i used to run Sloppy fairly often as an alternative slowdown. With CoH, it's basically not worth it anymore. it's a real shame. :(
but mind you, i'll still run it sometimes if i feel like it. you can still run whatever you want. your MMR will just adjust accordingly over time. but i can tell the return on investment is not as good as it was.
-
Attack type restriction and cooldown can both go.
Buff this cool perk, please.
-
OP, you got played. Sorry to say it. They played you like a fiddle.
Never trust Killers. We are capricious.

1. Jason
2. Pumpkinhead
3. The Tall Man (Phantasm)
4. The Blob
5. The Thing

But BHVR does. It's their pay day.
Ok, but, I would think invest a bit more then into the company and staff to do both then.
Because QoL features and adjustments are being very neglected.
-
yes, please. this gets requested very often. like, at least every week. i'm shocked they haven't done this already.
-
i'll do you one better.
BP modifier functionality should be basekit and not tied to perks. then it could work with his cages on both sides of the game.

I had two ranks get rolled back and only received 250,000 for one. Is this a bug as well?
same here, just FYI @MandyTalk . no pressure, though. thanks for the apology BP!
-
i'm a killer main. i do think many currently meta perks should be incorporated into basekit for the health of the game and to facilitate more healthy, fun play and more perk variety. they could be toned down if needed to compensate. i think this should happen for both sides.
-
Don't DC. Go make a sandwich, use the bathroom, alt tab.
-
Like Plaything, hexes should be protected by the entity for 90 secs?

DS isn't even a free get out of jail card anymore, the perk now does exactly what it was designed to do.
It still is if they can do things that further the game and maintain DS, such as blessing totems or solving a box that literally notifies the killer and could teleport them to your location to begin a new chase.

Press W should disable DS
Strawman. Not furthering the game.

No, if so then pig's trap would do it too and that is really bad idea.
Not quite the same.
I've had survs come off hook with DS and run the the box because they know they have the 'Get out of jail free' card. That's not being tunneled, that's aggressively using DS instead of using it to get away.
Removing Pigs traps isn't aggressive.
So yes, it should disable DS.
-
Mr. X is definitely one of the most requested skins for him. I would absolutely buy that.
-
Definitely an oversight.
Solving pinhead's box should also disable DS.
-
On secondary objectives, I think that's a great idea. I actually love the box on Pinhead. I think it's a great mechanic that forces survs to attend to it. I'd love for all killers to get something in that vein.
On base NOED, I like the way you think! I was afraid to suggest that in fear of the pitchforks coming out. XD but you make an excellent point that it would make doing all bones or not an informed, gambled choice. And the game seems to want to encourage survs to do bones anyway, so yeah! It could work!
-
I like the idea of simple, daily and monthly play bonuses. Very easy.
We can keep emblems for match BP awards.
-
Oh yes please. It's absurdly loud. XD
-
Kindred is certainly an option. I hesitated because info is king in DbD, imo. And the time survs spend being chaotic because they don't know what others are doing is a benefit to the killer.
However, as you said, this is a non issue for SWF groups, so maybe it would just even out the playing field. Though I'd feel bad not compensating killers in some way for that loss.
Oh, also, the BP bonus aspects of BBQ and WGLF should be base kit.
-
I'm a killer main and Pinhead is my main. Love him. His design is exceptionally fun for me.
I waited a long time for him and I think he's really lovingly made. So glad he's here!
-
I'm open to it. He definitely needs an add on pass.
M2 should apply torment either at base or with an add-on.
Rotation with M2 needs to be addressed and smoothed out a bit. It's so clunky it makes some hits literally impossible because the rotation angle is so high.
-
i confirm, i'm also having this issue.
-
i think i threw up in my mouth a little. poor Pinhead. he deserves to be treated much better than this. classic Park Avenue. blech. i'm glad Barker is getting the rights back.
-
this can't be real. right?
-
the best survs will certainly forgo healing unless they absolutely have to. but i don't run the meta-est of meta perks because i get bored easily doing the same thing over and over. so i try to mix up the ways i slow down the game, with Sloppy, Plaything, Deadlock, Thrilling, stuff like that. only once in a while will i pull out the Ruin/Undying/Corrupt stuff.
for survs that are terrified of being wounded, sloppy adds up. i contend that it's still a good perk, if not meta. at least for now.
-
Plaything and Third Seal on an indoor map. Take away their information and watch them run around like chickens without heads.
-
That's... why I'm here. :D
-
Why do I see their names at all? I just need to know which Meg is which. That's all.
-
honestly, i can't wait for it to end. XD it's cluttering up my Killer bloodwebs with garbage i can't use after the event. i think it's a net loss in BP. XD
i'd prefer them to just do a blood hunt, but oh well. it's forcing me to put BP into survs, since at least they can keep using their stuff after it's over.
-
The person who hurt you and ruined your fun wasn't the killer, it was another survivor.
Why don't you try to tell the surv community to stop DCing and leaving their party in the lurch?
-
#NotAllKillers
-
I'm a killer main. These perks are annoying, yes. But I don't blame them per se.
What bothers me is that the only negative aspect of being exhausted is that you can't use exhaustion perks. I think exhaustion should cost them more than that
-
I agree. There are many perk combinations I'd like to play with, but many killers need gen regression to even begin to play the game, thus limiting my options.
-
@Mandy said:
The system is designed to be used when something can be abusable or cause massive game crashes - hence we disabled the Circle of Healing Perk and disabled the offerings to the maps so that it cannot be abused.
Think of the Killswitch as an emergency last step - it's not going to be used for everything. The Video Tape addon does not cause a game crash, nor can it be abused which is why we made the decision not to killswitch this addon.
I will forward the feedback on this to the team for further discussion if it becomes an issue.
yeah, i get that. i think mostly my concern is for those who don't follow all this info and are playing the game. they could use the add-on, waste their BP, and it doesn't work in game. it's not a great experience for the player or look for the game.
-
As a killer main, the Boons have actually gotten me to enjoy playing survivor again. I like having something else to do besides gens, and trying to control space with the boons is very fun for me.

not really trying to change that. If the gates are powered (or even open) I don't see how the hatch being visible would effect either side tbh... Actually, the pig would probably hurt from it so BHVR will probably go for it 😂
It just becomes one more thing the killer needs to track. It's hard enough at it is! XD
It's sort of outside the gen/gate gameplay dynamic, basically adding a third exit that could ostensibly be opened quickly.
-
For new killers learning the game, their understanding will be more simple. I'm a killer, I kill, I see you, you die. Repeat.
It takes time for them to begin the understand the nuances of the game.
For experienced killers, removing 1 surv from the match drastically improves their chance of winning assuming they can get it done quickly. In that sense it can be efficient, if not the most fun for the tunneled person.
-
Nah, I like it now. It's last ditch 50/50 chance
-
it's a bit excessive, yeah. tone it down, or just remove it and leave the blue floaty orbs. they're probably enough.
also, the constant ringing hum of the boon totem is also annoying as surv. not really needed either.
-
aw, i was hoarding these for the day before they left the store. :(
-
internet drama isn't real. it's quick, easy outrage. a type of dopamine high. it means nothing.

@Marcavecunc said:
They're half off now? Unless that just got added back to the store with this update?
yeah, just changed today!
-
hooray! buy the skins now!
-
Sure, just stay cool.
Looks like this thing is using Eth, and Eth is moving to Proof of Stake. That should dramatically cut its climate impact, as far as I understand it.
I still think NFTs are silly and would never buy one nor recommend it. So I don't.
Do I think this development is worth the weeping and gnashing of teeth? No. And I don't think it's needed to drag BHVR to the stocks in the public square.
Anyway, I've said my piece. People should relax. This is no Great Struggle.
-
It'll spice up the game for at least a little while! I welcome the adjustment. Will be fun to have to think about a new variable that lets survs control some territory. I enjoy new wrinkles like that.

I really hope you don't think this is the only thing people are working towards. We can be upset and spend time on trying to change something small like dbd for the better and still go and work on other things even larger things. I myself am working to get a charity event sponsored by my local university and am interacting with and promoting the charity New Story
That's good! I hope they are, but that's up to each person to examine their own life.
The reaction to this has been unnecessarily dramatic, imo, and over sized to what's actually transpired.
People need to calm down and keep their heads, is all. You still don't have to agree, but all the grandstanding is silly, like BHVR personally caused climate change. XD keep it in perspective.

They can't stop the license holders from doing what they want.
They also don't have to advertise the scam that destroys the environment for them.
They literally might have to. Contracts can be like that.
Best thing is to simply let BHVR you don't want them to do this again, and keep not buying NFTs. That's literally it.
Making hell for the community manager isn't going to do anything.
All this pent up activism should be pointed at something actually impactful in life.
-
People are just working through some things. It'll be over soon. Don't sweat it
Anyway, boon totems! We'll see. It was OP on ptb. They got adjusted down to address some issues. Once we see them it the live environment we'll get a better sense of their impact.
