Good visual and audio design but gameplay is kinda eh due to how clunky Shred is.
-
I only own three of these six, and only one of the remaining three I've played a bit with.

I hate the spacebar mashing in more ways than one, since I suffer from carpal tunnel and mashing a button rapidly literally HURTS.

Guys, I already finished the Rift a couple days ago, it's so easy.
On a side not I am now short 70$ /s
But seriously, the Rift is so predatory it isn't even funny. It takes 800 XP for 1 shard, and you get hardcapped at around 500 XP per match. If there wasn't a hard cap and you could get 1 shard per match it would be so much better.if you could get 1 tier per 10 matches, but the devs want to wring us dry.
Congratulations for being the sort of player most gaming developers would love to have.
As for the Rift. If it wasn't meant to squeeze anyone attempting to complete it dry, Behavior wouldn't have introduced a way for players to buy tiers for real money. That decision alone shows exactly what their intention was.
-
I don't understand this obsession (heh, get it?) of nerfing a perk that has so many different counters that also, on top of everything else, promotes killers not playing in a way that survivors dislike.
-
The cleanse totems one.
-
13th, two weeks from the release of the Rift.
-
The only reason they're locked down and time-gated is because Behavior's worried that people might breeze through all challenges and complete the Rift too fast. Players need to suffer some frustration if they're to open their wallets and buy tiers, afterall.
-
They're just cosmetics. Once unlocked, a charm can be equipped on ANY character, killer or survivor.
-
In the 16-20 ranks, matchmaking takes extra long due to the game trying to match you with other low-rankers but once you get past that, things should speed up.
-
Why not? Wouldn't hurt anyone.

Yeah about 20 minutes
There's your answer.
-
Not really, tbh. Unless you feel like the character is worth the investment (or you want a few achievements), its just a waste of time.
-
The longer you wait in a queue, the wider the matchmaking choose who to pit you against. You must have been in queue for quite some time before you got matched, I hope?
-
No. And if it ever was implemented, I'd turn it off. I don't wanna have to listen to some child playing DbD in the apartment kitchen while their mother is yelling at them for not helping, plus dogs barking and babies crying or whatever in the background.

We're getting another dev update ready. Given everything that happened recently, there's been more than a few wrenches thrown in the plans. The update being postponed delayed all cosmetic releases, for example. I'll make sure to get the roadmap updated as soon as possible.
Oh no, not the cosmetics!
-
Initiatives? Like, for ranking up?
Those are only 3+ years too late.
-
No.

Is there something I hate, is farming. Be it 2x or 3x or during events. I am gonna play just as I normally play.

Thing is while I main her, I have to say when people are getting Spirit just constantly at red ranks and almost nobody is having a good time against her there may be a problem. People don't just start mass using one killer for no reason more people are realizing just how good she is and I feel like the things that need changes are add-ons to fix her personally.
If more killers were made to be good at Red ranks, there would be so much diversity up there. Its basically the same 3 killers on a loop, with a chance of getting one from another small pool that sorta works well.
I'd love to see the Red Ranks be as diverse as the green-purple ranks.

I queued for 27 minutes today for a game. Needless to say I didn't do 6 - 7 games in an hour
I generally stop queuing and just play another game if it takes 20+ minutes to find a game. I still have barely any killer related challenged done because of this.

Majority or vocal minority?
And even if it is the majority... I dont think it's hard to see who makes up a majority of the playerbase im this 4v1 game
Doesn't matter which, in the end.

Making it not fun could decrease revenue, though. If players get burnt out on the game trying to complete the Rift, they're not going to buy more tiers or future Battlepasses or future DLC... they're going to quit playing. I'm already starting to feel that and I'm only at tier 21. It's over a week before new challenges will be posted to freshen up the gameplay, again. That's pretty poorly thought out.
Considering I've already seen youtubers fork out 70 euro to buy the entire ######### Rift already, it'd be a net-negative to making it fun now. There's more profit in fishing for whales than catering to dolphins.
-
@TragicSolitude said:
And with ten shards to complete one tier on the Rift? It's not. I've been playing for over 5 1/2 hours today, killer matches with about 500 XP per match, and I haven't finished a single tier on the Rift. They did not design this to be fun.
Making it fun doesn't increase revenue, sadly. How else are they supposed to tempt people into buying the last tiers they need to complete the Rift?

That's lag compensation in a nutshell.

Even on the first tome challenges, players have been depipping and deranking just to get ONE chest done, let alone three in the same trial using Plunderer's Instinct. (which I did by some fluke).
I would be interested in unlocking the Killer ones as I dont play Killer, so I can gather the lore items. Whats a fair item to pay to unlock the tome period?
I had to resort to a SWF to beat the 3 chests in a trial challenge. Felt so dirty -_-
-
Nerfing the top killers is the fast way to please the majority of the playerbase.
Personally, I only believe Prayer Beads are an issue with Spirit. That's it. I like playing against them.

O yea also if 2 people get into struggle during the match you lose.
If I catch and camp one into struggle you fail
Almost like you're not allowed to hook anyone even once until the EGC starts.. Fun.

They don't have a good track record and until they start cleaning up, they're only digging themselves further down.

Oh I see. So when I complete level 1, I still have to wait two weeks until the next level opens, but it’ll take 65 days In total to unlock and complete every level?
It started counting from the first day of the Rift, so the next Tome will unlock the 13th of November.

Ok gotcha. So once I complete one level, the next will open up?
Nope. Tomes unlock 2 weeks after each-other.

Or you could just take a key and not waste a perk slot.
That's also an option.
-
Currently been waiting for 18+ minutes for a killer game here in Sweden.
Might just give up soon tbh. 70-80 hours to beat the Rift, my ass.
EDIT: I gave up at 22 minutes. Seriously not worth it.

Yeah I'll be honest, through today as a rank 9 solo survivor, I was being pitted against rank 19 Huntresses that couldn't land a hatchet all match.
This was after a 2-3 min queue. It really isn't fun for either of us.
That Huntress probably had the displeasure of waiting in her own queue for 10+ minutes for that to happen.
-
-1 pip, I think. Plus losing all points you had, any item you held and any offering you used.

Why Huntress? No complains about her and she's very inconsistent due to the map design.
Why Huntress? Why not Huntress? Rather than improving the weakest killers in the game, Behavior's method of balance is to nerf anything in the top section of any tier list.
Of course Spirit is going to "over-perform" when there's so few viable killers in the top ranks. It there was more variety up there, things would be different.

Not really, it was more a nerf to Pharmacy more than anything. The green medkit got ######### on so now it can only do 1 full heal instead of potentially 2 (even more if you applied addons). This new medkit is more worthless than a purple or a yellow one, and no, healing yourself faster is not something that I consider a "buff". With the decrease in charges and the efficiency completely removed, there's nothing to compensate, it's a downright awful change.
To each their own, then. I personally see it as a buff.

She’s going to be changed eventually. May as well accept it. She gets spammed for a reason.

She's gonna get Legion'd, then Hillbilly gonna get Legion'd, then Huntress gonna get Legion'd..
There's no stopping this train.
-
Increased chance for rarer items on Plunderer's Instinct means that you'll end up having easier game due to finding keys. Its a niche perk that can literally decide if you survive or not. It requires no buffs.
If you want add-ons on items you find, bring Ace in the Hole.
Thanks to the recent buff to medkits, the guaranteed Medkit you get via Pharmacy has made the perk even better. So it really doesn't require a buff since it indirectly got one.
-
The problem really is prayer beads, I think. If you can hear the wooshing, she's far less of a problem.

Not everyone can play 6-7 games every day. When I saw that one tier also costs 100 auric cells I was kinda pissed.
Behavior's aware that the grind is real, that's why they introduced a way for players to buy their way to success. Imagine designing something new with customers in focus.
-
Soon™
-
If the challenge require me to throw a game to beat it, then I'll do so.
The frustration that'll come from all of this is just another example of Behavior not having a clue.
-
I am about halfway. That said, I've not had the time (or really the will) to play too much.

It was so people don't automatically finish the entire tome set and have nothing to use towards the next Rift. (That, and they'd have nothing to do afterwards until a completely new tome set is released.)
If you completed every tome than you'd have way more Rift Fragments than you'd need to complete The Rift... also, its to give them time to create more lore bits if they haven't already.
Didn't people do the math on that and even if you completed all challenges, you'd still be missing a good 340-ish Fragments?
-
For some reason, Behavior decided to put time-locks on each tome after the first one.
-
You underestimate how much 7% increased movement speed is.

That isn't the reason why though, the weapon in her $10 outfit has a different sound as well. It probably cost $15 because it's completely black, making her much harder to see on a number of maps.
Doubt it, tbh.
