Then they need to fix it so that they refresh like I said (Or at the very least make it publicly know in Killer tips at the bottom and in ability tip). So that The Plague HAS to use it or they all reset after a time. It's not fair to any survivors who don't know this and nobody forced the death puke because nobody knew. I dislike the plague but I don't think that forcing a reset incase players don't know wouldn't be the end of the world for plague players.
I dont think you understand, if all the fountains have been use plague automatcally gets her power and all fountains become clean and useable.
So by what you describe there are 2 possibilities.
1. There was an available fountain that you missed.
2. There was a bug or cheating happening.

So hear is my question, they made a point to come out and make David gay, and then they decide to nerf his perks and make it less incentivising to level him up and use him. How does that make the community feel?

Ohhh, I'm an Idiot, I didn't realize once you got the level one perks you could continue to get the higher level perks just through the blood web. >.>
It works the same way too with like anything you buy out of the shrine once you buy it at Level one it'll start showing up in blood webs but you can also keep buying it to get it to level 3
-

I just want my teachables back. I just want to be able to get the killer I need to 40 and never play or put points in them again. And then I can just focus instead of being forced to spend blood points on a killer I will never play even with a challenge. And spending bloodpoints to prestige. Its so much worse then the old system.
Its only 10 more levels then you get lvl 1 free on all killers and can level it up through the web and never have to worry about losing the perk its not that bad, now i can actually prestige for the bloody cosmetics so i like it.
This is coming from someone who grinded the 10 levels on about 25-30 characters over 2 weeks to prestige them to p1 to unlock p3 for patch drop

So I was hooked at the end of the match near an open gate. I realized that I’m not so sure the killer could really do anything to stop both of us escaping except a successful grab for the survivor saving me since I have basekit endurance after being unhooked… what else could an M1 killer do?
Depending on how close maybe wait outthe 5 sec and get you before going out or if they get a hit instead of a grab maybe force a trade

Yeah its quite confusing. After all, if you look at Jolt it still says "Demogorgon's Perk"...
Also if you had unlocked them as teachables pre patch you will still get them at level 1 on all characters regardless of prestige tier

@VaporLion said:
If you vault as Survivor from the Ship or any higher place u lose distance because the stagger duration is insanely long for survivors. F.e. The killer chases you , misses his basic attack because u have sprintburst u fast vault and drop from height and there is a pallet 2m in front, you dont even make it there despite the fact that the killer missed. its just ridicolous how much survivors get punished from height but killers dont get any impact.
Thats the trade off of using a drop vault, you just have to be more tactical. The drop stagger offsets the extra time it takes for the killer to vault the window.

i mean with what i wrote you wouldnt be silent, you just would wail in pain.
before the nerf iron will made you 100% silent
imo it should ve just made the painful groaning into normal breathing. you can track sound easily with just normal breathing but it would still be less effective than before the nerf.
Yeah but if your running around you should be grunting in pain albeit quieter than normal
-
@BubbleBuster said:
What I think they should do to these perks
Decisive Strike:
- revert the stun duration to 5 seconds
- it should be disabled in the end game
Iron Will:
- it should mute your grunts of pain by 100%
- it should not work when exhausted
- it should not render you completely silent; normal breathing should still be a thing. Before the nerf it just completely muted your breathing which is dumb. why was an injured survivor quieter than a healthy one? probably bad coding again.
I'm with ya on just about everything there except iron will mute 100 %.
I'll go for the 100% while crouching and not moving. This makes it more realistic because in reality if your hurt it would take some concentration to actually be completely silent.

Its a tax to let you keep your items/add ons.

thats certainly true, but some killers really need greens/purples (sometimes even iris) as mandatory, some arguably should be basekit since they just offset poor design/balancing choices.
Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if once there were no perks to unlock the node that would have a perk was guarenteed purple or higher.
-
I have always said i mainly used it for the bloodpoints.
Then i started going for adept achivements and stopped using it, and alot of times i would hook, maybe check some close gens and proxy till i could go for an unhooker.
Then i started using it again grinding bp to get my characters p1, and wow did i love it, almost always gave me someone to chase after an unhook.
The perk is not OP by any stretch, it is super healthy in terms of reducing camping, for non sociopaths. I may or may not keep running it without the bp, because i found myself still looking around for bbq value even while doing adepts without the perk.

some people (namely killers) need addons from webs as much if not more than perks. early webs have absolutely awful rarity distribution, which bhvr put on the back burner because they wanted to get this update out without delaying it to figure that out first.
Addon rarity and addon quality are 2 different things but i can understand the complaint

Just FYI it looks like the queue bonus for playing the side that needs more players is pretty huge because that bonus is also increased by things like bloodpoint offerings and events and such. The match I just watched on stream for instance the killer had a net baseline score of about 19000 and in large part because of the queue bonus got 70k bloodpoints total. So if you’re someone who is wondering how to make for not having BBQ and Chili or WGLF bonuses and you’re willing to play the side the matchmaking bonus is incentivizing you can probably get good boosts from it.
So if your playing the side that needs people you might get the bonus of bbq/wglf, instead of just being able to use the perk and guaranteeing it on the side you want.

So I just learned you can't automatically unlock the basic perks for survivors and killers. Pretty disappointing to be honest but I get it.
What annoys me the most is the devs knew about this from the get go, and yet on the hundreds of posts on here asking about prestiging P0 50 characters to P1 1 for the sake of unlocking all perks, they failed to mention you wouldn't actually unlock all perks and would still have to grind for them.
Would have appreciated some more clarity on the matter.
I more or less assumed that would be the case because they only stated teachable perks in the release.

I recently started achievement hunting and realized I only had 3 survivor achievements left and am now down to the last one (End a chase by hiding in a locker). While it's not the worst thing in the world, it makes me use quick and quiet and head on a lot now which has gotten me face camped on a few occasions lol
But anyway, after that, I will only have 25 achievements left. I think the 2 I am going to struggle with most are:
With Nurse, chain 3 blinks and then land a grab. The only way I'm getting that done is farming.
Myers: Kill all 4 survivors with the tombstone. I tried this almost 10 times today and every time, I would only end up with 3 kills. Two times, I got cucked by the hatch. The other 7 or 8, the last survivor would just jump in a locker and literally stayed inside until the timer ran out rather than let me get my last kill. Aggravating tbh
I actually did the myers one tonight had 4 tombstones to use before i prestiged him and gotit on the last one lol

All perks and Add-ons should be half the Points on the Blood web. It's too much Grind and Time consuming. We barely get 2x the Blood Points events on barely any weekends instead we should have those for a whole month and every other month. Like come on Behavior it'll be a lot easier since we got all these loopers, tunnels, and trolls being on BS. It's been 6yrs people 6 almost a decade. Be a bit more Generous okay? Like for example it takes about like 12 to 9hrs to get up to 1 million blood points to level up a Survivor or Killers between 30-40 and another in total 1,500,000 to get to prestige. That seems like 3 Million blood points to level and prestige. NOW for the Offerings Please update it for that all Survivors and killers share the same Offerings because its the same every time we level up and to much grind. Like have the Survivor offerings share the same across all survivors and killer offerings share the same across all the killers. Do it the same way with the perks being available to all survivors and killers that reached P3.
Have you looked at the new patch, aside from the offerings part the perk part is happening

I really enjoy running devour hope but when it gets clensed in the first 20 seconds of the game it just makes me sad because behaviour allows this sort of spawning.
Don't get me wrong. I don't mind my hex being clensed but when survivors don't have to look/work for it it just sucks and shouldnt really happen.
If its that big of a problem they have a perk called undying just for that problem

@NMCKE said:
It would be nice to have this implemented into the game, but since you're technically making the killer weaker, you need something to compensate.
Perhaps we slightly increase the unhook time so that you're forced to stay vulnerable longer than normal. This would pretty much remove the frustration on both sides.
Also/or remove collision on the hooked survivor so you can guaratee a hit on the unhooker instead of getting auto aimed onto the guy on the hook who is invincible.

I keep running into situations where people try to heal me and it's absolutely impossible to get free. It's absolutely destroyed games for me where say I'm on death hook, the killer is coming and someone manages to start healing me. I spam WASD, I hold sprint, I spam crouch, anything and everything in my power but I just cannot get free. Then the killer finally gets close, they FO and I get downed and killed.
Two games ago I was stuck in a position where I tried to get free. Two people were insistent on healing me (Chased me actually while I was frantically shouting to myself "Get the hell away from me) It was against a Hillbilly, and I wanted to have dead hard available if he was going to 1 hit kill me anyways. They finally managed to anchor me, I couldn't get free, Hillbilly shows up and executes me one second after I get fully healed.
This last game I was in I could see the wraith coming, I wanted to run, but no they were going to heal me. Again spam every key I can, can't get free. Wraith appears, smacks me, I go down and they run. Like please just let me leave.
I've read online for advice on what to do, people say "Hold sprint!" "Spam crouch!" "Gesture!" But it only seems to work like maybe 40% of the time? A few times I managed to break free, they take two steps and heal me again and I struggle to break from their grasp.
Other times it's like "I have adrenaline, please let's finish this gen and I'll be fine. No please god let go of me we're so close."
It's absolutely horrifying and frustrating.
Ive never had an issue with the hold sprint method it eveb works while slugged

I think it's vastly overrated. Good survivors are just gonna finish one of the non-blocked gens while you're in the first chase of the match. Then you have three perks for the rest of the game.

If I'm really angry from a SWF match I just play Spirit or Hag sweating a bit and I chill, so I don't really think anger causes tunneling. Why do you guys think certain killers tunnel?
Some times it is out of anger i had a match a while back with a really good Steve, he was running me really good and when the first gen popped i bailed on him. He then proceeded to sabo save on 3 of my first 4 downs, i was pissed so i threw the game, managed to catch him going for an unhook and then camped and tunnelled him dead i didnt care if i lost the game and got a 1k as long as it was steve.

I am not looking for a counter play for it just explanation as to why the it's gotten so bad.
Well to be fair up until around when trickster came out basement challenges were bugged, so now that the rift is over people may be going back to do some of those challenges. Nah, give options for increasing your bloodpoint yield, but widen those options so you have choices beyond just WGLF or just BBQ. Expand the 'grinding' meta.
Having thought a little more about it... Lets say you had up to two perks for each bloodpoint category. Ideally lesser used or healthy but non-meta perks. Have each one increase bloodpoints for just that category by... 150% maybe. Maybe something like:
Objective - Technician or Prove Thyself (PT would probably need a nerf if this was the case, which it probably needs anyway)
Survival - Camaraderie or Boil Over
Altrusim - No One Left Behind or Babysitter
Boldness - We're Gonna Live Forever or Stake Out
Simplify the 'stacks' a little to 50/100/150% so you only need 3 instead of 4, and some would obviously be easier to obtain than others.
Suppose you chose a perk from each of those categories, you'd end up with a bonus +150% bloodpoints across the board. You wouldn't have to choose WGLF, you could choose Stake Out instead, etc.
For killers:
Brutality - Sloppy Butcher or Unrelenting
Deviousness - Distressing or Play With Your Food
Hunting - Thrill of the Hunt or Beast of Prey
Sacrifice - BBQ and Chilli or Monstrous Shrine
In terms of bloodpoint bonuses, there'd be no need to double up within a category, so BBQ and Monstrous Shrine's bonuses wouldn't stack, but if you ran the build of; Unrelenting, Play With Your Food, Beast of Prey and BBQ and Chilli, then you could try to activate all of your perks for a +150% bonus across all categories.
I would rather run 1 useful (Bbq) /semi-useful (wglf) perk, and have 3 perk slots available and get double bp. Than run 4 perks that completely bork any idea of a good build to get triple bp.
Not too mention most of the perks you've selected are a mess of hot garbage.

I actually don't because I have not seen any evidence of that. One could also say that it could be the result of servers being introduced into the game. I have no evidence of that either.
What I do know if that, you will not learn unless you keep trying. Hence why I brought up the other game I just started playing where I was paired against a much more experienced killer while it was only my very first survivor match. You can still have fun learning.
To a point you are correct. However if you put a group of 10 year old kids in a 12th grade physics class, I would hazard a guess that not only would they not learn much, but it wouldnt be very fun either.

I think you're absolutely right. Many times I will play with 2 red rank friends, and we get a random rank 15 baby survivor who doesn't know how the game works. Basically not being a reliable survivor for obvious reasons, and becoming more of a hinderance to the match.
I think for that new survivor, that ultimately won't matter to them because they are just learning. I just hope that whatever MMR does is not negatively affect queue times. It is one of the worst things this game has going for itself.
It's bad when you can play other games in between because the queue times are that long.
You realise that a huge part of the queue time problem is as a result of the awful matchmaking right. I would love to play more killer but since more of my games have me completely outclassed than actually in a decent somewhat even match, i dont even bother playing more than a couple rounds a night, if at all.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
I keep reading posts regarding MMR, and honestly I haven't looked into it that much, but is it suppose to pair you against someone of "your skill level"?
I wanna share a little story. I recently started playing Home Sweet Home (fun game btw), a game which many of you are aware of. I had already played killer to level 3 and finally wanted to try survivor. So I skipped the tutorial and just wanted to go in basically to learn how the game worked on my own. Thankfully right before you go into a match it pretty much tells you exactly what you need to do as a survivor. So I go in, and the skill checks are a little bit harder than DBD, needless to say I kept getting found because I kept messing up. I sort of had an idea of how to evade but it didn't seem to be enough. So as you might have already guessed, yes I died first. 😂 This doesn't take away from how much fun I had learning AND getting my butt handed to me.
Anyway, the point of why I even bring up this is because when I checked their levels I was a level 3, two other survivors were between level 10-22, another survivor was level 5 and the killer was level 44. So as you can see there is a lot of disparity between all our levels.
I don't understand why DBD makes such a big deal when it comes to disparity in ranks or experience. I have been playing this game for over 5k hours now and I can tell you I still potato every now and then. I have a foundation that helps but if the killer is good, I no longer feel like I am in that safe zone.
Like, I think it might get to a place where you might face someone around your skill. I don't even think it will happen in every match, but if it is going to affect queue times in a negative way, I would rather take what I can if it means we will have faster queue times. I feel like that should be a part of what this system aims for.
Well i can tell you that as a 200 or so hour rank 12-15 killer, the game isnt very fun when im up against a team of 4 red ranks with well over 1k hours each. I personally cant wait wait for mmr.

It actually counts as a hook in the emblem system. I still get full devout of Iri if the last guy bleeds out.
If so then thats a bug because for an iri devout emblem you need 10 points.
1 point for hooking all 4
1 point for 9 or more hook actions
2 points per survivor for sacrifice/death/dc
0 points for bleed out death
Emblems are a new Ranking Mechanic that was implemented with Patch 1.9.4 into Dead by Daylight . 1 Overview 2 Survivor Emblems 2.1 Lightbringer 2.2 Unbroken 2.3 Benevolent 2.4 Evader 3 Killer Emblems 3.1 Gatekeeper 3.2 Devout 3.3 Malicious 3.4 Chaser 4 Emblem Qualities 5 Ranking 5.1 Pip Conditions 6 Change Log 6.1 Patch 2.0.0 6.2 Patch 2.3.0 6.3 Patch 3.0.0 7 Trivia The Emblem System is a replacement for the Victory Cube for Killers and the old Bloodpoint-related Rank Mechanic for Survivors. A PSo it would count towards iri if they were slugged and died to the egc timer because thats a sacrifice, but you wouldnt get points for a bleed out mid match.

I wouldn't mind that. Would put pressure on the survivors to hurry up and rescue them but at the same time, put pressure on the killer to either commit to a hook or lose points plus emblem needed to get Iri. I like this. One thing, make it count against the killer if someone does bleed out. You shouldn't get rewarded for leaving someone to bleed out on the floor as a hook in the emblem system.
In a bleed out the killer does not get emblem points for the kill so its already penalized in the emblem system. I would prefer adding a button that screams when on the ground to bring the killer to you.

Omg of course! I've booped before and had the good graces of a benevolent Pig so I won't disrespect that xD
I REALLY don't like to tunnel / camp people so I'm also excited to use Make Your Choice with her since it encourages leaving hook / going for others. I LOVE Whispers so I think I'll love it on her if you say so. Sadly I don't have as many Killer perks as I do Survivors (I usually play Survivor) so I'll have to work on that some.
But yesss, I'll def try to not tunnel ppl with a bear trap. That just seems scummy ;u; I wanna be jump scare Pig LOL
If you wanna go for gen grabs moniter and abuse Goes great with whispers as when whisper clicks on you can crouch and they wont hear your terror radius at all.
I personally love the pig dash, i like running medical file and video tape to double speed up dash charge and make it almost instant.
Also check out dowsey on youtube he did an hour of pig with 5 different builds lots of neat little tricks in there.

So I was playing a game of Myers with Save the Best for Last and I heard an Adam hide in a locker after saving someone. He was my obsession and so I took him out thinking, "Nice, I'm keeping my stacks because of this." He DC'd on hook and I thought, "Even better, I can't lose my stacks now!" However, I didn't gain any stacks throughout the match after that and simply kept the ones I already had (I didn't even really notice a difference in my cooldown since I only had two and couldn't gain any more). So here's my question: If the obsession DC's on death hook, do they effectively disable my ability to use stbfl and if so, why?
Basically once the obsession is no longer in the game you cant gain or lose stacks. This is good if you have lots of stacks, and bad if you have only a couple stacks. If you only have a couple stacks left you can try to tunnel survivors of hook to force a decisive strike to get a new obsession in the game.

How do you know they can't tell what if someone disconnects via keyboard commands? I believe it does matter. It affects everyone in the match negatively.
If they were able to tell the difference between an intentional and unintentional dc, intentional dcs would be punished more severely. Therefore since the data they would be tracking by tracking dcs would be inherently flawed there is little value in tracking it.

Do you realize that the chances of that actually happening are almost non existant, as the type of players who would do that probably dont spend any time on the forums.
So intstead your just throwing a shot at console players for no reason other than to make yourself feel better. Why not do everyone including yourself a favor and turn off crossplay and go play with all the other pc elitists, where something like this could never happen.
