get the license back via Clive Barker. add new skins for the other two classic Cenobites, and if you're feeling spicy, the new Pinhead from Hulu.
-
fantastic, thank you!

I kind of think the point of not knowing is to prevent you from proxy camping just outside of that range. The perk is meant to encourage leaving the hook area entirely.the ignorance just isn't helpful. as a player i'd rather be able to make informed decisions around chases and when to trade the regression or lean into the regression.
we already have the self unhook bar for campers. no need to withhold info. -
WoO is incredibly overused and, after 10 years of perks, provides too much benefit. This is a welcome change.
-
are they moving all that lore content somewhere else?
-
loving the effort! very happy with this overall!
-
Monstrous Shrine: Please ensure the perk visually indicates when I'm within and outside the 24m radius. I have no idea how to judge that distance otherwise.
Thank you!
-
Agree. Just lose the dash and the glowing knife and we're good.
If you want to go further, give MM the "Haste when unseen" ability from 2v8, but i'm just spitballing. the key is lose the dash and go with Tuft style. the rest of the update is great.
-
Trapper is VERY feast or famine. i agree that he needs a few adjustments, but he can easily be made broken so have to be careful.
he's also quite difficult to play. takes a lot of game knowledge.
-
Acid Blood basekit.
don't @ me.

There are good things about this but at the same time there's issues like if there's 2 nemesis or weaker, survivors will get infected even more (and 8 zombies on the map but that's can be limited to 4 ig) and they will run out of the thing that removes the t-virus.
There's probably more examples like this.
i wouldn't do doubles of every killer. only ones that "make sense," from a lore perspective. like i listed in the OP.
-
My pie-in-the-sky desires:
- Make it literally impossible to tunnel survs out of the game
- Unify survivor items so i can use any skin with my stuff. This would require a total rework of the BP system, which is probably overdue. Most survs i don't play because i don't want to but in the BP to get stuff when i already have a Surv main and also want to invest BP into Killers.
-
sadly experiencing lots of stuttering/jutters in every match.
i can PLAY, but it occurs multiple times per match, sometimes at bad times

Address why killers feel the need to tunnel instead of removing tunneling. Outright removing it won't do anything but make things worse.
no matter what you try to address, as long as it's POSSIBLE, ppl will do it because it's always most efficient to outright remove a player.

I agree, but there should be restrictions to stop it getting out of hand.
Survivors should be immune to hook state gain twice in a row, but lose that protection if they perform a conspicuous action + when the exit gates are powered, and in addition post-unhook Endurance (but not Haste and Elusive) should be heavily scaled back to disencourage bodyblocking.
That said, though, making survivors immune to hook state gain does seem to be the healthiest way forward that I've seen in a long while, it doesn't have the issues that intangibility presents and doesn't seem like it can be abused if Endurance bodyblocking is removed.
It is if nothing else extremely worth testing.i concur with your assessment.
additionally, if needed, we could make it so if a Killer does tunnel the surv, they are put into the Entity Cage from 2v8. moved across the map, no hook state gain, no unhook notification. -

His targeting? The power works great in my experience what's wrong with the aiming?
it's very clunky, can't really micro adjust the aiming, it over-adjusts.
-
at the absolute very least, fix his targeting when the blade is in the ground.

i do feel like Torment on M2 hit would be a great idea. Makes him feel more rewarding.
i think for those of us that supported it when it was tested, we tried to convey that it IS great, but only fair if Cages don't notify else it will be abused. BHVR preferred to not go through with it, and i get it.
I think, with Judgment here now, it's worth revisiting.
-
Because you could only slug and not bring them closer to removing them from the game, i'd argue that is not an overall efficient use of the Killer's time. If needed, then give them basekit Unbreakable until another Surv is hooked.
The Killer option to slug them is mostly to prevent survs using it aggressively.

@pidgeon said:
Pyramid Head doesn't need any buffs as long as you actually hit your power, you can pair Iri seal with rust colored egg remove any downside of the seal. There is already an add-on when charging power that also works great with the seal. I wouldn't mind Torment on hit though, as now that Judgment exists so should it.
Torment on hit can never happen as long as Cages notify of unhook.

IRI SEAL BASEKIT? that would make him a bit too strong lol, veteran PH players would use that change to make him look extremely unhealthy, almost as bad as when he could insta M1 after canceling his M2
perhaps, but it would make him an interesting half-stealth Killer and adds so much more strategic utility to his Trails, which right now are pretty meh and mostly used for tunneling or mini-mori.
i'm in favor of more interesting kits.

Yeah, good job opening thread number 524 on this instead of using one of the existing threads. And no, the event doesnt make the game survivor sided. If you lose many games thats on you.
Absurdly survivor-sided, it's a joke. They deserve all the posts.
Whomever approved this should be fired.
I've stuck with DbD through rough times, but this is unacceptable. They didn't consider Killers at all. For such a big anniversary, unacceptable.
-
agreed. nerf Nurse and Blight, and buff the low tiers.
try to bring more toward the middle
-
Moris should not be skippable at all.
-
if you're hooked during EGC and the Killer leaves you, you should be EXTREMELY GRATEFUL that they are being so nice to you.
-
+1
also, the randomly moving snowmen should come back.
-
great thoughts! i'd certainly be more than happy to go along with your suggestions.
part of the reason i feel comfortable now asking for basekit Trap Sack was with the changes to the anti-camping meter. i know in PTB it made basement trapper impossible, but i don't actually know how it worked out on Live.
you're spot on with that mori suggestion! i concur!
lets get our boy some love!
-
I'm a Dredge main, and I approve this message.
Let Killers have fun again!
-
these are normal, after work hours for Central Europe.
well, i'm glad its over now because my queue is faster.
but you guys do whatever.

Yeah and then you should expect to have to wait for a match if you play in odd hours.
i don't "play at odd hours." what are you talking about? where are you fabricating that fantasy from? what exactly are you defending here? do you think BHVR needs you to defend them?
Killer queue time complaints are common and not just from me.
if you have nothing to contribute and don't know what you're talking about, save us all and just don't comment.

I’ve had instant queues in both. I don’t see the issue.
that will vary by time and location.
-
@Rokku_Rorru said:
Honestly the extra queue has been useful in people experiencing and giving feedback about it I imagine.
Like the people posting the pallet spawns and about how bright it is. Also I noticed the games really vibrant in general on some maps this patch, the lockers are like a neon orange etc on some maps, Sheva's top looks so much brighter in a saturated way now also. My gamma is on the default and I havn't had these issues since this patch.that's good to hear at least!
-
@Mandy said:
Queue times do not look to have been impacted by this, and both queues have a healthy amount of numbers. The map queue has also been pretty popular with players.
if you say so. Killer queues are just too long for me these days.
while i have you Mandy, can you speak to why there's no center gen achievement for Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria map? seems like an oversight?
-
agreed, why was it changed? he was scarier
-
i thought i commented on this already, but sure, they already had it. no reason they shouldn't have just given us both.
-
i enjoy survivor just fine. skill issue.
but they have players just sitting in lobby. that's a waste.
-
+1. good that you changed Original Pain. but it's too redundant with Greasy Lens now.
Take this ability and give it to Greasy Lens.
Make OP inflict Mangled and hemorrhage on break, as @sizzlingmario4 suggested.
-
yeah, i mean, it already exists, right? why not just have both?

Even in the 3-gen meta killers tunneled, people don’t tunnel because they’re losing they do it because it’s literally the best strategy. No amount of gen regression will change that.
indeed. and it always will be, unless it's literally taken away from the players as an option.
-
Slippery slope fallacy. most of that isn't involved in this conversation at all.
there's be an issue with sabo squads, yes. who, at this point, are only countered by slugging.
if the devs are dead set on making this NOT happen, i don't see any other way than to force the players to not do it.
otherwise, all they can do is try to educate the survivor player base on how to deal with these things.
-
.

Keep unhook notifications. That doesn't mean they need to be accurate to where the unhooked survivor is.
Moving hooks can also be abused to proxy then contest and relocate the survivor, eating away at more sacrifice time and possibly hitting the next stage, since usually they're relocated cross-map (I've done this with PHead cages a few times). Sometimes there's another survivor over there ready for the save, sometimes not.
Making it another automatic system limits player interaction and becomes something to blame as an integral part of the game instead of any human error.
just keep it in the UI. the ONLY reason to notify me is so i can go back. that's it.

I mean they could’ve just learned we didn’t like these changes the first time round and just focused on a new chapter instead
an operation health chapter where no actual changes get done and the company back tracks on everything with the game being as buggy as ever must genuinely be so embarrassing for them it’s 9 years old
i'm just used to it at this point. XD
-
lol no
-
i'd prefer they do nothing than do something bad

I’ve recently noticed a strategy where killers place traps practically on top of the pallets. Do you think it feels like a fair strategy? Feels somewhat cheap to me.
if you recently noticed this, then it means you're learning to play the game.
when playing against the Trapper, you must always watch your feet, especially in areas that you usually feel are safe.

You clearly don't know this community well enough then, if you've deluded yourself into thinking that people won't push for all of the killers to be played by both killer players.
But hey, keep fooling yourself into thinking people won't push for maximum variety.
it took BHVR years to give trapper like, one more trap. we'll be ok. XD

Doesn't matter if you want it for lore accurate cases only.
Fact of the matter is, by even making it a thing in the first place, you give people a justification to be pushing for more than just lore accurate cases to double up.
There is no reason to assume it won't happen, because it will and bhvr will eventually relent, like they always do when there is enough demand for something.
Slippery slope fallacy. Your conclusion is not necessitated to follow.
-
@Smoe said:
No.
You allow some Killers to double up, you'll be opening up the flood gate for all Killers to double up.
no , lore accurate cases only. they can deal with it.

yeah, especially their original Killers.
