That's on you but the other times are frame perfect in areas that there is no need to DH....besides if your not in hitting distance the Killer won't try to swing at you and get slowed down.
no I mean that they do end up swinging but miss entirely, and I still press E.

if you know someone is scripting dead hard just make a stupid lunge away from any pallets or windows and they'll do it involuntarily
Is no one gonna point out the fact that this is not a sure way of figuring out if someone has auto dead hard? I've had multiple times where the killer isn't within hitting distance, and I still instinctively press E. No offense to otz for coming up with this thing, but this doesn't make sure of anything.

why should basekit bt be off in end game? so if you chase me for 2000 years and you finally catch me in end game, you should be able to hit me right after I get unhooked?
do you really need that 1 kill so bad?

Blastmine should disable Pop Goes the Weasel and preserve WireTap.

Plague is fun, but I played spirit more. Plague is unique but spirit's gameplay is way more unique and fun. Something about relying on sound instead of vision is just such a good concept.
Plus spirit fury with enduring is one of the most fun as well as strong combos.

Im 100% its not about you. Maybe you looped well, for some killers this alredy is an insult. It has the same energy as the survivor rulebook, it basicly means "you better let me win next time, take this as a lesson!!" or they had a real toxic swf before and now are venting in the following up rounds.
Either way, if you have done not BM at all then its not something personal, its a shame they do it to you when you play normal like a sane person but apearantly they got salty over something. doesnt mean you have done something wrong and you should not consider to cather to killers at all, play how you want, if they waste time by hitting you on hook 20 times then they just give other survivors some free seconds.
That's what I thought, I can loop people decently. But my brother also loops really well, but he doesn't get hit on hook as often (last time was like months ago). I'm just so perplexed on the fact that I get BM'd so often, but my brother does basically the exact same things I do, but doesn't get BM'd.
-
@Veinslay said:
Maybe you're doing something that killers hate that you don't think is BM, like running directly at the killer with your OTR to bodyblock for your friend or something
I don't have OTR, and sometimes this even happens after first hook, like for example against this myers with tier 3 after I looped him for a while. I don't body block with BT either way.

Solid killer performance.
*solidarity nod*
I get potato or sandbaggy (ie, obviously going for the hatch challenge and playing poorly towards the end of an easy trial) about 25% of the time. I don't know if it's MMR, Luck, or a combination of the two, but a good portion of my games are winnable/mine to lose.
I'm interested to see how the new changes play out because I'm 100% certain that the game will not shift in the direction people are hoping it will.
It's either I'm getting chased for minutes and barely any/no gens get done, or I'm trying to be a gen jockey and my teammates get downed in less than 15-20 seconds. I'm just praying that I finally get matched up with people who can at least know to do gens while they're not in chase.
Yeah I'm just waiting for how it looks on the PTB. Though I don't expect much good from 22.5 second unlimited self pickups.

Not really, it has way too much counterplay now, so why run it when you can run a better combo that does't rely on people being distracted/bad at the game?
though it has no counterplay if your teammates aren't knowledgeable enough and won't let go of the gen with you

Resident Evil chapters (I'm a sucker for RE), Silent Hill chapter, and Stranger Things chapter.
Least favorite is the chapter with the artist. I don't even know the name of it. Had cool killer perks though I guess.

That's right, those aren't the major influencers.. The major influencer is the ~10 second increase per each generator, ineffective Decisive Strike, and .. the requirement to properly time Dead Hard to have its effect, you know.
If those extra few seconds per each chase with Dead Hard' dash pre-rework were such a huge difference, then I'd assume that combining faster vaulting, destroying pallets, damaging generators, and successful attack recoveries could make such a huge difference aswell.
I do refuse to believe that it's because of survivors sacrificing each other on hook, although that's exactly what I do recall experiencing; Not necessarily sacrificing themselves on the hook, but rather giving up and offering themselves to the killer to get hooked over'n'ver, which is even worse than sacrificing on the hook, as that requires at least one survivor to leave generator repairs and unhook the griefer, who only offers himself or herself to the killer, effectively wasting one of the survivors' time.
That alone, plus a huge influx of tunneling and slugging have had such effects.. Given how weak will slugging become, tunneling will only get worse. Well, at least, we'll see killers crying about ~3 second stun per each hook.. I don't like this at all.
Yeah, I'd say the extra 10 seconds per generator helps tunnelers a lot. As well as most people running OTR, which you can easily negate by hitting them right after they get unhooked.
Ok it's a bit disingenuous to say dead hard only added "those extra few seconds per each chase." Some chases would last for 30+ seconds just because they reached a super safe pallet or window. Only time it'd buy someone "extra few seconds" is if they didn't use it for distance.
I do think people giving up on hook was part of the problem. I mean the fact that it was so widely talked about both from normal players as well as streamers/content creators says enough. I'd honestly say it at least influenced 3% of the rate.
I think basekit UB is fine imo, 45 seconds is long. It shouldn't go to 22.5 seconds with UB though.

Wonder what the stack conversion is counting the decreased hit burst speed (probably 2.5/3).
Admittedly, I find it hard to really become emotive during these discussions as I don't really struggle at all on either side.
I don't struggle at all at killer (I only got 3k's and 4k's last night) but I think it's laughable to see people say the basekit 2 stacks of STBFL are making a difference.
Also how are you not struggling at solo q, I've been looping killers for 2000 years but instead of doing the last gen my teammates are walking in circles doing some ritual.

have you looked at the win% for killer at the moment .... and the win% of survivors (which also takes into consideration SWF).... pretty much proves that you're just whining ?
Pretty sure it's because of the influx of tunnelers, as well as people ending themselves on hook. 2 stacks of SBTFL and 10% extra kicking speed doesn't really help with those.
-
@Raccoon said:
Technically, killers have Brutal Strength Tier 1 and 2 permanent stacks of STBFL.

Thats because survivors have had meta perks for years. For instance why would anyone ever take off an exhaustion perk besides to handicap themselves. You'd be hard pressed to find more than a few survivor perks that aren't at least a benefit. Meanwhile killer has 6 good perks maybe?
and so have killers? We had ruin, pop, undying, bbq, starstruck, thrilling tremors. The list goes on. Stop acting like killer perks have been doodoo water for years. We've also had strong perks.
6 perks? Right now we got Pain Res, Surge, Eruption, Overcharge, CoB, Devour Hope, Undying, Pentimento, Deadlock, Hex: Plaything, Floods of Rage, STBFL, Starstruck, and more.

Because you currently have 0 downside for slugging. It doesn't require you to have a perk to keep a survivor on the floor as long as you want.
Now it's 45 seconds.
? if you slug the entire time, you're not securing hook states. Gaining hook states is essential for late game. Getting kills via hooks is much more quicker than making someone bleed to death. It's 4 minutes total to make someone bleed to death, and that's only if they're constantly bleeding out without any interruptions. Slugging is only good in certain situations, such as finding a survivor near a survivor you just downed. Unless you're nurse, then I guess it doesn't matter what circumstances you're in.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
It's also misinformation to say this update is making Unbreakable basekit because UB currently takes just 24 seconds while this update is 45 seconds (and will almost certainly be nerfed, let's be real here). But that's not stopping nearly every person on this forum from saying it, including you.
I think we all say that because it's easier to say. The same way we call the endurance from hook "basekit BT", despite it only having 10 seconds, as well as giving 10 seconds of 10% haste. We just say it because it's easier than saying "basekit self pickup", or "basekit endurance and haste"

Its gives you an advantage so why should it not be a perk?
basekit unbreakable gives you an advantage so why wasn't it kept as a perk?

@Mr_K said:
This is nearly at the same level as not requiring timing for flashlight and pallet saves.
Im hoping they'll change this, as much as I'd enjoy 22.5 second infinite unbreakables, I'm sure it'll be pure torture as killer, or especially when I play oni.

If you are playing against survivors who don't pick up a slugged teammate before 45 seconds is up then you don't need to be slugging them at all because they aren't very good.
Good to know that's how you play your nurse, though.
I don't see how it's "good to know" other than the fact that you want to shame him about it next time you see him or something.
These forums lol.
-
Devour Hope is fine, but you're susceptible to DS (lol), Sabos, Bodyblocks, and Flashlight blinds.
Rancor just got gutted though lol.
-
it's beautiful
it's even more beautiful when you see them running healing perks/builds on the end game screen.
-
Okay I got scared that overall survivors will be able to pick themselves up at any point in the game. But if it's just end game, then I don't mind. I just got specifically scared that oni was dead lol.
Edit: Wait a second...

I like most of the Iridescent outfits already. OP is down talking Baba Yaga while I’m over here thinking BY should be the standard.
Krampus and Blight’s Greek Outfit are incredibly detailed. I would like more of those. So idk if I agree that they’re bad or need improvement so much as I wish for more options.
It might just come down to matters of taste which reverts back to what Regulus said. “Don’t buy.”
Disagree with the "don't buy" idea. There's nothing wrong with improving skins. I don't think it'd require so much effort to add a custom chase theme at least. With hunk's skin, there's not custom terror radius theme, as well as no different voice, AS well as no different chase theme. I'm tired of the "don't like it don't get it" idea, that's just tossing out improvements to skins you might already like. There's nothing wrong with asking for simple improvements like a different voice for the hunk skin, Behavior isn't a small indie dev company. They're raking in millions of dollars of cash from this game. This isn't too much to ask.
By this logic, no game should have improvements to make the game feel better, because if you "don't like it, then don't buy it." No one is forcing you to buy dead by daylight, so if you don't like the balance changes, you don't have to get it. I understand if it's a super absurd request, but asking a custom chase theme and a different voice to a 15 dollar skin that a multi million dollar company with over 900 employees made isn't absurd.

If you read the first sentence in the original post and then the response you’re quoting, the logic adds up quickly.
??? Why does that matter though, he's asking for ultra rare/legendary skins to be better. Do you not want them to be better?

Or base-kit BT should make you lose collision. So with this way, they can't take protection hit and plus you are not losing your OTR effect.
sounds like a good idea then
-
@Regulus47 said:
...or you could just not buy them?
I think they're a cool idea. Let people enjoy things.
what is this logic
It's not like he's advocating for them to be removed. He wants them to be better. Would you not want the current skins you have to be better? Are you just being a contrarian for no reason whatsoever?
-
They should make basekit BT or OTR have the same effect as MoM, where it gives you "endurance" but it doesn't put you in deep wounds. Although I'm scared some dude will take like 2 protection hits for the unhooker.
