  • Its been canceled. They decided to make the new killer Sabrina the Teenage Witch (the one from the 90s, not the Netflix version).

  • I actually love when a SWF does all the same survivor (excluding P3 squadettes). Nothing is more fun than a round of whack a random Dwight.

  • @TheShape78 Michael is my co-main(along with the Doctor) and I bought DBD solely for the Halloween DLC. I been a die hard fan of the franchise going on over 30 years now.

I was torn which to get when they came out on PS4, F13 or DBD. I think I made the right choice.

  • @FireHazard I agree. The OP still deserves a cookie. Cookies for everybody.

  • You gave a survivor the hatch after his/her three ######### teammates DCed. If anything, you deserve a cookie.

  • Deep wounds and mending needs to be more of a threat. Right now, its a minor annoyance. I think skill checks and penalties should occur. I also think it should be considered a healing action as well, with all penalties or aids associated.

  • I could see lowering the length of the tantrum, but not entirely removing it. It is a very iconic part of the character and should stay in the game.

  • I have not seen this issue on PS4 before. Will need to keep an eye out for it

  • This again. Ok, not a single thing you complained about is actually toxic. They are only toxic because you let them be toxic. You let tbaggers and flashlights get to you. You let loopers get to you. You get worked up over something as simple as a game mechanic.

  • I want 4k with no effort. I also would like my hair to grow back. Neither is happening.

Look, nearly all killers want a 4k. Kinda the point of playing killer, killing people. Survivors want to survive, kinda what they do. The goal is to find a balance. Not easy but I have a little faith in the devs.

Please though, continue the killer vs survivor posting war. I do love a good drama.

  • I suffer from impulse control. I also have a very addictive personality. I am a recovering pain killer addict and alcoholic. I know I have these issues. I am the person these tactics "target". Guess what, I do not buy battle passes or cells for cosmetics. Why? Because while I lack impulse control, I learned over the years how to fight it and not make stupid choices. It is a constant struggle but can be done.

Oh yeah about the comments of kids playing and battle pass. Be a ######### parent and limit the amount of time your kid is online. Don't give them your credit card. Oh yes stop giving them everything they ask for. Parents, do your damn jobs. Stated by a father of 7.

  • I want LOL back. I want it back now. If we do not get it back, we will begin posting Clown mankini fan created pics. No one wants that. No one.

  • Pips and ranks are not that important. They mean nothing at all. You get no rewards if you are rank 1 at reset.

By the same logic you could sell alcohol to a recovering alcoholic because if you don't sell it to them, someone else will

There are ways to give cosmetics out to people. Even ways that let the devs earn money. Those ways are not (as) predatory and bullshit as a battle pass would be. In absolutely no way is a battle pass superior for an average players than those alternatives, however those alternatives are much better for mentally unhealthy individuals and minor. Therefore there is no excuse not to use those alternative channels without those severe issues

Nope, not what I am saying at all actually. What I am saying is nothing will stop an addict until the addict hits rock bottom. Adding or not adding a battle pass will not change their addiction. And as a recovering alcoholic, it is not a bartender's fault if I order a drink. I am responsible for my own actions and my own addiction.

  • My opinion about battle passes is, no big deal. If you want to pay for it, go for it. If you broke like me, do not.

As for the argument about minors it holds little weight. First off, it is the responsibility of the parent, not the game developer to monitor what their child is doing and if they spend money in game. As a parent, I have had to swallow that pill of my kid ordering a PPV movie, or buying stuff in Candy Crush or Angry Birds. I learned the lesson to put in parental locks. They have those available as well on consoles (cannot say for certain about Steam, havent used it years).

Lastly, those with game addictions, my heart goes out to anyone fighting an addiction, I been done that road. That said, the addition or non addition of a battle pass will change much in terms of those playing this game while facing this addiction. If it is not this game, they will just go to another. An addict will keep looking for the next fix, where ever it comes. It is up to the addict to overcome the addiction. This comes from personal experience.

Only for the very top survivors. Everyone else would hate it because it'd basically be a slaughterfest.

I could see it more as a KYF feature than a ranked trial feature. Won't happen but would lead to interesting matches.

  • Mildly off topic, but a realism game mode would be interesting.

  • @TreemanXD Once you are back from your self exile (understandable reasons to take a break, I did the same), try putting it vertical for a few games and see if it makes a difference for you.

  • @TreemanXD For the overheating issue, is your PS4 sitting vertical or horizontal? I had the issue when I had mine sitting horizontal, but once I got a base and stood it vertical, never had an issue again.

  • I have this problem with my older controller but not my new one.

  • Honestly, the only change EGC needs is a min/max on gate spawn distances. Beyond that, EGC is fine as it is. You should have a low survival rate in EGC during a 1v1 situation.

  • Well that was informative.

Did you read my post? It SAYS that is the CURRENT plan. I know it may or may not change. I'm just saying it now as it is.

Also, the "just wait and try it out" defense is unjustified. Everyone thought that MoM would be broken once it leaked, and it turned out to be true. Everyone thought the legion nerf was going to make them utter trash, and that turned out to be true (although a bit subjective and debatable) and so many more.

I did read your post. It stated current decision. As I pointed out, it is not the current decision but one of several they are exploring. I stated there is no reason to get worked up over something that is not even remotely official. When they announce what the final decision is for MoM, then by all means, have at it.

  • We do not know if that is even going to be the MoM change. It was the one publicly mentioned, but then followed by saying they have others they are looking at as well. Instead of going crazy with assumptions, lets wait until they actually release what the change will be. Then we can go insane with screams of its OP, its a major nerf, its the new meta, or whatever new complaint we can come up with.

  • They are a business. They want to make money. Why wouldnt they make cosmetics that are cells only.

  • Yes, totem spawns could be a bit better but honestly, they are much better than they used to be.

A survivor asking for a fair EGC, and 17 killers saying no. Sadly is the usual in the forum

Actually, I primarily been playing survivor since EGC. I have found it more exciting since it started. So while I am not a survivor main, I am certainly not a killer main. So make that 16 killers and 1 sorta survivor.

  • Then take down the video. What you are doing is against the rules here. People are trying to keep you from being banned.

  • Given the numbers, it really is not a huge advantage.

  • We all play the same game and enjoy discussing the game. Does it really matter if someone is a this main or that main? Just talk about the game and enjoy.

  • I wanted to say yes but thinking about it, I do not think it would be a good idea. Part of the fun of survivor is finding the one you connect with as @Blueberry said, then unlocking perks for your custom build for that character. I think when you apply buffs to the survivors, you will see the same few survivors every match, similar to the issue with killer at higher ranks.

  • @xxshinobazuxx At this point, we are best at agreeing to disagree.

  • By the time you get to a 1v1 situation, the power has shifted to the killer, as it should. As the game starts to dwindle survivors, the balance should shift to the killer. By the time it is 1v1, all the power should be completely on the killer's side. I am not sure why this is such a hard concept. The killer should have a much higher success rate in 1v1.

Again, the gate distances need to be addressed, I agree there. Beyond that, there is no issue with the current EGC in the 1v1 situation. The killer should be the power role. The killer should be able to dictate how the pace of EGC goes. The killer should be in control. Its the killer's match to lose at that point, as it should be in this particular situation.

  • See @Peanits just confirmed my Barney theory. I knew it

  • When the leaked killer turns out to be ruse by BHVR and the new Chapter is the most frightening ever. We will all be shocked when the chapter "Happy Family" is released with the most iconic licensed killer yet, Barney the Dinosaur.

i disagree wheater or not you live or die in a 1v1 is completely luck, if the doors spawn on one side you are screwd no ifs and or buts... also what if the killer has whispers youll never get a door open

1v1 is not completely luck, though I will admit some luck is required. I have survived with doors spawning on the same side. I have survived when the killer has whispers. I survived against Billys and Nurses. It can be done, it takes a little skill, a little stealth and a little luck.

I have been hooked more than I have survived, as I should. The 1v1 EGC survival rate should be less than 25%, no matter the rank. The killer should have a huge advantage in those situations. Survivors have enough chances before they get to the 1v1 EGC situation. The escape in EGC should be a frantic intense do or die situation. The fact that more survivors do not try to says more about them than the gameplay. They give up instead trying the "impossible." Every once in a while, a miracle happens.

  • The only thing that needs to be adjusted for EGC is a min/max for gate distance. Beyond that, EGC is perfectly fine in its current version. Surviving should be hard in a 1v1 situation, but not impossible. Even with gates as they are right now, it is not impossible to escape, as I have done so many times.

  • @tomikomPL To answer your question, the game was launched. DCs have been an issue since launch. Oh yes, I have been playing the game for a while. I started the day of PS4 launch in 2017.

  • My favorite is my peek a boo Michael build with M&A, blood warden (since of panic when trapped during EGC), scratched mirror, the offering for increased lunge in EW1 and Lery's offering. I just spend the match stalking and scaring the piss out of survivors. If I happen to hook during EGC, you are stuck in my playground.

  • @HavelmomDaS1 No, I got your point. You presented it rather well. I said you were wrong. What streamers you were referring to was immaterial honestly. I can see though why you did not understand my disagreements with your stance. I will try to explain it a different way.

In terms of looking at an issue, you will always have three sides, the biased one direction, the biased the other direction, and the middle ground. In terms of something like DBD, having all three sides or views is a good thing. Having biased survivor main and killer main views gives you the extremes. Having the "unbiased" or those that play both sides evenly gives you a more moderate view. You can then look and compare what is said from all three vantage points and pick a direction to move with game changes and/or balance.

  • @Kiskashi I have no leg in the MoM fight. I do not use it as survivor and rarely have an issue with it as killer. I did like the protection hit idea that was brought up though.

My issue with this post was the hypocrisy of the OP. Complaining how MoM should be anti-tunnelling while the entire match did everything in his power to keep the chase on. I give credit, wo lengthy chases that only netted one hook for all 5 gens is talent. Just do not come bitching about tunnelling when your entire gameplay was set to be tunnelled.

  • Can we do the same then for when a Killer disconnects? All the survivors are teleported to the basement to watch the Killer go on the hook and the Entity taking them? Just wondering.

  • Only point I will make is, if you wanted him to stop tunnelling you, perhaps you should have broke LOS on of the oh, half dozen times you actually escaped him instead of trying to lure him back into the chase. The killer got sucked into the tunnel and she/he should have known better and broke it off, but you are not innocent in this either. To me, it looked like you were wanting to play the bait and honestly, you did a hell of a job of it. Just do not complain about tunnelling when you kept luring the killer back into the chase.

It has nothing to do with censorship. Literally nothing. It's just asking the developers not to promote toxic Ideas and bad behavior.

Anti-vaxxers are just expressing their opinion, but their opinion is harmful and not grounded in reality. This is what OP is talking about when they say that the Fog Whisperers need to be good role models.

Being incredibly biased to one side and bming the other side is not an opinion that deserves respect or deserves promotion. And it is not censorship to refuse to promote that.

First off, shame on you for comparing something that is life impacting like the Anti-Vaxx movement to idiots on Twitch or Youtube playing a game.

Secondly, the examples the OP provided are not toxic. Complaining about perks on a live stream is not toxic. If the streamer does not like those perks and their current state, that is an opinion. Being a loud mouth during a stream complaining about opponents is not toxic. Now if the streamer was griefing in the game, then yes. But that is not the accusations. The OP wants these streamers gone because they have a different view and play a different way than she/he does. The OP wants to remove their association with DBD because they do not like them and what they have to say. That is attempted censorship.

Lastly, streamers like any form of media personality should not be what you look for as a "role model". Follow your own morals and ethics. The actions of people are not the fault of anyone other than the person who does the act. Next thing you know, these streamers are going to be accused of having hidden messages if you play their videos backwards.

  • The beauty of the Shape is there are so many ways to play him and create a scary trial. You can scratched mirror Jump Scare Michael or Unlimited EW3 Killing Machine Michael. His add ons and perk combos provide probably the most variation to play style of all the killers in my eyes.

  • Some of the trophies need to be looked at, esp for Killer as they are a bit more difficult to obtain. That though does not effect gameplay.

Yes they made pipping a bit more difficult at higher ranks, but rank means nothing. I have played both sides at all ranks and honestly, after a certain point, your quality of opponents does not vary that much. I played against survivors just as skilled at 9 as at 1. Getting pips and ranks does not effect anything in game. None of your complaints honestly effect gameplay, so I am not sure how this game went to hell.

  • @SenzuDuck Imagine if these guys were told they couldn't express their opinions if they wanted to keep posting on the forum.

  • First off, please, use punctuation. It is extremely hard to read a 10 line run on sentence.

Secondly, given the known issue with disconnect by the system, a timer like Smite would be a bad idea. You are punishing people who did not DC on purpose as well those who did. The method they are using is a much more fair way to determine if someone warrants a ban.
