With all of the perks and hexes that cause exposed status effect, one damage mitigation perk(that can only even be used once in chase) is completely fine. Dead hard is not a big deal whatsoever and is easily countered by baiting it. Just wait literally half a second and you've countered it lol.
nah, good players wait to watch your animation, and they can then beat it out with DH. it sucks. it's a get out of jail free card.
and once every chase?! that's an absurd amount of usage. it's DS/UB tier. as it is now it should be once per MATCH.

same idea.
-
Bueller?
-
Dead Hard needs only one change. It has to lose the invincibility.
It should be short distance burst perk for extending loops by helping to reach a vault or pallet, and that's all. The invincibility frames are excessive and, imo, out of character for the game.
-
ok mandy, sounds good! thank you for your patience and all you do for us! i wait with eager anticipation. :D

@MandyTalk updated first post with more current links and information.
also note these instructions from Valve. very easy. please pass along.
https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/steamdeck/protonfrom above site:
"Easy Anti-Cheat
- Proton supports Easy Anti-Cheat without requiring any recompilation, but it does require you to manually enable support for your build by following these steps in order:
- Go into the SDK Configuration settings menu on the EAC partner site and enable Linux as a client platform.
- Go into the Client Module Releases menu on the EAC partner site, choose the Unix platform, and activate a module. If you cannot find the Linux module in the status dashboards, please contact EAC support.
- Once that's done, download the EAC SDK and find the Linux library (\Client\Assets\Plugins\x86_64\libeasyanticheat.so) for the SDK version integrated with your game, rename it to easyanticheat_x64.so, and add it to your depot next to the Windows library (EasyAntiCheat_x64.dll).
- Lastly, on the Steamworks site, publish a new build of your game containing the new depot contents. (You don't have to make any changes to the game executable, just include the new files in the depot contents.)"

Steam Deck about to release! Looking forward to the announcement about this implementation! Maybe in the Sadako Rising patch? Please oh please! XD
-
@necrodos seems mandy edited your post. my guess is we're not allowed to put links here. but yeah, it's protondb. anyone can google it. it looks like this:
we're all eagerly awaiting the day DbD's EAC allows Proton compatibility!
-
Definitely! Please do this!
-
Ah ok. Well, all in good time then!
-
I haven't heard of any Epic account requirements for SMITE, so I imagine it's all backend stuff.
Question is, then, does DbD use the EOS EAC or the older non-EOS EAC?
@MandyTalk would you be able to find out for us?
-
Fav: the Cenobite entering the fog. I waited so long and he's just so lovingly designed. So well done.
Least: losing his voice. :(
-
DH should keep the distance, lose the invulnerability frames.
-
No. It's fine. He was already unjustly nerfed, stop trying to piecemeal patch stuff you don't like.
People need to learn how to play. Different killers should require different approaches.
-
It's ok, OP. There's just no way to know what the next match holds, so just try to be a good sport and send out positive vibes, no matter what.
-
Rights to Hellraiser should have reverted to Barker by now. I hope they're reaching out to him to get this sorted.
-
Yes and no. Personally, I lost vs the killer because I died. Maybe I get out played, or maybe I sacrificed myself for the team, but either way I'm dead so I lost.
But if the rest of the team lives, then that's a win for our team and an overall loss for the Killer, even if I personally lost and died.
-
it works now. just got it.
this can be closed.
-
my mistake. it's not trapping them. you have to pick them up with the active ability button. it works fine and i got it.
this can be closed.
-
He's great, in my main rotation, but his add ons are a snooze. Add on pass, when?

Dead by Daylight.
Never heard of it.
-
Yep. 3 yesterday. And I main him on killer side.
-
Yes. Each light should be a regression save point. If left alone, it will regress to the last light achieved
-
Good thoughts. Maybe? I'd like legion to play a bit more like an evil survivor.
I'm mostly just looking for ways to buff him and make his play unique and interesting, and not just minor tweaks to numbers.

Why would I bother trying to change your mind? It's so ludicrous that it's not even worth breaking down the why. And the devs would never consider it so it doesn't really affect anything that you think that lol 🤷
I accept your defeat.
-
I've been looking forward to this.
-
Since he's not a threat, I ignore him and hunt the others until I can't stand the idle crow notification anymore. Then onto the hook he goes.
Unless I need to farm him for some stack of something.
-
Hook based, yes. I'd be fine with 1 token still, however.
It should also activate on the active ability button so the killer can choose when the use it and when to just use a normal lunge.
-
No, I don't think they mean that. They just may not be as familiar with these ecosystems as we are.
@MandyTalk I hope you'll encourage the devs to at least look into what exactly is entails sooner rather than later, as I expect it will be a very easy implementation.
-
I'm excited. I really dig its vibe and it's trying to learn from many of DbD's missteps.
Healthy competition can only be good.
-
Great thread and analysis. Thank you, @zarr
-
I'm going to allow this. XD
-
As a Cenobite main I hate that you're giving away our secrets. However, maybe if people actually learn counterplay we won't get nerfed again. XD
-
Pinhead, Pyramid Head, Demo are my main stable picks, in that order.

I've been told that it would be too OP on strong killers, but I don't buy that. It always felt to me like they were talking some Magical Christmasland scenarios where all your dreams come true.
If survs are going down that fast, gen regression is the least of their worries.
-
DH doesn't need the invincibility frames. And if it does, it should only be useable once per match.
-
Looks like SMITE has already enabled this feature for their EAC.
It's really that easy, BHVR. I bet you could get it done likity split.
-
It was supposed to be fixed
-
Cenobite. He's majestic and I enjoy having a secondary win objective.

I tried running the add on where chains more spawn whenever it breaks on a obstacle and it's still pretty underwhelming lol.
That add on, Impaling Wire, is fun and can be real useful or not useful at all. That's the issue with that add-on, unfortunately. Very cool, but also unreliable.

Yes please. He needs so much help now after they gutted him.
Distance add-ons are useless and should be changed to something else.
The solving time add-ons were hit way too hard. 1 second is useless. Up them to 2 and 3 respectively, if you want to keep it nerfed.
He needs to be able to do actions immediately after returning to first person. Why does breaking a pallet take so long after chaining someone?
Since they've made the box mad simple, change solving it to the yellow glyph mechanic, but maybe a little slower. Then we could have add-ons to increase the speed of it the checks.
I'm sure there are more things I'm forgetting right now. He is such an amazing killer, please don't gut him to uselessness.
-
@MandyTalk please bring this to the attention of the devs. Especially after these nerfs, which I think were overly aggressive, Pinhead needs some serious help.
Especially regarding that delay after returning to first person where Pinhead cannot perform actions such as breaking a pallet.
Ultimately, if you're going to nerf chain hunt, then his active power needs to be stronger and more rewarding. Whether that's in cooldown, or increasing the time to break chains, or letting him not break his own chains, or some combination thereof.
Also, the distance increasing add-ons make no sense, especially after this recent nerf.
-
Love it. Then they become like stationary traps.
Nem needs an overall interesting zombie buff.

I don't think I can force myself to throw a pallet on a dog, even if its a killer dog
What if that dog has a human intelligence that wants to tunnel, face camp and nod at you incessantly?
-
Is sloppy really still this good in a world of CoH?
-
Nice, I love this. More moodiness please
-
Thanks for chatting with us and shining some light on these concerns.
Would you be able and willing to speak a bit about primarily basing Killer MMR on kills rather than hooks/hook states?
It seems like the game ultimately wants killers to spread the attention and go for multiple hooks, but the MMR right now seems to reward camping and tunneling, interprets that as skill, and ups their MMR.
Would love to hear your thoughts. Thanks!
-
You're not going anywhere. Now play the game ya big baby.
-
They came for the Twins mains, and I didn't speak up, for I was not a Twins main.
