How dare you try to bring balance to the viewpoints on here. Shame oh you ;). Be a good forum member and pick up that pitchfork ;)
It's astonishing how quickly the rage and doom is spreading. Over nothing. Over some digital art some other company is selling and BHVR can't stop.
You'd think BHVR was caught engaging in human trafficking. XD
People, do you realize there is no purity? Look closely enough at everything you buy and someone, somewhere is being hurt.
-
OP, I'm stoked about tomorrow! Great changes for Trapper and Plague! Can't wait to try her out and bring out my Krampus!
Plus, no more early escape key plays!
-
Anyone could have told you that. This whole drama is absurd and people need to slow down, breathe and chill out. Not everything needs an instant post, video, sky is falling response.
Enjoy the game. It's ok. Great patch coming tomorrow.
-
Everything is fine. This is some mad, internet mob level stuff. People need to go outside and breathe for goodness sake.
Chill out, people.
-
I can see you are passionate about this, but I have no idea why. As you said, there's no ethical capitalism. There are much more serious issues in life to take a stand on than a digital art scam that BHVR has literally no control over.
It's done. Just keep not buying nfts.
-
No, it's fine. The internet is just addicted to drama and outrage.
Take a break from it and just enjoy yourself. And if the game isn't fun for you, take a break. It'll still be here
-
Please don't take him from me. I've waited so very long and he's great.
-
no, it's not going to happen. don't listen to dumb internet drama.
-
i requested one more sale in feedback if you want to add your voice to it. maybe they'll give us one last chance before they're gone.

As advised in our recent QA Stream, we will be implementing this but we want to advise people not to expect it at the Streamdeck's launch, we haven't confirmed when it will be actioned.
thank you so much! i really appreciate your attentiveness on this! i'm looking forward to it, and we're happy to help with testing if you want!

Scourge hooks should change all hooks. Change my mind. XD
-
maybe so, but they're not going to redesign the maps. so i'd think next easiest way to approach this is either to tweek speeds, or a Stamina mechanic of some kind, imo.
-
agreed, the whole system needs to be redesigned to be more fun and rewarding. the grind has become overbearing and unsustainable.
-
I'm planning to pass on Bloodfavour. I want them to drop pallets and think they're safe so i can Punish them.
-
Spies from the shadows would be much cooler if the notification was a much louder crow caw
-
I'd like a PH Iri that applies torment to survs hit with Punishment.
He needs an add-on pass badly to make his add-ons more interesting and useful
-
Couple of quick thoughts.
I place short bursts of trails in areas I think may be well traveled, like window vaults or grassy areas. But mostly I use trails in loops. When a surv is looping me, start dropping trail. They will either take the loop wide, leave the loop, or get tormented.
Perk wise, I try to use perks that keep me moving and aren't hook based. PH will hook people though, and a lot more often than one may think, so one can use hook perks, just know that it creates a little conflict between hooking and caging. You'll always have to make a choice.
Lately I use Deadlock, Tinkerer, Mindbreaker, Thrilling Tremors.
Other options are Nurse's Calling, though I find its usefulness drops off either once they know it's in play or you reach higher MMR. I'm All Ears is also popular, just be sure to practice hitting that Punishment whenever they are stuck in vaulting animation.
I also want to try Hex: Plaything on him. Since there are only 5 totems in play anyway, it could be a useful way to make use of the times I do have to hook.
I'd say experiment with perks that have persisting effects that don't bind you to the hooking gameplay, but maybe can be useful during the times you do hook. The example with thrilling is that it has a cooldown for one so isn't up all the time, and I can activate it just by picking up. If I want I can immediately drop a surv and cage them if I want.
I also don't always cage. I try to use it wisely. Sometimes a hook is so close, just use it. Or caging them would basically teleport them the the survs. Sometimes I want them to just stay tormented because it makes them easier to track and I can mori them on death hook.
These are basically my thoughts. Glhf!

Ah yes, purposefully drop MMR, good idea.
I mean, it doesn't sound like he needs to purposely drop, since he said he's losing with other killers. His MMR on those killers will drop naturally until he's playing with people of similar skill.
-
Definitely could use a buff.
Cooldown is unnecessary. Lose it.
Proc on specials also.
Maybe slightly increase the range and damage percent. But I'd start with the first two and see how it goes.
-
While I don't disagree with those above, I don't fully agree either.
I try to inject a bit more horror by running unorthodox or thematic builds, like Plaything and Third Seal on Hawkins, Lerys or RPD. Things like this really change how the survs approach the game in order to win, so it mixes it up a bit and shakes them out of their complacency of "how the game should be played."
I also don't worry about second chance perks by not doing the things they're trying to protect against. So many of their meta perks don't help much while I apply pressure elsewhere.
Do I win all the time? No. But that's not the point. I'm kind of glad when they sort it out and escape my horror movie.
-
I think it would be good to make those BP bonus dynamics just part of the game. It's a good way to incentivize hooks and safe unhooks.
-
Man there are so many.
Demo noises. Like, all of them. The stomping, the screaming, the pallet whine, digging in portals. he's so good.
Cenobite. Lament box spawn. Pallet break. Chains wooshing around and impaling people. Chatterer chattering. Pinhead's missing voice lines. :/
Trapper leather sounds.
Pig pallet squeek.
Nemesis scream.
Plague whispers.
Pyramid Head dragging his sword and breathing.
DbD has great sound design.
-
Hellraiser. This was such an iconic movie for me as a kid and always sparked my imagination with the alien ideas of the Cenobites. He was my most wanted in DbD and is now my main. He's beautiful. I'm hoping for skins for the other two Cenobites, and then maybe one day from the new remake coming out.
Silent Hill. My preferred survival horror series. The lore, characterizations, psychological horror, mystique, designs, music, I love it all. Can't wait for James to finally join us.
Stranger things. Demo is amazing. I love his gameplay and sound design. His map wide screeching is so satisfying. I love the lore of the Upsidedown also. Perfect fit.
These are why I even play DbD. No where else can I play these iconic creatures, and over time I've come to love many of the original killers as well!
-
I'm not Scott. I read this post, and I'd do it again.
-
Pinhead's voice. More Cenobite skins. Non humanoid monsters like a giant spider or The Blob.
-
Mr. X for Nemmy.
More Cenobites: Deep Throat, Butterball, and the new Pinhead from the reboot.
Classic Krueger.
-
I'm hoping it's just a scam, but we'll find out in a couple of days.

NFTs.
They got removed because of NFTs. The things that are helping accellerate the global climate crisis, make no sense, and are essentially a rich person flex to show they're rich.
Those things? They're the reason we don't have the voice line anymore.
And BHVR took part in making this one. It uses their character models. It gives access to their DLC. According to EGMnow, they explicitly helped in the creation process.
This all public information now (since Boss Protocol- the creators of the Masters of Horror NFT) have gotten it up and running; here's a screenshot of their website.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/D8KSV2PNQCO9/image.png
Enjoy.
EDIT: I'd like to clarify I am not saying this is 100% BHVR's fault; it's entirely possible a contractual stipulation to aquire the licence was to work on this. Considering how there's copies of the Hellraiser DLC included, that seems likely.
EDIT 2: it's very likely BHVR were forced into this by the licence holders
I'm waiting for BHVR to make a statement, but either way I want it clear I would never support this.
-
As long as the box is gone, I think it's fine otherwise. They are just timing it to the teleport doesn't complete.
-
I love Pinhead. Chatterer. His voice. The other cenobites. He is my main and I've waited years for him.
There is absolutely no way I would ever gamble with a loot box, much less for the absurd asking price.
A real shame.
-
oooo, i'm sorry, i misunderstood the situation being described.
my understanding is that if he teleports, then the box should disappear. if that's not happening, then yeah sounds like an exploit.
-
it's completely fine. if you're having a hard time with it, you need to think about your positioning better when you start solving the box.
-
No one can stop Nurse's chill.
Having said that, I agree. Buffing the weak is much more dynamic, fun and interesting.
-
i play 80/20 Killer to surv. i love MMR. i've had a much better experience overall with ppl closer to my level. and when i get too high and see those Navy Seals, it's no big deal, my MMR adjusts until i'm back with ppl my own strength.
any surv i kill, i won vs that surv. if they escape, they win. the devs share this mindset and it's how they have built the base of the MMR, with some adjustments for how long one survives and with the exception of hatch which isn't counted for either side.
you need to adjust how you think about the game. there're two ways i think about Killer. one is me versus the team, and one is me versus each surv.
as for Killer vs the team, a 2k is an even split. any less than that, i consider the survs to have won overall. 3+ kills, and i consider i won vs that team overall.
so there's more nuance to how i look at the match. i can get a 3k, beat the team, but one surv still beat me. similarly, i can get 1k, lose vs that team, but at least i know i beat that one guy.
-
agreed. if Grade is meant to be a measure of time played, there is no need for depipping anymore.
-
i'm also willing to go places like, say, give Killers 5 perk slots instead of 4, and see how that goes. they're going up against 16 perks for goodness sake.
survs don't need to be coddled so much. so many Killer perks have all these restrictions to them that makes them useless. they should be able to compete with other meta perks, and that's ok.
-
Generally, I think survivors are too fast. It drags out chases, leads to hold-W meta and Scooby Doo esque looping.
It's excessive. Their run speeds need to be toned down, or maybe exhaustion slows you down more.
-
Lose the cooldown and the M1 only requirement definitely.
Maybe up to 10% and increase range a little.
-
it doesn't need a downside. just let the man move his traps. XD if Trapper becomes and issue, then we can address it, but I don't expect him to suddenly become S tier. XD
-
Once I get Mr. X, then I play Nemesis.
-
I did at the beginning, but now that I know the game a bit better, and with MMR, I run whatever I want.
-
Spirit, Huntress, Wraith, Blight
-
Way more. It's so much more fun now. I can play how I want, with whatever perks, and my MMR adjusts. Been having a great experience and much less stressful.
-
Great thoughts, guys! Yeah, it's just a cool idea for a perk. I welcome all thoughts on how to buff it a bit and make it worthwhile.
-
This is part of why I love MMR. I can play however I want, and win or lose, I'll get paired with ppl close to where I should be. I can use whatever perks I want!
-
Bruh, use add ons. What are you doing? They're literally there for you to adjust your gameplay.
You not using them is only handicapping yourself.
-
the voices were awesome, no doubt. but removing them won't stop me from playing one of the most iconic horror figures of my youth. i just say the lines myself at my desk. XD i swear, any time someone starts solving, i turn and say "The Box!" XD it's pretty fun, ngl. :D
-
Disgruntled people are more likely to comment than satisfied people. I'm having too much fun playing to argue with people online.
Sorry you're not having fun, but SBMM has been great for me on both sides.
-
It also makes me unable to play the game on Linux. I hate it so much. XD
-
It's not been confirmed. It's just suspicious that they said they can't talk about it further. That's why people suspect this.
