  • No. I suck so hard at dodging and looping but i still refuse to DC because of a specific killer.

  • @Orion said:

@projecteulogy I was actually referring to your little tirade against killers who defend legitimate playstyles as just that.

My 'tirade' makes a valid point since i'm talking about intentional toxicity. There are circumstances that WILL give a great reason to tunnel, camp, and even slug. But doing it to intentionally cause toxicity is what i'm talking about wanting to stop.

I would be perfectly happy if they introduced perks that would help prevent being farmed by other players. Or better yet, an incentive to playing solo. Then I wouldn't care if my teammate sandbagged me. The only way to 100% dodge sandbagging is to SWF.

The only time I don't consider it "Camping" outside of gens being done is using Insidious, which is very underused. It's not meant to 'secure kills', its meant to ambush. This is where i feel some survivors get camping and ambushing mixed up. At this point is where I turn on Shadowplay and wait for the memes to start. Or a Huntress having enough skill to be able to cross map with a hatchet.

Congrats, you've just removed the developers. Game is dead. GG.

Not really. What horror movie have you seen where the killer can be looped around a single pallet for 5 minutes? Adjust bloodlust. If you have fun bullying the killer due to broken game mechanics then this game is for you!

Where is the incentive to play the game the way it was meant to be played? By yourself.

Solo play is very underwhelming and nearly forces players to SWF if they want to earn blood points aside from playing killer.

Playing killer is high anxiety and almost always rewarded with salt. The only positive thing about playing killer is the high chance to yield tons of blood points, even if you don't kill a single player.(Doc + Distressing = farm city)

    @Shad03 said:

@projecteulogy What about those that use Bond SPECIFICALLY not to screw people over? Like me?

I don't use it to BM either. But i'm really sick of being farmed because of it. Add a toxic killer and any means to get something from the game goes out the window.

    @Entità said:

    I'd want... UNLIMITED POWEEEEEEEEERRRRRRR! XD

    Seriously, more stealthy perks. :)

First they need to reward playing stealth. Instead, they reward playing badly and letting the killer see you.

  • Removing Bad killers who defend slugging, camping, and tunneling as strats outside of the gates being powered or seeing hook rushers.

Removing Survivors who only know how to loop. And is usually looping around where you got hooked.

Removing the ability to use Bond and Empathy, since a ton of people use these 2 perks in combination with Diversion to bring the killer right into your lap, getting you killed and them farming you.

  • @Hag_Main_Big_Brain said:

Thats salty survivor for you! And not really shocking to see on this game either.

But once a upon a time, when I played DBD on PS4, I was playing hag and was defending my totems REALLY HARD, because the survivors just wouldn't let one totem go ( I was defending it because I was worried it was Devour Hope BTW) so I hooked this Claudette in the process. Long-story-short they got the totem which ended up being Thrill Of The Hunt, so yay! But when that Claudette died, they sent me a message that read, "Tryhard. #########" and I was kinda shocked to sat the least, and kinda found it funny. Then agin it was a Claudette so....

So youre implying every Claudette is toxic? lol okay.

And you were actually being a tryhard in this case.

    @OP

In most cases, i rarely see any kind of salt that the killer didn't intentionally cause by the way they played(tunneling, camping etc).

So if you're going to tunnel, camp, or be intentionally toxic(example: DOC + Distressing/Unnerving and burning a Game Offering) then you're going to get salt at the end of the game. Same as when a killer starts spewing insults because they got looped for the whole game by one survivor with a flashlight and got no kills because of it.

However, If you indulge an individual who is having a bad day and the only thing they can spew is hate... you can easily disarm the entire situation by killing them with kindness. "gg :)". They will just have to go on to the next game mad as hell and not having affected you a single bit. While this behavior should be punishable, It's only punished in extreme cases from what i've seen.

  • As a survivor, I will DC if:

-the lobby ping is extremely low but in game and I start warping or getting stuck in place

-real life issue occurs, i have children

-I get stuck in terrain and cannot move, thus attracting crows and eventually dying. Or in a lot of cases, the killer leaves me alone, and saves me for last because he knows where i am.

-the game crashes(This happens a LOT now with the recent 'update')

-I'm getting sandbagged and farmed by a SWF(it happens occasionally with solo players but far more frequently with SWFs)

Otherwise i'll just kill myself. The only time i'll DC if i get downed is if the killer is teleporting(not the nurse btw) and all of a sudden i get hit and downed out of no where and the killer appears when i'm being picked up.

"its not my fault you have bad internet" more like you're connected to a server that isn't near your native country(ie: from USA connecting to UK). So actually that would in fact be 100% your fault.

As someone who has worked in IT, geographical issues can VERY easily arise in a P2P Environment. I understand your frustration, but punishment should only be reserved for those who intentionally abuse the system to derank. This is actually very easy for them to see on the back end.

  • Please stop making me play as Legion.. "Apply deep wound status to 4 survivors" applying the same deep wound status to the same survivor is bugged and did not and has not ever worked for me lol.. Even after they heal to full.

    20190304090852_1.jpg

Also, in addition to this suggestion:

Remove character specific dailies unless you choose a specific side. I'm not taking a level 1 killer with no perks into a Rank 5 game where i have to sacrifice 4 people. I'm going to get absolutely abused lol. I'm not that much of a masochist, so playing killer isn't my personal forte. Unless you pick a specific side, you should not be getting character specific daily missions.

A super hard challenge isn't fun for everyone. In fact a majority of people want to relax and play a game, not have anxiety(you have more as killer too which is the saddest part about the whole game imo).

I would also like to see a huge point boost, back to what they were years ago. BHVR saying people complained rewards were too high is just malarkey and i refuse to believe otherwise.

    Examples:

    Break 25 Totems: 95,000 BP

Hook 25 Unique Survivors: 150,000 BP

The current Rituals feel more like chores than quests.

I also think we should have weekly quests as well.

All the shenanigans that the dev's "Match Making Test" has caused with inf loading screens, mid game crashes etc, has caused me alone to lose a huge chunk of offerings. I'm not even talking about me playing badly. I lose offerings enough with that lol but geez. So i can only imagine what the rest of the population has lost. All survivors get dc'd the killer loses all their addons and offerings, going to complete waste.

  • @blue4zion said:

I used to main wraith. I don't play him at all anymore after his buff, no only due to my love for Spirit, but because they completely ######### the built in windstorm by decreasing his movement speed while uncloaking. Without an addon to increase his uncloak speed, after the windstorm boost you're the same distance from them like before without windstorm. in It's exactly the same as if they just removed windstorm. It can help at very few loops, but they botched what made windstorm good.

All i used to do was use Wraith. First prestige character ever. But... a killer shouldn't need addons to be good. Addons should playstyles. Not be a bandaid fix for poor development and spaghetti programming.

Playing Wraith back in 2017 is why I hate looping as a survivor and refuse to do it now. I'd rather get caught and get hooked IF I get found.

  • This would cause the game to get region locked in a majority of countries overseas.

IIRC, Russia has a nationwide ban on information/media involving suicide.

As someone who grew up with Mortal Kombat 1, and played the arcade cabinet every day for years as a child i'm not opposed to gore. Its a video game. But it would be a stupid choice for BHVR because it would hurt their sales and being able to allow the game to be played world wide simply because a lot of governments are strict and close minded.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

I don't condone dc'ing just because they hate the killer, but this epidemic of it happening is another sign of how tedious and unfun Legion matches are.

People just don't want to face such a joyless killer. When that thanatophobia buff comes out, the dc rates will sky rocket.

With the way this "match making test" is going constantly causing freezing load screens, infinite load screens, mid-game crashes... then factor in salty killers and survivors who dc(for all toxic reasons) then account for those who DC due to real life emergencies, issues etc it's like they're basically forcing you to SWF. I might suicide if i'm getting tunneled but I usually reserve DCing over something my 'teammate' has done.

  • I'm just gonna wait this whole ordeal out until the emblem system completely wrecks a majority of the high rank killers(and survivors) who use toxic playstyles such as tunnel/camp/slugging to get kills.

I run Iron Will and Lightweight on just about every build because of Legion. To counter Legion, you don't heal to full. You're wasting time. Break all the totems and gen rush him. Legion is fairly garbage unless you're playing solo then you might run into issues due to the huge lack of coordination and Specific Addon combinations make him almost impossible to get away from.

Deep Wound is a trivial joke. Almost every Legion runs the same meme build. So just play to counter it.

  • Nurse is an extremely precise killer. Using a controller and playing nurse is pretty cancerous. IIRC the devs have a huge revamp of the Nurse coming and i believe its because of console players.

I play on PC and use a controller as a survivor but kb/m as a killer because killers require a metric ton more precision than survivors. I tried playing killer with a controller and it made me want to just go sit in a corner and wait the game out lol

  • Welcome to Farmed by Daylight!

In all seriousness though, there needs to be incentive to play solo. between 0-5k bp games because My 3 teammates got wrecked by an insta-down killer, they DC seeing Legion, getting tunneled, camped and farmed.... Where is the want to even play alone? Your SWF will save you, bodyblock for you, BT you off the hook, cover you towards the gate, etc. Solo? lel i hope you have Deliverance and Self Care because you will either be farmed or left to die playing solo. I don't play SWF because ive never found a group of people who didn't hot mic the snot out of the game. Oh you're watching Price Is Right? Turn it up a little more so i can hear Drew Carry make a bad joke.

  • I actually started using Left Behind because I play only solo survivor and most all my games have some sort of DC or Suicide. If it's Legion or Freddy OR a Mori is brought in, a lot of times ive started as the only player vs the killer.

Which brings me to the point that Survivors should be getting Quitter Bonuses as well as the killer and the amount of BP should skyrocket. There's no reason the killer or remaining survivors should be just totally assed out of points. The killer getting the joke amount of BP for a DC makes me sad.

  • The mori is the killer's equivalent to survivors BNP. Though, the BNP was given a dirt nap by the devs. The problem isn't the mori mechanic. The problem is the abuse of the mechanic. Ebony Mori + Ruin + Lullaby + Dying Light = tunnel fest. Throw a half decent billy or a really good nurse and you're not going to generate hardly any blood points.

The new DS change won't deny someone a Mori since you have to be hooked, unhooked, and downed again after so many seconds in order for it to even be available. Once down, you're toast.

I mean, this could be like back in the day where an Ebony Mori could be used once you down someone, hook not needing to be involved. Now survivors don't have any true second chance perks. Just slug the obsession and put a timer on your phone lol no more problem with DS. Killers asked for a nerf, now you will have a Deliverance Unbreakable DS Iron Will meta.

The Mori is the only mechanic that doesn't have a direct counter. DS, NOED, Hex Totems, all perks have counter perks(for the most part). Hell, they finally changed Calm Spirit to help counter doctor's kit.

In fact, i've NEVER played a game that involved a green or ebony mori that the killer didn't tunnel their asses off. Its also extremely rare that killers take a Mori and don't run a toxic build(1 shot huntress, etc). So survivors DC because they don't want to get tunneled down without earning anything. I personally don't care and often just stand there. I'm going to depip and not get hardly any points anyway but i'm not going to DC over a mori.

  • Flashlight clicking is the same as teabagging. Even though that is how most all survivors greet each other in game. Survivors blinding the killer isn't the issue, its the annoyance it comes with.

If you don't think clicking the flashlight at someone is annoying, you haven't developed an OCD, nor do you have children lol. Fact is, its very rare that I watch someone's stream or youtube video that DOESN'T get annoyed at clickers.

There is already a ton of obnoxious survivors who do this with the intent to harass and annoy that use specific structures to abuse looping that the devs have yet to 'bandaid'.

I personally bought this game for the stealth aspect. Then found out that being stealthy has absolutely NO reward what so ever. What? 15pts for crouching in the terror radius? lel really? The dev only truly rewards overly risky/altruistic gameplay. Yet, i still play and support it with high hopes of BHVR doing better even if it is a little bit at a time. Running around like a dumb ass should be a death sentence.

  • A skill check would get completely trashed by anyone running Unnerving and Distressing(which i use constantly LOL) but I totally understand the issue with button mashing.

This also further degrades hardware, and if i(or anyone else for that matter) may have to purchase another controller/keyboard to play this because of a game's mechanic, it should be looked into and changed.

I'm actually fairly bored when i'm struggling. I feel like there's not the level of immersion that people claim it is. I play with a controller as survivor, and my new keyboard doesn't need a DBD stress test in the slightest. While you don't have to mash the snot out of your buttons, that isn't the point.

I'm an old man. Have mercy on my joints RIP

  • @Orion said:

I disagree with the conditions being anything other than proximity to a certain object or part of the map. Other than that, though, I like the idea.

I just don't want it to get abused because someone was intentionally tunneled off the hook. We already have that with the green/ebony mori offerings.

Or.. Or.. Maybe a meter? that builds up. Eat a pallet, get a %. Kick a pallet/gen, get a %. I'm a survivor main, and i feel like Survivors and Killers both don't have "enuff to do".

I'm not the guy gen rushing at the start, i'm the jerk breaking all your totems :D I dislike gen-simming games.

I also wouldn't mind seeing new Mori's in the store for all the killers. These days the size of a game isn't too crucial for a majority of players @ 20 gigs.

There's so much murder potential in DBD with objects on every single map. Don't even get me started on the Hatch.

  • @SmokePotion said:

I like the idea of map specific mori's.

It would be great if i could carry someone who is on their last hook to, like a corn thresher on the coldwind map, thrown off the top of the large boat on the swamp (head dive splat!) or maybe even being able to use your killers normal mori in the basement.

The thing with these moris is that, to be fair, will have to be area's you'll need to take your kill to. There should be a couple per map,and they can only be used if the survivor is on death hook. This would make the game more fun, while not giving the killer a markable advantage like a Mori normally would, since you have to bring the survivor to the kill, like a hook.

In fact, it might give the survivors an advantage, if the killer sticks around to watch the animation.

This is a good idea though. The best part of Friday the 13th the (failed) game, were the environmental kills.

I would actually like every killer to have their own specific basement mori.

I wanted the mori's to be situational/conditional, as i find green/ebony to be sort of unfair, as combo'd with Dying Light and other perks makes the game stupid hard. If the obsession plays like a derp then you're all boned because of one player. If they DC, you're all still screwed.

    @HazeHound said:

What i would preffer is this:

Everything as it is now + whenever killer feels like it he can mori a survivor (hooked once or if he is last one) but it costs him 20k bloodpoints.

What it acomplishes? If you find toxic piece of nugget you can sacrifice your already accumulated points to get rid of this person. It will also not be spammed willy nilly due to high cost, just in those extreme situations.

If you took mori in game you don't pay extra of course.

I just hate bringing random mories. If I don't use it, it feels like a huge waste. If survivors in match are playing normally i just don't want to mori them.

I could see that. 20k bloodpoints from their pregame total, instead of deducting from post game gains. Maybe throw in a few conditions, like... a survivor made you eat 5 pallets and blinded you 5 times.

"Click that flashlight at me one more god damn time and i'll stick it up your ass" - Hybrid Panda

  • I break all the totems before i start on gens. As a solo player, it really makes the other survivors upset bc i'm not a gen jockey lol.

    I support this.

I also support removing character specific rituals, seeing as how I find some killers boring/toxic and if i actually cared about rank(some do, so...) taking a killer with perks that can't counter a lot of toxic plays or Legion(meh). I'd rather have to unhook 30 players with any character versus 3-5 with a character i don't play with. I understand its MEANT to make you play other characters, but since there is ONLY 'rank' play, taking an unleveled character into higher ranks will just end with you getting stomped or farmed.

  • Ive been solo for 2 years now. Only 200h of my gameplay is SWF out of 1700, close to 500 is playing killer. I don't SWF because all my friends quit playing because of how toxic the community is. Then, any groups ive found since play overly toxic and bully the killer, which shouldn't be a thing. Or there have absolutely ZERO Mic discipline. I hate hearing what the hell people are watching on TV or have their mother yelling at them. ffs.

There's no incentive for players to play solo. Literally none. Even if you don't play toxic, the killer main majority will be sweaty. But I'm waiting for the upcoming update for emblems. High ranking killers will have to adapt to actually doing ######### outside of camping and tunneling. I'm honestly sick of 500-4000 point games as a survivor when I do 4 gens and several totems but can't get unhook or altruistic points because the killer is playing a specific way. Get the hatch? oh wow 9,000 points. Lemme get those 2 blood web spots real fast. It's heavily punished to be even slightly altruistic as it is, but solo players will always get the shaft in this game. I've just accepted it. I don't even hardly run from the killer anymore, since i'm usually only found because of another player. I enjoy the actual stealth aspect of the game.

And you wonder where the solo playerbase has gone... lmao

  • Break aura how? You mean the illusion by running through it? Maybe there was a hidden buff/change.

To be fair, unless you're a really talented killer survivors are going to complain.

If you camp you suck. Patrol in the general area? You suck. Tunnel? You suck. Don't tunnel and as a result only get 1-2 kills? You suck. Kill no one? You suck. Kill everyone but use tactics or add on's they dislike? You suck.

Just play the game how you want to play and try to have fun! I would say to try and keep 'fun' in mind for the other people you're playing with too though. Like if you find a guy at the very start of the match, and he's never gotten a chance to do anything, because you're tunneling him the entire time, maybe don't tunnel him on his death hook? Give him a chance to at least play and have some fun, even if it's a suboptimal move.

You'll never please everyone in this game, but there's definitely a line between playing your way, and playing to ruin other people's enjoyment of the game.

I agree 100%!! To expect everyone to be happy with your play when you just killed them is an unreasonable expectation some people WILL get upset with you no matter what! But was how you did it skillful or cheap? Some of my favorite games I dont honestly remember if I was one of the ones that made it out or not, I just remember being a factor and the only times I get upset is when someone does something cheap and unfair like down me before my feet hit the ground when that was some other players choice to take me down and I never had a say in any of it. like the other guy said, remember this is a game and is supposed to be fun for all of us, if we ruin the fun for the other side the other side will simply stop playing and we'll all lose then.
That's the dumbest thing I read. Go play another game, don't need any crybabies. Or do you job and survive. I will let my kill go just because everyone must have fun in a game?? ######### your fun, not there for that at all. A killer is here to kill.

I played 3 games yesterday as a survivor. I got killed, but no need to come and cry on the game's forum. Y'all just a bunch of ''diaper is full'' crybabies.

Youve said nothing constructive in any post you've made on the forums since you made your account. You are the literal definition of what is wrong with the player base. Too quick to throw insults and nothing constructive to bring to the table.

    1. Its against the rules to bump your own thread
    2. No. Because In the event of Steam maintenance that is subjective to making you disconnect frequently.
    3. No. Because Bad weather in some areas may cause disconnects
    4. No. Because Behavior cannot tell if you alt+f4 or if you randomly get disconnected.
    5. No. Because Lagswitching can cause you to disconnect, thus punishing you for something the killer does to get an unfair advantage.
    6. Insulting the developer is going to get you hit in the face with a hammer. rip.
  • This should come standard in KYF to 'fill any empty slots'. I dislike taking perks/items to test stuff in real games so i dont A) waste items, B) look like a complete tool. This is mostly killer-wise for me.

They already have basic AI for the tutorial. Use those!

  • FYM i can't even play nurse on PC because i'm trash(and i have nerve issues in my right wrist :D)

But since every survivor main's special move is the ole' loopty loop(not me i suck at chases. fight me in game and watch me try to hide in your face :D). So spirit is really your best bet to cut down looping outside of Trapper(tar bottle + irid stone is fun) or Bodyblock Hag(Waterlogged Shoe and Scarred Hand). Also Hag with a Mint Rag and Dried Cicadia addons with Surveillance and/or Discordance is a total troll but takes some finesse lol

  • can we do this for items and addons too?

I actually hate Flashlights and i cant get rid of them seeing as how taking a flashlight gets you dodged as a survivor :(

  • I'll buy it day 1 tbh.

  • tbh i feel like in most situations playing solo, the killer is kinda castrated, until the other players start sandbagging... While playing Killer, the amount of times i can be looped around a single structure makes me want to alt+f4 lol

  • @LegitAdventurer said:

Camp. Tunnel. Kill. Its your job. Do whatever you can to win. If you leave my items alone, I'll leave your camping and tunneling alone. Fair trade? Lol.

just please ffs don't slug me. i don't run ds. just kill me so i can start another game #SoloPlayerProblems.

  • This is why i dont teabag in the exit gates.

    +1

Increase the time it takes to move after being downed in the exit gates and disallow people to "fall to safety" after being downed in the exit gates.

  • Especially for killers that run NOED

  • @m0rkTFH said:

SWF was always intended they say? I dont believe it, they just could lie about (survivor mains always cried they couldnt play with their friends).

Anyway, it is simply unbalanced and broken. You can get IN-game advantages with OFF-game devices like team speak and similar crap...which is too much advantage. SWF needs to be fixed, there is no other opinion about.

SWF was intended later on after the game was already released for purchase. However, voice comm abuse was not. SWF doesn't break the game, the voice comm that they use outside of the game is what the problem is. Then you have the sandbagging SWF that abuse solo players. Never bring good items if you're playing with a SWF and you're not part of their squad lol. You will die and they will take it.

Both killers and solo survivors should get some sort of BP boost. It's proven time and time again, solo play with or killer against a SWF has a tremendously(see what i did there?) increased chance of toxic gameplay.

  • 20190304090852_1.jpg

This is what happens when I try to play killer regardless of rank, let alone Legion. lmfao I kinda want my money back since killing 1-2 people per game bc of DCs. This is boring.

  • Also, Why cant Daddy Trapper trap chests tho? That doesn't make any sense for him to not be able to.

Sadly, most all my suggestions for DBD are heavily killer sided while I'm a survivor main. Who enjoys plunders at rank 1-10 lmao

This post made me want to post my ideas. so i'm gonna go do that. thx

  • IIRC they're already going to rework her.

"The Nurse won't play the same" is what i remember I believe Matt commented.

I believe the rework is because of consoles. Playing the nurse with a controller is about on par with sticking your head in Trapper's trap.

  • Unless it's a 3-4man SWF, calling people brain dead is toxic 'in and of itself'. Most of the time, i'm soloing those 2 gens while my team runs around like a bunch of chickens with their heads cut off. So how am I brain dead? You mean I wasn't being an over-zealous hook rusher? I believe that's what you mean. Because odds are you were camping. That's how only 2 gens get done. They were playing poorly, but that last guy doing gens is brain dead. Aight.

I'm rank 5 too and all I see are toxic tryhards tunneling(hard tunneling, going around other players just to hit the injured unhooked person, which also qualifies as camping so long as it wasn't an immediate unhook) or camping(i don't consider Insidious 'camping' as its more ambushing).

Your suggestion will NOT solve stand offs and leaves solo players completely screwed out of a match, offerings, and any items brought/found since most SWFs DC if their teammate dies or they start sandbagging the players not in their party. I know this is hard to grasp for most killers, but playing solo is actually harder than playing killer. Not ranking up, but trying to have some fun in this game until your team screws you. Rank means nothing in compared to skill.

  • So what, you killed the 1 person who stayed. Kudos. I can't even play killer 75% of the time because Survivors DC. As a survivor main, i'm actually fairly tired of it. The only time DCing is at all okay is if the killer is hacking/exploiting, you have real life issues that came up, or the people you're supposed to be on a team with is attempting to sandbag you. If you find being a complete jerk fun, then that's on you. However, that has consequences later on.

Most of you don't understand how karma works. You play a certain way and then get salty later when you get absolutely destroyed by another player lol... If 3 people die or DC in the first 30 seconds of the game.... how do you expect them to fair? Do A gen? A Single gen? It takes at least 2 to open the hatch regardless of the amount of players that start. So that right there tells me you don't even try to play survivor at any rank but 15 and below. The time it took for you to get 2 dcs and a kill is not enough time to do 2 gens solo. This whole thread is bait.

  • I'm not trying to give the devs any ideas, but i would actually pay for this DLC if it came with indepth game play and actual horror graphics, not this "ow i have a papercut from being on the hook" montage they have now lol

  • Pinhead would be the physical manifestation of The Entity. Literally. As someone who grew up on the Hellraiser series and has read a ton of lore on him based on the cult following... He would ######### on every killer past present and future because he's... well he's ######### Pinhead. Lol... I could see this if the game had an actual "End Game"... Final Boss-wise.

  • I'm just glad its not The Game 2.0

  • @GT_Legend2 said:

I am excited, I do think that the 60 sec timer should be reduced, OR have it be so that if you hook any survivor (or maybe not any) the timer will automatically reduce to zero, that way if you are good to a point where you hook people very quickly, you don’t get D striked from simply hooking a lot of survivors rapidly

That will get abused. A lot of killers will down the other survivor then go for the unhooking survivor, down/hook them then go back for the person they slugged. I can see this with gens done/gates being opened but i can see why they did it this way. I'm just scared of being infinity slugged every game. I'm going to HAVE to take Unbreakable because killers are going to be paranoid and leave tunneled survivors down for the 60 seconds then pick them up. I like my setup that doesn't involve exhaustion/2nd chance perks but now at red ranks i'll have no choice because slugging is going to end up a meta. 2 years ago i encountered a metric ton of slugging killers who would slug all 4 and afk. They still do it now, just more games in between.

I'm just going to meme build since i never SWF. DS + Deliverance + Unbreakable + Self-Care/Sprint Burst/Dead Hard/Lithe/Small Game or maybe Spine Chill for the chuckles.

@Master there's already a compensation for the killer if a Survivor DCs. they get more blood points if i recall. As for survivors getting anything for a fellow survivor DCing then that's a trickier thing to deal with to attempt to prevent people from abusing it with SWF to get benefits. When there's a DC you also get the trap door with fewer gens needed fixed.

@projecteulogy You're 95% right. The main cause for upset is the loss of something before we even get to use it. I've lost party streamers, cake, Jars of salty lips, all kinds of great stuff. If i lost them all due to actually dying then it would be fine. I said 95% because a increased BP weekend WOULD still be considered compensation, and as nice as that would be it's still only a very brief thing for such a long standing problem. this has been an issue for way longer than it should have been and I'd rather have more BP given to us each time we have to deal with a killer rage quitting. I'd really honestly RATHER just have the offerings "returned" when it happens instead though since that alone would fix the whole issue at the core.

    Edit: just some typos.

Just had 3 survivors DC bc i used legion at rank 15 trying to do a ritual. BPS completely wasted

  • It doesn't matter if one or more teammates DC after seeing a mori, or the killer DCing for whatever reason there is a huge upset over losing an offering.

Don't get me started on infinite loading screens, crashes mid-game, or the loading screen locks up and you have to force close the game which always results in losing your offerings.

Until they get this bs situated.... Instead of compensating us... have another double or triple bp weekend. I feel like a lot of this is over the Matchmaking Test they're doing. In fact, i'm pretty damn positive.

  • Instead:

Give points for getting camped, boost points for struggling, give points if the person gets tunneled and/or farmed. These point bonuses won't activate if you're in a SWF.

Remove the killer's penalty for camping since they camp regardless. It doesn't hurt their pip and they get a kill and any other morons who rush the hook.

Camp me pls. I'll chill out instead of killing myself.

Camping and tunneling are the two #1 reasons survivors dc.

Next is Legion or Freddy. :🐸

  • I'll +1 this post.

I also think there should be a cool down on stalking a victim.

Example: I stalked Meg and she's now red. After X amount of time, she can be stalked again.

Myers can have his powers utterly castrated by players who know how to kite very well. Which no other killer can be nullified this way. I can see Dead Hard against a chainsaw or a NOED M1 which makes sense. But making a killer unable to use their special ability keeps me from enjoying Myers fully.

  • Uncloak against walls you know survivors are near to avoid showing off your red stain early as well as giving away your position. Take advantage of the speed boost Mr Bing Bong has after decloaking. Definitely take advantage of any offerings/addons you have.

Both Shadowdance addons can stack which makes it hilariously fast to break stuff, kick gens, and vaulting. add pop goes the weasel or overcharge(or both for some major ouchies!)

"The Beast" - Soot = major confusion. Add distressing and Unnerving for altered affects.

  • the average to get a character to level 50 from 0 is about 1.675 million BP.

anyone saying it "deters cheaters" to keep the cap is bs. cheaters are gonna cheat no matter what BHVR does. Remove it like cells and shards or put a huge celing on it(ie: 50-100mil).

I enjoy saving up tons of bp for the PTB so i can break their new killer everytime it gets released but always having a cap and wasting so much BP because you weren't paying attention is bad.

I also wish they would let us turn in unused items/offerings for a fraction of the BP. I'm a survivor main who hates flashlights and never use them. You'd be staggered to find out how many i have a long with addons :D

  • "but if you remove the button mashing from the struggle phase it takes away from the immersion of the game"

the above statement is an absolute farce. I approve removing the struggle feature. Or changing it in the options for those who want to remain "immersive". My hardware has suffered from playing DBD over the last year. I kb/mouse as killer and use a pc controller for survivor because of this. Now i'm about ready to replace my controller if i want to continue to play as survivor lol. Killers do not have the same mechanics that survivors do and this would only be fair imo.

  • There's a bug on all consoles and pc where you get hit and you don't move your legs when moving. It also occasionally happens when you drop a pallet and get a stun. On PC your legs move like normal until this bug happens.

My favorite is the T Pose when you get unhooked or unhook yourself.

If this is just about UE in general, you're VERY late to the complaint party. IIRC they changed the animation and it just looks stupid. If you're looking for realistic stuff in DBD where you can hit someone with a chainsaw 53 times and they keep getting "healed" back to their feet then you're playing the wrong game man. I'm sorry but if i hit you with a chainsaw, you're going to bleed the hell out, not be able to run to the corner of a map and self-heal yourself with air. cmon now lol
