The perk is still not strong enough even when in SWF for the reasons given above, and if you're soloing why not use Empathy instead? The perk needs a rework, not just a numbers and effect buff.
-
They're also on Twitter, and probably some of them are on Instagram too.
-
Repressed Alliance, it's so underused because it's hard to trigger but it counters Pop, Surveillance, Drangon's Grip.... What else could I ask for?
My favourite exhaustion perk is Lithe because sometimes the killer even gives the chase up because of it lol.

So I'm going for the "No Mither" challenge in the archives, but get frustrated after getting spirit twice in a row. The first match wasn't too bad, but I got caught in chase very quickly. The next match I got matched against the same Stridor Spirit who knew I wasn't running Decisive Strike and relentlessly tunneled me into the ground.
Now I'm not happy that I screwed my teammates over, so I'm asking if anyone has any advice on if not counter Spirit completely, at least buy myself a few extra seconds in chase. I've tried breaking LOS and walking, doesn't work. I've tried Window vaulting quietly and back, didn't work. I've tried throwing pallet early, and breaking LOS, nothing. Iron WIll barely does anything since every Spirit runs Stridor as well.
Call me a nub for having played this game for nearly 1800 hours and still being shite against Spirit. I usually play killer mostly but have been playing survivor near exclusively recently and so I have to deal with spirits I never learned to face. I admit I have to get good so ANY advice on how to go about that against her will be appreciated.
Hey! I only have about 100 hours in DbD but I really enjoy going against Spirit! My tips to get used to versing her are:
- Scratch mark juking! The most underused technique in this game BY FAR. Try and run Fixated to get used to your scratch mark patterns and learn where and how to use them. I usually like portraying like if I left the pallet by walking around it, then leaving some scratch marks a bit away to then go back to the pallet.
- Run Iron Will. A good Spirit will be always able to track you without it if she injures you, and I don't know why Stridor isn't used that often but let's hope it remains as is.
- Distractions are good against Spirit. If you're not soloing and a friend is nearby you, have them fast vault a window or exit a locker, that will distract the Spirit and she may think you got a lot of distance.
- If you know she's gen patrolling, STOP WORKING ON THE GEN. I've got saved of a grab more times than I'd like to admit thanks to this, but I know many people will fail to achieve this. Using Spine Chill or Premonition helps.
- Quick and Quiet is soooooooooo good against her especially if you pair it with Head On. They won't be afraid to grab you especially if it's not your second hook and they will eat that stun.
- Extra tip: only heal if you know she's chasing someone else, Nurse's Calling is a popular Spirit perk and blah blah blah.
I hope any of these were of help!

i feel your overestimating the strength of disco, its good but on a killer that isnt blight or billy its kind of useless the only time it would come into effect is at the start when you havent found someone
Well actually, I tend to run discordance a lot and it's a pretty useful early game perk if you're a high mobility killer, and it's also a decently good late game perk if you can't patrol all the generators quickly.
-
fiNAlLy someone that also likes Red Herring now I only need to find another Repressed Alliance gamer.
-
I think Wraith's invisibilty is decently balanced and all. If he's weak that's because he has barely any ability to end loops fast, he's by far the best killer to detect survivors and his gen defense skills are good as well.
-
It's a single use add-on that grants a very powerful effect, it is fine as is. Besides, gen repairing speed haven't been an issue since toolbox rework, they're fair and, besides, there's not much survivors can do to speed up gens. Prove Thyself is more used for BP rather than speed buff, and toolboxes aren't really worth it anymore unless you're playing SWF or find them in chests.
-
You can't just run that build on every killer you have. Plague or Hag wouldn't really be benefited from that kind of perks.
But overall it's a very simple build that works well on most killers.
-
I'm a SoloQ survivor main and I'm too shy to VC with randoms especially because my spoken English isn't great, but something else like knowing what perks your team is running and making Kindred or Bond base kit for survivors would be easier ways rather than implemeting something as big as a Voice Chat mechanic.

Imbalance. There's a reason why OoO/SWF is so powerful. Letting your team know where the killer is, what they're doing, what they're running, what gens are being worked on, where the Hex is, etc etc. And we've seen how little the devs care about actually balancing SWF, can you figure the work needed to balance comms on the solo side?
There's also the fact that OoO would be so op I wouldn't even play killer lol

Spirit need a nerf, you have no counterplay because you cant see her where she is or what she do, its not funny to play vs her, look this guys they can not do 1 Gen they try it so hard...
and i am a ok killer, there are players who are much better than me, then you can imagine how much fun it is to play against spirit, you can only hope the spiritplayer do a mistake, this isnt funny, you feel like a piece of meat and the spirit is the hunter xD spirit is broken not Undying with Ruin
look that video its so frustrating for the surviver
Yeah that's the main complain about Spirit and Hag rn, the fact that they can guard totems so much better than any other killer. Try playing with friends in a stealthy way.
I actually like facing spirits because I always run Spine Chill and Fixated and they're extremely helpful against her. Urban Evasion is also good against Hag but I wouldn't waste the perk slot on that.

That's 5 games.. click click, tbag, keys, abusive perks... I played Trapper, then Spirit, I never camped and always won, but here it was all red ranks (i'm purple) with mic and rush gens more DS, DH.. impossible to camp bodyblock, flashlight etc... And then you want to nerve the Spirit? Are you kidding???
Ok, Bubba can't be nervous now, perfect! Now I'm going to do it like this, I hook someone and he won't come out, toxic 100%. I invite all the people revolted by the RUSH GEN and those toxic survivors to buy Bubba, it's the best killer camp (need good perk like antibodyblock, flashlight..) !
We agree, 4 gens in 4 minutes of play, even with pressure, it's unrealistic ! Buy Bubba people, you won't regret it !🤗
Run NoED + Blood Warden or Remember me with a killer with high map pressure e.g. PH or Billy or maybe run one of those gross Pig endgame builds that make people ragequit.
-
The fact that I didn't even come across any Hags before Otz's tier list hits different.
-
1) Doc. I'm so bad at looping I always try to play stealthy, and you can't be stealthy around him or even loop lol
2) Freddy. We know why
3) A camping Hag or Bubba

Recently I had the best of luck ever on my life by finding my true love, after sad years with the low opportunities my sexuality caused me I found him in a DBD themed Discord server and can't believe that we live so close and how much luck I had with him since he's the perfect boy on every single aspect and I never imagined I could find someone like him specially in this game.
I give him BIG thanks because my playstyle from before can't be compared on what I learned while playing with him. All our matches are fun no matter what teammates or killers we get, and it doesnt consist in just the fact that we play together, the most important part is that WE DONT CARE ABOUT ANYTHING we are in this game FOR FUN.
I don't know about you but never before I had told myself "I'm launching Dead by Daylight for fun" and wow it looks so crazy now that I'm typing it. Everyone should remember why are they in this game, to have fun and not ruin others, and if others try to ruin your day, ignore them! There's gonna be a new match later which will make you forget about this one you just had.
Summary of my thoughts, just have fun, it literally is simole as thinking about it. Change your dirty play style if you play for ruining others' day because that just means something sad is inside you, fix it by having fun with the game instead, I've met amazing people here and had uncountable wholesome moments that make me remember 0 no-fun moment.
With this happy enthusiasm, I wan to end by saying thanks to the devs, for making the game, updating and adding more content to it, and the fact that they made it to make crossplay a thing has been the key change that helped me playing with my favourite person ever. And to the players, HAVE F U N!
And well just wanted to add a wholesome moment we had playing together this weekend :)
Then, suddenly, the killer goes "You losers needed to play together cuz ur just trash, gg for me I played so good I got 1 kill against a SWF duo"

When you try not to run DS and the killer turns out to be a sweaty tryhard tunneler or when I don't bring BT and the killer is a rank 16 Insidious camping Bubba main.

Day 90 of asking how perks are toxic
I mean, they aren't toxic, but they completely overexagerate a buff that is already powerful. DS on its own is fine since it has decent counterplay, but combining it with Unbreakable makes it have objectivelly no counterplay.
-
As a Demo/ Plague main I agree that, when I play Survivor, I never see my mains being played :c

- A blocked Generator cannot change its progress
- A blocked Generator retains its regression state, but no progress is lost until it is no longer blocked
Not only generator speed is not a problem to your guys,
you gonna make killer's life more miserable???
Are you kidding me??????
You realize this is actually a powerful mechanic? I personally really enjoy using Repressed Alliance even thought it's hard to activate, but it completely counters Pop and Ruin's regression.

What if perhaps to replace DS or just as an anti tunnel mechanism a survivor just unhooked, gets to phase.
So, much like the Spirit 's power, when unhooked, you are no longer visible to either killer or survivors for say 20 seconds or so.
You can heal, but cant do gennys.
You can enter lockers, for those with inner strength.
The first 10 seconds you have spirit speed to cross the map unnoticed.
If you attempt to touch a genny, save, heal someone else you immediately come out of the phase world.
Just a thought, what do you guys think?
Okay that's a good idea for a perk but I think that a reworked DS would still make you get out of a killer's grab. I think the best they could do is to add a requirement to DS and make its duration shorter.

I'm pretty sure they wanted to make this a buff to repressed alliance, which is a Silent Hill perk. They updated other Silent Hill perks as well. Maybe we'll see some Laurie perk reworks when Myers gets his rework.
Repressed Alliance is a ######### perk rn because it takes so long to activate. They should buff that one perk making it easier to trigger instead of nerfing all Killer's game slowing perks

@SoShiny said:
Even some of the very low tier perks have their uses... but bottom of the barrel... Poised.. such a useless perk.
Well actually Poised could use a little buff but the idea is okay. It's also a good perk to counter Tinkerer and another gen perks if that one gen is almost done.
-
I agree with most of them but I'm not sure about lightweight, it's a strong perk for me already. Also two perks that for me need are rework too are:
Repressed Alliance: Make it so that the time to charge the perk is smaller.
Fixated: pLEase make us walk faster even if injured.

Im asking what do other Legion players do when they get a hit with Frenzy. Do they 1. Hit the survivor and go after the other survivors with killer instinct or 2. Hit the survivor and chase down that survivor while canceling Frenzy then basic hitting them to get the down. When I first started I did the first method then I would chase the last person I hit with killer instinct but now I tend to do method 2 but when I do method 2 and there are 2 survivors close to me then I will hit them both with killer instinct then I will proceed to chase them. What do you guys think is more beneficial in the long run? Method 1,2 or a combination of both. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions.
How can you be struggling using the easiest killer out there
-
Sometimes I let the last survivor escape via hatch if their team was complete #########. I made friends that way.
-
I think NOED should act in a similar way to the Hatch: it still activates only if all generators are done, but the Hex Totem activates depending on the number of survivors left and generators done (4 survivors, 1 generator left; 3 survivors, 2 generators left.... ).
-
Plague has better perks and I like her more. Besides Jane has Head On which is one of the best perks ever created. Freddy is fun too and Quentin is cute thought.
-
Oh I didn't know doing 360's slower (which is barely the only difference between console and PC Survivors) was that big of an issue. A rank 1 PC survivor isn't much better than a rank 1 Switch survivor.
-
I mean how can the not ignore the complaints of half of them are just "Rework DS it's annoying". People still complain about Legion and other killers the same way and they're very sick of it so they just ignore most complains. They're good developers and know what they're doing but sometimes people just make mistakes 🤷♂️
-
Yes there are many types of counterplay but most of the times it's baby survivors who can't counterplay camping against a baby killer. What should be done is make the Entity not to progress on the hook (aka stop the red bar if the killer is close) that would force killers not to facecamp.
