is a vampire even if it is not, to the letter, the same as the common criteria, so long as it embodies the most important parts of the concept. The Blight is not a one-to-one werewolf, but carries over the transformation, the killing of humans for sustenance, the degradation and loss of humanity. He carries over the hunched over, almost-but-not quadrupedal stance, and makes many allusions to THE movie that defines our concept of werewolves. He carries over everything but X weakness, Y limitation, just like many takes on vampires— Including, as you point out, Castlevania's Dracula.

We’re not gonna make any progress here. He is nowhere near a Werwolf. He isn’t affected by the moon. He isn’t weak to silver. He doesn’t look like one in any way. He ISNT quadrupedal (not even close)
He is his own unique character.
And Dracula doesn't die instantly on Coldwind Farm. I guess he's not a vampire.

Huntress would not turn in a dog lmao. It would be a Bipedal Werewolf. A Wolf and Werewolf are two ENTIRELY different things. It wouldn’t be convoluted at all either. It’s very simple.
Blight has no similarities at all I’m not sure if you are looking at Blight or maybe your thinking of Draculas wolf form.
Blight doesn’t resemble a Werewolf in any way at all and the examples you provided to substantiate your claim all don’t make any sense at all.
He doesn’t Move, Look, act, behave, resemble, or represent a Werewolf in any way. He is a mad scientist who went insane after taking his own compound and honestly comparing him to a Werewolf undermines his character very heavily and is insulting to his design. He is his own very unique and dope entity that doesn’t resemble anything else.
I feel like you're really oversimplifying the idea of a werewolf. Blight is a man who is otherwise intelligent, but is reduced to sprinting around like a reckless animal with a stance that is nearly quadrupedal. He very intentionally plays on the same ideas as werewolves, he is a human deprived of his dignity and rationality by an animalistic pursuit of sustenance— In his case, the pustula serum rather than flesh, but that's just one of the ways BHVR has made him a werewolf without him being a direct 1:1 cartoon character werewolf, a reinterpretation of the concept rather than a dry, beat-by-beat replay of the idea. They do this with Oni, who is a take on vampires as a bloodsucking noble, the Plague, who is a divinely ordained, wrapped walking corpse that's an interesting take on mummies in horror. Blight's no different.

Huntress being a Werewolf is literally at least 5x less complicated than Vecna and Dracula. It’s a Huntress? 2 minutes into the match is it still a Huntress? No? Oh so it’s a werewolf. Meanwhile Vecna has Flight of the damned, dispelling sphere, fly and mage hand. Chests the you roll a dice on that have interloper boots, interloper gauntlets, the hand of Vecna, the eye of Vecna, all of which do very confusing and niche things to counter his abilities in small ways.
When I say there is no good argument I mean for its complexity. It’s not even close to overly complex.
And no, no matter how hard you reach Blight is nowhere near a Werewolf. Doesn’t look like one, doesn’t act like one, doesn’t move like one and isn’t one. No real case can be made for that. Zero similarities.
It's a hypothetically less complex power but it is MUCH more convoluted. "Yeah, this killer sometimes turns into a dog." "Why?" "I don't know." Vecna and Dracula can do a lot, but you explain "This guy casts a few spells, and this guy turns into animals" and that makes a lot more sense than "Huntress is sometimes not Huntress, but instead Huntress that turns into a dog."
Also, Blight only fails on one level— He is not LITERALLY a wolf. If that is your SOLE point, sure, if your only qualifier is "turns into an actual dog", Then he's not. But he is in every way meant to BE a werewolf.
-
Rebuilding pallets is an idea I don't think they can balance well. Even the ability to rebuild ONE means a survivor can ensure their team gets twice as much value out of something like shack pallet— And EVERYONE would wind up taking it. Let alone a version that let them rebuild multiple pallets. Killer is ALREADY reliant on either killing someone excessively early or shredding resources.
And, again, this is even more of an issue for weaker killers, who have a harder time forcing pallets or catching up after pallet drops. It works in 2v8 just because it's such a different mode, it would RUIN 1v4.

Who cares if new people are confused? You don’t think a new person is confused about Vecnas 45 abilities and 5 magical items with very niche counters? Or Dracula’s turning into a bat and a Wolf? Give me a break. This would be way less confusing than that.
She would be a 110% ranged killer that transforms into a Bodark and can’t change back. Meaning if you want to play a ranged killer you wouldn’t pick that version of her because you would lose you ranged ability when you transform. You could put it on a random timer so survivors wouldn’t know exactly if it was the Bodark or not until she transforms. And she would stay transformed permanently.
This is in fact a great idea and awesome killer concept that has a small amount of deception involved. There is literally no argument to stand on for it to not be a killer. We don’t have a werewolf killer, Blight isn’t even close and we should have one. Simple.
A)Behaviour cares. DbD is already a very uninviting game for new players, they don't want to make that worse. The experience of learning a game is way more important than you seem to realize. Also, it really wouldn't be— Dracula and Vecna have powers with a lot going on, but that's something that you can reasonably learn through playing against them. How is a new player supposed to learn "Yeah, we put this killer in the game twice for some reason, and she transforms some of the time just because"?
B)I feel like if we were to get a second werewolf killer, based around transforming during the match, you'd want that to be a central mechanic. If not, it should just be an intro animation. Nothing more. No reason to make her a ranged character for a random amount of time.
C)There are multiple arguments against it and that line makes me wonder if I'm getting baited or something.
D)Blight's already a werewolf and insisting he isn't doesn't make him stop being the werewolf killer.

The Werewolf would only “Mimic” Huntress because it IS her. People would not think they are hacking lmao, they would look it up.
Even if they did think it was cheats should we throw away a great idea just because baby players would be slightly confused?
Is it really a great idea if it would mainly cause confusion among players and be a mere gimmick otherwise? Huntress doesn't need to turn into a literal animal to be a valid take on the concept.
Also, even ignoring that, is your suggestion that the killer would start the match as the Huntress as a powerless 115% killer, or as the 110% ranged killer? The former remains a gimmick, the latter removes the need for regular Huntress to exist at all.

Blight isn’t even close to a Werewolf. Literally in no way can be compared to a Werewolf genuinely lmao😂
The Blight's name is Talbot Grimes, and the main character of The Wolf Man— you know, the man who is a wolf— is named Larry Talbot. He is given a silver cane to protect himself from the wolf man that is secretly him, hence why Blight uses a cane. Blight has a nigh-quadrupedal stance during a rush, his entire power is built on the idea that he was a once normal man now transformed into a beast, and his original teaser is very obviously a play on werewolf transformations seen in movies, so much so people straight up thought he would be a werewolf. Sure, Blight also incorporates themes from The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but he is ABSOLUTELY Behaviour's take on a werewolf.
-
The game already has a dedicated monstrous werewolf. It's the Blight, who in every way except actually being a dog is an allusion to Universal's The Wolf Man, from 1941. His power is more or less the exact running-on-all-fours ability you describe too.
-
Ignoring the phobia bit, what would a spider killer do that they could actually achieve? Crawling on walls would probably be too much for the engine, apparently BHVR hates making trap killers as we can see from the Skerchant removal.

So a killer that just had passive slowdown and an aura read was good design? Im sorry but as an og player the only good thing about the old power was it was thematic but that aside a power thats just bbq and sadakos phasing is not something to brag about.
Thematically he was awesome, seeing people get chased by an invisible force and lifted in the air and get hooked was creepy af, that aspect should be brought back imo. But the power was just bad.
Is there any reason you think aura reading is 'bad design'? Granted, I agree that the more or less completely passive, oppressive slowdown part wasn't good. That's one of the things I'd change— Again, I'm not saying he didn't need a rework.

I'm not saying he didn't need SOMETHING of a rework, but a complete overhaul was a bad idea.
Anyway first you'd have to undo making the dream transition nerf that made it take six seconds for survivors to fall asleep. After that, you could give him mechanics like more lunge range or a shorter dream transition for each sleeping survivor. We don't know what would have been good because they didn't even try.

Bro thinks the original freddy rework was bad? The power they ended up with wasn't good sure but OG Freddy was literally the worst power ever designed
Freddy's original power could have been gotten to a good state if they actually tried. But they didn't, and replaced him with a killer that's way less interesting in nearly every way. Did you know he was actually heavily nerfed shortly after release? Yeah, they didn't rework him because his power was 'unsalvageable' or 'the worst power ever designed'. They reworked him because they freaked out and had no idea what they were doing.
Kinda like they're doing now.
-
Somehow, worse than the original Freddy rework. At least that introduced his teleport, which was genuinely fitting to his character— It had at least one positive.
This is just infuriating. BHVR has shown that they have no interest in powers that aren't as generically appealing and homogenized as they can justify— Turning one of DbD's three trap killers into another projectile killer with no utility is an awful decision made with blatant disrespect for existing fans of her design. Why are we even releasing new killers at this point if they're all going to be another projectile or dash killer? Why are we getting rid of existing killers with unique functions in favor of Another Projectile?
-
The Skull Merchant rework is awful. It makes no real efforts to preserve what existing Skull Merchant players like about the killer's playstyle, in favor of going for broad appeal by way of homogenization. Making her another basic special attack, projectile killer has NOTHING in common with her existing, unique playstyle. Even IF most of the community prefers this design, that is not valuable— Existing players of Skull Merchant such as Pixel Bush lose their character ENTIRELY for something that does not interest them.
Also, if the idea is to make her feel more tonally consistent, how does THAT translate to her using her expensive, fragile drones as battering rams? That's ridiculous. A pursuer who tracks and renders you weak before actually going for an attack is fitting to the horror genre, but bumper car drones is not.
-
Breakable walls are completely pointless. There's essentially no reason for them to exist other than being a thing that happens in Slasher movies. I can't even think of a reason to keep them around or a way to make them interesting.
-
The point of new Knock Out is, really, to get rid of Knock Out. I think this is a shame, especially because I see KO as one of Bubba's more thematic perks, likely his most thematic. It plays into how the cast of the movie keeps trying to go further into the Sawyer's home to save their friends, running into danger because they lack necessary information.
(BBQ USED to have some thematic relevance, when it had a BP bonus to represent eating survivors after the trial, but now it's simply an aura reading perk and not one that fits. Bubba is really at an advantage because TCM takes place in HIS home, because survivors are out of place. Why would he know about people who are far away to go all the way out of his territory for them?)
KO could have been fine if it was just changed to not only work against SoloQ players. Instead BHVR's just sort of jumped the gun and gotten rid of the perk entirely, and replaced it with nothing.
-
I think that, in his current framework, Freddy can never really be INTERESTING. He's fine, and he's better than before, I do appreciate that— There's just no good way to work with Freddy now. I want a return to his original power design, so that can be expanded on, but I see why it doesn't happen: it'd run into the same problem as reworking him originally did. Laying absolute waste to a power is just a bad idea.
Taking him as he is now, he's… Still probably BAD, but he's not as bad as before. I guess. I don't know what they can really do about it, you know?
-
Not only would the workload of adding two killers be utterly unapproachable, it's also unnecessary. William Afton is the core villain of the series and also has the most compelling potential for a power, as well as having a seamless way to enter the fog through UCN. No other character really comes close to his potential and thematic relevance.
Two MAPS, though— I think they'd be part of the same realm but it's not impossible at all. After all, every FNaF location bar Sister Location and the Steel Wool games use the same checkered floors and sorta grungy walls, even if it's dialed up in Fazbear's Fright. I think not only could we get two maps, I'd quite like that, and if I was feeling greedy I'd say I'd like to see all three of the original trilogy's maps put in. If nothing else, I'm confident we get FF, and could see a second map happening though I don't necessarily expect that.

The problem with a verticality power is largely map dependence. It would likely rely heavily on getting open maps, becoming even more hobbled than Blight or Billy on indoor maps, and depending on the implementation, would likely be far too strong on the maps it's good for. This is also assuming it's based on flight; something like a grappling hook would suffer even more, let alone merely climbing.
Otherwise, it would also struggle to be engaging without being horribly fickle to tune, in the interest of keeping it from invalidating loops as well as trivializing map traversal and thereby dominating the macro game without any real effort.

Im pretty sure they dont allude to what you think they do, solely from the fact that they are an alien species and their reproductive cycle is based on various kinds of insects and parasites that do exist in the real world. In fact, the carapace design of the Xenomorph is quite literally based on the carapace of bugs, just a bit more oriental.
I think the only issue with this is that it would take a lot of time and resources to implement, as well as to upkeep it as bugs/glitches are introduced, and I dont think BHVR is going to do that. On top of that, it's also hard to have hooks respawn if a Survivor is dead on it… I think it would have to go away after awhile.
This being said, I do actually hope BHVR implements more stuff like this, since I think they make DBD feel more alive and they make each Killer have their own unique identity. And atm, I think DBD needs more of that, since it feels like they tried to do it in some areas but then gave up in other areas.
No, the xenomorph is definitely supposed to represent what I think it does. I guess it's awkward to explain around this site more than likely filtering that kind of stuff, but the facehugger's design and movements, as well as the fact it forcefully implants offspring into a person, clearly allude to it. Even if it might take inspiration from real insects, it would be taking those inspirations to strengthen the allusion.

Clown "plays" with his victims and sucks their severed fingers
Even if you read that as sexual— Which is not solidly supported by the text as much as Clown being merely sadistic— it's far less explicit in every way. The facehugger and xenomorph both intentionally have sexual, phallic designs.
-
The problem with putting facehuggers in the game is that they're explicit in a very different way than the rest of the game. The game is fine depicting violence, of course, but facehuggers and Alien as a whole allude to sexual subject matter that's extremely sensitive, especially to put into DbD now. You can argue that's a reason not to put Alien in the game at all, but the design of the Xenomorph alone is at least more subtle. It would be cool, but ultimately would isolate some people from the game, and that's just not something that should be done.
Plus, mechanically, they seem a little… Hard to implement? At least not without them being totally over- or under-tuned. One of those mechanics that could never be good without being too good.

I'm not sure why you expected any different.
No rework has fully changed a killers power besides SM because she's a mess.
This is a really funny thing to say about this killer in particular. No offense, of course, but… You know.
-
I'd specifically go for Mystery Incorporated's characters as it fits DbD's tone the best. From there, I'm probably taking Shaggy and Hot Dog Water, and then as a killer I'd take the Freak of Crystal Cove.
-
I don't even strictly blame the devs, on some level—I mean, could you imagine trying to satiate the animals that play this game? I could never. But in trying to satisfy the petulant playerbase, they make the game severely worse so often. I don't think new killers being bad detracts from the labor of love aspect, I'd rather they made interesting but bad characters instead of Blight 5. But they have this awful habit of garroting or just not supporting any interesting things they implement, shooting them in the head because of whining. They also just, don't update some killers at all, and don't give any cosmetics to some characters like Gabriel. There is love in this game, but it's smothered.
-
I've found Wraith plays the mode the best. He can play around any other killer pretty well—picking off survivors injured by long hatchet shots or Blight's rushes or Slinger, he can go ensure a trapped survivor goes down when Trapper might not get to, he can get injuries for Nurse to immediately blink over to and capitalize on, and him being invisible sort of keeps survivors from looking around for Trapper properly, because they've got to be looking for the high-speed invisible man. Blight is similarly good in a few ways, especially with the shadow class, I think.

Wesker is mid at best. His grab startup is pretty immense, his routing is super linear without advanced tech that's almost inaccessible to console players, his macro presence is okay. He's just FINE, at best?

Because the intent is to use their stealth power for stealth…
In Pig's particular case though, she needs to slow herself down pretty significantly to get the stealth half, when the others either don't or they get FASTER, in Wraith's case. Giving her four meters more to get close sorta compensates the fact her stealth power makes her less mobile.

I am and always will be an unironic pebble advocate. Especially because it plays into a more stealthy playstyle like Distortion otherwise would, even if it isn't so much enabling it as it is giving you a new option through that playstyle. Otherwise, Plot Twist is good.

I hope they don't change a thing from before her being nerfed, and they make the DC penalty harsher. If we can let Spirit continue to exist, Skull Merchant is fine.
