they can call it whatever its a battlepass and most people have accepted its a predatory cash grab like lootboxes

You can maybe call it a cash grab which i dont really agree with personally and its definitely not like lootboxes because you know exactly whats available and you get it by paying a one time fee that gets reimbursed if you complete it, You can essentially get every one that comes out by buying it once, which i definitely wouldnt consider predatory

Possibly, I am not really sure. Maybe if they are within 16-24m from each other you can see them.

Ok let me throw this out there if you are wanting to change NOED.

Lets say your a nice killer your spreading damage and hooks, 1 gen left and everyone injured, last gen pops and suddenly everyone is full health because they have adrenaline. How do you counter that setup if you take away the exposed factor from NOED.

Yes I'm listing a pretty niche situation but one that a swf group could have in their pocket or even a partial swf and a couple of randos with the newly full health guys running the body block.

  • @EvanSnowWolf said:

Is that the WHOLE argument then? That's all you guys got? "It's ranged"?

Because mechanically it is no different than Billy charging the map and sawing you in half, and that's free.

Its alot easier to dodge a charging billy than a fully charged hatchet.

Does that make you a one hit down then? Even if you are at full health?

I know it’s not always possible, but couldn’t it be countered by cleansing all the totems before opening the gates.

Yes It does, but it activates when gens are completed not when the gate opens so you need to get rid of the totems before gens are done or find the totem before going for the gate.

There is also no notification that it is in the game until the killer actually hits someone, and a good killer will often try to hook that survivor near their totem so they can protect the totem and the hook at the same time

  • The biggest problem with it is not the add on itself although it is really strong on decent huntresses. It is usually run with infantry belt which gives 2 extra hatchets which a good huntress can use to down 2-3 people in under 15 seconds.

Also all other exposed mechanics have a set time frame, the only execptions are:

NOED which doesnt activate till endgame but its totem can still be cleansed which also goes for Devour hope after it activates.

And Infinite tier 3 myers but he sacrifices alot early game to be able to have it be infinite a good efficient group can usually be done half the gens before it activates

  • @WretchedElk said:

I see these posts a lot so, serious question, what does NOED actually do?

Its a hex perk so it can be cleansed and do nothing, or if it's active once all gens are done all survivors become exposed. Its a very solid counter to adrenaline or just a huge power spike for the killer in the endgame.

Focusing on one survivor only, and no-one else.

Due to the broken state of matchmaking i do this in games when ive determined that 1 person is the only one at or near my skill level. If i have already spent a minute and a half chasing you without getting a hit and you try to pull aggro im just going right past you i dont care if its a free hit you already had your chance.

  • Killer item - Earplugs, disables chase music for killer

  • Im just gonna throw this out there as a killer there are 2 situations that happen with me and DS and these are also my reactions.

    1. If i tunnel a little bit whether on purpose or by accident, to which my reaction is, yeah okay you got me lol.

    2. If i don't tunnel and get hit with DS because its being abused, to which my reaction is, welcome to tunneltown with wonderful stay over in camp city.

As for NOED, if your winning do your bones, if your already losing it doesnt really matter.

  • 4 times and then it can be multiplied by bbq and pudding. So lets say perfect match 32 000×4= 128 000 then bbq and pudding would make 128 000×3= 384 000 bloodpoints for a perfect match.

  • Are you absolutely sure you werent just both cleansing haunted groumd at the same time and thats why there was only one notification

  • I play on the one X and everytime i go into bloodlust the game like freezes for a half second, ive lost so many chases and missed so many hits because of that.

  • @WretchedElk said:

It loads quicker. The resolution is better (I think).

Not sure if there are other improvements.

Does it still stutter everytime you go into bloodlust

I don't give a damn who has a console or a pc. i thought you were the op responding to me and I responded as such in reference to your comments. I'm sorry I made a mistake. still if you want to berate someone for being on a pc vice your console because you "FEEL" there is a bit of superiority there then you are pushing the toxicity you say you are not. I spoke of facts, you read into it as if I was 1) on pc a fact I never dissclosed and you assumed but that was a correct assumption I am on a pc. 2) being a person that would say i'm superior to others because of their equipment which I am not.

To me a console will be inferior to a pc only because it can not be upgraded with a new bit of equipment (no new video card etc) and that is where the pc superiority ends over console now days.

I Will apologise as well it felt from your post that you were basically saying that cosole players didnt deserve the chat, because they wont have keyboards and will type too slow which is where the pc superiority comment came from.

I also dont care what people are playing on but social interaction about a game you enjoy should be an option for everyone. Some people will be toxic asshats no matter what platform they are on. I get toxic messages from pepple on console all the time but sometimes ive also got good tips that helped me play better, which is also why i jump over to twitch to chat with streamers i play against, which would be easier if the game chat was there.

"I would love to be able to talk to the other players after game.

Some console players are some of the most inconsiderate players I've come across, the type to sit in a locker the whole game and then grab the hatch. They need to be talked to after the game and informed they are not team players."

That is what you said the part of "They need to be talked to after the game and informed they are not team players." this is toxic because you are telling them HOW to play yet you expect not to be "TALKED TO" because you feel you are a team player etc. leave it be! LET THEM PLAY.

The "Keyboard argument" is a FACT, not weak and was not saying there can be no communication but on the console it'd be SLOW typing unless there was a physical keyboard involved. i'm not going to wait around on an end screen for someone to use hunt and peck typing that is espoused by the on screen keyboards. thus why they didn't include a chat window for the console clients and THAT right there is why there is no communication! THE DEVS DECIDED it wasn't worth it and left it off.

I didnt even quote the post your referring to i quoted the one about being inconsiderate and berating other people. My point was I dont do that i want to talk to people after a game so i can get better if you dont wanna stick around fine dont but some people will because they care about the health of the game and will offer help to newer players who aren't being dicks.

Your right the devs decided not to add it but the keyboard arguement is weak because some people do have keyboards or chatpads on controllers that allow for efficient chat.

Sounds to me youve got a little bit of that pc superiority showing through your post

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/220492/is-cross-platform-talkback-a-possibility

if your intention is to berate anyone, attack anyone no matter the reason then i hope you never get that chance. communication cross platform is dependent upon the client used. those on pc and the microsoft store, you can talk to those on steam as the client is the same. but those on console does not have this as they do not always have a keyboard attached.

stop using bad manners! if you don't like someone's game play just ignore them and move on. it's a game.

Im not toxic im a newer player as it is i will sometimes jump into pepples twitch streams so i can gg and chat about the game fishing for tips.

The keyboard arguement is a little weak, Rocket league has the same style post game chat and it works fine

Well... the fastes way to show a humen to swim is to throw him in the cold water.

    /s

Or y'know they drown and die

  • I killed myself on hook yesterday because screw iri head huntress

  • There's nothing in there that says you had to stay broken you could have cleansed and been at full health to go for the save.

  • @HawkAyeTheNoo said:

Just wondering but is survivors waiting at the exits wasting time as annoying as killers slugging making us bleed out instead of hooking, again wasting time?

Its all situational typically i would only do this if i think the person may have ds or has been super annoying (i.e clicky-clicky t-bagger) during the match or if i want the extra bp for closing hatch. Even then id rather just hook them and move on because i know they have a longer wait for the next match anyways. I'm also not very toxic when i play survivor because i hate all that clicky clicky tbag stuff so this doesnt happen to me like ever.

On the other hand lets say matchmaking really screws me over and i get a group of survivors waaayyyy out of my league. 3 gens get done before i get my first down and when i try to get my first hook the whole team is there to make sure i dont get it with multiple flashlights or a body block wiggle out. At this point the game is over for me because i know the rest of the gens are gonna be done before i get another down. Unless I'm running NOED there is no point, so i find my self a corner and just wait for the match to end, and have people running around clicking at me. Then when they finish the gens they come back so i open the gate and corner up again and still have them waiting till the timer runs out, and all i want is to move on to the next match.

So you tell me which one sounds more annoying

Ooooo do you mean the hide victor under the hook strategy

No the opposite hide victor somewhere else and control charlotte sitting next to the hook because sleeping charlotte and insidious charlotte can be very hard to tell apart. Take the first chase that comes and force a second person off gens to make the save.

  • Yeah the problem with that is the after midnight im playing solo and id rather play killer if I'm playing solo. Also the matchmaking is instantaneous at that time on the killer side and its usually 5 min + on the survivor side.

  • @BabyCameron10 said:

I wanted to try something with insidious on them. You know that Ultra rare add-on where if Victor is crushed when in idle the survivor is exposed? I kinda wanted to use insidious to stay close to Victor with Insidious and use him as bait. I haven’t tried it though.

You should try it with that add-on.

Thats a neat idea i will definitely have to try that next time i use them

  • I often have a really bad time as killer when i play late night. I'll usually play some duo survivor in the early evening central time and its not too bad, same with killer in the afternoons. But then i will play killer after midnight on my saturday sunday nights and my rank 12-14 killer almost always gets red and purple rank teams that beat the crap out of me.

Usually after 2 or 3 games i will quit after being constantly outmatched or will load up archive challenges and farm bloodpoints because thats all i can do.

  • I'm a horrible person but i run insidious for one play that i use once per match.

I get victor out and control charlotte but it looks like I'm controlling victor and camp 1 survivor once hit the huy coming for the rescue and get a free chase. It's a little dirty but also really funny because they dont see it coming, which is why i only do it once per match. Might not work so well anymore now that they've been out for a while.

I had 2 games where people sent me really angry messages and about 10 where someone congratulated me on a really nice trick.

  • I did this once to a really bad teammate. There was just me and them left and he had zpent more than half the game in lockers hadnt been hit once wouldnt heal anyone or do gens. When i got downed when i was on death hook and the killer was waiting out my ds i messaged them and said I'd lead them to the other guy so they could get their last stack of bbq because i was so mad. He said sure so i led him right to teammates locker so he could kill them. Killer gave me hatch too so it was kind of an awesome play since that guy threw the match for us.
