Every person is biased. Its just a nature of being human. They are entitled to their views just as much as you are entitled to yours. Being a Fog Whisper does not mean they have to keep their opinions quiet. But thank you for your attempt at censorship.

While not all, but some of those disconnects could possibly be due to an ongoing issue with people being disconnected by the game, not disconnecting themselves. I know this is an issue on PS4 as it occurrs to both my wife and myself when we play. Yes disconnects suck, and people do get banned for them, but its based on percentage. If they do it enough, they will get banned. I suspect it will get a bit better when the dedicated servers roll out.
-
Yes its bannable. They have stated that many times. Its a known exploit
-
I bought Ash for Ash. I been a fan of Evil Dead for well over 30 years. Its Bruce Campbell. That alone is reason to buy.
While yes, survivors are basically skins, certain characters are just simply iconic. Ash is one of them.
-
@Entità I do not deliberately sandbag other survivors but if they are nearby, well, congrats, here is a Legion, happy birthday.
-
I play solo because I enjoy it. I like the idea of surviving at any cost (including using other survivors as meat shields). I find it more thrilling than SWF honestly.
-
I bought this for Ash and Ash alone. I dont run his perks. MoM needs to be looked at, and they have not offically announced how it would be reworked/nerfed/buffed/designed on a etch-a-sketch. Before we go all insane, why not wait until they actually tell us what they will do with it.
-
@Hoodedfengm1n Thats it, you are added to the dad joke offenders list.
-
@FireHazard That brought a tear to my eye. Beautiful
-
We the people of Dead by Daylight politely request that @Peanits please stop the use of dad jokes in the forums. For many of us, this brings back memories of our fathers repeatedly telling horrible jokes over and over again. We ask, no, we demand that he stops this cruel act. We all know why the chicken crossed the road.
-
Personally I love Ruin as survivor. Majority of the time, killer will patrol around the totem. I just power through gens and let the brave and stupid try for the totem. Keeps the killer off my back as I power gens one by one.
-
@Peanits My father is demanding his jokes back.
-
Just remember, Nea is the Entity.
-
@TheBean Ok, that is very disturbing
-
-
They did stop listening to only one side. It used to be survivor only. Now they are listening to both sides, as seen by DS, MOM and Legion changes.

LOL. Why not just say you scammed everyone? You made your money on the ASH DLC and now you are ready to sell another one.
By chance, are you also a Legion main?
-
@legion_main If you are in a 1v1 situation before the 2nd gen is powered, both you and the killer are in the same situation in trying to find the hatch. Now it is a race to get there first. Previously in that situation, the survivor was literally screwed. Now they have a fighting chance. I do agree there needs to be a min/max on gate distance though.
Now if you are in a 1v1 situation with the 2nd gen powered, more than likely, the killer will know exactly where the hatch is. DONT GO TO IT. Find a gate and sit. If there killer has not kicked it yet, more than likely he is running NOED. Go work on a gen. If the gen pops, more than likely the killer will kick the hatch and head your way. Go to gate and begin opening. Hopefully you will have enough time to get gate open and escape. Vast majority of the time, you will die. But you have a chance to escape if you play 1v1 situations smartly. I find them very thrilling and fun to play as both killer and survivor.
-
@legion_main I have escaped a few times with gates right next to each other. I escaped at the very last second but I did. Again, it can be done. It can be done without keys to reopen hatches. To say it is impossible is incorrect. You also are not taking into account maps that clearly benefit the survivor in a 1v1 EGC, such Lery or Game. Yes, a bit of luck is involved. And sometimes the spawn screws the survivor, but sometimes it screws the killer as well.
-
@legion_main As I made mention in one of the several other 1v1 threads, the killer does not always win. In a 1v1 situation where EGC has begun, I escape roughly 30% of the time, either via the gate or a key to reopen the hatch. Escape can and does occur. It shouldnt be easy, the power of the match has completely swung to the killer. But it can be done.
-
This is a 4v1 asymmetrical PVP game.
As a killer, I am not responsible for the fun and enjoyment of survivors. They are targets to kill however I can within the rules of the game.
As a survivor, I am not responsible for the fun and enjoyment of killers. They want to kill me and I will escape however I can within the rules of the game.

Can we do all we can to make this the most down voted post in the history of the forum? Please, if not for yourself, do it for the children.

*looks at fingers* Today is the 16th. 2 weeks is 14 days. 16 + 14 = 30. May 30th. Not sure how you figured June. Math is your friend.
-
The vaulting and FF ms nerfs honestly were too much when it came to the Legion changes. Part of the fun of Legion was that mad dash style of play he had. It made playing him exciting. I have played 3 games post Legion nerf and honestly, without even a minor movement buff, I probably wont play him again. It killed what was unique and fun of the characters.
-
@Mc_Harty That possibly could have been me if you were on PS4. I did that last weekend, completely drunk, wanted to show off DBD to a few friends, spent an entire match swinging at air.
-
I have sacrificed myself countless times to console nurses. Usually after making them chase me for 3 or 4 gens, I will let them finally hit a blink hit.

Just getting the preemptive "no" out there because I'm betting it will pick up like the Legion.
@Peanits Very true. I bow to your uncanny ability to know what plague is about to come our way. You are truly the Mettle of Man.
-
Devs: Ok, we are looking at a few possible changes to MoM. Here is one of several possibilities.
Survivors who only run meta perks:

@Peanits Ummm please read the entire OP. Especially the part right above the rabbits licking each other.
-
@TheBean You have won the DBD Forum post of the day award. Please wield this power with respect and cation. Thank you.
-
SWF death squads suck. Good thing they are rare. Most SWF groups are highly uncoordinated, spend most of the game laughing at each other, and there is a decent chance you will have that one idiot trying to sandbag his/her friends just because that is what he/she does.
-
I actually do not mind this change to MoM. Changes the criteria some, making it more situational than general. As a Killer, I welcome the change. As a survivor, I didnt run it to begin with and as I typically am the lone wolf type solo player, I wouldn't be saving people anyways, let them die.
-
@FrauZockinsky In the games I have played survivor since EGC and I ended up as sole survivor, I have escaped probably about 30% of the time. I have gotten gates opened or found a key earlier in the trial and reopened the hatch. Honestly, that escape rate is right about what the 1v1 escape rate should be, if not just a bit lower. In this situation, the killer has the advantage and rightfully so. He should have the scales tipped in his favor. It is not impossible but it sure as hell is hard, and that is how it should be.
-
@NuclearBurrito I have seen a bit of a difference. For the most part, survivors have been leaving a bit quicker than before.
I also seen a bit of creativity on the killer side. Played a game as survivor, EGC was started. I had the daily where I needed to leave with new item, so being an idiot, I went to basement. Killer slugged me, waited until about 20 or so seconds left on timer, then hooked me for my last hook. Keep in mind the other three survivors were teabagging at the gate. Bam, Blood Warden. 4K.
-
No Mither is one of those odd perks. It has a decent upside with a horrible downside. I wouldnt mind seeing a buff, just one that makes sense and keeps it as a weird perk.
-
I want a firetruck and a pony.
-
Glad to see you found an outlet.
I will offer you some advice given to me many years ago when I had issues handling my anger towards idiots(or all of humanity). "Do they pay your bills? Do they take care of your needs? Do they profane term you? No? Then why care what they say about or to you?
-
Honestly, just leave if they start. No reason to give them the attention they are craving. Also, remember nothing they say really effects your life. Sometimes it is hard, but do not take what is said personal.
-
Best thing you can do is just play your game your way. Do not let others force you to change your play style. "Toxic" players will be that way no matter what you do. Just let them do it, play your game and move onto the next trial.
-
@Axelson Let me go through your points.
1 you can always miss a totem if you don't run small game, please, stop saying the cleansing totems thing.
If the killer is just sitting on the hatch, then you have plenty of time to cleanse totems, as he is waiting to bait you. Also, you should have been cleansing totems as you saw them before you ever got to 1v1 situation, small game or not
2 hiding near an exit won't help so much, it is like the old hatch stand off but a lo more dificult,
Depends on maps and gate spawns. Sometimes yes, you gonna be screwed in EGC with how the gates spawn. Then you have Lery's and the Game where gates are far enough apart and a lot to obstruct the killer's view that you can easily get a gate open
3 doing a generator is an instant death if the killer has bitter murmur or rancor
If you are not the obsession rancor means nothing. Bitter Murmur while helpful does not equal instant death, no reason to exaggerate the situation.
4 he can close the hatch and just came for me fast with the NOED
Go back to see the first point.
-
Adept to the new norm. As others have said, if the killer is lurking the hatch, you know he is more than likely running NOED, go break some totems. Then do a gen to lure him away or for him to kick the hatch.
-
@Peanits You will not. You will stand here and accept all punishment for that horrible joke.
-
Oh I am going to need to get popcorn. This one is going to get good.
In all seriousness, the game is killer sided in lower ranks for new players. As you start to learn the game more, these issues you state will not be as big of a problem. The hill spawns do suck, but next trial, you could easily spawn right next to a hex totem.
As for ranking, it will come with more experience you get. Right now, do not stress pips. Just play the game and have fun.
-
If King @Orion wants it, it should be done.
Please let us know when it is a hard yes, would love to own one or two of them for my horror cave.
-
-
Michael with EW3
-
As @Orion stated, if done for KYF, this would be great. Anything beyond that, no. For the reasons already stated.
-
The best I had was last night. I was accused of camping. I went AFK as soon as the trial started because my toddler fell. I didnt move the entire trial.
-
In all honesty, there is not much you personally can do about these issues. I wouldnt say the DCs are getting out of hand now, they have always been out of hand. In the end, you have to decide if this game is fun and you want to keep playing. No one can really decide for you.
One question though, with the screenshot you provided, did the two randos also die from EGC as well?
