Impailng wire feels so basekit it hurts. A lesser ppwered version of it should be on him at all times. The Box gremlin builds are pretty humorous but this is a high skill killer with moderate pay off. Inferior to blight, nurse and humtress even with good add ons. That mot necessarily a bad thing but pretending hes top tier killer would be disengenious.

    So just stick to Huntress?

The amount of people that post unedited videos here thinking it's support makes me doubt the validity of "everyone knows about the reporting process". And this isn't accounting for the people that don't use the Forums either

Well they probably do that because in game reports do little to nothing at all. The problem lies in the fact its an extremely known problem and so far we have gotten no solution and when someone rightfully complains they shouldn't be met with mockery by mods. Its tiring seeing the same post about hackers 24/7 yes but BHVR needs to realize if they want people to stop complaining about it they need to switch off EAC. Its called 'easy anti cheat' for a reason.

"Are you familiar with the reporting process" sounds like a genuine question of "Hey if you didn't know this is what you're meant to do" though lmao

I mean its extremely obvious everyone knows about the reporting process there's literally a button for it right next to everyone's username and she's asking someone who's played the game for at least 2 years. Its just the reports do actually nothing and if they do its MONTHS later.

  • "Are you familiar with the reporting process?" is a rude and snarky redundant question

  • @Coordi said:

Are you familiar with the reporting process? In game reports are mandatory, and support is able to receive additional evidence (such as a recording) to assist with the report. Reports are vital, and I wanted to appreciate in advance if you've already taken those steps!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/kb/articles/139-game-rules

Being rude and snarky isn't the best way to handle with genuine customer complaints I'm sorry. I literally reported someone a month ago for hacking with video proof and everything and have not heard a peep from support since.

  • I think its more survivor sided than old haddonfield seeing as how many HUGE broken windows there are

  • Yun-Jin's blue set actually doesn't need to be locked at all. All the pieces work perfectly fine as standalone pieces esp the shorts and hair. The torso has slight clipping but they could just link the Torso to the shorts but not vice versa since the shorts n boots are easily some of the cutest outfits

Bill is the only one I would consider an "old man." The others are older, sure. But op said Granny.

Tapp you can say just looks older. Ash was born in 1957 so that means hes at least 57+ as in Ashe Vs Evil Dead series in 2014 he was 57 which was around the time he was taken. And Ace is at least 50-60 easily

  • @brokedownpalace said:

I'd rather have the blacklist that OW has.

    Yeah but this game doesn't

    A. Have enough players for that system

    B. Would literally punish good players and do nothing to prevent toxicity because you can just blacklist your enemies who irritate you making their queues 10x longer

  • @Chocolate_Cosmos said:

Hmmm... it would be probably complicated system that would not help super much so "not worth the time wasting making it".

However I would like some "like" button on players so they can have some little extra. Some kind of karma system. If you DC you lose karma (or if you are reported and soft-banned for flaming, etc.) you lose karma.

Of course this wouldn't work if you play with SWF group because that would be easy to abuse and free "likes". But something is telling me you could still abuse it somehow (sniping lobbies with same people to give each other likes, etc.)

Long story short, too complicated, not worth "wasting time" on it.

Well we do have a like button its just useless. Hence why I wanna add some incentive to use it. Killer is worth more so you're more likely to not be toxic towards killers and survivors are worth 5000 each so I think an additional 35,000 BP per match is a decent incentive but if they wanted to up the BP count they could.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

would be cool also how would the weekly reward for the level work then because overwatch has it where you get a certain amount of lootboxes

Well we DO have a lootbox system in DBD mobile ASIA VER so it could be those. Each lootbox grants you 1 free cosmetic piece or possibly full cosmetic set from uncommon rarity to Very Rare rarity. Get 1 per week as long as you achieve like 50 total likes in a week.

  • I never understood why killers have DC penalties since them leaving means 0 to survivors and as a survivor you're rewarded for it

You literally just compared LGBTQAI+ people to “zoo animals” while calling yourself “normal person on the street”. If that’s the case I’ll be a zoo animal, if it means that I can count this as a win and choose to celebrate it.

The best thing about it is that you can choose to participate/celebrate OR not, and no one will judge you for it. Just like you shouldn’t judge if someone wants to write up a long post about why it means that it does to them.

Me when I take what someone said and twist to mean something different lol. I didn't say LGBT people are zoo animals I said we're being TREATED like zoo animals when a company takes an LGBT character and says "LOOK AT THIS WE HAVE A NEW GAY CHARACTER WOW LOOK HES GAY HES GAY NOW LOOK OVER HERE HES GAY!!!!" ######### else is that supposed to be?

And what about it was a huge deal? The post? Yeah, maybe it wasn't necessary and just a post like "Explore the new tome, where we get to dive into x and y's past, and get to learn more about the past of our first LGBTQIA2S+ character, David King" would have worked better.

Was the tome a big deal? I bet if they made a tome with Nurse and her husband, no one would complain that they make a big deal about Nurse being straight.

And this is a problem of modern society. Whenever LGBT people get representation, it's said to be forced or being made a huge deal. No, that's not the case. It's simply the fact that when straight people are represented, no one cares, but when it's LGBT, it's suddenly forced , because you're not used to it.

Not really because Nurse's husband has always been a core part of her backstory. David being gay has never been mentioned til now and all of sudden its all his character has become his entire backstory is now revolving around David being gay along with a huge announcement over it + a new terrible cosmetic that looks straight out of stereotypeville

I don't get how the devs standing in acceptance of a group that has been utterly marginalized and continues to be in 2022 (especially in other countries) makes it look like they are zoo animals.

I know this may come as a shocker to you, but we are far off from being treated like “normal people walking the streets”. Part of that is due to the exclusion and discrimination that we still face. BHVR is showing that they are in support of what we stand for which is love. By including characters where their stories are relateable to an outsider that has been made to feel that way is one of those ways.

If you guys continue to ignore what I said then why're you guys still @'ing me? I didn't say anything about him being gay I said it shouldn't be a big deal he's gay and its not worthy of a huge long blog post for it.

oh, it actually appears I misread that, I thought you said the contrary, sorry, however, you still said another thing.

Then take DBD with everything they do LGBT related has to be a big issue and a big spectacle. It makes people irritated, annoyed, misrepresented, stereotyped, etc etc. No one likes when one meaningless part of someone's self is made into a performance so why would being LGBT be any different when all doing things like this does is alienate being LGBT from society further and pushes a further idea that you're inherently separated from the rest of society for being how you are instead of normalizing it and treating it like its something that people are born with and something people just are.

So alas, my point still stands. How in the #########, does representation alienate someone?

Your arguments are, at best, flawed.

How many times do I have to state its not representation its how that representation is handled. Posting it up like its a huge deal alienates being LGBT because it inherently marks being LGBT as different. If more people see normalized LGBT characters its easier to simply say "Yes I'm gay." or "Yes I'm trans." and have it be seen as something normal. When you're actively promoting it as something different or something that isn't normal it makes it seem that way and it makes other people see it as different from being 'the norm'. While David may not be written in this extreme way, the announcement of it and adding a whole separate tome talking about it was being over the top with announcing it and overall does separate being gay from being straight when the goal should be treating both as the same and both as normal.

I'm literally gay and a cross dresser. I am literally in the LGBT so idk what your point was

Representation isn't really a big deal

    No this is why.

Like - @GoodBoyKaru has like a 300 page thesis over why representation matters, It's literally on the ######### forum as well, educate yourself before saying something stupid.

I've seen pretty much everyone state why they think its a big deal and I'm just saying in reality it isn't and most of the time it just does more harm for the group than good if it isn't done correctly. Like take overwatch, in my entire years of playing it I've never seen people tunnel tracers or soldiers out for being LGBT. I'm sure its happened but it doesn't happen often in any way because they were handled well. Not even saying anything on him being gay just how they handled it. He's already had a tome which could've confirmed his bisexuality yet they decided to announce it now and make it a show on top of that.

Because queer people are severely underrepresented in media. It's a big deal when something as established as DBD gets their first queer character. It's important for a lot of people, maybe not you, but don't try and make it not special for other people

Okay once again so are Chinese people in pretty much every countries media besides Asia lol. Im not taking it away Im just saying representation isn't really a big deal in general and they did it terribly. They've done all but slap it on a building in times square just to announce some character likes dudes. Have your representation but its not a big deal at the end of the day its just another person and it feels genuinely embarrassing they're making it such a big deal.

I am sorry but you've severely misunderstood what I am saying. I am also not arguing, I'm trying to you know... Have a discussion? Read my first post again. I agree that the map is survivor sided still. BUT it's such a drastic improvement over old Haddonfield that I think complaining about a few windows is unwarranted this early after it dropped on live servers. Maybe give it some time to see if everyone else has the same issues and then try and change it. There are much worse maps that need changing before this new iteration of Haddonfield

You forget most people have played it already and had these issues when it was on the PTB. This is a new issue for console players yes but not PC players.

You keep making assumptions out of anger. I am LGBT+ as well and I think it's great we finally have some representation in the game. And I am honestly kind of insulted you would compare the struggle of being LGBT+ with being a teacher, one of which isn't a CHOICE. It's important to emphasise when your characters are queer so people can relate to it and see that they're being represented. But oh well, I've had enough talking about this over the past few days. Have a nice day man

Where was I angry or making assumptions? I asked a hypothetical thats not an assumption lol. And okay it isn't a choice cool I also said that. I also mentioned being Chinese since that isn't a choice either. Point is, being gay or LGBT is nothing special its nothing that makes someone cool or a loser or a bad or good person. Its just a fact of life for people so why is it such a big deal?

  • @calem said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2926910#Comment_2926910

You are making such huge assumptions here. If you bothered to actually read my posts, I initially said that I still think it's survivor sided if they know how to run the houses. I verse a lot of good survivors and I can tell when they are better than others. I'm done with this though, you don't seem like someone who is open to a discussion when you've already made your mind up.

If you agree with me then why're you trying to argue? I don't understand your point so now you think I'm right?

  • @thrawn3054 said:

Took less than a day for the complaints to start.

I played on the PTB and was okay with it because it was assumed to be a bug since they did say there was a lot of spawn bugs which made the map very survivor sided so when they dropped on live still unfixed I think I have a right to complain

  • @calem said:

It's very tone deaf of you to compare the struggle of LGBT+ representation in media to... being a teacher?

Im literally LGBT I'm comparing 2 miniscule meaningless things to each other. Someones a teacher cool someones gay cool there's no need to make such an emphasis on either. Only difference is ones a job another is just something someone is. Im Chinese do you think I should rejoice with joy because Feng Min exists in the game?

  • @calem said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2926832#Comment_2926832

They did more than fix a "couple" issues. The map has drastically changed in nearly every way. I don't see an issue with a few good windows on the map when the rest of the tiles can usually be mind-gamed. I have been playing new Legion since the update and getting Haddonfield A LOT, I am having no problems with it.

Yeah cause you're not going against good survivors. They're not 'good' windows they're god windows which when played correctly an M1 killer CANNOT ever catch up before at least 4 gens pop.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2926831#Comment_2926831

I disagree. If the tomes don't make any other subject look like a spectacle, then a tome about a character being LGBT doesn't either, and the twitter announcement is at least partially because people were asking about it up until now.

The other part is that representation is an important thing many, many, many stories are lacking, or not taking seriously. If it were just a twitter post announcing David to be gay and that's it, sure, I'd agree, but it's announcing the story being told, which is a very different vibe.

No its not announcing a story being told it literally just is an entire thing about "LOOK WE MADE A GAY CHARACTER!!!!!". The story being told is revolving around one specific part of a character and making it their entire personality trait. You wouldn't see them making a whole page long twitter announcement about Adam being confirmed as a teacher n stuff.

  • @calem said:

Honestly I am just grateful at this point that the map was heavily nerfed at all.

Old Haddonfield had: Nearly every house had a god window, pallets at basically every car in the middle of map, long fences that were abysmal for killers with no mobility, OG house of pain layout, "safe" spaces like on the balcony of Myer's house where you could sit and wait for the killer to go upstairs and then hop down, next to no dead-zones, easy to find totem spawns, and the possibility for heavily biased exit gates for either side

New Haddonfield: Looks way better graphically, has dead-zones, less loops in the middle of the map at cars, less houses (even though every house has "god" windows, it's good there isn't as many), a different house of pain layout, better gen spawns for killer, better totem spawns for killer, set exit gate spawns that isn't too favourable for either side.

Overall, I do think the map is still in the survivors favour if played correctly. The houses still serve as safe spot for survivors if they know how to run them. However, if looping outside of houses, it's quite easy to get hits or mind-game most of the loops (bar a few car loops and those hedge ones that are extremely long and unable to mind-game). It is a drastic improvement over the old Haddonfield and I no longer feel like DC'ing when I load into it as killer. I wish older reworks of maps were like this (e.g. The Game and how awful that rework is).

So because they fixed a couple issues that means others should be ignored? Weird way of thinking.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2926786#Comment_2926786

It shouldn't revolve around that fact, but if they're going to be holding it up as representation and not just a side detail, it should be relevant to the story being told.

Which is the major difference between something like Soldier 76 and what BHVR's doing with David. It's not just baseless spectacle for brownie points, they're telling a story with it and letting it matter.

Now, I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with them also having new or even existing characters simply exist as LGBT without that facet of their identity having a whole tome devoted to it, but there's also nothing wrong with them choosing to take it seriously and tell a proper story with it either. Personally, I like that it's more substantial than simply noting his orientation and moving on, and I certainly don't think that makes it a "huge ordeal and spectacle"- it's obviously a good and reasonable thing for stories that are about LGBT people to exist, so what's the issue with it happening here?

The fact they needed to devout an entire tome and make a huge twitter announcement over the fact a character is gay. It literally makes LGBT people look more like a spectacle and a zoo animal then it makes us look like normal everyday people who you'd see walking the street.

  • @jesterkind said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2926766#Comment_2926766

Tracer yes, Soldier no- at least within the context of their game.

Tracer's girlfriend is a named character, she's in some of the comics, and Tracer has some voice lines about her in-game. It's pretty lightweight, but Overwatch has pretty lightweight stories and lore anyway so it's in keeping with how the rest of the game's characterisation works. It's already not enough for DBD since DBD handles its characters and stories differently, but for Overwatch it was perfectly adequate.

Now, I might be mistaken since I stopped paying attention after a while, but as far as I'm aware Soldier being gay has never come up again? Does his boyfriend even have a name? It's not exactly particularly exciting representation when it's mentioned almost like an afterthought and nothing is ever done with it.

Either way; the reason to make it a big reveal is that it matters. Representation is lacking overall and especially in this game, so making a tweet saying that they're fixing that flaw is perfectly reasonable. Besides, it's in a tome, it makes sense they'd wanna show off the cool new revelation in their stories.

It really doesn't though? Who cares if his ex boyfriend isn't talked about anymore like its really not a big deal. LGBT people aren't only LGBT my life doesn't revolve around me being gay so why should Soldiers and Tracers or David's? Why should it be a huge ordeal and spectacle that anyones gay especially when no one in DBD was even confirmed straight just at most bi? If you wanna make gay people or trans people feel like a normal everyday thing you treat it like a normal everyday thing not a huge show that needs to be announced at every corner.

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

I know what their thought process was okay we’re taking away lots of pallets, shrinking the map, making gen spawns better, making some deadzones. So they figured boosting the windows was the solution. Which makes it balanced but perhaps boring

They could've just kept it dark and made it more stealth orientated lol. Having one decent window per house that all killers could reasonably counter if they're better than survivors is fine even but having 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 God windows across the map with extra really good windows in close proximity...its terrible design wise.

  • @jesterkind said:

I dunno, considering that they're doing it properly (IE, making it a proper part of the story and not just mentioning it offhand a la Soldier 76) I think it's a little more defensible that it took time.

BVHR work slowly in general, but at least this delay was for them to do something substantial, not just confirm a character as gay and leave it at that, y'know?

The way soldiers and Tracers was handled was probably best. They didn't make it a huge deal, they didn't make it some big reveal, they didn't even talk on it they just casually mentioned he had a boyfriend. How isn't that a good way of handling it?

Wow that was a quick reply! I know there's a whole lot you guys can't discuss so no worries on that. I was just hoping that more of the characters we've come to love over so many years haven't been hit with the retroactive heterosexualizing beam haha. But thank you for the reply! Either way I look forward to seeing what's planned.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2926541#Comment_2926541

Yeah I don't fully get the flak. There's nothing wrong with David having dated women before realizing he's gay. There's nothing wrong with saying an established character is gay/bi/trans, especially since there is nothing in the lore to have contradicted any of it. It's been integrated naturally with his character, and he is a notable, popular character who has been around a long time, so it still has meaning to people. My hope was that it just wouldn't stop there, or lead to accidentally restricting other LGBT+ interpretations of characters. But in terms of companies adding LGBT+ characters to their properties, and a history of it being done incredibly clumsily, I think BHVR has done alright.

Probably because they decided to make it some great big spectacle. "LOOK OVER HERE WE HAVE A GAY CHARACTER LOOK THIS CHARACTERS GAY WOW LOOK HES GAY ISNT THAT COOL!" Esp them picking David it feels like a huge PR stunt. I mean it was assumed they'd make it this way when they made a huge deal about adding an LGBT character in the future but now its just the same thing. Feels more like a zoo who got a new animal than them wanting to make a character gay naturally

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/321121/wasnt-the-insane-amount-of-op-windows-on-haddonfield-supposed-to-be-fixed

They reduced the amount of pallets and the middle of the map is a massive deadzone. Idk it seems pretty balanced to me. Survivors have stuff to work with and killers aren't totally helpless anymore like the old haddonfield.

That doesn't matter when you can just get hit and run to 1 of the 3 potential god windows on Myer's house and loop the killer til they somehow catch up with you. Only killers who can counter any of the Haddonfield God windows are like Pro artists, maybe huntresses, clown, wraith kinda, Nurse, Spirit, and Trapper. Everyone else will be forced to M1 through it in a slow grueling process and thats assuming they're only abusing the one window in the very front of the house. If you're smart and play with it chases can easily last 3+ minutes assuming the killer never leaves you. Then again even if they do everyone can abuse this house alone so its easy to just run straight for it everytime you're in chase.

She’s actually already probably as good or maybe just slightly better than Wraith so she may not need a big buff. But if her stats turn out to be too low and the devs buff her some possible ones might be

    • Remove her lullaby. I’m not sure why a stealth killer has a lullaby in the first place? Maybe they’re worried that her being 115% and almost always Undetectable would be too strong? Like I said, she may not even need a buff so that thinking might be right, but if not removing the Lullaby would be helpful.
    • Lower the TV refresh timers. The faster the TVs come back the more often she can teleport where she wants which improves her map pressure and her frequency that she inflicts Condemned.
    • Make all survivors who have Condemned build it up passively over time similar to when they are carrying a tape. Maybe if you have a tape it passively builds up more quickly than if you don’t, but either way having the Condemned build up on its own once you have a stack would increase the pressure survivors have to deal with it.

Shes way worse than wraith since wraith actually has a stealth ability and chase powers.

Old newspaper and bloody fingernails addons as base. No lullaby.

Maybe make it to picking up a tape drops your item, I know alot of people want a better condemned but I feel that's the worst way to go about it. You want your tvs active for that mobility, the last thing you want is all your tvs turned off as a basic attack killer. (Although they can make it so only when she teleports it turns the tv off, so if you take a tape she doesnt get even weaker)

Yeah but she needs game slowdown which condemnation is supposed to be. Even if all the TVs stayed on she still wouldn't be able to capitalize off the teleportation since she doesn't have anything to help chase or distract survivors.

  • The Chinese/South East Asian version also has loot crates with free cosmetics (they're easily obtainable for free and you rarely have to buy them unless you want like a massive amount), Ultra rare full skins in their own rift, quick chat communications, a separated Rank and Quick Play mode, and ultra graphical settings ( higher graphics that have like RTX n ######### past even PC ultra)
