I just don't understand why you wouldn't spend them as you earned them.
@brokedownpalace OT...but to answer your question: I couldn't pick my posion and then we had to move house. I thought I had plenty of time BUT then it turned out that the contractor hadn't prepared the house for internet. That's why I asked about it on the forums a couple of days back and got the date (22nd january)
-
@Jukenobi But it isn't two weeks ago, though. I haven't used them because I'm in the middle of moving houses. So I literally borrowed a wi-fi stick today to use my serums before they expired (the permanent solution won't be installed until later).
-
@Tatariu 12 days ago. And the putrid serum was supposed to be available as currency until the 22nd.
-
@Fibijean I just checked and a my serums are gone?

That's Almo for you...thinking that something is good/bad after a minute of testing.
What’s your deal with Almo? At this point it seems as if you’re misinforming people out of spite.

It doesn't sit right with me to single out a person like this. Can you have misread his/her intent with the posts you are referring to? Almo seems like a very wholesome person.

Anyways I think the Ruin change will be better in the long run as the devs will hopefully see if killers have any problems will kill rate and don't have to worry about Ruin affecting the stats. You have to wonder how much of those stats that the devs released that showed kill rate were influenced by Ruin, all killers were above 60% in the red ranks.
Although I have to say I'm tired of nerfs, whether justified or not. Next patch should focus on buffing weak perks or items.
I think you framed this nicely -> I'm also very tired of the nerfs. Looking forward to some fun new builds when the buff-gun has been used.

@Boss said:
IF Ruin was so important to the game balance, then they shouldn't be doing the nerf now, and wait until all balance changes involved with Ruin are ready.
Problem is, the killer roster varies so much that many of them do need some kind of slow-down early game. A medium/low mobility killer can do little to stop a team that is focusing on gens. Survivors can easily complete 2 generators (40% of their collective objective) before the first hook (8% of the killer's objective) has been executed. PGTW and CI doesn't help killers like Hag and Trapper with their respective set-up time.
-
Noone?
-
@AllMyLemons On the one hand I don’t think everyone fully understand how the perk will work (me included). On the other hand, and this is more at the heart of the matter I think, ruin has helped end-game killers gain momentum before the survivors complete too many gens. Essentially, ruin is reworked to be a late game perk without looking at the generator speed.
-
@FogLurker lol
-
@AllMyLemons Yes it does! So you could potentially combine it with Surveillance as a tracking device.
-
@Almo Ah, the good ol’ “out of the fire into the frying pan”-move ^^
Another question: Does Surge count as a stomping-perk?
-
@MandyTalk Thanks for the reply!
-
@Weck Yeah, this doesn’t sound too promising. But I’m happy to move beyond it to be honest. It always tilts me when they get it early game.
-
@Xerge Thanks for your reply :-) Although it doesn't really solve my dilemma, I'm indeed very tempted to go on a killing spree with Ghostface.

That's the fault of BHVR. They create a miserable killer experience, queue times get longer.
I agree that queues could be more balanced. But it doesn't matter whose fault it is. Farming games still steal time from me.

Yeah I had a SWF team add me to there group chat on ps4 so I could farm with them. I told them I'm here to bring death, not farm, and smashed them all to smithereens. Boy the toxic hate I got after THAT! I work all day, do the family thing when I get off. The limited time I DO have to play, I damn sure ain't farming. I'm the bringer of death. You wanna farm? Then go play Farmville...
Preach!

That is once in a while to me. At least once in a while in terms of facing Ghostface lmao
I mean if people think farming is a good thing, maybe a new playmode should be considered?

Just rush gens and go. Easy fix.
The problem is the long queues that comes with it. It's more like: rush gens and go wait another ten minutes.

I dont actually, but you may as well accept it is part of the game. Intended or not people will farm for events, or because of Rift challenges, or simply because someone wants too.
Have it whichever way you like. As I said, our discussion isn't going anywhere.

OMG did you really make this thread?
No I didn't. This is just a dream. Go back to sleep.

@justaSpirit_phase said:
Just finish the gens and leave the game, some people need to farm to get through challenges. Earlier I asked a swf (who was really nice) to help me with the six feet under challenge and now I can get through the rest do my challenges without literally getting frustrated every game.
This is a fine mentality when it's a game once in a while. But when you play ten games and four out of those are farming games, you get tired of it.

Farming is not reportable, and not bannable. The confusion comes when people mention "working with the killer" as a reportable offense. The phrase "working with the killer" refers to when a survivor actively harasses the other survivors because they happen to have been matched with their killer friend by constantly sandbagging or leading the killer to the other survivors.
Mutual farming of BP is "looked down upon" by the devs, but not an offense that will get anyone banned.
I think @Peanits said everyone need to be in on it. But I'm not sure.

Still doing the intended stuff just without consequences. Most killers will kill you if you dont want to join in.
Since you seem to suggest that farming is an intended feature of the game, I think we should end our discussion here. We have vastly different views of the game and this is not really leading anywhere. Have a nice night.

It's clearly gameplay. Games on and your playing hense gameplay.
If you frame it like that, sure. I'm referring to the intended gameplay.

You can report this. Working with the killer isn't allowed.
But then I need to record, right?

@Pulsar said:
Some of the challenges are borderline impossible to do.
I get that, but farming isn't a viable solution. BHVR should fix the challenges.

Killer or Survivors want to farm? Free BP and a relaxing game? Sign me up.
Chances are this weekend you'll be bombarded with farming. Double blood point event.
Relaxing gameplay? I wouldn't classify farming as gameplay.
Yes, farming will get worse, hence the thread.

Yeah, I understand that people want to farm to avoid actually doing the challenges. But it's ruining the experience for other players in the process. And wwith upcoming DC penalties. I don't know man...
-
@I_am_Negan I honestly missed them when I finished the game <3
-
@GrootDude I mean yeah, I guess it is. Thought general discussions was something else but I guess I was wrong! I will be sure to also create threads like this in general discussions in the future! Have a GREAT day :)
-
@AAAAA I see what your saying but I don't think that's a fair comparison. I'm assuming that by "in" you mean "in DBD the game". So that topic would be directly related to the game, wouldn't it? Anyways, this isn't that important so I don't want split hairs for nothing. I just thought general discussions was reserved for discussions about the game.
-
@Cornpopers_Evan So you're saying that as long as it could include DBD, general discussions is the place to go? Because thta's not how I've intepreted it at all. I'll back if I'm wrong though.
-
I'm sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but why is this thread in the "general discussions" section? I thought there was a sub-section for non-game related posts? Honestly don't want to rain on anybody's parade, you guys are cxute and everything, it's just that it keeps popping up in my feed.
-
I've been showered with so much toxicity during these past few weeks... so I'm gonna shower it back. I will be extra toxic.

@CrispyChestnuts that’s not the entire picture. Lots and lots have changed with dedicated servers. Killer lag is just one little detail.
-
+1 DH has a cooldown. If exhaustion procs the invulnerbility/dash should too. There's is no question about it.
@Chewy102 It doesn't sound like you have used the perk. "Git gud" is an universal solution. Problem is, you can't adjust your timing when the real latency indicator is hidden behind the server ping. I have 40ms on average but still play against killers that warp around the map like a nurse (with no inidication of it beforehand). The perk has become very inconsistent since dedicated servers.
-
Im also wondering when this is going to be addressed. It happens almost every game for me. Very unreliable.
-
@FriendlyGuy thank god

Checked if she was any good today. Can assure you she is not.

Individual ranks is a feature I've been waiting on a lot as well, especially with the recent changes to the rank reset not dropping you as low as before. It's fun to look forward to rank reset so you can actually have fun playing the less viable killers but with this change that isn't going to be a thing anymore.
I don't think you dreamed it, I believe I remember them saying they were looking into doing it.
It would be a very nice change indeed. If only some rank progress carried over, that would be gold. But I don't know if it's possible to implement with todays emblem system to be honest.

I am confused now
Are you saying that Oni doesn't put survivors into the dying state with his power in one hit if you have NoEd?
You do if you press and hold M1. If you just tap M1 (like you would when doing the basic non-lunge attack) you don't.
-
@TheHoodiedOne I don't know. The special attack initiates when you hold m1, m2 is for the demon dash. A regular m1 tap behaves like the basic attack (it doesn't put survivors in the dying state).
-
@Spannungsstoß is that information from the Wiki? I know they have had some details wrong in the past. If they are correct, however, NOED is pretty much a wasted perk on him.
-
I hate that the game is owned by a company that only seem to care about growth in terms of profit.
-
I didn’t know I needed this. But I do :-)

@Mr_K said:
What can they do to fix it really? Best they can do is cancel the exhaustion if you get down.
It doesn't matter if you live next to the datacenter, survivors. If the killer's ping is high, your timing is going to be off. With P2P you at least knew the killers ping to you and adjust your timing accordingly.
With servers, you are reacting to an action that's already occurred. The killer is going to swing at you. That action goes to the server. The server sends that action to you, the survivor. You activate dead hard reacting to the animation or swing indication. The problem is the killer already hit you on their screen and the server has been notified of the hit.
That's why you are wiggling on the ground exhausted. Unless the Devs find a way to predict future actions, this is how it's going to be.
Interesting video (and read). But if I have good ping and the killer has bad ping, wouldn’t my DH take priority over the killer’s swing? According to the video, the data packet that reaches the server first takes priority.
