Look at it from this perspective:
End game survivors waiting at gates and crouch spamming.. you hate that right?
Why? The core reason is because it happens every single game right? So that means it is because it is repetitive, when you first saw it you never took notice of it, until it happened over and over.. this is why emotes would be perfect, emotes that make you laugh would be even better. It would instantly take away the frustration and put you in a better mood.
Trust me!
I still don't see the point emotes in games where it's team vs team are usually used instead of teabagging. Yes I know some games have emotes but their not entirely used for toxic reason an old example for me is Overwatch but that's also because you were stuck in the emote you couldn't snap out of it. But still most emotes your just move an inch your out of it. So as I said emotes wouldn't help.

I think adding emotes would just make it worse.

Maybe not a god a nurse, but the average one you encounter in public matchmaking can be outplayed...
Funny you say that i constantly face God tier Nurse's so basically when facing her I don't have this chance to fully understand how to counter her because by the first minute of chase I'm down.
-
@toxik_survivor said:
Playing nurse actually gets pretty fun and intense of you know how to play her right. It's more simple than you think, hug objects, obscure line of sight, fake one direction and go the other. To break this down.
- Depending on the skill of the nurse just run towards her, FOV tech her and then run away, this will only work against low skill nurses.
- This is where it gets fun, hug objects, get as tight as possible to walls and trees, go from tree to tree, don't worry about pallets or windows.
- Cut off line of sight. Pair this with hugging objects, go behind walls and trees while hugging these objects.
- After breaking line of sight, fake one direction and go the other. For example, you ran behind a rock going east, stop running for a sec, then run back west. Shell try to predict your running path since she can't see you, so just double back.
Hope this helps
Downside I'm on console so 360's aren't super easy.

Expect to see more slugging in the future as the devs refuse to get rid of the worst slugging perks while simultaneously nerfing perks that require the killer to hook.
When it comes to nerfing its one the thing of nerf if it's becoming a lot but also look back on old perks that should get some kind of touch up I hate the current killer meta because constantly facing it can be boring. But nerfing the perks isn't always the answer sometimes its just taking old perks and putting a bit of love to it. An example I can think of is Distortion the perk sucked no one touched it but they changed it to have the same effect but make sure it was useful. That's what BHVR should do instead of constantly nerfing the meta figure out perks that should get some kind of touch up to at least make the meta a lot larger so there are more options.

@_Onyx_ said:
Were they just slugging you? Or was it their play style to down and never hook anyone until they had all 4 down?
They slugged everyone. Pulled the hold Nurse(they were Blight though) route of Infectious fright and refused to pick anyone up. We weren't even that close to the down survivor and no one brought a flashlight also they weren't near a pallet.

Nah its just the most "survivor sided" map on otz tier list so people keep sending you there
I don't mind tho, i personnally find ormond or haddonfield worse
It's more of after like five matches in a row of just playing on it you'll get bored. Kinda like facing a killer that didn't just release since if they just released it makes sense but let's say you face Wraith five times in a row you get bored of it quickly since. Otz most likely did of course research and constant matches to see what is and isn't survivor or killer sided with maps but still its one of those thing where just because he said it doesn't fully mean it's correct yes constant pallets and loops are all over the map but it was like that for a good while. Plus what happens Killer learns the layout and starts to figure out ways to counter a survivor then survivors start saying it's unfair. I've done this thing where if I'm facing the same killer constantly that didn't just get released I'll play killer just so I don't have to face the same one. Same with maps I'll either bring a ward or a different map offering for a chance.
-
@Azulra said:
Nah- It's just one of the most survivor-sided maps in the game currently since it's super easy to spot killers on it, the sand makes hearing footsteps harder for the killer, and almost every loop on the map is good with like 1 maybe 2 bad loops. Plus the map's size doesn't help either.
Oh okay. Well time to keep those wards on because I really just want a different map.

Opening a bunch of threads complaining about Survivors tbagging at the Exit Gates (this is not your first thread about it), REALLY shows that you dont care about it. Totally.
Just let them tbag. Yes, it is immature. It is childish. Especially if they barely got out. But it is equally immature to get that upset about it.
I know what...your right I really should stop making posts about complain how teabagging is bad and so on. It won't go away and basically any game and well complaining about it just makes them have more power because that's what they. So yeah I'll stop complaining about if a survivor decides to teabag at exit gate then I just won't go most maps have breakable walls and downed pallets so extra BP for me.

If all the gens are done, then no, it doesn't work, because at that point there is nothing else for the killer to defend.
If all the gens were not done, then the AFC meter will fill up. Its possible if you are spectating that it doesn't show up or work right, because a ton of stuff doesn't work very well while spectating.
All the gens were done but I'm mainly asking since he got two kills so its that sorta I feel like there's no reason they should be near the hook since basically two kills means well a tie if you think about it two escapes(if they did since I didn't watch the whole thing) and two kills.

There is statistically not a single person who uses sole survivor, let alone doing a gen and escaping through the gate. Everyone goes for hatch.
I have used Sole Survivor in the past since soloQ is a coin flip usually I'm the last one stand. Since either someone rage quits or basically killer finds them. Stopped after a while since it was turned into more situational times.
-
@Xernoton said:
It's unfortunate really, that nothing has been done about this. I can't blame the 2 solo survivors for trying to hide until the other is caught. They are not obligated to get themself killed. However, this is technically holding the game hostage as both try to make it impossible for the killer to progress.
There really should be a mechanic that helps a killer find a survivor, if they have not chased anyone in X amount of time. Maybe 3 minutes so it can't be used as a competitive advantage. It could reveal one survivor with the least hook stages via killer instinct until the killer either starts a chase or is in close proximity.
Eh yeah I don't know why I stayed longer probably just extra BP for being near his terror radius.

Bro is tired, because of the Chainsaw's sound. Interesting.
For me Billy is the best Killer to play against right now. Sometimes I scream when he tries to down me during the Overdrive. Constant pressure in chase can be very fun even from Survivor POV. I don't like to sit on the gen and just unhook others. I like to actually be chased by the Killer and Hillbilly can give you the best experience.
I'm tired of the chainsaw sound more annoyed it's like hearing Wraith constantly ringing his bell it does get annoying or back then flashlight spamming. The sound does get annoying after a while.

Yeah cause no one complained about Thana, Eruption, Overcharge, CoB, or STBFL..
I'll say this Thana is a good perk it was annoying back then mainly because you got a penalty on healing so well it was every legions dream plus the rework made it so survivors need to stop repairing to heal so they remove the penalty so it's one of those minor slow down perks not majorly effective but not extremely weak.
-
@_Onyx_ said:
I think it's also to do with the attitudes and mentality of the players too.
What I mean by this is, players find a loadout that works universally on all Killers, and spam it. Without trying to figure out alternative loadouts and play styles that work for that specific character better and more consistently.
Survivors do the same though. They see that second chances and otherwise-named 'invincibility builds' are ultra strong and can be used in multiple different ways (defensively, offensively, and distractingly) and stick to that without ever changing.
Yeah but I learned when playing killer go with the default you have on everyone then mix and match. Example is Unknown for me I use Brutal as it's a default for me(RNG can be mean at times) but i learned to use the teleport so I'll bring BBQ since I can get someone else just after hooking a survivor. Even then I know it's crazy and why would you use it Monstrous shrine is another good one mix it with Devour Soap and you got a nice build.

Ruin,Ilaption,Surge,Thanatophobia...... have been weakened or rendered useless, so there are almost no perk options for killers to interfere with Gen. Furthermore, the PoP you mention has been weakened in the majority of cases, and Painless has been weakened where it was originally a peaky perk that depended on map generation and whether or not the opponent was a VCPT.
Does the diverse match you want mean that the killer will give up 4k and just chase content? Or is it a match where each chase lasts 2-30 seconds and 11-12hooks are completed before the gen is completed?
The diverse match I mean is more just hoping to basically be constantly questioning what perks the killer has. Since if I see they have Pain res I already know they have pop same with Corrupt. So mostly I'm not wanting this massive the killer is either winning or losing its more I just hope to see some different perks once in a while that way the game keeps me on my toes and has me guess. Like how builds work you have an anti-healing build okay now I would have to think on how to counter it with the hand i have. Stealth killer with oblivious perks? Okay now I need to figure out how to tell where you are without hearing you. It's that mostly hoping just to have some kind of guessing part that way I'm not there saying "Okay just let go of the gen. Wait for them to kick it so Pop is now gone." Basically that for the fifth time since it allows well guessing you constantly need to think of how to counter the killer build they put on. With the meta soon enough you know how to counter it so it becomes boring to face since you know what to do.

Yes. Apparently in Asia Self-Care is actually a meta perk. They also have a very different approach to the game than westerners when it comes to tunneling. Instead of tunneling someone out immediately, they try to spread hooks. Although in a recent tournament between European and Asian players, the Europeans had the upper hand, so it seems that hard tunneling is the more effective strategy after all.
Huh interesting

That should help you for your future survivor matches against The Nurse.

Nurses blink is double-edge sword
Neither You nor her see where blink will land. But she cannot stop her blink untill fully charged, so You can predict her blink by duration she channel last breath, just like she herself. Try to break line of sight and move unpredictibly since if she choose way poorly, she will lost tons of distance. If map has multiple floors, go upstairs, and use it as your advantage. If You will see her channeling her power, go to her, she will blink either far, far away from You, or to the bottom floor. Also hitboxes with auto-aim works weird. And as far as i enjoy hitting survivors i thought i cant reach, there are also times when i hit a wall when i was sure im hitting survivor.
Tho her power is mostly guessing, but for both sides.
Not trying to sound rude but i guess English isn't your first language? But the problem mainly is how she hits she can be out of her blink and hit me on her screen but on my screen she hits me milliseconds after her blink. So the problem is the server basically has to catch up any time someone plays her.

I am hoping for some news after the anniversary event, because he has been in need of a "dework" since 2019.
Post-rework Freddy was powerful, but already boring and unimaginative. Now he is both weak AND boring. As much as I love the character, I don't think I would main him if I hadn't started playing DBD before his rework.
Other than the teleport, I don't think his current power is worth salvaging. I am hoping for a change like Hillbilly's and Sadako's.
You know I realized I didn't like old Freddy because I thought well you have to put survivors to sleep just to hit them. Without realizing it was still useful since you could see auras and such. If anything they should try a mix between past and present Freddy. He puts survivors to sleep and can see their aura from long distances but remove the teleport since it basically is useless near the end but maybe keep the dream snares or something.

If OTR is changed, I reckon it will be a buff. Currently OTR (aside from a bug) is not a very good perk and many have given feedback that a killer can simply hit you right after the unhook and get rid of it already, which kind of defies the purpose of OTR as it doesn't effectively turn tunneling into a 2 hit chase but more like a 1 hit chase with a bit of a head start for that survivor.
The difference is that the killer doesn't need to put in much work to get the first hit, which already drastically reduces the chase time. On top of that, the killer have an equally long chase between the unhooked survivor and the rescuer, which means the only difference to them is that 1 survivor was already hooked and can be killed faster.
Huh didn't know that I think it's also because I constantly think if I hit that survivor they get the basekit borrow time removed then OTR afterwards sorta a stack guess I was wrong so basically OTR is just a really longer version of Borrow time but with DS.

The vast majority wouldn't last long at all! However, reasons would be different. Here are my thoughts on the "Why".
The Trapper: Fired for bullying and refering to staff as "maggots".
The Wraith: Fired for poor hygiene.
The Hillbilly: Fired for excessive murdering. Probably never hired as he killed the interviewer.
The Nurse: Fired for poor hygiene and unsafe work practice.
The Shape: Never hired - killed the interviewer.
The Hag: Fired for poor hygiene and eating the food.
The Doctor: He may last a bit longer, but ultimately fired for using customers as test subjects by lacing food with drugs or electric devices.
The Huntress: Fired for throwing food at customers.
The Cannibal: Fired for unethical food preparation practices, and introducing meat from "mystery sources".
The Nightmare: Fired for inappropriate behaviour during that one childrens birthday party.
The Pig: Fired for repetatively breaking rules.
The Clown: Fired for poor hygiene.
The Spirit: Fired for poor hygiene and poor customer service.
The Legion: May last a while, but eventually will leave (not fired) after killing the boss.
The Plague: Fired for extremely poor hygiene.
The Ghost Face: Like Legion, he's never fired, but interest is spraked once the mysterious deaths of staff and customers stop once he leaves the job.
The Demogorgon: Never hired because it's an animal.
The Oni: Fired for extremely poor and aggressive customer service.
The Deathslinger: Fired after a new contraption made to improve production ends up killing people.
The Executioner: Fired for being too sexy.
The Blight: Never fired, because the devs will always find a way to keep him at the top.
The Twins: Fired for poor hygiene.
The Trickster: Fired for being a knob to everyone.
The Nemesis: Never hired, due to obsession with hunting down specific people.
The Cenobite: Fired for pushing the limits of taste pleasure to unacceptable levels.
The Artist: Fired for poor hygiene.
The Onryō: Never fired. Quit after 7 days.
The Dredge: Never hired, but was mistaken for a lot of meat dumped in the back of the freezer.
The Mastermind: Wesker fires everyone else and uses the fast food restaurant as a front to experiment with viruses in food.
The Knight: Fired for inappropriate clothing.
The Skull Merchant: Fired because nobody liked her, even though she did get better towards the end. Reputation preceeded her.
The Singularity: Fired for "minor modifications" to the food.
The Xenomorph: Never fired. Only discovered after bursting out of the cook.
The Good Guy: Never hired because of being deemed being underaged, despite him protesting.
The Unknown: Fired for unknown reasons.
I'm sorry but Oni would be their go to for the let me get the manager for you.
Unknown I feel like would be fired also for the fact he just leaves his clones everywhere so they do his work even though they more then likely will just stand there with that smile.
Clown would probably be fired also for just constantly deep frying people's fingers.

I’ve often asked teammates who do this why they do it because I’m curious.
The most common answers I get are:
- ”I can do what I want, I don’t listen to other people’s advice”
- “To waste their time” (this is the most common one)
- “I’m giving them blood points” (usually the guy leaves before the killer can hit them so this is just a lie)
- “I dunno”
- “Who cares?”
- “######### off I bet you smell like #########”
- “Because EZ”
- “It’s not toxic lmao.”
- “But they are playing [insert killer] or using [insert perk] so it’s fine”
Basically there is no real reason why they do it aside from just being a pathetic #########. Don’t take it personally, they would do this to any killer that doesn’t destroy them. If it does bother you, take a few minutes to rest before starting your next game to clear your head. And there is nothing wrong if it does bother you, just remember that it’s because they are the pathetic one, not you.
I know usually when I know there aren't any pallets I just turn the volume on my TV down and watch videos to pass the two minutes or do basic things around my mainly straighten the place up a little.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/410194/okay-is-there-a-way-to-fix-this
It is most likely from your side even with the low ping but there are some things you could try to resolve the issue.
First, check https://downdetector.co.uk/ and find your ISP, this website will tell you if they had any intermittent issues today.
Secondly, you could try restarting your Wi-Fi hub (turn it off for 5 minutes then turn it back on) and also checking for loose wires on your modem or console, maybe your chord is faulty? (might not be but this could be an issue).
Thirdly, you can force a 5g connection by changing the Wi-Fi frequency band (so it doesn't switch between 2g and 5g and forces a stable connection) by going to your network, pressing options and switching the connection to "5g only" (this is how you'd do it on PS5, not sure if Xbox or previous versions allow you to also do this). You can also go into the advanced settings in your connected internet connection and change your MTU setting, usually lower is better, you can try anything between 1200-1500, if it's under this you will most likely disconnect.
Fourth, you could try port forwarding via your hub to your console, this also helps solve NAT issues by forcing an open NAT type (the constant handshake connection could be the issue here).
I'll thanks for the tip though I'm not a tech guy so if you can would you be able to example it in simple terms?

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a good day
I'm here to tell you that I'm very worried about the next tome, because it will be the tome on unkwnown and Sable, they are always making the tomes based on the dlcs, so when a dlc is released, the next tome will be of the characters that were released in the dlc, in many rare cases when there was the alien, there was no tome of them but they are licensed so it is more difficult to have them.
But I'm scared, because there's probably going to be a mission to use sable's invocation perk, and I really don't want that mission to exist, because my god, if the mission requires using the invocation, it's going to be impossible to play survivor during that period, seriously
If the challenge happens I feel like it's okay just have the perk and use it near the end of a match and done but if it's then escape then I'm good on not doing it.

I would say Slippery Meat.
I feel like the whole Luck/unhook mechanics should change. Maybe make Luck do other things (if it doesn’t already) and then maybe buff Slippery Meat.
I don’t know though… would it mess with Deliverance too much if that happened? Either way I believe Luck needs a rework or a reveal if it affects other mechanics and because of that I think Slippery Meat might need a buff.
If Slippery Meat guaranteed an unhook state, I wonder how Deliverance could change. Maybe Deliverance would be able to let you unhook yourself at second stage? That’d be interesting.
In a convoluted way I still think Slippery Meat needs a change.
I mean the luck thing could be changed to something simple like getting a better item from a chest or that item having a chance of having an add-on attached.

I disagree completely. It’s not super common for a killer to do this. Usually they just kill and go next. The fact they went out of their way not to kill the other survivor implies they didn’t feel right about it, the only times I’ve seen a killer do this is because they notice they keep running into the same survivor and not the other, and usually this means the other survivor hid a lot of the game. A survivor cannot help if a killer decides to spare them or play favorites. It’s interesting to me that you think the killer sparing the survivor they want to live is toxic but letting your team bleed out isn’t.
Okay I'll say this I was for whatever hiding all game not doing gens, entering chase or helping my team or even then just doing a single totem. Then it would be deserved since you do nothing you get punished but I never do that only time I won't do anything is in case of an IRL emergency. But I'll do gens and try being chased when healthy since being injured and entering chase isn't to good of an idea.

While I agree with your overall point, the Survivor shouldn’t team with the killer and lead them to their teammate. They can just go do a gen or open a door if they can.
The only time I can justify betraying a teammate is if that teammate did nothing for the whole match or actively tried to sabotage the team during the match, but even then, devs have stated working with the killer is a punishable offense.
Which I don't do since I'm not a Meg main I try to do gens and loop which looping doesn't work to well at times due to well hit validation but I still attempt I mean I do totems while people see it as boring if I notice that the killer is struggling I get a feeling they might have NOED so I'll do minor totem hunting if I see one I'll take care of it.
