And survivors should be able to kill self when faced with a try hard slugging killer who keeps the second-to-last survivor on the ground to hunt down the last remaining survivor in a huge game of hide-and-seek (or they try and get the survivor to out the last one).

I wouldnt actually disagree with this as a QOL change with a couple conditions. Both remaining players are notified and Hatch does not spawn until bleedout timer would have elapsed naturally.

Can you make an elaborated argument other than speak the obvious?

    Certainly

    1. This would be incredibly unbalanced, Knockout would become meta and this would be absolutely busted against all but the most co-ordinated SWF groups.

    2. Being slugged sucks, there are 2 things to do, recover and crawl, and crawling is basically useless unless you have already recovered. This leads to number 3.

    3. Perk diversity: You would be essentially creating a perk that every survivor would need to run, which goes against the trend that the devs are leaning towards, i.e. basekit borrowed time, and nerfing self care.

    4. It would make it even less possible to have a chance in a 3v1 or 2v1 situation, and those situations are already in the killers favour.

    5. This would not lead to more teamwork this would lead to more survivors making stealth builds and playing for hatch as soon as 1 person gets slugged. Not to mention the increase in Dc's.

  • @psionic said:

The feature of recovering from the ground should be removed from survivor's basekit.

Survivors should need the help of another teammate to recover from the dying state since 0%.

The ability to recover from the dying state could be included in the Self-Care perk, so survivors can fully recover from the dying state without the help of a teammate, but at 25/30/35% of the normal healing speed. The recovery speed can only be increased with Unbreakable.

No, you dont want them to recover pick them up and hook them.

  • @not_requested49 said:

I know youre mad abt that one meg who stole your medkit but she can make it worse now by opening all the chests before you're even injured so how is this better? (Im talking abt the dev who was in charge of changing pharmacy complaining about that 1 meg who stole their medkit when using the old pharmacy)

But the community agrees that this change should not have happened and its less reliable now because by the time you are injured its likely the basement chest (the 1 guaranteed chest spawn) is already looted, rendering the perk moot

So please please PLEASE revert it or at the very least rework pharmacy to start with one token for a guaranteed medkit at any time, constant 80% chest speed, and an additional token every time you are injured, that way everyone wins becausr right now, the "buff" feels more like a nerf when the perk was already not meta

Would you be happier with the perk if you could only get one green med kit per match but it was tied to a rummage

  • @Maxi605 said:

What the title says. There's no reason for it, the survivor is penalized for not healing when they literally can't heal.

And sometimes being broken is the survivor's fault if they're running no mither Or just use their deliverance or for the people So no I would say that being broken should not make you immune to Thanatophobia

  • @Jensen said:

Hello, it would be nice if you could surrender the game as killer. As Suv you can just ######### but thats not possible as killer

My idea would be that as killer you can Open the gates anytime you want. So you can speed up the game, or make a challenge out of it depents on what you like.

I had it last time more often that i was qued with superior survivor, and they did not even want to win. They make everything up to 1 gen and than troll you for the rest of the time until you are frustratet or its getting to boring for them

Unfortunately the best you can do is afk, i always afk at the gate control, so as soon as they get the gens done, i can open the gate and then afk in corner while they fast vault and click their flashlights.

Basically if you stop giving them attention they will eventually go, i would however love the option of after opening the gates just walking out as the killer to save myself a couple minutes.

It's like you're saying your fridge is broken, but its better to have a broken fridge than none. im frightened to use the chat because of its filtering, im already thinking what will get filtered while typing a message.

You can fill a broken fridge with ice and use it as a cooler. It still is better than not having one.

How am I "letting them die", just because I didn't get caught doesn't mean I let them die LOL

As everyone on your team is getting 3 hooked, and you have deliverance ready to go, you never thought gee maybe i should take one for the team to get some pressure off. Especially since you know you can get off the hook yourself thats pretty crappy teamwork, and you making a selfish decision.

Nope sorry at that point you dont deserve to get off the hook.

  • @Juwlz said:

    Hey there,

first of all, sorry for spelling or grammar mistakes, my english isnt the best.

The point im trying to make here is that the chat filter system is completly horrible... I get that its kinda relevant what you typed before and that the system considers more than just a single word.

What i dont get is that this filters so much of what were typing, that its sometímes just misleading for the person reading it. it sounds much more disrespectful if half of what im written is just "######". For example if i write "Mate you looped him so hard" and the only thing comming through is "Mate you #####_### so hard" it just sounds wrong and i cant even correct myself because its going to filter my correction too. Also some of the filtered words are character names for example one time even Jane Romero got filtered.. i mean come on.

Why is this the case since i began playing 5 years ago? Its such a little detail which makes communicating in a friendly manner so much harder...

Just be thankful you have chat at all Mate

10 seconds was similar to what cod MP matches had. Since most survivors barely work together anyway. And repairs take way longer than they should since starbreeze had a nut over their killers. 10 seconds would be enough time to run and scatter and or plan your next move. Starbreeze removed the game timer that was on the screen to see when the doors would open on their own. They removed lots of early features because killer players complained.

    What the heck is starbreeze?

How are you getting downed in the first 10 seconds?

  • @Akumakaji said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3174830#Comment_3174830

Its not that big of a deal, but a big time waster and again just spite from the survivors side without gaining anything by doing so, because they will be dying anyway. Ok, here is the (probable) clarification:

with Boil Over survivors can make it literally impossible to hook them in certain parts of the maps, under certain conditons. Not just by using the hight advantage, but also by just running into a remote corner. I had one such exact situation on the Ironworks of Misery map. I versed a pretty tough and anoying bully squad who eventually made some mistakes leading to everyones death. In the far corner of the map, the rather long stretch behind the shack, there I hooked a survivor and downed the last one who came for the rescue. The survivor on the hook died soon after, leaving me with just the downed survivor and no hook in that area. The next hook was past the killer shack in the cluttered field. I tried about 5 times to carry the survivor over there, but because of Boil Over I would constantly hit all kind of clutter and walls and never made it. The survivor would then run back into the corner and get downed again.

Rinse, repeat. In the end I let him bleed out for the full 4 mins (probably 2 1/2min worth of bleedout left at that momen). This got nothing to do with "Oh, so you expect the survivors to roll over and die, just because thats convenient for you" or "lol you expect them to just die without a fight? I got no sympathy for you". The player in this situation had literally no option to get out of this alive. The hatch was not close or in sight and had he run further into the map I would have easily downed and hooked him on one of the hooks over there. Playing this way didn't serve any other purpos then to annoy me and to spite me. Bleeding out doesn't give you any more points or a trophy or anything. It only wastes everyones times. And this can become very tedious and taxing when you see this kind of behaviour every now and again.

When I am in such a situation I usually crawl into an open space and hope that the killer spots and hooks me, ending the game in 10s, not 3 1/2min while staring at some remote corner of the map.

Since they arent getting survival points for escaping they may just be trying to farm whatever survival points they can get from wiggling out and recovering while also farming boldness points from the chase

Do you not understand what hiding means?.....not doing any objectives and waiting for god knows what.

As for breaking the wall.......lemme see, if I say DEAD END room I mean no outs bud.

Well what were you doing trying to hook the survivor with boil over or patrolling gens to find the other person, if your trying to hook how do you know what the other person was doing?

  • @NemmyMan3000 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3174830#Comment_3174830

    Ok here you go...

Dead Dawg, 2 surv dead, 1 hiding, the other going into the dead end room with BO....thats them losing and trying to prolong the game instead of just simply moving on.

When a surv has max BO and the only hook around is on the bottom floor and I simply cannot get him to the hook because the slightest I even fall off the steps he gets off.

I will admit, I used "abused" poorly in my case.

Well thats pretty simple one person is buying the other person time to do gens, thats not losing. Also im pretty sure those rooms have breakable walls so you can shorten your trip to the hook and still get them if you do it right.

  • @Knotty1985 said:

Deliverance is a great perk but it has one major flaw in game dynamic, if I've never been hooked and everyone else is dead or escaped, why do I not get the chance to escape before going straight to second phase and dying.

Everyone who has never been hooked should get their chances to escape making deliverance worth while if your the last survivor and have activated it.

I don't know how many times I've helped other players get off the hook or took a chase to help them escape to get down knowing I could get off the hook, only for them to leave and then I don't get my chance because such a stupid rule exists that prevents the last survivor on first hook from getting an opportunity to try and get off the hook.

EDIT: Just to add it also makes slippery meat worth while too

Why are you letting your whole team die before you get hooked?

  • @Peoplesmachine said:

This needs to be added back in. There used to be spawn protection when it first launched. 10 seconds is fair considering that starbreeze only cares about the killers with cloaking which you can not counter, teleportation which you can not counter and masking heartbeat which you can not counter and since every survivor has the basic same perks, we need something to help out.

    Huh?

  • @skylerbound said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3174818#Comment_3174818

Normally I would in this case the hooks were line of sight next to each other. I waited for him to get closer to other hook but person A was nearing second stage. Unfortunate set up but alas it was what it was

Did you make an attempt to block for the person you unhooked?

    Did you take a hit?

I realize you were injured but you could've made it more convenient to hook you than chase the other guy, it doesnt work all the time, but often you can get them to get you instead.

I alwaya run sabotage for these situations either they break it up to get me or i make it real hard to get that next hook on the person i unhook.

It has nothing to do with a 1v1. Survivors just don't want to be tunneled. 5 seconds were great to punish the killer for that. 3 seconds not so much. It needs to go back to 5 seconds.

Yeah but killers also dont want to be hit with a 5 second DS when they are not tunnelling which still does happen.

Edit: Not 5 sec obviously but 3 sec.

If you can figure out how to fix that then maybe i would agree.

However it was never supposed to be 5 seconds it was made 5 sec when the DS stun was affected by enduring and then when they fixed it so enduring didnt trigger on that stun they didnt revert it.

Well hold on did you camp the survivor on the hook, or were you searching the area around the hook, these are 2 different things.

  • I'll just outright say it, yes you are.

  • @Nos37 said:

Knowing the hatch's location is heavily in the killer's favor.

There's only one scenario where it could ever be in the survivor's favor:

    1. The corresponding structure is present on the map (the offering spawns hatch at shack and the map has a shack)
    2. The survivor has a key
    3. That survivor is the last remaining survivor
    4. The hatch did not spawn between both exit gates, and is far away from the killer's patrol path between gates or any tall sight vantages that might be used to watch the gates

Mostly because both sides can play them, and if the killer played one it would be even more in their favor if it was secret.

A better question is why do the survivors have an offering to control basement.

  • @Ratroe said:

Often, survivors will spend valuable time trying to heal someone who's being affected by Broken, before realizing they are unable to.

In many of my matches, usually when I'm running No Mither, my allies will spend ~5 seconds trying to heal me before they realize that I have the Broken status effect. I have almost 2000hrs and I have done the same thing myself a good handful of times.

My idea is to make it contextually visible when near a Broken survivor that you cannot heal them, perhaps something that would replace/be near the usual healing progress bar.

    Thank y'all for any consideration!

I can conquer any killer with that perk for instance when inside of building in Crotonus or inside buildings on Shape map, just any killer with K&M, that are the facts .

A decent killer is gonna figure out that you have it, and then just slug you anytime they down you and arent in a position to hook you. Eventually they will either catch you in the open, or you'll bleed out from being slugged so many times.

  • @unused_nick said:

I don't know what devs are thinking, but at certain maps advantage of using it is much too much strong, when you have to go outside buildings etc.

It really isnt lol. If you get hit with boil over more than once by the same survivor that is a major skill issue. Once you know they have it, its pretty easy to counter.

As to your actual point, yeah there is gonna be more killer bm, after years of being bullied by survivors lots of killers are gonna take their chance to give it back.

Also you have the survivors who used to bm but cant anymore because their crutches are gone and have switched to playing killer so they can be toxic there.

A little uncalled for, but considering your tone, not ultimately surprising that having friends would be an issue for you.

Thankfully that's completely irrelevant to my suggestion, my suggestion was to look into groups of players already playing custom games looking for players. As a result of doing that you may make friends to play with, or at the very least find that casual experience with a handful of random people also looking for the same experience.

If he thinks getting a matchmaking penalty is annoying, wait till all those groups refuse to play with him at all because he leaves all the time.

Well thats where finding the right group in terms of skill and temperament comes in. Since the matchmaking is what seems to be the most frustrating for them.

  • @Youhadabadday said:

Coming back to this after getting another hour long matchmaking ban, and I feel like I've kinda figured out why I'm DCing so much: I'm playing a game casually with a community that treats the game competitively. Hence, why the DC Bans and all this ranking ######### exists. I don't want to be locked in a match where everyone other than me is tryharding, especially in a situation where the people I'm matched up with are SWFs and High-ranks that have no reason to be matched up against someone who has no idea what the hell they need to do mechanically. If Behaviour finally got around to creating solo-play, or even created an entire mode dedicated to casual play, with No DC penalties or rank progression, then maybe I can actually have a more enjoyable time playing this damn game without having to be locked in a match where the game just randomly decided that it would throw something at me that I have no way to properly counter. It would be a win-win for everyone. I will no longer have reason to complain about what the community deems is a good move by the devs and play in a match that is more suited to my tastes, and those who treat the game seriously can continue to play without my potential toxicity getting in the way.

You do realize the game has the mode you are looking for, its called custom games.

I know on xbox there are plenty of groups looking for people to play customs with and I'd assume there are on other platforms as well, reddit the dbd community discord look around try some groups play for fun and make friends if thats how you want to play. They already gave you the tools you just gotta use them.

it does not work that way. There are no different types of survivors. By the same logic - blocking 1 type of item X 33 "different" survivors. Waaay too punishing...

Or OK. Block 1 survivor - it sounds like it gives no benefit, but it does. If someone mains 1 survivor and that one is banned, he will not get access to his perks/items. It's very negligible, but it does something. Does that sound bad? Of course it does. Because it is bad. Same as banning 1 of 5 (but in fact 1 in 3 - because maps and keys are totally worthless) item types. Or OK. maybe 1 of 6 because I should probably count firecracker as distinct item from flashlight (but that ain't so for lightborn).

If the survivors get to dictate what killers they get to face, then killers should be able to dictate what items are allowed.

Survivors block potentially 4 killers with a multitude of addons, lets say some people have the same and average it at 2 blocked killers.

Killers should get to block 2 item types then. No medkits or tool boxes for me thanks.

You might still get lucky and find them in chests

1 … 16 17 18 19 20 … 33
