Behavior have shown over and over again that they balance their game on the lower ranks, the ranks 10-20. Of course their matchmaking system would account for the lowest ranked member of a SWF so they can have an easier game.
You wouldn't want them to not have fun, would you?

It looks like wood to me, partly wood at least.

The funny part is that these killers aren't even fun because how garbage and boring they are.
@Cursed_hatchet It doesn't stop the developers to try making fun killers. Fun is a very subjective term and since it's widely known that Behavior have little to no knowledge of their own game.. I mean, I guess they're just looking at data points or something.
-
Because fun games are more important to me.
I guess its the same reason why survivors DC on their first down?

Thanks, figured so but I just wouldn't wanna be short if they change things right before release.
They won't change enough to make him good. They want him to be "FUN" afterall. FUN killers are never good killers.
-
The survivor side is more toxic because;
- More numerous. Higher chance of encountering a toxic player in every game in comparison to a killer.
- Gang mentality. 4v1 foster a gang mentality because its an "us vs them" scenario.
- Because its so easy to die as a survivor if the killer wants you dead right away, it harbors a lot of animosity towards killers in general who doesn't "follow the rules".
- SWFs combines the points above into a toxic mess.
-
More negatives to being fully infected, so you're more inclined to cleanse. That's the way to go.

Voting with my wallet. ######### ain't worth a purchase.

Huntress was the one I always afraid of (playing as, I mean). Some of them hatchet hits and misses seem so terribly random, even without lag. But I have good news for you: anyone can practice and become decent with any killer. There were no other killers left to max out, so I started playing her, and quickly improved my skills from "pathetic" to "somewhat potato".
It's just that you have to tolerate a lot of frustrating defeats, and the inevitable "gg ez baby killer" remarks. That's not that bad. You should really give a shot to some killer you never played before.
You don't have to suffer the "gg ez baby killer" if you have your chat permanently disabled. Saves you a lot of sanity.
..in case people don't know that you can actually close the chatbox.. Click the two >> arrows and boom, #########'s disabled until pressed again.

Don't bother. You'll have more success playing Trapper.

A shapeshifter doesn't work when the entire meta is SWFs on comms.

She doesnt suck....she just requires a LITTLE more thought. It's not like they removed RBTs from her...
Yall need to stop taking every change as a "killer is useless now" change.
@Carpemortum Her end-game was the most fun thing with her. The ability to literally DENY survivors their freedom, even when the gates are open and RIGHT THERE.
Now you're basically forced to try and use your traps at first given chance. Her end-game is weak af now. On par with many other killers.
@Shad03 I guess? Like I said, I don't honestly care too much. Its all just store fodder to me.
-
Not excited at all. Although, I am glad that the Pigs out there get to enjoy new cosmetics. The leather one is dope. Shame that she sucks now.

You need a 4k if you wanna rank up consistently as a Killer.

A lot of people here agree that Behavior should reach to make most killers as good as Hillbilly, instead of nerfing Hillbilly (and Spirit, Nurse, Huntress etc) down to the same level as the rest.
True fun comes when you're dodging chainsaws, outsmarting Nurses, mind-gaming a Spirit, making a Huntress waste all her hatchets trying to hit you.. All these killers are DANGEROUS so WINNING against them makes you feel great. Winning against a Plague by gen-rushing because there's no reason to heal.. yeah, fun. I guess..
Behavior used to not be so scared of making good killers. It feels like the turn happened after Doctor. Every killer just got worse and worse.

A Nurse's Calling is the only perk I would add to your list.
I've had mixed success with it. Its awesome for finding a healing survivor while you're already in a chase with another, then just go for them while faking that you're still chasing.

@OMagic_ManO said:
It would never hurt to make one here?
With flicking off a fat turn, Hillbilly is hell with loops, super good, A tier??
It all boils down to the player and how effective you're at faking chainsaws and turning corners with it. A good Hillbilly is scary AS #########.
-
@Fab said:
Billy has nothing in the chase. I know this as I MAIN HIM. You can break pallets, you can rev your saw, you can instantly down them... BUT.... you cannot lob hatchets over to the other side, teleport, stand still and phase, use corrupt purge or even place a bear trap.
With this information, Billy is closer to the bottom.
@Fab You've not seen OhTofu's Hillbilly gameplay, have you? He punishes loopers GOOD as Hillbilly.

If we're referring to the "Play With the Devs" stream, he explicitly said at the beginning of that quote that it is his personal belief. He is not a competitive player, he knows that (even said it himself right after), he plays for fun.
@Peanits Other devs share his beliefs as we got to hear "How fun Legion was" and "it was fun stabbing people" and such on Livestream.
Was he fun? I'll let the forum history tell the tale.
-
Discordance - so you can see where people are and get more map pressure.
Make Your Choice - You're not gonna be camping anyway, will add more pressure.
Sloppy Butcher - Being hurt against Spirit is bad, so people wanna heal.. might as well waste a few more precious seconds.
Ruin - If you feel like you need a bit extra time.
Stridor - Let's you hear those injured even easier.
Bloodhound - With sounds bugged, you might as well have this perk so you can drop out of Phase and check for blood if you're chasing an injured survivor who stopped running.
Franklin's Demise - Hilarious perk that wasted a lot of seconds of a survivor's time, if they're fond of their items.
Barbecue and Chili - More map awareness and therefore.. more map pressure.
Mix and Mash, my dude. The world's your oyster.
-
Punishing people for playing together shouldn't be a thing.
Rather, reward players who play with/against SWFs. Add a SWF indicator in the lobby, so solos can decide if they wanna risk it and so the killer can decide if they're brave enough. Add bonus BP (post-game) that scales with the amount of players in SWFs to everyone want complete a trial with them.

In all seriousness this would be a fine idea.
@Shad03The horror of wanting to improve a game I like but in an area I despise.
I seriously don't understand why it wasn't even a thing when the store released. But eh. I've suggested it, at least.

@Peanits said:
Those two things are not mutually exclusive. You can have a powerful killer that's still fun to play against. I personally love playing against the hillbilly, for example, and he's one of the best. I'm not sure how this idea of fun only started but it's definitely not the case. Strength is also taken into consideration. This is something that's applied across the entire game too, not just killers. A perk like Decisive Strike was powerful, but it certainly wasn't fun for the killer, so it was changed to be much for fair with added counterplay. Now it remains powerful when you pull it off, but it's also possible to play around it.
With that in mind, we missed the mark with this one and we're actively working on changes as we speak. New killers change a lot while in development and what we're playing one week might be totally different the next. We always try to give you the most up to date build in the PTB, but that unfortunately means that some issues may arise; detecting Ghost Face before he activates his ability, for example, or even balance.
The goal is always to make something fun and powerful, not just one or the other.
@Peanits Missed the mark with this one? You've missed the mark with a lot of killers lately. Only the Spirit managed to end up good out of the latest bunch.

It's a sad direction the devs is taking. i mean high tier killer can be fun like billy is it's just, devs are too coward to make killers fun well for killer. Clown isn't fun because he is weak , legion isn't fun because of the nerfs.
What i'm trying to say is what make a killer fun, it's the player who play it for example : if a esport player play against potatoes which side will have the fun. obviously the esport one right. it's the same for killer but when a killer is badly designed that's devs fault for both making him not fun and not strong at the same time.
@xllxENIGMAxllx The most fun games I've had as a survivor have been against the strongest killers in the game. An easy escape against a Legion ain't something that leaves me feeling satisfied. Winning against an Omega-blink Nurse.. that's something.
Constantly handicapping new killers out of fear that they'll end up as another Hillybilly or Spirit.. that's just wrong. They should design killers to be strong! The fun will follow suit.
@Boss said:
I think i'm kinda done with trying to get stronger Killers from them.

Yeah I think Spirit is gonna be my decision, sorry Clown.
It was inevitable.

Spirit all the way, sadly. Clown is too underwhelming to be efficient in the current version of the game.

I am mostly looking forward the Archive and the map reworks but like, they said that there'll be two map reworks PER YEAR and the Archive is being dragged down with a Battle Pass.. So eh, I dunno.

Avatar of the Entity - Reach rank 1 each season as Killer for 12 seasons in a row. Failing to do so will reset progress.

@Cymer said:
My issues with the game and playing as the killer are the following:
If you are good with a killer and have unlocked everything you figure out what works for you and from that point onward it's just grind.
SWFs are a big counter to my fun in the game, because you don't know before hand if you need to bring your "A"-game or can goof around.
Yes not all SWFs are sweaty, but if you just try a fun perk build and then run into a squad, you hate it even more, because there is nothing you can do against.
If you run into too many toxic SWFs in a row you yourself start playing sweaty, because you don't want to lose against those voice abusers.
To top it off is the lack of viable killers at red ranks.
What the devs don't get is, strong killers are fun killers!
I have far more fun outwitting a good Nurse or juke a Billy then pity a Legion for trying.
Maybe we need some indicators of what kind of SWFs we are facing, fun/normal ones or toxic ones.
How to achieve such a thing?
Just let us tag players/SWFs after the game with a toxic mark and over a certain tresh hold they get shown to you in the start lobby as a "challenging" SWFs group.
Having a clear SWF indicator would help to chose my load out to be viable during the match.
BTW, why is there no option to save and store my favorite perk builds?
Like rune pages in LoL or load outs in most other games? I would rather have this then a snotty Ghostface.
@Cymer A SWF indicator is something this game desperately needs. I'd also advocate that killers who doesn't dodge get rewarded in bonus BP, depending on how many survivors are in a SWF.

"They said in the PTB that they where going to do that but think that action penalty are unfun for survivors so they didn't."
It's ironic they say this, as if it's fun for killer having their whole power ignored.
"Personally I think they should remove the slowdown when charging, holding and releasing your purge, there was no reason to add these after the PTB when everyone thought she was fine."
We all want a lot of buffs for her, but I actually did not like the PTB version. Not that it wasn't strong like she needed, but I don't think it was good game design. Just walking around holding your vomit the whole time and then tunnel into 1 guy isn't fun play imo.
I'd rather her get her strength in other ways.
@Blueberry Survivor fun is more important than killer efficiency.
-
@SloppySeconds said:
Any thoughts of a Pink addon for her?
@SloppySeconds Here's a suggestion for a pink add-on. You have only one blink and can no longer blink through terrain but fatigue stun is borderline nonexistent.
-
Or you could remove perk levels altogether. Would also solve a lot of the perk grind.
-
That's what happens when a killer is designed to be FUN.
-
Its not a joke. Its just reality. The developers don't give a #########. Ask them why the audio hasn't been fixed yet, or why the audio always breaks an update after it has been fixed.
An under performing and underwhelming killer is the least important thing they worry about. Unless it is in regards to cosmetics relating to the killer, of course.
-
The inhouse testers are too biased/afraid/garbage at the game to properly state their opinions in regards to what the killer needs in order to be effective.
We've seen QA people playing on livestreams and they're basically running in straight lines, not looking behind themselves and running full meta perk loadout.
Why even hire professional gamers or good streamers to do work when you can have a PTB available for everyone and then not bother using the feedback they get to improve their game?
-
Collecting parts for generators are the most popular suggestion I've seen on the forum and personally, I'd love to see it implemented.

there is an upcoming banwave for those players.
also, with dedicated servers they said they would introduce a new DC penality that wont work with the current system, so stay hyped!
just save those add ons / offerings for the date dedicated servers drop and you shoudl get a lot less DCs / they get punished for DCing.
@Mister_xD You're being very naive if you believe that Behavior will ban anyone more than a day when the Dedicated Servers go live and the new DC ban system goes into effect.
-
Save the Best for Last / Enduring / Ruin / BBQ.
I tend to run these four perks. I could switch out BBQ for Spirit Fury but I really like the aura reading as it tells me if I should stick around or head back out hunting.
Tips for gas, don't throw gas on top of survivors on the other side of a pallet or right on survivors in the open. Rather, throw gas on a survivor before you hit them (so their speed boost get reduced) and throw your gas where a survivor want to go when you're at loops. Throwing gas on a survivor who's tbagging on the other side of a pallet will do nothing, but gassing an area where the survivor must go in order to avoid you.. that's the plan.
