I dont see survivors ask for basekit Hope, basekit OTR, basekit auto DH.
But I see killers ask for
- basekit Bamboozle
- basekit Noed
- basekit Crowncontrol
- basekit Corrupted intervention
- basekit Ruin
- survivor should die on first hook
- kill 2 survivors and Enity kill the other 2
- 120sec Gen
while they already have
- basekit 2 stack of STBFL
- basekit Tier1 Brutal strength
- basekit 10% PGTW
- 50sec Gen
This has to be sarcasm, the only thing I sometimes see them asking is basekit corrupt intervention. If someone is asking for people to die on their first hook, they're being sarcastic. Either way, the people who're asking these things don't represent the general killer community. One guy saying he wants basekit dead hard isn't representative of the general survivor community.
And the "basekit perks" you mentioned that killers have are so laughably weak (I'm not sure what you mean by 50sec gen). Tier 1 Brutal Strength isn't gonna do anything, and the only time the basekit 2 stacks of STBFL help is when you actually have STBFL equipped.

Agreed, I got tunneled and face-camped out of a game even with the built in Borrowed Time, Sprint Burst and someone spamming Reassurance on me. DS is the only decent way to stop tunneling.
Scott Jund had a good suggestion, give DS 7 tokens, each time a gen is completed, remove a token. For each token DS has, it gives you 1 second of stun.
Now you would say that 7 seconds of stun is excessive. However, if a killer has hooked you, downed you and going to hook you again while 5 gens are left, then 7 seconds is definitely not excessive in that situation. At 4 gens, you have a 6 sec stun, 3 gens 5 sec stun, 2 gens 4 sec stun and 1 gen 3 sec stun.
That wasn't Scott's suggestion, that was someone on the subreddit.

I mean full swf pre 6.1.0 with those builds vs 2 good perks and 2 strong add-ons. And the reason I made this post wasn't because of that, it's because they were all hovering around me trying to "bully" me even though they know I got alch ring. And imo with those build's and the way they were playing you would think they would want to have the fun slug only chase game, because they were most definitely not trying to do gens. Also if they were trying to win they would be stacking medkits/toolbox's not flash lights. They went in with the intent to completely destroy some poor wraith or m1 killer not sweat for the win.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3226047#Comment_3226047
Nope, Groaning store house. Which I would say is a pretty good survivor map. Game probably was at 4 min when they dcd
god macro flashlights is one of the most annoying shits in the game to ever exist, glad it's gone now.

you can carry a vaccine spray unless the wesker also has franklin demise. you can often drop a strong pallet then spray yourself as the killer breaks the pallet. for example, coldwind farm has the cow loop. drop cow loop pallet then spray yourself.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3227176#Comment_3227176
nothing really needs to change, just survivors need to adapt to the ability.
- Spraying takes a long while, and progress doesn't carry over.
- If you do somehow get sprayed near a pallet, you'll make 0 distance afterwards, so you'll just get downed lmao.
- "AdApT" lol

I completely forgot we can use blighted serums again, yessss

Thrill being a hex is a good thing
Even in the absolute worst case scenario hex thrill will eat up more of the survivors time then a nom-hex thrill could.
And even if that wasn't the case thrill was always a hex. Kinda a irrelevant point to bring up if it could be cleansed for both versions
difference was before it at least had the power of notifying you if your hexes were touched. It doesn't have that anymore, making it not worth a hex as much as before.
So yes, it's relevant to bring it up, contrary to what you believe.

They didn't butcher it, Thrill is a much better perk then it was before.
The amount of time survivors need to spend to cleanse/boon a totem with Thrill active is huge. Especially if you can interrupt then with things like infectious.
It takes close to a minute to boon a hex with thrill active
It's probably one of the most slept on killer perks in the game
until you realize that thrill itself can get cleansed

The need to tunnel is a skill issue and most if not all killers have the utilities they need not to tunnel . I play killer and don't tunnel and I do just fine or did just fine (before the changes)
How the hell did you do good before the changes? Mf everyone kept dead harding to a good pallet. I drop chase because some dude dead hards to a god pallet, and the next person I chase ALSO has dead hard and extends chase. Should I have just moved faster? What kinda games were you playing??

"I don't need to rationalize anything, the only one trying to making it seem like some taboo is you right now." Every post you have made in this thread so far has been about rationalizing quitting.
Here are some examples... cut and paste quotes from your posts
There's a huge difference between the first person DCing and the second person DCing. The first person makes it a round from winnable to unwinnable. A second person DCing because of someone else DCing doesn't change the outcome.
Im DCing because I know it's not worth my time to play a game where I will for sure lose.
I don't have an infinite amount of time to play video games like you do, I have college work I need to do, which takes a sizable portion of my time. And no, I'm not going to waste my time trying to go for the off chance that I eventually do get hatch.
Rationalize - attempt to explain or justify one's own or another's behaviour or attitude with logical or plausible reasons, even if not true or appropriate. (open that dictionary again).
If you are in college maybe its not too late to get a refund on your degree.
I'm not trying to rationalize, I'm trying to change your mind. If you don't want your mind changed whatsoever, then I suppose there's no point to responding to you. There was no point in arguing if you didn't want your opinions changed.
Not everyone arguing with you is trying to rationalize themselves because they're insecure. I argue with people so I can change their opinions, not so I can rationalize myself. I don't delete all the -reps on my profile or argue with them because I know it's a waste of time to change their minds, since most of those messages are built on rage. The reason I argued with you was because I actually have faith in forum users, as opposed to some dude who came to my profile because he was angry at me.
Seems I was mistaken though, your large ass ego doesn't do you, as well as me, any good. You didn't even ever respond to the point where I have limited time because of college. Instead you just used it to get some petty insult against me. That's enough for me to realize that this was a huge waste of time. Good luck with your future arguments I guess.

Ok so you don't quit because you are raging you quit because you think you can't win. That is basically what your wrote.
So you're not literally raging, as per the definition of the word rage, but you are still quitting because you feel it's unwinnable, that's reason enough for you to just quit and call it un-fun.
If you want to define it literally (be ready to open that dictionary again), defeatism would be the term you are looking for.
So you "defeatist quit", rather than "rage quit", you give up if you feel you can't win. People would probably agree that isn't too far removed from a "rage quit" when you think about it.
It just comes from a place of cynicism about game outcome rather than rage.
(Also negativism, pessimism, lack of confidence, all synonyms for defeatism choose which one you like best, I list them because I ######### love dictionaries and thesauruses and don't really need to open one right now to look this up having read and understood them in advance).
The point could still be made that "defeatist quitting" is just as silly as "rage quitting" and another example of just quitting when you don't get what you want from the game.
I feel I can't win so I quit, in a single player game sure but in a multiplayer game... er not a great attitude to have, no matter how you want to rationalise it to yourself.
you quite literally quoted what I just said, “How am I rage quitting? I’m DCing because it’s not worth my time to play a game where I’ll for sure lose."
Defeatism, sure. If you want to look at things black and white and ignore any context whatsoever, yeah I am quitting because I'm losing. I'm losing because someone else, out of my control, whether or not I am skillful, decided to quit the game, thus putting me in a losing situation, despite whether or not I played/would've played well that game.
Why does it bother you so much that someone else DCs when the first person DCs early? Why don't you direct that frustration towards them instead of us?
You love just grouping things together, and disregarding any form of context whatsoever.

“How am I rage quitting? I’m DCing because it’s not worth my time to play a game where I’ll for sure lose”
That’s some next level self awareness there.
You rationalise your own quitting anyway you need to.
Just wow 🤣
Keep getting off to stroking your own fat ego by shaming other's decisions when you can't even open up a ######### dictionary.
I don't need to rationalize anything, the only one trying to making it seem like some taboo is you right now.

Lol this is a great example of what I’m talking about.
DBD isn’t a metric for emotional maturity but people’s opinions on this forum really can be as it often telegraphs their ability to deal with loss or disappointment. Spoiler… most seem like they can’t.
The fact you immediately find it unfun if the game becomes a less than ideal scenario and are immediately unwilling to participate anymore says a lot.
Rage quitting in response to someone else’s rage quitting is still just rage quitting.
The times I’ve hatched out and even opened an exit gate and escaped after the killer closed the hatch have been some of the most rewarding wins yet. I always try for it because dbd is a game about desperate escapes and that’s fun.
You should try it sometime rather than just quitting because someone else did.
How am I rage quitting? Im DCing because I know it's not worth my time to play a game where I will for sure lose. Rage quitting is leaving the game out of frustration and anger. I'm not clenching my teeth every time I DC, stop reaching so hard.
I don't have an infinite amount of time to play video games like you do, I have college work I need to do, which takes a sizable portion of my time. And no, I'm not going to waste my time trying to go for the off chance that I eventually do get hatch.
Why don't you just respect other people's decisions and ways of doing things, instead of implying people aren't "grown ups" if they do decide to leave a losing battle. I really don't give a flying ######### if you don't dc when someone else does, I don't know if you're trying to pat yourself on the back by actively mocking people who don't decide to waste their time.

@LapisInfernalis said:
First: maybe use OTR. The fact alone that you are silent stops most killers from going after you once they realise you have the perk. I also found SB to be very helpful to combat tunneling.
Not going to lie, 3s DS sucks. If you are anything with range or speed, you don't care. And even if you are Trapper, it's not a bad thing.
It's somehow funny that fist DS was 5s because Enduring effected it, then after that got removed, they nerfed to 3s because "it was enough" before realising that survivors don't get away in that time because of stagger when they get free. So they put it again to 5s ony to nerf it back to 3s.
Sometimes I wonder if the Devs read their own patch notes. 🙄
OTR is garbage, killers just insta hit you off hook now.

@pseudechis said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3223538#Comment_3223538
Or you could continue to play and enjoy a game of DBD even if you don’t escape because of an early dc.
You know, like a grown up might do.
So we're supposed to endure a horrible game with a certain outcome because of someone else's selfishness? This isn't a show on whether or not you're a grownup. If you try to use Dead By Daylight as a metric on whether or not you're a grownup, take a big step back and try re-evaluating some of your life decisions.
There's a huge difference between the first person DCing and the second person DCing. The first person makes it a round from winnable to unwinnable. A second person DCing because of someone else DCing doesn't change the outcome.

Just make the Endurance effect last as long as it's duration. Makes the killer have to work for the tunnel and definitely would prevent it. If a survivor can take multiple hits, then what point does the killer have to tunnel, cause he's just letting gens get done otherwise.
you don't get it, killers will just hit you immediately off hook, it's been happening to me.

It's fine to vent, and yes the bully squads are a bit of a disease on this game. It would be nice if BHVR did a little more, although it's not as easy sometimes to differentiate between perceived bullying , or a tactic to distract the killer. It's tough to call.
The looping and spinning isn't a part of what I'd deem bullying, but it can be tough to counter. As beginner tips, if a survivor tries to do the 360, spinny thing, either move with them, or stand still and hit. That can be a good way to combat it.
Otherwise, you can find videos on YouTube which can offer tips. But the best thing is, if you face this in-game, slow down and give yourself space to breathe. Bully squads rely on confusing the killer. Keep cool, and you'll start to spot patterns and weaknesses.
Until there is something BHVR put in place, or can do, treat those games as training and keep cool. See them as sparring npc characters to improve your game, regardless of the outcome. Disassociate, if possible - they aren't worth your time.
It's not a matter of them being hard, they're honestly about the same difficulty level of baby dwights. The problem is to me, they're absolutely boring and feel like a chore to go against. Maybe it's fun, but I find hitting people 2000 times with no looping involved extremely boring.

Why is camping and tunneling ridiculous at 5 gens specifically? Can somebody explain that to me?
It's been an unwritten code for a while now that tunneling or camping at 5 gens is shameful, since you're just guaranteeing yourself a win by getting a kill super early, which is unfun.
Personally I just play for 12 hooks at first, and if I start to lose because of it, I soft tunnel. No, I don't do this for the survivor's fun, I do it for my fun. I try to avoid tunneling most of the time because it's boring for me, not because it's boring for them. Of course I'll still do it towards the end if I need to comeback. I don't really shame those who do decide to tunnel at 5 gens though. It's going to bite you in the back though when you reach a higher mmr, and you have no idea how to loop.

I can't believe some people are implying there should be a pinhead nerf. His chains are useless most of the time (unless you run that one purple chain breaking addon), and the only thing he has going for him is his chain hunt. The idea of using hoarder to stop someone from using the box only works on smaller maps, most maps won't let you stop someone that easily, so people end up just teleporting to you instead.
Just do the box, stop expecting someone else to do it. Holding the box helps 3 other teammates, and solving it can help a teammate if you want to get a pinhead's aggro, making them teleport to you. His iri addon got crapped on already, I don't think he needs anymore nerfs. There's more pressing problems than pinhead lmfao

Please stop being bad at the game. I get you somehow think you are super cool and great at the game because you have a flashlight, but that flashlight doesn't give you much of a benefit. I mean, I can literally still hear you running away, I just follow the sounds. That sweet flashlight blind is doing you pretty much zip, you'd be better off trying to gain ground.
I am serious, I don't know whats wrong with you people. I am literally playing Hillbilly on Lery's, the game is already in your favor just based on RNG. Just stay away from me. DON'T come and crowd up around him trying to go for the flashlight save. Don't bodyblock and take hits. Super cool dude! You guys took 2 hits and the dude got off my shoulder, guess what? You just took 2 downs and 2 hooks gaining that save, you didn't do jack.
I think I've finally figured out why everyone cries so much about the Survivor experience. It's literally because you suck at this game. STOP. GETTING. CAUGHT. It's literally the name of the game. You wanna loop me? Great, do that, WHEN I CATCH YOU. Loop me for 5 gens, AFTER I catch you. Until that time, hide, sneak, and stay hidden. Getting caught, ESPECIALLY when I have an insta-down power.
I will NEVER listen to another whiny Survivor cry about how unfair this is, as long as I have idiots running right into me when I'm holding a chainsaw. I won't. Cry me more rivers to float down.
