Playing at rank reset isn't that fun though. Everyone goes EXTREME HARDMODE ENGAGED and run their best ######### to get down the ranks as fast as possible. Makes for a horrid experience both as survivor and killer.

You might feel like she is fine which is perfectly fine, but the devs have data that she is actually overperforming
We honestly don't know how they gather their data.
Do DCs count as kills?
If someone DCs and the Spirit kills the remaining three survivors, do they count that as a 4K or 3K?
What happens if three DCs and one get sacrificed? Is that a 4K or 1K?
-
This'd not solve anything. If you're going to force a killer to only play against SWFs then you'd need to introduce a way for killers to exclude ALL SWFs as well. Otherwise its a double-standard.
-
Its NERF or NOTHING!
-
A lot of issues with Hex perks would be fixed if the developers actually made the totems NOT SPAWN NEXT TO THE GENERATORS IN PLAIN SIGHT!
-
I know I won't be able to reach tier 70 with how much I play currently, so I've stopped caring. Casuals like me weren't made to beat it anyway.
-
Nerf everyone for consistency. Its only fair, right?

That would be true if it wasn't intentionally designed not to be completed by the average player, despite being advertised and BHVR claiming as such.
The Auric cells purpose is to be bait, nothing more.
It can either be completed by casuals, or it can't be. It cannot be both.
Of course its bait but that's still there as a motivator. They're fishing. There's a reason why the gaming industry has reduced players to names of various marine animals, with the whale being the most sought after.
-
Burn a mori and hope someone DCs during loadtime, that'll count towards the challenge since you "killed everyone".
-
@[Deleted User] said:
Would be better off just removing the auric cells and omitting the tiers said auric cells are in.
People can complete the rift. Doesn't have much grinding. BHVR makes money. Everyone's happy.
The addition of the auric cells has done nothing but provide filler for the actual rewards (auric cells are like a good 15 or 20 rift tiers at least) and increase the longevity of the grind.
The Auric Cell rewards are a huge motivator for someone who's normally not willing to spend money for stuff, though. The chance that they can get a shitload of goodies for free (essentially) if they play enough.

Cannot go wrong with some Ginger Ale.

Then they should atleast be honest with their statements. Claiming that something takes "an hour a day to finish" -MCote's words, for 70days, while it easily takes more than double what was claimed is simply scummy.
Its probably true that it takes "an hour per day" to finish but they're definitely thinking of IN-TRIAL time.. aka, excluding waiting in queues for games. For an hour of in-trial gameplay I guess you'll have to slap on another hour minimum depending on queue times.
-
That's what "by any means" mean. Even 4 DCs count.

Money is all they care in the end, i highly doubt they’ll reduce the grind.
Precisely. If you're a person capable of playing 3-6 hours per day, you'll beat the Rift no problem. Behavior's just banking on those that play 1 or less hour per day to give in and open their wallets to buy tiers.
Game's lacking so much that we take for granted but at least we have yet another predatory battle pass.

All of them are awesome, thanks
Thanks. Some of them are my own but most are suggestions from various users here on the forum.
-
I'd have to say I am having fun occasionally.
-
Since this is a buff Clown thread (in a sense) I might as well drop a list of suggestions from an old Clown thread I made here;
- Minor exhaustion debuff part of base gas. Would require survivors to "take a breather", aka stop running away (thus letting the Clown close in faster) if they want exhaustion gone.
- Intoxication duration increases based upon time spent in the gas.
- Remove the grunting he makes when he vaults a window. It'd allow him so more freedom when it comes to playing mind-games.
- Reduced reload duration.
- Release clouds of gas while reloading.
- No slowdown while throwing.
- Increased intoxication duration (Eether 10 or 15 by default).
- Increased slow effect (Flask of Bleach by default).
- Generators inside gas automatically start regressing if there's no survivor working on them.
- More bottles, more fun.
- Exposure effect on survivors hit by a bottle (Redhead's Pinky Finger add-on by default)
- Extra potent effect for hitting a survivor directly, like stronger slow than normal or bigger gas area of effect.
- Survivors hit directly with a bottle get doused in the Tonic, making them leave a trail of gas for a few seconds.
- Survivors who're intoxicated cannot see the Red Stain.

Seriously ?
they already nerf instant heal and now keys need to be used for 10 sec ? killer main detected....
why don't remove all mori's , all instant-down add on, and barbecue & chili ?
Why is BBQ always mentioned in "X is OP" posts?
-
Considering how much hassle they've gone through to even get them working this well, I doubt they'd just disable them now. You're stuck with 'em, like everyone else.
-
Sweden. 10-15 minutes as Killer. Survivor queue is basically instant.

I fully expect this to become the new norm.
The sad truth of it all, isn't it?
-
Behavior's code is the technical equivalent of spaghetti. Whenever they update something, something else breaks horrendously.
-
Currently tier 11 with 3 challenges remaining in the Tome.
I've not been playing much. Lack of time and interest.
-
I had a game where I was trapped in my own traps the second I put them down.. which was weird, but otherwise I've had no bad experiences with Dedicated Servers.
-
Legion's sadly better than Clown. Waaay more slow-down potential than Clown. Clown needs help.
-
People realized that they can have killers nerfed by DCing, so now I guess they've found their next target.
-
The best buff for WGLF would be to make it easier to stack, that's kinda it. An utterly broken buff like seeing everyone for 10 seconds isn't necessary.
-
You should check out Not Otzdarva on youtube. He has some plenty educational gameplay with Trapper that might teach you a few tips and tricks.
-
It'd actually be dope but the developers don't like showing us statistics. At least not without screwing them up first by merging all platforms together and counting DCs as kills and such.
-
I rather have an Operation Health instead of yet another killer.

Which is really sad. Dbd has so much potential, imagine another leadership would be working for DbD, a leadership which is a hardcore gamer by themselves and cares about the community.. Just imagine where dbd could be.. It's sad, it really is.
No point in dwelling in the past. All we can do now is looking forward to all the new upcoming skins and other macrotransactions coming in the future.

They said they were looking into "closing the gap between solos and swf" but we still have no update on this and it feels like they aren't doing anything about this at all.
Even if they just made kindred basekit it would be a really good change. Why did they even decide not to do this anyway? They should have at least tested it on the ptb.
They also said they were looking into adding stuff like Rank Rewards but it has been 3+ years now.. I wouldn't hold my breath at this point. There's a lot of noise but little to not action.
-
With that lengthy cooldown it should trigger on any sort of down, not just from basic attacks.
-
Quickly whacking a survivor after you've put them on the hook should silence them as well.
Whoops, I misread. Seems you meant AS a survivor. Well.. that's either Calm Spirit or turning off volume, I guess.
-
Consoles in general are always behind as they're but an afterthought.

It's not an event. It's some special title screen with music and hooks and generators with pumpkins near them.
↑This.
The second the developers put the Serums inside their Battle Pass, it stopped being an "event".

@sunnyariane said:
Hello,
I think the Halloween Event this year Is not possible, What is your opinion?
I am only Group 28 and i Play a Lot. But the last Serum is in Group 55. I do not think I can do it until the event is over.
Do I have to buy groups in an event now?
Its too much grind... I play 4-6 hours daily but it is not impossible.
Sry for my Bad english... i hope you understand what i mean.
The Rift is still open for another 60-ish days. Should be plenty of time to unlock the remaining Serums.
The Halloween event is, ironically, not related to the Serums and Halloween skins.

At the very VERY least more prolonged coughing would be nice, making it much more difficult for survivors to juke.
Remove his vaulting grunt too! So he can actually mind-game at windows..

That would help out a lot as I do notice that Survivors panic when they're in the cloud and can lose direction but needing an add-on just to make that part of his power strong feels bad and forces him to be weaker in places he needs it.
Imagine if intoxicated survivors couldn't see the Red Stain, for example. There's so much various fun gimmicks the developers could introduce to help the Clown with his issues..
-
Haddonfield needs a revamp. Its one of the most problematic maps in the game.
-
Call me old-fashioned, but I'd probably pay to play a werewolf.
-
I'd love to see him buffed in some aspects. He's lacking too much.
-
@GrootDude said:
I agree with this, it is impossible to provide everyone a fun match anyway.
↑This.
Its the reason why I've disabled the post-game chat and why I don't allow random comments on my Steam profile. No matter how I play, it ain't gonna be the "right" way. No point in trying.
-
Think of the bloodpoint economy!
EDIT: I'd love to see a remake of the BP offerings.. so they're actually worthwhile to use. Right now, its basically only Gateus, Cakes, Puddings and Streamers that's worth using. The rest are just.. garbage.
-
I go for month long hiatus on occasion to help me cool down.
-
You'd have to look harder for more pointless cosmetics in games.
-
Remove the time-gating and unrealistic challenges made to serve as road-blocks for players gaining Rift Fragments too fast.

Was just a joke, no one in their right mind would spend 70$ for the Rift. But honestly, does BHVR need to wring us out more? The game costs 20$, all the DLC including cosmetic packs but excluding Charity Case costs $96.84 plus tax if you don't want to add more grinding for Iridescent Shards, the Rift costs $10, including all the cosmetics in the store, with over half of them being available solely for Auric Cells. If you want everything that effects gameplay unlocked from the start it will cost you about $116.84 without tax. This is a tad bit ridiculous, you could get 2 fully fledged AAA game instead of buying everything in DBD. It gets even worse, with the cosmetics in the store that are only available for Auric Cells it comes out to a whopping $993. JESUS. I got this number by converting every 100 Auric Cells into $1 and rounding accordingly, so you may get a slightly higher or lower number, but the fact that there are almost $1000 dollars worth of cosmetics that can only be bought with real money seems REALLY scummy and cash grabby.
Ah. I don't sarcasm very well.
They are, as the gaming industry's calling it, fishing for whales.
