  • Momentum could be hitting multiple survivors back to back within ___ amount of seconds. Downing a survivor after __ amount of seconds after first striking them. Survivors who abandon looting, cleansing, or quit working on a generator while within your terror rad would give Emblem points.

Edit: I just realized how staple Distressing and UP would be lol

  • You have to literally use 3rd party programs/hacks to get banned here. Deranking has always been a thing. I haven't seen too many people banned for it at all. They talk about banning quitters, but i just don't see the actual proof. I've reported plenty of people in the past for sandbagging and working with the killer including after game chat that confirmed it.

The report system needs an overhaul. The end game thumbs up/down, and match rating mean what exactly? I shadowplay 90% of my games, so i always have video proof of whatever I'd report but you can't anymore. It sucks. Considering the dev have dubbed looping and camping(not hook defending) as playstyles, the toxicity rolls on. They creates a store for more cash profit before ensuring players have a means of helping police outside of a wonky EAC for christ's sake..

Switch to a stealth build. Less runny, more croutchy. Killers cant camp what they can't find.

Prepare to get RAILED by other survivors for playing a stealth build. I run Iron Will and Urban and i get SO much hate that "all i do is crouch", meanwhile i'm usually the last one alive and/or survive. Also, stealth builds do not yield hardly any BP. I get maybe 10-12k and barely pip, meanwhile when I play chase, even if i die, I'm yielded 13-14k.. but don't pip. It really depends on what you play well at. I play well at stealth, but its a very slow playstyle with low yield rewards.

Giver survivor more points….points for getting hit… points for getting hooked… maybe points for failing skillchecks?

Just reward failing more, so they get a reason just to fail more.
The killer already needs them to fail, so encourage them to fail!

    /s.

Sarcasm noted. Well anyway, I don’t see the problem with getting “distraction” points. It’d reduce camping complaints, reduce hook suicides, and besides; killers have always told me they should be strong enough to catch the survivor, so in that case, wouldn’t it be the status quo for the survivor to get caught, not a fail? Honestly survivors get way less points anyway, I don’t see why killers are complaining, when this will ONLY be beneficial

Exactly. Im not caring or trying to stop the killer from gaining BP or leveling. I'm trying to escape and not die. There's no need for a killer to care about the BP a survivor earns.

  • What a lot of people can't seem to grasp, is that regardless if you have 50 p3 characters and 4,000+ hours of game time. If just about every game you play as survivor ends with you camped or tunneled, or as killer youre endlessly looped outside of playing nurse.. what exactly are you learning? That the community likes to abuse mechanics? As someone who strays away from SWF, thus not having KYF groups to "learn" how to dodge, juke, and 4k with ease.

This game is highly frustrating when you play as intended. Alone. While intended, its obviously setup for friends. Good killers and survivors are so extremely hard to find that learning "live" without help is kinda hopeless. Which is why I believe the population is so horrendously low and full of trash. We should have 50-75k... while we are stuck at 21k max per day

  • There's no way to really cheat the system with scripts from what i've seen. Everything has a set max speed(ie: wiggling) you can perform them at. Unless youve found a way to cause the script to abuse a bug, you should be fine. I might email a dev or ask a mod first just in case though. Better safe than sorry.

As someone who goes up against docs regularly almost all of them have the range extending addon and I've been working on gens while someone else gets chased 40 yards away. I get hit by the electrode at that range all the time and it isn't a case of finding stealthy players as much as the doctors just spam it non stop until they get you to phase 3 and or down you.

On Gideon's, Lery's and Haddonfield/Springfield they literally just have to walk around and do nothing but spam it. There's no skill involved there nor any counter to it and in solo queue it's rare to get a group that knows what their doing against him. It's even worse when the doctor just camps and walks back and forth with 40 yards of the hooked survivor and spams it. They'll interrupt saving and any gen work being done.

The only nerf I could see for him would be if you use the range extending it gets a 10 sec cd so you can't just spam it and make it so even with a cdr addon it still can't go below 7. If you're not using a cdr addon then give a addon they can ge to reduce charge time or something like this.

I'm looking at this from the point of a solo queue player since in SVF that enrf isn't needed unless it's a duo in which case buff against SVF.

I doc main as killer and solo as survivor. He doesn't need any type of nerf except that remaining crouch would drastically decrease madness gain(lower to the ground/grounded, if you know how electricity works). However, Doctor is so easily looped its not even funny. If his shock therapy actually hurt you besides putting you in a madness tier, then yes he would be OP. As it is, you HAVE to run an addon that causes Exhaustion like Iridescent King or Obedience.

10 seconds would be extremely long to cooldown his ability. If it hurt you, then sure.

Also, Doc spamming his shock leaves his terror radius unable to raise your madness. The moment you start charging, your terror rad stops emitting electricity. IIRC he's the only killer that doesnt have an addon that reduces charge time. So Doctor has a drastic disadvantage. Unless they run Ruin and protect it, Doc will get gen-rushed almost every time and considering 70%+ of games are "SWF", i doubt he will get any type of nerf anytime soon.

The bolded part is only true at higher tiers since solo queue I've had probably 10-15 groups in total as a survivor and 5 as a killer. But for solo his extended range is op considering group make up and most doctors are all highly ranked/prestiged and have intentionally deranked to farm.

There was a doctor I'll have to see if I took a screenshot of it or not that had a reduced charged time addon going.Which is why I suggest a longer cd on charge time. The Calm Carters notes increases the terror radius while charging. He also has Monitor and Abuse to increase the terror radius so if he has the 75% range and the 2 things he's going to destroy on the 2 smaller maps and even the larger ones he's super hard.

Again solo queue low ranked is where the biggest issue lies since in SVF it's easier for the group to counter him.

But this brings back the problem of they can't really fix this until they rewrite the code from scratch in order to balance the 2 queues better.

I see your argument clearly. Like Wraith, Freddy, and LF he's easily countered at higher levels. But i don't see any addon that decreases Doc's charge time. Only increases it. The addons that are troubling you increase his overall range but also increase the charge time. Monitor and Abuse only affects his terror radius, not his shock therapy which is what applies his status effects.

Tbh, i run Whispers, Ruin, BBQ, and Distressing. My addons range from any one of the electrodes along with Calm or Iridescent King. If there was damage to be done by his shock therapy over time by looping survivors, i would take the CD gladly. But until then, doctor is endlessly looped, even with tier 3 bloodlust because it disappears once you down a pallet which IMO is silly.

  • I dont stay in insanely toxic games. I refuse. Developers know that the community is highly toxic and does nothing to stop them. Quit ban? Yeah if you have a TON of them either in a row or in close proximity. Odds are those people are depipping on purpose, or they have crap internet.(ie: last year there was a storm in florida and i kept getting hosts from florida or the east coast of the US while i'm connected to dallas or ontario yay steam locations.)

I only dodge SWFs, all private profiles, or a 4man sabre squad.

Quitting for me ins't about losing. I still pip even if i die as a survivor 80% of the time so its far from that.. When i'm killer, Its the BM from other players. Hook rush? don't care. Gen rush? don't care. Break my ruin 2 seconds into the match, eh nice spawning. Still doesnt bother me. Its the intentional BMing that bothers me. So i'm not going to stay in a game where I'm not having fun. Not saying i have to 4k or even 1k. I like good groups of survivors,. I cant stand BMing brats. 5 minute loop and teabag in the exit gates until i hit them out isn't fun for me or any other person playing killer. If thats your version of fun, get the hook up on some therapy. More than half the time if i quit as a survivor its not the killer, my teammates sandbagging or is a bunch of trolling morons. If not that, i have a real life issue to take care of(as i have kids). I came to play the game, win or lose but have fun none-the-less.

Being a competitive game doesn't mean the allowance of toxicity. Not by any means.

  • Ill trade Self-Care for Unlimited uses of Unbreakable. And don't say take No Mither because killers will camp someone with No Mither to death. I'm slugged and camped equally. and EVERY time i take No Mither its a campfest. Im batting 1.000.

Killers and Survivors are both guilty of abusing things in this game. But there needs to be another way to balancing it. This "fix" would be hurting solo players only. SC has already been nerfed. Half I have to run from the hook bc my team tries to heal me with the killer coming back.. I dont need to SC unless I get hit and lose the killer. Which unless im running Iron Will, can prove difficult in some cases.

  • The real question you should be asking yourself? Why is the developer allowing this?

I cant even play the PTB because its WAY more toxic than live. 90% of my games have been a headache. Why are they allowing such headaches? After match BMing, name calling, no way to report. oh? close the chat? huehue. that doesn't solve anything, that ignores it. You know what happens when you ignore a cut? It can become infectious.. and kill you. It's screams BHVR doesn't care about the people intentionally ruining the game. People feel the need to stroke their ego by belittling others, but will be quick to cry and call out anyone who retaliates and is successful.

Playing killer? odds are you will get Looped for 5 minutes, all gens done? teabag, BM haha ez. Why should i switch targets? show me a licensed killer who got looped in their movie and everyone got away. I'll wait.

Survivor? You can show unlimited amounts of respect. Not looping, not teabagging, just playing and odds are, if youre found, you might as well deadhook because they aren't moving very far away from you at all. I mean, i'll give my team the time it needs, unless theyre all gathered by the hook waiting, then i'm going to just kill myself and move on.

The only time this game is hard is when you're playing killer above rank 16 or playing SOLO. SWF has so many advantages, i had a 80%+ survival rate last year prior to strictly playing solo(tbh i got tired of hearing people's TV in my ear as it drove me to Madness Tier 4). After that, I learned to respect both roles. Both sides want an end to toxicity. But removing the ability to report other players was a bad move. Maybe hire a few people to answer and review those emails. As much as I love the game, there are too many people getting away with a higher level of toxicity than is really necessary...
