  • The boycott is about not buying pinhead. Try again!

  • imo there is just too much stuff behind a dlc pay wall. Most of the killers and survivors should just come with the base game lol

  • I've been playing a lot of overwatch recently. It's fun for me again mainly because i got new friends to play with idk

  • There's a very large amount of killers in the game right now so I wouldn't say he's as rare as ghostface, plague or nurse these days but he's not as popular as Nemesis for example

  • Okay! Good luck with that!

  • Watch how to loop videos in youtube and don't purchase any DLCs until you get all the teachables from the killers you have.

  • Oh god this would be cool-looking I like it.

  • Same for me on Jane and Steve. On the killer side I did it on Clown first because I hate him and I didn't unlock it either??

  • I'm confused... is S very difficult or very easy?

  • The thing is DbD isn't a game with Loot Boxes. I've never played Rocket League but I assume the trading there is more directed towards trading skins you get from loot boxes? In DbD you can choose the cosmetics, the character, and the items you buy so it wouldn't be as used. But yeah, if it's easy to be coded why not?

  • I have multiple times, and do.

You literally wouldn't have stated Killer is weaker than SoloQ if you've ever played SoloQ end of discussion.

Hello! I read your first statement and saw you're new to the game so I'll keep it short:

Hi, and I saw you assertion and laughed as it was ironic so I will keep this short as possible.

Solo Survivor is the hardest role in the game as of now and if you disagree, PLEASE prove me wrong.

Because killer is the hardest role in the game by far.

If you are not playing the best killers then you basically have lost unless the survivors don't know what they are doing.

They control everything, from the map, to the allowed pressure the killer can be gave.

Lets go over the basics of what is allowed by a normal survivor(s):

    • 3 potential base hooks
    • Perks that give additional lives (Some can be used along with others potential giving more then one live, or in other cases can be reused giving a number of lives such as Dead Hard + Unbreakable as a simple combo)
    • Choice of map,4 / 1
    • Pressure, unless the Survivor is playing a great nurse or Spirit, the killer is forced to wait for mistakes by the survivors
    • Bias Maps, most maps (if not all, at least that I can think about currently) offer survivors a multitude of areas so safe, that unless the aforementioned Killers are played, they can be looped for a solid 30 seconds (roughtly) before having to drop the pallet, and in some situations without even having to drop the pallet. (Tree loop is a great example)
    • Low gen time. gen time is quite low, in theory AT BASE (no perks, toolboxes, ect to help repair) all gens can be done in 5 minutes, we know however this can drop down to 3 minutes at competitive play.

Any one of these issues would not be too significant, but because they all culminate, it seriously is a issue.

Survivors can take charge by simply doing gens, and offering the killer chases in which they don't instantly go down. SWF are not a issue because they are the only group that capitalizes on these things, but because they are the only group that can organize with these things.

Meaning in theory everything a SWF does can have a purpose, it can be organized making it more efficient, and not only that but the information spread can be game changing in itself. These are the reasons most consider these a issue.

If a single survivor does what he is suppose to be doing, then they will likely still win.

The only reason the killer wins any games, is because:

1.) They are genuinely much better then the survivors they are playing against (Many say because of broken matchmaking which is likely)

2.) The survivors are not trying, such as just BMing, griefing, dcing, ect

3.) Survivor is too immersed, or doesn't understand what is happening and dies incredibly soon

4.) Lastly, because the survivors are making mistakes, if the killer is playing a decent killer, such as Huntress, Plauge, Ect and not Nurse, then the only way progress is made is when survivors do not understand what they are suppose to do in a situation, or they are failing to do what is needed. You will never see a game in which survivor's (not even in SWF) win because of the killer is making a mistake, unless it is one of the better killers and it happens consistently

    EDIT

Also you haven't replied to any of my points I made previously, yet called me new. That is genuinely intriguing and I just notice it.

Also you haven't replied to any of my points I made previously, yet called me new. That is genuinely intriguing and I just notice it.

Sorry I literally log in twice a week or smthing I have a life and studies to take care of.

    Choice of map,4 / 1

I was talking about SoloQ sorry if you misunderstood that. You have 0 communication with your teammates.

Pressure, unless the Survivor is playing a great nurse or Spirit, the killer is forced to wait for mistakes by the survivors

Okay this is hilarious. So, from your POV, survivors almost always play perfect and that's why we're OP? In tournament play, survivors are much stronger than killers. However, we're talking about SoloQ. If a SoloQ tournament was hosted, the killer would pretty much have the advantage.

Bias Maps, most maps offer survivors a multitude of areas so safe, that unless the aforementioned Killers are played

I can agree with this but still, you can win in any map as any killer. Maybe not as Myers or Legion, but that's not the entire role. Bubba is an avergae-ish killer and he's good on any map, for example.

Lastly, because the survivors are making mistakes, if the killer is playing a decent killer, such as Huntress, Plauge, Ect and not Nurse, then the only way progress is made is when survivors do not understand what they are suppose to do in a situation, or they are failing to do what is needed. You will never see a game in which survivor's (not even in SWF) win because of the killer is making a mistake, unless it is one of the better killers and it happens consistently

To this point I'm begging you please play SoloQ. I know people who play in red ranks that didn't know Plague was until her tome was released. 90% of the survivor playerbase is braindead. We soloq players are the weakest.

  • You can't handle that all killer perks are trash? I don't care. Thank u, next!

Turn half the vault spots into breakable vaults. That way, the killer is speding time shutting down survivor escape paths, so that later game chases are more killer-sided.

That's a good idea but still, I'd rather if they reworked the entire landmark instead since it's so problematic.

  • Really looking forward to it! I just wish they weren't behind a payement wall because I'm not even pondering: I'm not buying this DLC. I have almost every other DLC and don't have every teachable yet.

You can tell how map design has improve when you look at haddonfield

Well at least until Hawkins anyway

Not only Hawkins, Midwich and Raccoon exist too.

    @DwightFairfield said:

just add breakable walls lmao that'll make the map more balanced and certainly won't make it worse and more frustrating overall

How is a breakable wall going to fix anything??? Breakable walls CREATE infinites half the times and you need to break them to remove it. The problem is that the main house has literal infinite windows.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/255254/why-isn-t-kindred-base-kit

Solo survivor is the weakest group of players right now (killers and obviously SWF are stronger).

Killer are not, survivors control everything in or out of SWF unless you are playing vs a great Nurse, in that case you can have your cake back.

Why are they gatekeeping knowledge that SWF get for free, as this results in multiple survivors getting off gens, which is fantastic for the killer.

Because one is a grey area (SWF), and the other is a mechanical change (What you are saying).

It would make playing solo survivor way less clunky, and wouldn’t be too impactful to killers.

Yes it would, giving better survivors even more information just makes the game that much less balanced then what it is.

Survivors control the trails pressure, map, and basically the entire damn game. No need to now give them even more.

Imo, this basic knowledge shouldn’t be locked behind a perk, and it’s honestly baffling that this is still an issue 5 years after launch.

You do realize you are advocating for base wall hack during a point in which the Killer should be rewarded for his OBJ, right?

Obviously, I don’t think the seeing the killer part of Kindred should be base kit.

No that is not obvious at all, wth?

That is like saying "DS should be base kit", then saying "Obviously only when a generator is done".

Its both a bad idea, and for us to come to the assumption that there should be conditions on a perk other then its norm coming to base for either side would be super weird. We aren't mindreaders, we don't know what you are thinking.

Hello! I read your first statement and saw you're new to the game so I'll keep it short: Solo Survivor is the hardest role in the game as of now and if you disagree, PLEASE prove me wrong.

  • Blight and Freddy aren't weak to begin. I play a lot of Pig because she's super fun and unless I go against gods I usually do good. The problem is her stealth: it's almost completely useless, I only use it if a gen gets highlighted with Discordance.

  • Honestly, I would normally agree with this but I the devs don't. Almost every map has been reworked by now and the gate spawns remain the same. And look at the new maps, they are just getting worse: Midwich can't be more killer sided, and it's the complete opposite for Raccoon City.

    Make it ultra-rare

    Make water-logged shoe purple

    That'd be my suggestion

    ^^This would be perfect!

I believe you're new to the game so I'd like you to introduce you to Ultra Rare add-ons: half the time they make the killer's power 10 times better, sometimes they do nothing at all or even make the killer worse :c

  • I like the perks. The killer is okay but he's not fun to go against- and the map is HORRIBLE. I literally like to play in Hawkins this map is just terrible. It looks cool? Yes. But who cares in a game that's all about chases and stealth? This is not an exploration game.

  • I believe he is okay-ish I haven't even played him though. Just make his tier-up add-ons basekit (spoiler: they won't). Still, everyone is going to buy the DLC because A) Resident Evil and B) the perks are very original and have geniune use.

  • I believe it's because the devs get in touch with us this way. It's going to be my first ever Anniversary event ever so I'm pretty hyped!

  • I'm a proud Jane main myself. Along with Steve, I those are the only 2 survivors I have on P3. Right now I'm leveling up certain characters who are low but as soon as I finish I'll prestige Quentin too, becoming a main of him in the process.

  • That perk build isn't really THAT good. I'd suggest:

    • Prove Thyself: The only perk in this game that speeds gens up (for understandable reasons)
    • Poised: So you may go from Gen to Gen leaving no trace.
    • Fixated: For you to hide if the Killer comes (Has good sinergy with Sprint Burst too)
    • Sprint Burst: So you get a reallly big head start if the killer finds you.

I've used this build and it's okay but my playstyle involves being hyper altruistic so no thank you.

  • Imagine coming to a website DESIGNED for players to complain and share opinion to say this bs but yet here we are!

  • Really excited for this too! I'm really looking forward to know more about the DLC and the Anniversary event. Let's hope it's really good and not a fiasco like Eternal Blight.

  • Trickster and Trapper.

All the Trickster's I've lost which are like, 3 I guess, simply won because they hard tunneled someone. The rest of the time is just a boring match with a chance to farm.

As for Trapper, I am a trap magnet.

  • Having a hard time against DS? Don't tunnel.

BT? Don't camp, use BBQ to find survivors after hooks.

Unbreakable? Bestie you know Unbreakable is balanced you can't be serious.

DH? I can agree that Dead Hard for distance is very unfair and that a good survivor player can execute perfect Dead Hards that extend chases a lot.

  • I play with maximum brightness because otherwise I can't see a thing and I can see how that is tiring my eyes. The game should be slightly brighter or either ######### rework Claudette.

  • I don't think it would be a good idea to give survivors maps, but instead RELATE them to the killer they've released with. I can see how this could be hard to do for the OG survivors though. I believe survivors should've been related to their killer since the begining, luckily they're doing that now (Since Blight, all the killers and their survivor are related). This could be done with lore. For example: maybe Jane had nothing to do with Plague first, but new lore for Jane is released where she went to Iran (I believe babylon is in Iran correct me if wrong) and something happened to her there, thus relating her to Plague.

TL;DR: Survivors should be related to their killer so then they share the map, just like Jeff and Legion already do.

  • I play in rank 7-4 as both survivor and killer. I do think I'm okay in both, but sometimes I get shittier teammates when I'm playing in red ranks than when I'm in rank 8

I´m not an excel master . I had to calculate some information with a calculator indeed xD.

I´d gladly give this worksheet to anyone that wants to register their matches, but I´m afraid he would he to adjust some parameters and recalculate some forms. But if besides that, any one wants the worksheet I´d gladly give it to him.

I´ll check NightLight. Thank you very much <3

Glad I was helpful. I'd love to comment on your actual findings now:

SoloQ is really THAT bad, but the thing is it can't really just be fixed with more tools for us SoloQers. Try running Kindred all games: certain teammates will still stay on their gens (without ruin). Try running BT, your teammates will still give up after you farm them. Ruin Autodidact or Solidarity and your teammates will still heal you first. They just need to get better, and you need to just get better at looping.

A tip: aggro is much less rewarded thsat stealth when SoloQing

  • S Tier Nightmare and PH? Bestie what

The thing is all of my SoloQ teammates cant counter Hag and I don't really enjoy self-induced tunneling 😍

  • Altough the majority are survivor sided especially since their reworks (The Game aka Pallet City has entered the chat), Lèry's and Swamp are still a thing.

Aditionally I would love to make a bold statement: Hawkins can actually be survivor sided you just need to know how to loop in it.

Hot take #2: Dead Dawg is well balanced and I adore playing in it both as survivor and killer.

  • the only thing im disappointed at is that they made the discount only for auric cells i want the jane outfit so bad 😭 but im not spending a dollar

  • Hello! I haven't really read this yet, I'll take some time to. But I've seen you've done this with Excel and I wanted to recommend you this one website that tracks stats if you upload screenshots of your endgame leaderboards (although yours is much more complete this could save you time ^^)

Lets talk about the real issue. I see many more clowns than I do Billy's. Sadge

I mean, the devs hate Billy with passion so you're not going to see a buff for him anytime soon. If they liked him he would've been buffed a long time ago.

  • WHY are there so many unlockable characters? I've bought most of the DLCs but for around 70% less of their base price: they're way too expensive (I can see how a license costs 10€ but how do two characters cost 10€ in a game with more than 40 unlockable characters?).

  • I love this actually because I hate Clown with passion. Besides, you've mentioned you often go against Demo? Did I read that correctly? I haven't gone against a Demo since like March or February.

  • twins are pretty good but theyre not really very fun or easy. Opression is okay especially on skill check doctor. Trickster is hot garbage but starstruck is good on hag doc and spirit. Blight is also really good but his only good perk is undying.

Posts like this make me wish we could try killers for a couple of games like those offerings that used to exist.

  • what is UP with everyone disliking blight and plague's moris?? i love them like omg

  • But, are they that random? I main Jane and Steve and they're almost always at the campfire.

  • I had to become a Hag main to learn how to counterplay her. Really helped me, I went against a rank 3 Hag the other day and she got a 1k. She's okay, it's just she's the hardest killer to learn its counter by far (unless someone knows any counterplay to Spirit and Slinger, I'd love to know about those!).

  • I main Steve and Jane and I don't really like their default appareances. Best original is Zarina for me, though Nancy and Cheryl look really good but they're licensed.

  • You know what? I'd pay for this. I literally want a pretty skin for Plague. Anything would do.

  • Puking on objects is especially useful if you can't find survivors near gens you have patrolled. Also good for hex guarding.

  • I love Jane but I think they could rework her prestige outfit, specifically the head... it's just... not good...

  • The thing is Hag is actually a really easy killer to counter, the thing is you only learn when you alrready have 4k hours in this game because she's so rare. Hag is my second most played killer and the only thing you need to do is mess around with her. Don't sit on gens, pressure her: if she sets a web you guys are probably doomed. If you're solo Qing be the one that messes around with her and let your team sit on gens especially if you're decent at looping because of Hag's slow movement speed.
