With the Wraith, I try to anticipate where they are going and get ahead of them and decloak then. That way they end up running past me right as I decloak and I get a shot in on them.

I reserve judgement on Ruin til i can actually play it but yeah patch release will be extremely interesting with console killers coming to the party in force.

For the longest time i just always had the eorse luck against the Wraith. He has recently been replaced by GF. I just suck against GF and no clue why. I know how to counter him, I just have the worse luck.

Favorite: Wraith with silent bell or Jumpscare Michael. They provide good little frights and make the game fun.
Least: Ghostface. Not sure why but I utter suck against GF and most seem to be hardcore tunnelers and never break off a chase no matter what.

Kindly show me to where they answered why instead of nerfing ruin they didn't fix why it was used so much to begin with? THAT is the real question. Nobody cares WHY they nerfed ruin. They nerfed a killer perk to make it easier for new survivors. People want to know why it was nerfed before the reason it was used was fixed.

People are going to keep saying this stuff until you quit dodging the questions they are asking. The consistent dodging of relevant questions serves only to either make you look like you don't care, or like you haven't actually played your own game and don't have the knowledge to answer. The queue times have not changed much for me since the dedicated servers started. Killer is almost instant and survivor I wait around 5 to 10 minutes. I just get a bit of reading in while waiting on queues.

A few points about the toxic community of DBD.
- This game is far from the most toxic gaming community. I know many of you are not old enough to remember, but Diablo 2 had a horrible horrible community of griefers and flat out pricks. Shadowbane was notorious for PVP griefers. I will not even discuss the early days of WoW before Blizzard realized pricks was costing them money and got ban happy.
- Annoying does not mean toxic. Please understand the difference.
- As long as the person is not breaking a rule, its not toxic.
- Someone saying get gud, or the usual stupid stuff said in chat is not toxic.Being rude is not toxic.
- If someone is verbally harassing you, making death threats, sexual, racial, ethnical, or homophobic insults, telling you to commit suicide, making direct personal attacks, that is toxic.
Mild rant in short, stop taking comments personal, unless they are actually personal. Someone calling me a camper is not toxic. Someone saying my children should die, yeah thats personal.

Usually around ranks 4-6, right now 10. Haven't played much killer this month, was trying to help my wife finish survivor challenges on the rift.
Age 40.
I also do not mind the Ruin change, but cannot honestly say until I get a chance to play it. I like to make my own judgements by using it.

As a survivor, I play far too risky. I play the pallet or vault loops too hard and too loose and it ends up costing me. I find the chase the most thrilling part of the survivor game and encourage it too much. Probably why I rarely hit purple or red ranks as survivor.
As a killer, I mindgame myself too much and will lose survivors in chase. I try to out think survivors and end up over thinking my next move or route and screw myself. I need to rely on my experience and instinct. I never do though.

I play on PS4. I have little issue with queue times. Longest i have waited is 7 min as survivor. Killer is like 30 seconds.

I play normal unless there is a DC or two before the first gen pops. Then I will go out of my way to help the remaining survivors farm because I know I could very easily snowball them if I wanted to. Not much fun for them, and honestly not much fun for me.

Camp when you feel it is needed. It really is as simple as that. For me, its situation based whether I camp or not.
I hook and all remaining survivors swarm the hook, guess what, I am staying put. All gens popped, I am camping. If survivors have shown they are way too altruistic, I am patrol camping.
If you are just playing for fun and not worried about 4k or pipping, and just want to play, dont camp at all. There are times I just like to goof off as killer, those times I never camp.
I guess in the end, just play how you want and have fun.

Basically this. This applies to any killer when you solo and you expect your teammates to be potatoes (which I expect every game as I play survivor solo)

I only 99 the gate if someone is hooked or about to get hooked. I do think it's better just to open the gate though as often people will distract the killer not knowing a gate is 99 and end up dying for no reason.
Same here. That way Bloodwarden wont activate. NOED though, sorry, if I see that activate, I am gone. Not going to worry about unhooks or cleansing totems. At that point, I dont care.
As a killer, I will just open the gate myself if I am running Bloodwarden.

Not really sure how its a counter to NOED. NOED still activates even if the gates are not open. Certainly is a good counter to Bloodwarden though.

Leatherface can pretty much face camp though. All he has to do is sit right there with his power on and the save is impossible. It's more a issue with that Killer existing than anything else though. While the old school face camp is dead, Leatherface is pretty darn close to that power level.
No, even sweet Bubba cannot face camp. It is impossible to face camp, the mechanic is gone.
That being said, Bubba is by far the most dangerous camper in the game. That is why he is a favorite with most campers(not all Bubbas are campers, most are fair killers).

No, face camping does not exist anymore. They removed it when they added the swivel unhook. Face camping prevented from a game mechanic stand point from an unhook from occurring. This has been removed. Everything else is either hard or patrol camping. Face camping is dead and has been for a while.
I have no plans to change your mind because I know I cannot. You have shown you are dead set in your view of ebony moris. Nothing anyone says will influence you. You have basically put your views out there, what everyone else to agree with you, and belittle anyone who disagree.

When it comes to back stories, I think the Nurse or the Doctor would be interesting. I could though see them continuing with the original killers and survivors so of those, I would say Jake and Wraith.

As for the OP, while I agree Ebony Mori can be overwhelming, leading to a snowball for survivors, it is not remotely similar to camping (face camping does not exist anymore). As has been said a few times in this thread, you have to play smart and respect when you see a secret offering. Playing a reckless game is going to get you mori'd.

In solo queue, you can be looking for a totem that's already been cleansed, which wastes A LOT of time. You have no way of knowing how many totems have been cleansed. If you want to say "just do totems" then there needs to be an in-game counter towards totems.
I play solo and I assume every killer is running NOED or some form of Hex perk. Because of this, I always run small game and usually also detective's hunch. I dont go hunting for totems but I can find them as I go around the map. No time wasted.

Its my favorite way of using a mori, lol. Can use it as a deterrent to make survivors think twice about dumb shenanigans, since they dont feel so ballsy when their DS can be bypassed by a mori. I remember queuing up against 4 Claudettes who all decided to try to dress identically. Brought in the mori and had a good game. Didnt actually have to USE it on anybody, which just left them puzzled in the endgame chat. Can also bring in a cypress mori for the same effect.
I spent a day using my entire stash of cypress moris in the same manner. It was beautiful, completely confused all the survivors why they were not getting moried. I burned through something like 15 cypress moris in a row.

I think for me it depends on circumstances. If all other survivors DC, are potatoes and I already got 3K with one or no gens done, or if I am in a good mood, I will let the last escape. I may also let the last survivor escape if it was a really good intense match.

4 toolboxes easily. I see 4 toolboxes, I know its going to be a very quick game so I pop to a high mobility killer or just modify for a 3 gen strat. I see 4 flashlights, I get almost giddy. Its like they are telling me they want me to hit them over and over again while they play stupid trying to blind me.

Honestly, I find neither "stressful". I play the game to have fun. Even if I have a bad game as killer, I find ways to make it enjoyable for myself. If I got great loopers, I play peek a boo with them or something stupid that will make me laugh. I do not take the game too seriously so I never get "stressed".

Currently at rank 33. Sadly work, family and a short stint in hospital limited my time. Probably not buying the pass next Rift. My main goal was the Wraith outfit which I did complete.

Yes BVHR does hate me. I know they do. They are always watching me. I saw BVHR staring at me through my window. They gave me remake Freddy. That alone is a sign of hate and pure evil.

I play on PS4 as a solo survivor and yes, its just as bad there.
That said, when survivors rewards camping and tunneling for the killer, why would he or she not do it. You cannot get upset at the killer when survivors actively go out of their way to farm right in front of them.
I played a game as Bubba, no add ons, no perks (bored and wanted a challenge). I got a 4K because all the survivors swarmed right after I hooked and I was able to chainsaw all of them at once. How is that my fault. I was not truly camping, I literally just finished a hook and there they were. Am I supposed to just run away?
When survivors stop rewarding camping (tunneling is a much different topic and one that is grossly misidentified), you will see camping lower. As long as it still works for a killer, they will keep doing it.

I dc if there is a real life reason to dc and that is rare. If i need to leave game i will juat afk and let either killer or survivors farm me as much as they can.

Modifying the gen times based on rank does not work with the match making broken and SWF. While yes, you have some interesting points, your solution is not doable.

The Wraith is a pretty weak killer in the grand scheme of things. Once you realize its the Wraith, his shimmer is pretty easy to spot. That said, some reason the Wraith is the one killer that typically will destroy me every match I play against him.
He can be fun to play, esp in lower ranks, because most people are not expecting him. That leads to an extra element of suprise.

Been gone for a while and seems the topics never change.
Both sides can have "entitled" players and toxic players. Its not a killer or survivor issue. Stating it in the way you did though OP, it displays a bias towards one side and only causes more issue.

Killer mains, play solo survivor for a while, and tell us how it feels to be tunnelled or camped.
Ok. I play solo survivor about 80% of the time I play survivor. Camping means my teammates can get gens done if they are not stupid. Tunneling does not bother me as a survivor because its a smart strat, take out the weak links as you can. People classify way too many things as tunneling.
So as a killer main, tunneling and camping are not an issue to me as a solo survivor. If they happen, I deal with it and move on.

This has been posted in the past a few times by other people and gets ignored each time. The screams to nerf the Nurse come and die out, then come back a few months later. It was a quiet topic for a while here because of the Legion rage. Ghostface did not create any rage, so back to hating the Nurse.
