I mean, yeah, they are """valid strategies""", but they're still incredibly toxic without a doubt. But unless the devs suddenly pull an about face and ban for them, we all kinda have to deal with it sadly.
Tunneling I could see an argument for at least, since it has some counterplay and can be done strategically by the killer, but camping is just BM that ruins the hooked person's experience, especially if it's a LF that just revs any time somebody gets close.
Even banning wont work since they dont ban players on console, they'd have to make it so survivors get extreme buffs making it a 90% chance of a 4 escape to just discourage camping and tunneling while still leaving it for incredibly skilled people, also camping has a counter more than tunneling just not for the hooked survivor, tunneling has no counter except for the non usefull perks

Fix camping and tunneling

But, it's also toxic when survivors expect an easy ride from killers. Killers have 1 job & 1 job only & it's in their job title. When the killer knows matter of factly there are other survivors right near the hook ready to perform a save, ofcourse they're not going to leave the area. This is not camping.
For example, Myers with Scratched/Vanity Mirror will see the auras of everyone, through walls, rocks, you name it. If any survivors are lying in wait for that save, he aint leaving! Sometimes it really is survivor mistakes that cause the killer to remain in the area.
The likes of Borrowed Time & Decisive Strike are there to counter tunneling, so take advantage of their strong capabilities. Again, it is really about survivor mistakes in both circumstances. Although BT can't counter Insidious, DS can. I never rescue anyone near the killer unless I have BT.
I agree it's not nice being tunneled or camped, but killers gotta kill. My biggest complaint is stop rescuing me in front of the killer if you don't have BT. That's exactly what's going to get me killed. That is precisely the kind of survivor mistake that will cause 'tunneling.'
Last thing, bt and ds are not hard counter, they just rely the inevitable, if bt made it so you cant go down till the chase is lost then its be a counter, if ds made you have a sprint burst and turn invisible then its be a counter, just have 10 more steps to run isnt a counter, it's useless

Also stopping survivors isnt camping, it's when all survivors are cross map and you stand their like a brain dead leather face is when its camping

Theres no hard counters to camping or tunneling, and relying on the morons of xbox is out of the question. Next time you try and say it's a strat realize you're a camping tunneling killer and dont say anything, because only camping trash and tunneling trash agree with camping and tunneling

Survivors dont have a method of ruining a killers game and forcing a depip with no skill, everything survivors do requires skill and timing, everything a camping tunneling piece of garbage has to do is have the skills of a fortnite player i.e. 0 skill

Obviously not. Those can be seen as strategies. Bad ones, but strategies.
Lol no, it's the most toxic thing in the game
-
I will not stop reporting this because its toxic and ruins the game, its NOT a strategy, nor is it fun to play against, I'll will not stop posting about this issue until it is resolved, if I get banned I'll make a new forum account, if I get vac banned I'll get a vpn, I'm not letting these toxic players go unnoticed by you devs just because you're to lazy to fix it

Depending on the offense, additional video offense is typically needed which can be submitted via support ticket. An in game report must be made against the offender in addition to the support ticket.
Griefing is tricky because it is hard for the mods to know whether or not the offender is guilty or not without evidence as they can only tell so much from what the report/game saves about the match. Video evidence allows them to definitively know whether or not someone is guilty of the offense they were reported for.
I stopped taking videos of offenses once I realised the devs dont give a #########

I have multiple video proof of offenses and yet nothing will ever be done about it because console and xbox especially is neglected heavily

Farming isn't bannable. Only if there are survivors that don't want to farm and you kill him because of that, but 99% of the times they see their teammates farming and they farm too.
I've done it to complete some tome 4 missions, including the one that you are struggling with. If a survivor doesn't want to farm in your game, let him complete the generators as he wants and farm with the other 3.
Only farm if the majority agrees with it and start farming too.
Theres literally a report button on the game for farming

That's why I'm force depipping, there is no survivor stupid enough to step in that many traps in 1 game
Oh you ment farm with survivors, but that's frowned upon and reportable, says the devs who think camping and tunneling is rnt toxic

Farm it and hope you get survivors that understand.

Btw time to dc and force depip till rank 15 so I can do the challenge, if you have a problem dont put impossible challenges in the next set
-
Really you guys are just gonna censor it, how about taking less time censoring your stupid fourms and change the archives so they're possible
-
P.s. ######### ban me idgaf anymore, you think this is possible then get to red ranks and prove it, oh wait you cant
-
I'm sick and tired of only being able to play swf because every other player on xbox are so stupid might as well dc, and then when I do swf they just bring a mori or just dodge, yup game fair and balanced
-
Crappy morning full of trash players, crappy day at work, and crappy games after, total of 15 camping tunneling trash players in a row throughout the day, GAME IS TOTALLY BALANCED AND CAMPING/TUNNELING IS TOTALLY NOT TOXIC

That’s not the killers fault. You should be complaining about potato survivors. You also have the option to make friends with the other survivors and get better together. It should be easy to do on Xbox and the voice connection it can provide.
I've made friends with 90% of the good players on xbox, which is like 5 people total
-
@T2K said:
Why not playing swf if you only get bad survivors and killer feels too easy for you?
No friends are on, all my friends play at night, I'm trying to get some games in before I go to work, but I always forget xbox is a cesspool of trash

Youre completely wrong. Survivors can control the game as much as the killer does. Some do it better than others. A well coordinated team with the right perks can destroy almost any killer.
Key phrase "well coordinated" i.e. not xbox survivors

Both sides do it. The rounds are like 10 minutes long. If you're getting your ass kicked, suck it up and cross your fingers for the next one. Jeez louise
8 in a row now where the killer camps a 4k because xbox, dont even talk to me about crossing my fingers for the next one because you dont play survivor

I’m not a killer main, I play both sides, and my play style of choice is a scaredy-cat Blendette who hides from and avoids the killer as much as possible. I’m actually a terrible killer, who is easily looped or mind gamed by survivors.
I’m not going to come to the forums to complain about survivors playing how they want. They want to be daring and loop me, that’s fine. Do they want to be one with the bush? That’s fine too. Killers hate it when they can’t find the survivors, but I don’t see many threads of them complaining about it, nor will I complain about it. It’s a players choice of how they play the game. As long as it doesn’t break the games, it’s not wrong unless devs state otherwise.
I get camped plenty enough, but I don’t let it bother me since it’s in almost every pvp game.
The thing is, survivor dont control the game, killers do, I play both side, but I play survivor more because killer is too easy, its basically a 4k every game because they literally control the lobby
-
@The_Meh_Teh said:
I am on xbox... So I can say whatever I want.
Then stop playing killer and play survivor, if you have the skill to actually get to red you'll see what I mean
-
@FancyMrB said:
Sorry you are having a rough go.
Realistically killers are allowed to camp and tunnel. Heck, there are perks that encourage it. Yes it feel bad, it sucks, but its not toxic.
What is annoying is teammates not capitalizing on the killer wasting their time... or worse yet, farming you off the hook without BT. That is what bothers me.
A camping killer should be defeated easy... but when my teammates throw their bodies at him that is when I get irritated.
Like I said to everyone who says what you do, play on xbox for 1 game at high rank and then tell me it's not toxic, there's only a handful of players on xbox with skill so 90% of the games are just throw games because you get camped tunneled and farmed, let alone rank 20s somehow getting up the ranks
-
@The_Meh_Teh said:
Stop playing the game if you don't like getting hooked. It's that simple.
Play xbox then talk
-
@AvisDeene said:
It is not fun for the survivor*
It is toxic for survivors*
It is a legitimate strategy for killers.
Is it a poor strategy? Definitely, but it doesn’t make it unviable. Blame your teammates if you lose the match, not the killer. They don’t have to immediately rescue you.
A killer has every right to camp a survivor they have downed. They also have every right to tunnel someone if they so choose, especially if the survivor looped them around the whole map or has a key. Until the devs come out with a rule book saying otherwise, there’s no point in complaining.
Practice looping or outright evading the killer. So many people think it’s ok to run around everywhere and leave scratch marks and not run Spinechill and yet complain about the killer taking advantage of their poor choices.
Ok killer main on pc, play survivor on xbox once then try talking
-
I feel like I'm the only xbox player on the fourms, because I seem to be the only one who gets potato survivors at rank 1 every game and camping/tunneling killers 90% of games
-
@LordRegal said:
I say this with total honesty:
I am ok with being camped.
I am not ok with my teammates seeing I’m being camped and farming me off the hook anyway.
From your second post it sounds like your teammates were rewarding the camping behavior. That’s the true problem. Had they played intelligently they would’ve had 3-4 gens completed as you were camped and the killer would’ve been extremely punished for the behavior. That is worth my death, every time.
Yes I understand that, but I play xbox, at rank 1 the survivor are the same as rank 20 on pc, so I can never rely on my survivors to be smart, which leads to constantly dropping because of camping and the even more and uncounterable tunneling
-
Its 5 games in a row the killer gets a 4k due to the incompetence of RED rank survivors and killers camping and tunneling
-
6 votes and its 50/50 I thought itd atleast show one way or the other

I think it's more unfair that I dont even get the chance to grind for the items just because I couldn't play day 1, if you think it's unfair that people grinded and others wont then the shine of secrets is unfair, people grind BP to lvl killers but others just skip it to get the teachable, and I agree with someone else just put them in another event in the store tho, I feel like I'm getting shafted after being told I'm gonna get my favorite cosmetic only for it to be literally rip from me due to whining player that had to "grind" so hard for it, well I had to "grind" for my propain hammer but idc if people who were not able to play during the even get it for free or in store, but since it's such a big deal have the event come back and give me a chance to get it
P.s I'm on console so even if there was a steam code for the thing I wouldnt be able to buy it

I think @thatcarbonfox is aware of what you posted, he's just making a request based on that.
Yes I do realize they reversed there decisions to give all players the event cosmetics due to updating the method of finding players who earned it, but for the people who never had the chance to earn it, like me, it sucks because I really like one of the cosmetics that I can never have due to me not knowing the game existed until after the event, this is the reason I want the devs to atleast add them to the store, because I never had the opportunity to grind for these cosmetics
-
Even if this specific werewolf doesnt get added me and my friends all agree another mythical kind of killer would be awesome, I personally want a werewolf(which would make me play killer alot more) but my friends said stuff about a vampire would be cool and other non human killers
-
No console is way different its like we're on a different more buggy version, almost everything is worse than pc including the toxicity, almost ever survivors game gets face camped, every killer game body block gen rush survive with friends
-
Ok so if bill is left 4 dead makes sense and if we have his perks cool, legacy skins arnt a big deal I get why there rare and I would rather keep them rare, but charity case dlc can be on console other games have done charity stuff ex: mortal kombat, overwatch, cod, and probably more on games I haven't played.
-
If body blocking is lore friendly then why is it classified as griefing, and I would like to see the push and any angle hooks more that no collision
-
I shouldn't be losing if I'm playing as intended and not camping(just play as a "bad" player and got a 4k, when all my other fair games I get screwed)
-
The killer should push them out the way if contact is mad without the swing or special animation, and I play both as well I win almost all survivor games even solo(cause survive with friends is bull and makes an op class stronger) and the killer needs a big buff
