Admittedly the title is unfair— This might be a case of things getting away from the devs somehow, them not realizing how overly complex the power is shaping up to be. But the point stands— Skull Merchant's current power is not inherently too busy. It has too many small effects, but those can reasonably be sanded down. The reworks proposed are fundamentally busy, with a global detection power tha25 comments 551 views last activity

I think that right now, Redhead's Pinky Finger is a dead concept. It can't be strong without being annoying, it can't not be annoying without being useless. It's also simply not interesting to use. I think that the addition of the Afterpiece Antidote could be used to give Pinky Finger a new sort of gimmick while still keeping the Exposed status as part of its function. My proposal would be to cha3 comments 81 views last activity

I really do enjoy the Unknown, everything they can do is great… But they feel ineffective, powerless at times. It feels like the UVX projectile is unusable at many tiles, and at tiles where it's only usable because of ricochet, then it's entirely luck-based as the bounce physics are unreliable when applied to anything but a straight, flat wall. Beyond that, it feels like weakness is cleansed SO25 comments 602 views last activity

Whenever people talk about a third RE chapter—I should clarify, this discussion isn't meant to be about whether a 3rd RE chapter should or shouldn't happen—they always bring up Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil 8. …Why? What about her is so compelling? I understand she was big in the marketing and she's popular, but she wasn't actually that important to the plot or gameplay of Village, nor woul39 comments 1,132 views last activity

Genuine question, because I'm not sure her power functions. I can teleport around thirty times, focusing down one survivor holding a tape which should passively build condemnation, and nothing happens. It's possible I just don't even know how the killer works anymore after at least two full reworks, I'll admit, but it feels like something should be happening. Is she bugged, is she just bad, d110 comments 2,195 views last activity

Have you ever played a round of SoloQ that is genuinely disheartening? To set the stage, we were on Dead Dawg Saloon, and the killer was a Knight. Now, this should immediately prompt any cunning survivor to discern which generators might pose a problem of potential 3 gen situations, or even just two generators that would be easy to defend at the same time. My teammates not only does the generat11 comments 261 views last activity

If I recall—though I doubt my memory is all-encompassing—nothing's been said about this pretty overtly problematic combination. Surely they don't mean for this to be kept in the game, not if things like hug tech—which increase killer skill ceilings without, so far as I know, being problematic—are getting removed. Surely the no-solution instant out combo that has literally no risk is getting the9 comments 341 views last activity

For two or so years in a row, we have seen BHVR place their own, original chapters in the position of the vaunted Anniversary release window, with the Roots of Dread and End Transmission chapters. These chapters both featured rather unique killers with macro-focused powers and non-humanoid forms, however, these killers have become rather unpopular, possibly due to many small frustrations in the k40 comments 711 views last activity

Deathslinger's nerfs came from a bad place. Not all of them were bad--the second of recovery after dropping ADS is good. However, Deathslinger's entire design was fundamentally misunderstood by both the developers and the playerbase at large, leading to the incorrect notion that his main point of counterplay was ever meant to be dodging the shot on reaction. This is, in fact, a point of counterpl0 comments 161 views last activity

It's often said that Skull Merchant needs to be deleted or remade from the ground-up, no similarities to her current power. This is wrong, of course, the power genuinely just needs a little more fine tuning, if even that. People are blinded, really, by not liking her visual design, or her lore, or just her state on release. Sure, her power on release wasn't good, I won't argue that, but most peop36 comments 1,101 views last activity

These are two killers I adore that just feel awful sometimes. Knight's issues are easier to solve, as he has three add-ons that can solve his main problems--Knight, at base, sets guards up too slowly to feasibly create longer paths and catch survivors, and when his guards DO start to chase survivors, they're not likely to be very valuable. As such, he is practically required to run Call to Arms,11 comments 91 views last activity

Aside from better grass, of course. I always find it interesting how there are so many different directions I've seen Trapper taken in possible reworks, ranging from small changes like undetectable at trial start, or covering traps in map-appropriate camouflage, to more drastic things like emphasizing his connection with the Entity in various ways as a sort of power up, or giving him entirely ne49 comments 633 views last activity

And, no, Freddy is not a valid counterpoint. Freddy, at the very least, has elements of a good adaptation, his Dream Transposition is thematically great and even Dream Snares and Pallets represent the idea of Freddy controlling the fabric of the dream world's reality--if in a lackluster manner. Not to mention that his original power was so evocative and faithful to the character some would argue31 comments 1,342 views last activity

I have no intentions of denying camping and tunneling are obnoxious. They are, absolutely. But basekit BT doesn't really do anything about that, if you ask me. In fact it makes those strategies more of a problem. The problem with giving survivors no-strings-attached endurance after an unhook is that it doesn't stop tunneling, it can only force nice killers to do it. If a survivor body-blocks f18 comments 903 views last activity

I've noticed recently that I've begun to run the same five or six perks on all of my killers, most prominently No Way Out, Grim Embrace, and Deadlock. Three objective blocking perks, and then I'll run, say, Sloppy Butcher on M1 killers(not for long), Infectious Fright and Monitor on most others, occasionally Hex:Plaything. I feel an intense sense of dread when I bother looking at any other perks,32 comments 742 views last activity

It's not really a bold, iconoclastic opinion to say the Pig changes look kinda bad. Even if I appreciate the direction of making her less reliant on scumming RBT kills, the buffs to her crouch are only okay and the Ambush buff is like putting frosting on raw dough. Ambush isn't a worthwhile mechanic as it is, even if you make it a little longer and shave some cooldown off. It's still a terrible c4 comments 151 views last activity
