But then again... will this bp offering change do something about the toxicity in the game? I mean... it won't change the amount of people that bm you out of spite... don't let stuff like that get too close to you... If it bothers you that much, then maybe take a break or so... I mean... The go next thing is not about actually playing another match but more about the mentality of being done with it, getting over it and so on... It is just a game why should some dude miles away have the power to make your day worse dude? If you feel like a game does not give you joy go next... Find something else man :D I stopped playing dbd last year for like 6 months because I got tired of that and since I came back in January or so I have no issue with that what so ever... If a killer really wants me dead sure he can have me no problem... I can go next in like 5 seconds of queue and he has to wait for 10 minutes after staring at a hook for 2 minutes... At this point he is not even playing a game... He is basically watching a 2 minute clip... and that is really pathetic... on one side that this is actually a thing in this game after so long and on the other hand that somebody values winning so so much that he is willing to basically not even play... I will never get people that do that... Want to stare at something for 2 minutes and feel good about yourself? Go on youtube and watch a video about puppies or sth. far less pathetic...
You’re right. The BP offering won’t change anything, especially since you can’t distinguish between which players will be toxic or not. I was just pretty frustrated after playing a string of matches against players similar to the type that you just mentioned, which had a lot to do with me making this post.
Thank you for your reply, man. Reading that helped. It gives me a lot to think about regarding my mindset when playing this game. I’ll probably end up taking a break from this game as well to focus on something else. Thanks again :).

I've always been of the mindset that the bound envelope should give +25% to everybody and that the killer should have an equivalent offering of this. You never know how a killer or survivor is going to act pre-match, so why make exclusive offerings that benefit some group of people but not others? You shouldn't feel bad that you wanted to be nice and give bp to others even if it did not turn out how you expected as at least you were trying to be nice at the end of the day and still helped out someone in the match with it. Additionally, as @Archol123 stated, a camping killer won't get much bp anyway at the end of the match.
I never said I had problems with a killer that’s playing to win and “not being nice” earning extra BP. There is a difference between a player not being nice and purposefully BMing someone though.
It does feel bad when you have limited time and you can’t even play multiple matches in a row because someone is singling you out (not for the purpose of winning, but to just be toxic).

Not really... I mean I said "if the killer is not playing nice, ..." so I never said it about all killers... I mean... Facecamping someone can also be a valid strategy.. And I mean he can either stare at you or hit you on hook or nod at you... Does this make it any more toxic? Nodding at people can often be fun xD Make wesker accidentally vault a window in an upstairs building... not at him from the window... always hillarious... So I don't think the nodding in itself is toxic... The facecamping is probably the main thing that annoys you but same as tunneling a somewhat strategy...
I mean... the guy is clearly facecamping and not leaving... So he can now either sit there for 2 minutes and do nothing or at least do some stuff to make it more entertaining for himself... He is already not getting as many bp as he would get if he played normally XD So why care about the bonus bp? You really should not care about (even toxic) players getting bp...
When you have a limited time to play a game and you’re not able to play it because certain players are BMing you, of course that’s going to annoy someone. Not everyone has a lot of free time to play this game all the time. Not everyone has time to just move on to the next match.

That's not very convivial. I think it would only make things worse.
I have no problems with killer players getting extra BP and playing to win. This post was directed towards those who just BM on purpose, which is completely different.

How about all bp offerings count for everyone? You mostly don't use flans to give other people bp but because you want them yourselves... Even if the killer is not playing nice why does it bother you that he gets bp? I mean he probably would have gotten more if he just played normally so he is already at a disadvantage... Mate you really should not care about stuff like that...
There are wrong assumptions in your reply. I never claimed to be annoyed by regular killer players getting BP (only the ones that purposefully BM you). Tunneling to win is a valid strategy, which is very different from someone playing for the sole purpose of being toxic.

At the very least, they could have made this a 1 million BP code for Prime members.
Such a stingy reward, especially considering they randomly gave 300,000 BP for free to everyone recently with a code.
This is pretty disappointing.

I know when I'm going to get hate mail. Certain things in certain games seem to trigget people and I know when they're coming.
My last batch was for letting 2 bleed out for about 80 seconds after I dropped them twice due to lack of hooks down stairs in the game, so wasn't looking to get a 3rd drop, so left them for about 80 seconds whilst I went and broke a walls.
Got hate mail from those salty americans that use words like ass and suck 🤣
Yeah, that’s not even toxic so it’s ridiculous that you would get toxic messages from survivor players for playing efficiently.
It’s so dumb getting messages from players on both sides just because you were playing well (especially with no BMing involved).

I was banned for 24 hours because of internet connection is that fair??
I mean if you’re aware that you have bad internet, why play a game that depends entirely on your internet connection?
Every time you’re disconnected, it ruins the experience for the other players (even if it wasn’t intentional).
If there was no D/C penalty, you would just continue ruining the game experience for people that maintain a stable connection in their matches. That just seems very selfish IMO.

Yup, facing killers like this is becoming pretty frequent in this game. This is why I never use Flans anymore despite having hundreds of them. Just waiting until we can get survivor buffs in a future patch to bring balance back to this game.

Its usually survivors that are toxic af
That’s not true at all if you’ve ever played both sides.

Playing survivor is really bad right now. They nerfed everything. Even perks like Spinechill got ruined, I never use it now
Yeah, playing survivor is pretty awful right now unless you’re in a 4 team SwF group. I don’t mind the nerfs to Spine Chill and Dead Hard and the increased gen times, but there was no need for the speed nerf after being hit and the basic attack/pallet & gen break cooldown.
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I also hate how challenges have become such a big focus for players. If you’re not being screwed over in a regular solo queue game, you’re being screwed over by people focused on completing challenges above all else.

Yeah, the amount of toxic killers that are prevalent in most matches after the major patch in August is irritating
By toxic, I’m not even referring to tunneling/camping. It’s just constant BMing in almost every match and it’s extremely frustrating, especially when you bring Flan or a BP streamer.
-
I don’t think the original Dead Hard should be brought back, because it was pretty unfair.
However, the speed boost nerf after a hit for survivors and the buffed basic attack cooldown for killer should be reversed.
-
I want to love this update, but the playerbase has been downright awful for every single match I’ve been in since the patch hit yesterday. I’m either matched with teammates that are completely new to the game or being toxic to other survivors.
And this isn’t even taking into account the number of toxic killer players that are griefing

They did not kill Reassurance, it’s still broken and needs a nerf asap.
The only ones that think this needs a nerf are the ones who play with the intention of camping.
-
What’s the point of even spending money on future Battlepass rifts if BHVR is just going to recycle their cosmetics and put them on Prime Gaming?
I was looking forward to the new cosmetic for August, but I’m very disappointed. I can’t even redeem the code, because it’s the exact same cosmetic from a previous rift (not even a recolor)
-
I don’t think there was any need for the nerf to the speed boost after the hit in the first place.
When playing killer, Dead Hard to gain distance and the 2nd chance perks that guaranteed a survivor an escape in the endgame were the frustrating aspects to deal with. The nerf to those perks were more than enough.
