  • Here’s the thing, whatever results he gets with Bubba doesn’t prove Bubba is good. If he gets 20 straight 4ks I’m sure you could watch those games and say “well had he been Nurse, spirit, huntress he would have gotten 4k as well and probably easier.”

Yeah his chat was something I never liked. It felt like there was a huge visable divide between the fans and those who just wanted to point out how he could improve. The second someone had an opinion that wasn't directly matching Tru3's, the chat just seemed to turn nasty. I personally wouldn't allow that to happen if I was a content creator. I prefer to watch others now, such as Tofu for his videos since he will openly admit when he makes mistakes, and he does have good advice. Angrypug is also a good one too, mainly because he's just hilarious to watch.

C mon. You can't stop good loopers with LF. Even with 20 perk slots. You can run LF for 5 gens. He has no mechanic to stop good loopers.

He mostly plays with potato red ranks so yeah, LF is underrated.

I used to watch him but i stopped like a year ago. Too much negativity on his streams and kinda depressing to watch.

He blames the game for his mistakes and when he loses "Yeah, that's a 4 man on comms. Nothing to do about it.''

Let's to be honest here, LF and Clown are the worst killers in the game.

They are out years, facts are speaking.

Against LF just try not to get caught when the last gen popped. 8/10 times facecamp with chainsaw revving at 100%.

    "UNDERRATED"

This is my conclusion too, of course when I said anything I was always bullied by chat. Tru is really good, there’s nothing wrong with being really good and still admitting you got beat though.

We don’t need the excuses of SWF, meta builds, streamsniping, etc and even when you can clearly see he made a mistake he covers it up with an excuse and chat buys into it

  • @MasterGrit said:

Top 3-4 ghostface , wraith ? Did he face potatoes ?

In my country , Thailand has many good player. M1 killer in red rank would be loop for age.

    Lol

That’s the point, GF and wraith can’t be looped the same when played correctly.

Use cover, catch survivor out of position, free hit

  • @ALostPuppy said:

The way I see it, all he proves with these killers is that he's a very good player. Just because tru3 got good results with a single killer, a single but LD and a single playstyle doesn't mean the killer is now good. If you play as well as tru3 with wraith and use his build and tactics to hit and run, deny chases and interaction as well as strong add-ons etc then yes wraith is a great killer. But do anything else and he's really not that good.

This, I mean Otz has been 4k-ing as Trapper forever now it still doesn't make Trapper high tier. Scott won game after game with Speed Limiter Bubba before, didn't mean Bubba was good then either some people are just really good at video games and can win with crap.

  • Tru is good to watch, but you have to understand he’s his own biggest fan. Anytime he loses it’s because it’s against a 4 man SWF and/or his viewers gave him a crappy perk build to work with.

Meanwhile as survivor his team is always full of potatoes that won’t do gens and that he has to carry according to him.

It all fine and dandy they dont expire, but right now, we wanted them to work, so that, after a match you could buy even more in the bloodwebs. A comment like this from the developers, make me think, as others pointed out, that it is deliberate from you guys side, so we don't get the full benefit. A better way you could have done this, was to either make them more rare in the bloodweb, or just one week or whatever, this is just not good enough. Be frank and upfront, and don't say we shouldnt worry. It's not very nice what you are doing atm. I hope you prolong the event, thats the only way to make up for this "mistake"

It makes you realize how out of touch they are and always will be with their community.

Or, you guys could fix the event.

It's unbelievably embarrassing to have your own anniversary event broken like that, but it's almost expected from BHVR these days. It's kind of why you guys have become a meme.

be nice, they’re doing a pretty good job so far

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1389192#Comment_1389192

it doesn’t make any sense though. If you don’t use them you still benefit from other players’. And if you do use them it doesn’t matter when, you’ll always benefit from them. What you SHOULD do is use them now so that you get to buy more for whenever you feel like using them.

You will NEVER get people to understand the math I tried last year and people thought I was stupid.

The only benefit to use then during double event is if you found people more willing to farm.

  • @Kaethela said:

But these cakes are the exact same offerings they've had before, just with an extra 1%. Those stacked just fine, so what gives with these?

I am guilty for game investment, I have played WoW since 2004, and sometimes I feel like I play it out of habit or obligation. I have never spent money on in game pets or mounts though. I don't hate people for getting them, but I hate that they aren't in game obtainable and they look better than what Blizzard gives us for in game rewards, aka reskins and different color variations of the same mount. (A little off topic, but a good example).

I bought a charity pet mount combo once. But I have NEVER let me sub lapsed despite going over a month not logging in or maybe logging in 3-4 times over a 6 month period

  • I almost wanna say they are glad we can’t stack because that would give people enough BPs to earn all kinds of perks and stuff and cut down future grind.

  • @Jukenobi said:

They are just evolving into other gaming company business models. If it doesn't make them money, they ignore it. They focus on cosmetics and chapters. I have seen bugs that were here in 2018 still happening. I gave up on that a long time ago, I just play the game for what it is.

And you know what's sad? It works. The community STILL throws them all the money they have just for new content. As long as WE don't change our behaviour they have no reason to do so aswell.

I by myself stopped already and only will continue spending money when things change.

Right, you almost can’t blame them for it either because we are HOOKED. It’s a tried and true method, get people to put so much time into a game that they feel compelled to stay even though it’s buggy or they don’t enjoy it. World of Warcraft is still making money selling pets and mounts despite its best days being LONG behind it.

You even see forum posts on a lot of game sites saying, “I don’t even enjoy this game anymore but I’m so invested in my character I’ll play til they shut down severed.”

  • first, not in any way I’m aware of since it’s outside the game.

    second, they could use phones

  • @Peanits said:

    Two things:

    2) Yesterday was a holiday in Quebec. There was nobody around to comment on it.

Why start an event the day before a holiday? Don’t they typically avoid doing it on weekends for that same reason @Peanits

That would be the best for you yeah. But if all think that way, we all get the worst outcome. Thats the essence of the dilemma :).

    @Bloodpoint_Addict said:

I use the cakes so i can buy more cakes and i always stay net positive or net neutral on cakes so thats the best choice imo

This scenario is a tricky one but I like what Addict does and I try that too. If we all use our own offerings now for 140% personal and immediately pump it back into blood webs then we MAY all have more to use together whenever it gets fixed.

They don’t “shut off,” when the event is over so in theory all players could have tons of these things to stack for 500% bonuses as soon as the next chapter comes out. If I played with friend that’s what I would do.

As is in hoarding them on my killers to use after next killer comes out.

  • @CaulDrohn said:

It came to me yesterdy that the current situation with the event cakes is a perfect prisoners dilemma situation.

If we all keep the cakes until they are fixed, we will get the most outcome of it due to the stacking bonus. But, since it grants 140% instead fo 104% currently, we could be incetived to use it now and gain more BP than we would get in the fixed state (without stacking bonus). If we all think that way and all waste our cakes before it's fixed, we'll all will get more BP indivdually, but no stacking bonus at all, leaving us at the worst possible outcome (least BP). Really fascinating situation right now :).

Right, the best outcome individually is if you use all your cakes now for 140% but your teammates And killers all save them for afterwards to give you their bonuses and you use escape cake at that point lol

  • Mid chapter patch is my guess

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I didn't need to do that, you have more than enough time to get the crown for each character, luckily for me I only play David as survivor and only have a handful of killers

I’m not worried about the crown so much, I mean if I can’t escape with my 4-5 survivors in the next two weeks I don’t deserve it. It’s more of teammates being even less helpful than before.

Because it was completely unnecessary and selfish to do it when your rescuer-to-be has left their objective and run across the map to rescue you (and be rewarded with points, etc). You literally gain nothing from the kobe, so it's only done out of inconsideration of the other players, and that's what's annoying.

Flip side, when I go to second stage just because someone had to finish a gen or loot a Chest before running 10 meters to unhook me... I will let go of struggle the instant they get near me

Silent Hill chapter is looking more and more rushed every day it passes, between massive game breaking bugs, regular bugs, mechanic oversights (cages interactions with perks), awful new map and crappy looking effects (the barbed wire when tormented looks awful and trenches are very rough in the edges among other things).

I dont know if they had another chapter prepared and had to delay it (Candyman movie being delayed forcing them to delay the chapter too or something like that) or the Covid pandemic messed their working schedule or wathever but SH feels even more rushed than Leatherface or Ghostface.

But it is still unfair, survivors are already making less blood points than killers and they should receive at least 1 cake per blood web.

Last year my Legion ended up with 97 cakes and my Meg only 19 and I played more or less the same amount

    @Aven_Fallen said:

    Most likely.

Dont forget that there will be more for Survivors - supposed to be an Anniversary Flashlight and Medkit. So the Spot for the Cakes will be shared with 2 other Items.

I think what Aven means is that is why it's even less likely for survivors to get cakes, because they have to share those spots with medkits and flashlights... where as a killer just gets cakes which is boring but beneficial.

I encourage you to play him then you'll quickly understand your very wrong about him..in fact his chase is nearly handicapped by how easy the line attack is to avoid..he cant shoot on reaction he has to prefire so early that he will miss all the time if you understand him from the killer pov..you'll see..he needs improvements to his line because you will rarely get hits outside of animation locks unless the survivors are just plain bad..people are just making falling for it because they dont know him but that will change very quickly

This, granted I’m still learning him but his attack is slow enough that a survivor can avoid it and then it becomes all about that mind game... I know I know coin flips right??? Except they aren’t, I had a survivor who stepped to the right 3 times in a Row, on the 4th I guessed that’s when they would finally come back left and they did bang. But you know even that wasted a lot of my time

  • @Swiftblade131 said:

How about, we practice some more first.

Instead of decreasing the "difficulty" for the bad players?

Practice won’t change anyone’s opinion, Pyramid Head changes the fundamentals of looping just like Freddy and Doctor, coincidentally two other killers who are often called “boring,” or “op”

  • @Deadeye said:

I love how everyone on PTB said that the ranged attack is too weak and now it becomes OP and easy free hits by half of the community. And nothing was changed to his basekit 😂

And the next one is "guessing game" to be a problem. Can someone explain to me what the difference is between a guessing game and a mindgame? Except that mindgames are apparently good for survivors' escape plans and guessing games are not. Seems like the terms are changed depending on what topic we talk about

I said the same thing in another topic, “here we go with the coin flip argument.”

Faking his ability is a mind game. If they go around a wall do you lead the shot or are they going to think you’re leading it so they double back, mind game.

But you’re right if it’s to someone’s benefit they call it a mind game, if they can’t do it it’s a guessing game.

That takes one second according to the wiki, so my statement isn't wrong.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1372348#Comment_1372348

He ends chases too quickly because he removes the power to loop or vault if you're good with your aim and his power creates a guessing game that makes you choose between two negative outcomes. You say that people shouldn't complain because they can't loop him, but they can't even USE pallets or vaults against him unless far away from him. They can't even just pre-throw pallets because he knocks them with his ability. Again, this might just be because the only times I've faced him are on the map that seems like it has an 80%+ kill rate but I feel he's a little too strong considering all the map changes we've had recently already to where there are fewer good pallets or even good looping spots outside of TL walls which aren't on every map. As for the killer being strong, no one ever said he should be WEAK.

As for the "getting a hit means nothing if it isn't a down", you can do that same exact thing at the next pallet, so a down shouldn't take long.

What do you mean pre throwing pallets isn’t an option, that’s one of the best ways to extend a chase. Drop the pallet before he’s in 8 meter range which isn’t far at all

While I agree with what your saying, toxicity and bullying will always exist until the player gets a taste of the same medicine while playing the other side.

When PH got released I was getting bullied by the same swf and I could tell that they had a new survivor so I just left her alone, but the other 3 survivors bullied the mess out of me. An hour later when I ran into them again, I bullied the 3 survivors leaving the baby Meg alone with Spirit!

In other words what I'm saying is that this community has yet to expirence or understand "if you don't like it, or want that done to you while playing the other side, than don't do it"

So true, I feel like playing a split of survivor/killer gives me a different understanding of “what is fun,” for either side. You can be competitive and still OT be a jerk, you can definitely tell the people who only play one side or the other

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

I admire this sentiment and respect it. I always try to be nice when I play, and I'd like to think that the people who are a decent human being also try to be.

However, matchmaking should be nicer to new players. Half of the frustration new players are experiencing isn't because people aren't being "nice", it's because they are getting out-played by someone more experience.

That's why if I see a killer who is struggling, I'll give them a hit. If I see a survivor who is getting tunneled and is obvious they are new, I take a hit.

That’s the thing, the Devs have decided that new players would rather wait 3 minutes and play against whoever even if they’re wayyyyy better... rather than wait 20 minutes to play a “fair game.” Right or wrong that’s where we’re at

  • @OldHunterLight said:

I agree with you, I moved from ps4 to pc a few months ago, I had to play against new players, it felt so bad, most of the time I let them escape so they can start grinding for more perks, it's very easy to notice if someone is new by the way they play, some people told me that I was clearly not a new player I just explained and people understood.

Some people forget that there is another person behind a monitor/TV, while I think it's good to be competitive I don't think it's good to be toxic.

New people might run away from the game if they are being treated badly, I did when I started, I quit dbd when it was free on ps+, then randomly started playing again and getting the hang of it to this day.

I just hope that people understand that being a toxic player will get you nothing.

I already met new people on pc, I started growing with people to play with and it's good to know that there are still nice players out there.

I had a similar situation a few months back, I had gone from 80/20 killer to 80/20 survivor due to queue times, the i didn’t play after one reset and the double rank reset bug got me the next month so after a couple resets I was at like 17 and obliterating survivors no matter which killer I played. Like I hit them and then they run into no mans land, or never ever look behind them so you can cut them off easily.

Im not a great killer, but against them I had to back off just a bit. I did enough to pip and climb back where I belonged, but I also “wandered,” a bit as killer to make sure they had time to save, he’s, do some gens.

  • Right, but sadly some people can only feel good about themselves by making others feel inferior.

The latest posts gloating about “ez gg” against low rank survivors or low rank killers have been tilting me.

After all, we were that new player once - it's just that most of us were lucky enough as we played the game since inception so we all learnt around the same time...

Your reply on another thread got me to start this thread, I appreciated your defense of “noobs,”
