The devs allow cheaters.
They put the burden on reporters.
Of course this game will die lol.

he4ling is detrimental for killers :(
tunneling is a valid strat :)

Not surprising. Potential new players deserve to know what they're getting into. That the devs are basically chickens without heads that happened to strike oil in 2016 and have been Mr. Bean-ing their way through one self imposed disaster to the next for 7 years.
OMG this made me laugh. Sad but true!

We’ve been saying DBD was dying for half a decade now.
Uh no...
The only time I saw this was the exhaustion rework July 2018 (i was a baby DBDer) and then again in August 2022.
Every other time was people crying about end game, the Pig (which is now an official meme so GG KiLLaH MaiNz), etc.

Wow a perk combo that will never work in a legit game 😱😱😱
! ! !
They grasp at strawmen & use unrealistic scenarios to justify every little thing.

Death garden was a whole different game and comparing them this way is useless
Sure survivor got a bunch of nerfs but so did killer. Gen kick meta is gone and PR is hurt a lot
All these changes will do is make the S tier killers much better while the M1’s stay relatively the same if not worse due to the meta adjustments
Passive gen regression from perks =/= basekit healing.

*grabs popcorn*
Anyone capping in the replies wanna come back to further embarrass themselves?
I'll be bumping this thread right as the player count drops and BHVR is throwing out Bloodhunts and XP bonuses like it's a parade.
-
This game doesn't ban people who hack it to get Legacy?
I reported a hacked legacy player.
"Sandra" from the response team asked me for my player ID??
Why aren't they combing through this players account to find out they prestiged 3 9/19/16 but somehow have ALL their characters p3??

Tofu was always overdramatic but here he is just over overdramatic. I will slap on Inner Healing and Bond they were always good and slam gens now that COB and Pain will be dead. Us solos are still in a lot better place now with all the gen infos. Some just likes to complain and can't see both sides of things. Both killers and survivors got buffs and nerfs, and both sides are complaining lol
You will run Nancy's perk along with the 4 other survivors.
Have fun wasting a perk slot.

These devs destroyed DbD, especially for the low level solo survivors. Strong survivors they know how to deal being injured. Low MMR survivors don't.
Low-mid MMR Killers will ABSOLUTELY dominate the matches because those survivors won't do any gens when they're injured. The result is unnecessary boring long matches because no one will do gens and killer win is guaranteed slowly but surely. Idk what the devs thinking with those harsh healing changes.
Amen.

"This pattern of over-nerfing meta perks into uselessness is not healthy for the game."
Can someone ping this line to the e-mail inbox of the game designers for this soon to be dead game?

All this does is make the meta back to 'run adrenaline, genrush like mad'. I, for one, will just stop playing. I've given this company hundreds of dollars over the last four years or so, hell I just spent like $35 to get 3 of the new skins from Wednesday. This goes live? I'll immediately uninstall and not look back.
The Skull Merchant chapter PTB is where I put on the brakes.
Enough is enough. TBH, I've been better at not playing DbD. Never in my 5 years (started June 2018) did I think I could not enjoy this game... but everything since Wesker... oh boy!

Stop the cap ight don't be mad when survivors start stacking and popping guns faster than you can do anything.
It's gonna go back to the body blocking flashlight Sabo meta
on god.
i cant wait for me and my SWF to punish these free lunch eating Killers who bring gen slowdowns + thana + sloppy.

stop plugging your username.
i bet this is scott fried hair on a smurf account. sick of it.

It wasnt a good concept - the killer, the survivors. It was top tier cringe, closely followed by the Ring knock off Spirit and Legion.

Typical DbD killer players.

I actually can't imagine playing for a 3 gen perma and dropping chase if 15 feet away from any gen in the 3 gen. A bot could pull of that game play and it's just as boring as playing vs bots.
It's very apparent that players who mostly play Killer only desire to end the game as fast as possible <OR> make it as "unfun" for Survivor players <OR> a combo of both.
I regularly run into toxic killers.
I rarely run into bully squads.

Apparently it's more killer doing their job meta that sucks. Killers should be walking clowns who only scare people but never harm anyone at all.
By this logic, the exit gates should be powered by God tier loopers who never touch a gen.
Give me a break.

Because it was so bad!! 😂 you could literally dash THROUGH a survivor’s body and not register a grab.
Now you might as well put Wesker in a semi truck cuz that's how big his hitbox is.

You guys said the game was dying 5 years ago, 4 years ago, 3 years ago, 2 years ago and 1 year ago.
This game won’t die any time soon.
Heh.
Been playing for 5 years now. First time I'm not impressed. All Kill was shakey, but I liked it.
This is absolutely the worst. Worse that rollerskating Legion update.
-
I am not interested in this at all. Since this chapter's announcement, I've played less and less knowing the nonsense this chapter (aesthetics & gameplay) would bring.
First Kris Jenner match, she 3 gen'd...lol.
-
His hitbox should have NEVER been buffed. They buffed that thing 1 week after release FOR WHAT REASON?
-
Need to be BP bonuses for Killers not being played in your MMR.
Encourages a variety without PuNiShiNg KiLLeRs
-
make the gas/toolboxes mandatory.
reduce gen times.
holding m1 is so irking @ this point.

You don't have to say a thing to say a thing. You're not a dummy. You understand subtext and allusion.
If you increase the queue times of killers survivors don't like, not even implicitly, even if it is just a natural occurrence of the system, those player are tacitly being punished. If you give a BP bonus to killers that you like playing against you're punishing those people who like the killers you don't like by leaving them out of that system.
All for what? Because you and people like you should have an influence on who plays what. Why do you think you're special? Why do you think you should get a say in that, even unintentionally? It's the height of entitlement. People can do as they please and you cannot do anything about it. Rightfully so.
nice use of italics.
you say i'm not a dummy but then continue a barrage of why i'm a dummy.
there's 39 killers (oh wait, is that survivors?)... BHVR needs to reign in their superfluous roster and bloated DLC.
until then, players like me have a right to request that we eliminate toxic situations that arise out of FLAVOR OF THE MONTH stuff BHVR thinks is important.
not gonna keep repeating myself.

tools of torment is a good time for a break.

@Defend said:
There's been a few suggestions going around similar to this, usually it's an suggestion to deincentivize popular or strong killers such as Blight or Nurse (even after the nerfs) with either long queue times or an option just to not play against them at all. There's a few reasons why this is a bad idea and it usually boils down to two things:
A change in the skill level of players per match:
- If strong killers were de-incentivized then survivors in high MMR will have to play with an killer that has a gap in both skill level and MMR (the longer a person waits, the more the game will attempt to connect with someone more and more away from your MMR), This would result in killers who are less experienced pairing up with more experienced surivors, which is usually unfavorable. On the other side, due to the extended queue time killers will see a higher gap in the skill level of the individual survivor. Blights might face against a pretty good survivor, or a survivor that is a few hundred hours in the game. In general it causes a big disruption on the balance of the game.
People shouldn't be punished for playing what they enjoy:
- Most people already explained this already, if its an issue of the killer itself (via their power), then you should focus on that rather than making the killer role less fun to play. This game revolve around both the role of the killer and the survivor, without killers there would be no survivors, and vise versa. It's best to suggest around the individual killer or perks, than the roster as a whole.
The bloodpoint incentive is a great idea for a multitude of reason. It incentives playing less-desired killers which helps BHVR gain more data on what to improve on, and allows for the transition of players who play more popular/strong killers to maybe try some killers that are less played. Although, similar to de-incentivizing, you might see more experienced survivors go against less experienced killers if the changed went through, but it wouldn't be as impactful as longer queue times.
You are making bad faith arguments when you say that I want players to be punished. I never said that.

DH was disgusting in every skill level. DH for distance was the easiest and most unfair thing imaginable. New DH has higher payoff, the same awful counterplay and is prevalent in every game again. However, the nerf to DH was a step in the right direction.
How?
They both let you negate a hit?
Both get can get you to a pallet and continue the loopz.
-
The new Dead Hard is worse than the previous version.
The new one gives you another health state, so long as you aren't already in mending status.
The low skill Killer players should have just shut up, cuz the devs made DH more annoying than it originally was.

ever played world of tanks? or world of warships?
there's a queue classification thingy that shows you how many of each tank/ship are in the queue at the time you join queue.
so like...
what if killers... since they're locked in once queues start anyway... were like that?
idk. just a thought.
i think it would be interesting to see how many little white/black outline meyers and sadako faces would show up compared to nurse and billy or whatever.
Thank you!
This is what I'm talking about and DbD needs to do this since the devs believe pumping out 4 chapters a year is now necessary 7 years after the games release.
-
Quit putting words in my mouth.
"Punish"
I never never ever said that.
You are all excellent gaslighters.
Just because some players have standards doesn't mean they don't know any better.
Did any of you play L4D2?
That games public system was a nightmare. No point to play, so everyone between Casual & Comp (confogl) played on realism vs groups. Those groups only got games going from 7pm EST to 11pm EST... 4 hour window was the only time you could play VS. However, it was better than any pub match all day.
-
Twins being Chucky & Tiffany makes way more sense.
I seriously can't wait!
-
It's not either side's fault. It's the devs fault.
It's the devs and their unwillingness to try new things.
Instead, big wigs only care about their DLC sales and make promises that take 2 years to implement.
Things like Fire Up need to be basekit if a Killer is a been spanked.
Repair, healing, action speeds need to increase if a Killer is decimating the survivors with 6 hooks accomplished but 5 gens still up.
-
@appleas said:
Pretty amusing that one year ago, it would take 10 minutes average to get into a game as survivor. Devs changed matchmaking logic, buffed Killers and introduced incentives in the hopes of improving queue times.
Now we have people asking for longer queue times and are willing to queue longer themselves. The grass is always greener on the other side.
you act like players should have to constantly face killers they don't enjoy.
somehow that makes them "stupid" in your opinion.
until the devs address the health of the game, they should offer this as a bandaid fix like they do all their DLC perks. bandaids instead of addressing core issues. :)
-
@FMG15 said:
This community really is willing to torture themselves with longer queue times. Just FYI: If they have to wait longer to find a game then you have to as well. All your change does is to increase queue times artificially which doesn't make sense.
I would rather wait 10 minutes than to play 5 back to back games with Wesker.
I said what I said. Stop gaslighting me cuz you don't agree.

If this is the first time you've heard anyone gripe about design, you must've been on vacation for All-Kill or something lol
He's the only that's gotten hate tho.
Since Kpop-Prince, it's been...
Nemmy
Pinhead
Crow Lady
Ring girl
Dredge
Wesker
Knight...
I'm not sure where the cold feedback for any of those Killers... except that there are no crows in Argentina LOL!

This would also let them more on QoL which DbD has been in need of for years.
The Survivor Actions implementation has been the best thing since cross-play.
-
Ive been playing since Clown.
This is the first time I've heard anyone gripe about the design.
Killer power/abilities? Most def (people said the Spirit should have old Prayer Beads as basekits! entitled KiLLaH MaiNz).
But this Killer is just lazy and lackluster.
I hope the community starts calling her Kris.
