This but not this because Spirit.
I'm gonna jump in and say you both have it confused
Its this but Sadako

What I'd assume (once again my assumption) is it works something like this.
Your MMR lets say: 1000
Killer you just bought: +/-0 total is 1000
Killer you win with all the time: +300 total is 1300
Killer you Lose with all the time: -300 total is 700
So if you just buy a killer you're matched with someone based on your exact MMR and each killers 'MMR' is simply additive or subtractive from your base MMR
-
The problem is everyone knows Julie is ugly. Her face is modeled after Frank's just very slightly altered and people know that so it really doesn't make people wanna play her. On top of that Susie is noticeably a different character while Julie will always be seen as 'female Frank'.
Plus Susie really doesn't outnumber the rest when it comes to differing skins.
Discluding recolors the group has
Frank: 3
Joey: 2
Julie: 2
Susie: 3

They said Twins were next. There are still others who desperately need changes in my opinion those are Myers, Freddy, Pig, and Trickster.
I think Freddy won't ever get a big change again. They seem keen on not revisiting characters they reworked hence why we haven't seen any significant Freddy changes since his rework

Any killer with no chase power. This game would be so much better if it more felt like cat and mouse with stealth elements but they decided to focus on the game on chase while also ignoring most killers and not giving them chase powers or powers to help them in chase which makes no sense.

She was best girl before the face rework. I asked for a name change to YunJin_best_Girl but they won't gimme ;(
-
Mine. last tier is pretty self explanatory. I hate Mikeala's design and lore, always have. Bill I haven't liked since I first played L4D hes always been my least favorite. Ashe is just hideous to look at with his plastic looking hair and he's real annoying. Ace is kinda growing on me but I didn't like his lore but I might move him out of that tier soon if all Ace's weren't so toxic. Jonah is just ugly with his shades and his outfit. Yoichi should've been Reiko. Also Claire would be in Despise, Lisa and Cybil would be in Mains, Johnathan would be in Despise, James and Chris would be in Don't play but like.

Claudette then same as most, now its Jill's. I haven't played with a non toxic Jill in a LOOOOONG time.

Yep and that’s why any nerf that affects all boons is a terrible idea. Honestly COH just needs to be reworked because it’ll either be useless or way too good
Oh I wasn't suggesting a boon nerf I was just saying something I've been wanting to say the past month since I keep seeing people say COH is perfectly balanced cause you need to set it up lol
-
@Phasmamain said:
Thing is any boon besides COH will be useless in the completed gen area. As always this is a COH problem not a boon problem
Yeah but no ones really bringing in just Dark Theory or Just Shadowstep. COH is always included and thats really all that matters.

Hag. She has a great game changing ability, can successfully punish gen rush, requires a decent amount of map knowledge to play well, and besides her camp potential, is a great overall killer

Lol, coming from someone who literally sounds like a 12 year old (or has comprehension skill of one) telling me I'm uninformed on epilepsy?
Listen, buddy. Just because you have an epileptic family member, doesn't make you king of all knowledge. Some other user commented on having a partner who was epileptic too and they AGREED with me.
So you do you and have a great day.
An epileptic family member who I care for almost every day. You've done no research on epilepsy and your end suggestion was "Make all epileptics never see a screen." As if thats even possible in todays digital society💀

Points 1~3 I still stand by.
5 was regarding this OP.
Point 6, You're the one being mixed up here. The first point was regarding BHVR and their warning signs, the second point was regarding the OP and his reaction.
Regardless of what you say, epileptic people should NOT be near any video games that even mildly reacts their nerves.
The cousin took the risk and look what happened...
You need to be trolling or grossly uneducated on epilepsy as a whole.

Take it down a notch princess and I'll be more than happy to take you through this 7 page long journey of a discussion :)
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2837490#Comment_2837490
My first post indeed questions the presence of the OP's epileptic cousin there in the first place. BUT I was NOT shifiting the blame like you claim I have.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2837501#Comment_2837501
In fact, I go deeper into this topic by saying that the game itself does not cause epilepsy, cuz it doesn't. Really. I then say that it's the players' fault for causing this macro flashlight clicking.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2837508#Comment_2837508
And then I move on to blame the OP (which I still do) for not caring enough for his epileptic cousin knowing the health issues he has.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2837519#Comment_2837519
I even sympathize with the cousin for having an irresponsible "other cousin" who didn't even have the common decency to warn him about the dangers of playing DBD while suffering from epilepsy.
and the list goes on and on. Read in your own leisure.
You see, I did not blame the cousin for being epileptic. I did the very opposite.
I did blame BHVR for not having a warning sign (though I still stand by that the game does not inherently cause epilepsy) and the OP for being irresponsible.
So there goes your point out the window.
- "I have to be blunt here and say that a person with serious epilepsy should not be any where NEAR a game that has a flashlight or anything that allows fast on & off light feature." Implying its the cousins fault for being near a game that 'has a flashlight'
- "I mean, what was your cousin doing there in the first place? KNOWING DBD has flashlights that could cause something severe." You once again state "KNOWING Dbd has flashlights" IE the cousin should know better than to play DBD because it has flashlights
- "That's like me, bringing my cousin to play a clown game when I know he has Coulrophobia and being surprised when I see him foam at the mouth." Here we are downplaying the severity of the situation and treating it as if its just a little fear or not a big deal.
- "Same goes to the OP, a player that should know that DBD CAN cause epileptic seizures due to the nature of having toggleable flashlights" Stating its not on BHVR to have warnings or anti-epileptic measures its on THE PLAYER to know whether something could be potentially dangerous.
- "He/she should've known better." Self explanatory
- "I'm not arguing with you on warning signs. I want them too. But what I'm iterating is that DBD is always going to be bad for those who are photosensitive. " The classic "Yeah yeah BUT!" argument. You pretend to agree then go back on what you say entirely by adding "But they should know better.". Most of your arguments seem to stem from a lack of understanding epilepsy and thinking this must be the cousins first time ever playing a video game with a flashlight. Epilepsy can be triggered through different causes and it doesn't always share a common theme. A flashlight going off and on in one game may not be a problem but in another game it could be. It could also be the intensity/abundance of flickering (which shouldn't be possible is what OP is saying). Just because a flashlight is in a game doesn't mean it'll cause an epileptic seizure and just because someone has a seizure playing a game doesn't mean its their first time playing it EVER💀

Ok? I am aware of that, but how is this relevant in the sense that OP, a player who has played this game, KNEW his cousin was epileptic, and didn't tell his cousin that this game, which is already known to trigger some people with epilepsy with doctor and flashlights and the like, that that was a possibility? It's literally the exact reason I don't let my partner watch me when I play this game..
Also, I never said epileptics don't want to live in fear of every screen they see, but they need to take precautions. NO ONE has said that in this thread.
How do you know the cousin doesn't already play the game regularly? Its entirely possible the cousin already played the game and didn't have problems before this. How hard is it for you guys to understand epilepsy is different FOR EVERYONE and not every single light on a screen triggers an epileptic?

You wasted your breath on that one buddy.

"If OP knew he was epileptic and the player knew then they both probably assumed it would be fine since similar events hadn't cauFsed an epileptic episode"
OP Knew - first few words are literally "My cousin suffers from epilepsy"
Also, since no one here is offering the epileptic perspective, for what it's worth I asked my partner, who is epileptic, about this topic, and is sort of in agreement with what Voodoo said to a T. That being: a) BHVR needs a warning and/or do something about accessibility on it in general, and b) that OP, an experienced player, should have let them know since the epilepsy was known. Also he really took issue with your comment about assuming things, since it's never a safe assumption if epilepsy is already known.
And I help take care of my cousin who has autism n is an epileptic no one knows what can make him tick. Like I said, most people don't know until they learn the hard way and this may come as a SHOCK to you but epileptics dont want to live in fear of every screen they see in fear of an episode

@Voodoo_Thirsty said:

I am in every shape and form in favor of implementing an anti-glare mechanic for the flashlights and a proper warning sign to warn others.
BUT
In this instance, the OP was clearly aware of all the possibilities that could've happened with his epileptic cousin, being a long time DBD player. That makes him carry more responsibility than a first-time player.
I hope you know even for epileptics sometimes things aren't 100% sure. Some epileptics can handle things others can't and at the end of the day sadly most don't know until they find out the hard way. If OP knew he was epileptic and the player knew then they both probably assumed it would be fine since similar events hadn't caused an epileptic episode. than just admit BHVR has a problem lol

Massively disagree with Hag. I think a killer who, imo, is weak when survivors have flashlights but too strong without them is badly balanced.
If we fix camping, I think Bubba is perfectly balanced.
This is such a common hag misconception though. If a survivor is constantly chasing you its a 3v1 and eventually his flashlight will run out and a good hag can play around this to turn the tables on him. People see hag lose 3 gens and assume she must be weak but never take into account the end game and what happens in those two gens

Yes. Because stuff like this will always cause problems. Even if someone is good at the game this does not mean that they will be good at balancing the game. Some ideas I have seen from Content Creators are just terrible. (e.g. the frequent idea of one Content Creator to put a Debuff on SWFs)
And while I think I have some decent knowledge of the game, I know that others would find some of my ideas terrible (and some will probably be terrible, because I am not really able to see the whole picture of the game aside from my own matches as Killer or Survivor).
And then, if you have Content Creators with those good players, you will have the problem with their communities. Why is Content Creator A in the position to balance the game but Content Creator B is not?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2824852#Comment_2824852
And you think, for being able to balance a game it is enough to just play it a lot and get good at it? This is really wrong.
Personally I think that the Devs have way more knowledge in game design and game balance than every Forum Warrior (myself included).
Well I mean yeah how else would you know the existence of certain strats, whats meta, what characters are good which aren't, how most matches in high ranks go, how one action or thing can be problematic etc etc. If you don't we get the game in its current state. Only balanced by numbers and stats that have no variables at all. Also especially if, as I said earlier, you're only balancing based on your own skill level.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:

They dont have to be. Only because you are doing one thing frequently does not mean that you can do the same thing on the other side and have to be good at it.
E.g. I am pretty good at eating, but this does not make me a good Cook.
I am also very knowledgeable in a Trading Card Game, because I am organizing and Judging this TCG. But that does not mean that I have to be a good player as well.
I mean game balance is pretty different from cooking or simply knowing basic knowledge of a game. If all it would require to balance DBD is someone who just know the basics of the game then literally any player who has more than 10 hours would be able to balance it according to you. You should at least be able to hold your own against high level opponents when balancing a game especially when you're only balancing around your own skill level.

Working on a game for 40 hours a week, then playing many hours in your free time is the fastest way to have a burn out.
Game designers understand game design, know how to design a game, know all the details that are needed to be able to design a game that people want to play. A designer doesn't necessarily have to be great playing that game to understand the mechanics of it and how to play the game or how it's played.
Many of us in the team play on our free time - not many of us stream it, I've streamed a few times but I don't enjoy streaming. And many that do stream do not even say they're developers because they'd rather enjoy their stream time without being constantly asked about their work - pretty understandable there.
Sister please tell me you didn't just say "We don't have to be good at the game to balance the game."...

I think I'd like to play as Lisa. When I first got into DBD my biggest wish was a Silent Hill chapter and it was even my first thread on the forums I believe. So a fitting end would be playing the survivor I always wanted in DBD against Nurse since she was the first killer I ever went against. The map Id say RPD idc what people say its my favorite map actually brings some panic into the game. And then I would hope everyone didn't try hard and I'd run my little healer build since its become my favorite.

No, I mean who in their right mind would construct a tier list based on overall kill rates and therefore include all the people who don't know how to play against a particular Killer? That's utterly incompetent. Because, as I said, this runs into the problem of being meaningless for anyone who gets reasonably good at it.
Tier lists are generally made with above-average play in mind, just because that actually tells you something useful.

Not every single killer can be S tier.
There will always be characters in games that are "the worst" or simply "lower tier" than others. You could argue that every killer in this game pales in comparison to Nurse since she's in her own tier. Not every killer can or should be on her level.
Also again, it's too early to tell where exactly Sadako will fall on the tier list. I don't care if Otz says she's low C tier, I'll wait for dedicated Onryō players to show us just what she's capable of in the next month or so to come. Y'all need to calm down with the crazy projections as well as doom and gloom. Seriously it feels like there is no pleasing killer mains.
Idc what Otz says I held this opinion when I first saw her power description. She has no way to down survivors thats what puts her in D-C tier.

We are NOT talking about specific MMR, because none of us knows what our MMR is. Prove me wrong but showing me how you determined your MMR. I'm far from greatest and I still routinely dominate survivors. Greatest players barely have any losses at all. Anyway, it seems like you don't have any arguments except repeating same strawman over and over.
Do you know what a strawman is
