It really didn't look like sarcasm, but thank you because I genuinely can't tell, tone's hard on the internet for me.
If they're facing a lot of slugging, why not bring perks to counter it like Unbreakable or items like a Medkit with a Syringe? That's usually what I do when slugging gets really high in my games, though admittedly I don't see much "until bleedout" or super long slugging. Frankly when I AM slugged it's usually at 2 people left for a Mori, which is understandable to me since it's just the Killer looking for their 4k and a cool animation while they do it (plus Moris give extra BP now). I genuinely have no issue with it; Slugging to me is only an issue when you do it at five gens from the word go or you do it JUST to bleed people out for four minutes. Otherwise, not a problem.
I fully respect you might have different feelings though, which is why I am glad BHVR is asking about it on the Survey. We need to once and for all define what slugging is so we can combat the most toxic and frustrating KINDS of slugging, because frankly it is a problem.
The problem with bringing anti-slug perks is that the game for some reason will just stop it. I'm not kidding I was being slugged a lot and then brought an anti-slug build and well suddenly it stopped but the minute I swapped back nope slugging again. I don't know if it's just garbage luck or the game making it an nightmare to just counter a killer

@CLHL said:
So you are asking for the killer to hook and facecamp someone with NOED? lol
It is the Endgame, of course the killer is going to slug if he has NOED, because that is the correct way to play such a situation. They are not going to take a single victim and hope for the survivors to not find the totem in time or to come and suicide trying to save their friend.
Have we really reached the point of complaining because the killer doesn't give up about turning the match even at the end?
I was also in an area where I was fed up with being constantly slugged. I know I can bring Unbreakable but it always enter that area where. I bring X perk to prevent something and suddenly it stops but I don't bring X perk and the thing that's bothering me starts again. Overall this posts are mostly when my salt levels in a high zone so take it with a well grain of salt. Overall I think most people here who are complaining are in a salty mood so they post to get their anger out...then play another match and repeat the cycle. So Overall my posts where I'm complaining about slugging or something is mostly because I've been having bad matches and just want to let off some steam.

Yea you're right, you cannot even mix it with different cosmetics, how cool would it be if there was a dedicated power cosmetic slot?!
Yeah like when she first was released in ptb I was thinking maybe they'll do it where the dog is a separate cosmetic? And it would work recolors qnd if it was a different breed boom purple rarity
-
I mean...then why not just hide everyone else prestige better yet with p100 one character you don't really get any reward like an achievement or special thing just a new icon to say hey I'm P100
-
I saw the amount of time thrill took with resilience. It would be worse if the killer got the noise notification. I get hex perks are strong but 70% reduction at 5 stacks is a little much even with resilience that's 61% which still doesn't put a dent in it as it's still making a five stack cleanse just slight shorter.

So a long time ago we used to have this thing called Splinter. It was to test run the killers before buying.
I played after their removal but if I remember you played the killer but no add-ons or perks if I remember.

Yeah saw the price and I was just thinking surely there is a reason for this right? I mean legendary skins usually come with like a new mori or change the character entirely. Like all the Eddie skins were legendary but you also got an entirely different character some also enter the pink rarity with a brand new mori but I'm sorry saying "Well it's because you get a new dog" is not a proper answer for that price even if it was a Saint bernard which is my favorite dog breed I wouldn't pay it because legendary rarities should be used if it adds a brand new mori or changes the character entirely

Fun to play but still weak u can dodge the Doggo way to easy also her Poodle Skin is way to Expensive 20 $ for a Skin really BHVR ?
Yeah I saw that and was shocked. Most legacy skins are 1450 cells but they also change the character entirely or just give them new animations but 20$ for what would be a ultra Rare outfit just for a different dog is a no go for me even if it was a Saint bernard.

@OnryosTapeRentals said:
Fun but a little messy. The dog behaves very weirdly at times, especially where multiple stories are concerned. Just had a match on Midwich and the search command basically just didn't function lol
Which is weird since Nurse and Pinhead work fine of two play buildings with their power not perfect but fine. Plus with the new basement perk the survivor got I try to command a search to basement and it won't work. Also she needs a re-call button since let's say you command a search and get nothing you have to wait for the dog to stop and run back when a re-call button would work well.
-
I feel fine with it 2v8 after the second or third day feels dull. 1v4 feels better because it's unpredictable. After a while it was just Wraith,Huntress, Trapper there wasn't a reason to add more characters after that. Problem is 2v8 also messes with matchmaking since 2v8 doesn't have it and with no one playing 1v4 matchmaking as no idea what to do.
-
For I prefer the events like bone chill or hollowed Blight but I won't lie when their just re-skins or don't use so many gimmicks. Bone chill is fun because you jump in snowman and throw snowballs which is a nice re-skin and throwing in a small thing or two with no real upgrade or downgrade is fun. Hollowed Blight just kicking pumpkins or if go further back just grabbing Blight from weird flesh mounds was perfect. To me having all these new gimmicks and such can be a little much I don't mind 2v8 or choas shuffle once in a while but the other problem is it messes with matchmaking I noticed it a lot with 2v8 if I wanted to play someone like unknown I would have to wait an extremely long time just to get a match which might be all over the place because matchmaking has to go into overdrive because everyone is playing 2v8. I like game modes but constant games modes can be a little fatiguing.
-
Not bad one problem is you don't get a button to call your dog back you have to swing your weapon to do so which can be a little annoying if your in the middle of a chase and miss a dog attack.
-

At least they leave a bot behind since they can't give up on first hook like on regular mode. Much better like that. I wish DBD would get rid of giving up on hook as a whole.
That means getting rid of attempt to escape which also need to re-work Slippery meat and Deliverance. But there's always a work around.
-
Also gonna just leave this legendary outfit idea got since I thought of the serial killer tying to the unknown theory
The Manupulator
In life, He hid his crimes behind a myth. In the realm he may continue them and feed the myth.
Homemade mask(head/mask)
A crudely made mask that scared all those who bared witness to him before their death.
Urban Legend's shadow(body)
Sunday's best was his go to clothing it fed the myth of a uncanny being that almost looked human
The Fabricator(weapon)
He never liked sticking to one weapon. While the axe worked he liked to tweak around with ideas.
Voice-lines because yeah
(When selected)
You believe in monster? Maybe you should.
Another believer? Perfect.
This is how my legend grows
(During mori)
You shouldn't dig to deep
You wanted a legend? Now you got one
Fear will make the myth real
Remember this face
(Start of a match)
One myth ends and another begins
They'll blame the unknown not me
Let's make a story they'll never forget
(Husk or random voicelines during the match)
(Mocking)
So you think your safe? How cute
Why run? You'll be part of the legend
There's no where to hide from me
Run while you can. I'm always watching
Stop hiding please I'm just here to help
(Pleading and Deceptive)
Someone out there? Please I need help
The beast is coming please help me
Open up I begging
Your safe with me. I'll protect you
Your all alone? It's not safe around here
The myth is real. I saw it
(More common lines from husks)
It's cold out here...please let me in
Help me please
Don't run I can save you from that creature
It knows if you dig to deep
(Animations because seriously I might actually draw this)
When selected
Will show default Unknown before sorta jittering revealing the Manupulator who will walk towards the main standing point
(Breaking Animations)
Generator: Leans forward reaching inside and pulling out wires and tosses them aside
Wall: Slams Axe(the Fabricator but I'm just going to say axe) against the wall drags down before slamming it against the wall again breaking it
Pallet: Kicks it before slamming the axe down breaking it
Closing hatch: grabs the door and slams it shut
Vaulting: Similar to Blight's vault but more medium vault Animation
Locker search(empty): Opens one door peaks inside before close
Locker search(survivor): Opens the door to see a survivor and yanks their arm pulling them out and then lifts them into the carry Animation
Carry and pick up are the same as the original killers over the shoulder and such
Stun: Drops to one knee before standing up adjusting his mask.
Power(UVX): Took some time to figure out how this would work with a more human approach so screw it. The power uses the tendrils but it comes out of the eyes and mouth part of the mask
Mori: Walks up to survivor and bends down using the axe to lift their head to meet his eyes. Removes his mask to reveal his face for a second before usual Unknown mori tendrils and poof smoke survivor.
Also bonus outfit of the Manupulator but as the actual Unknown
The Fabricated Truth
In life he used a story to consume the fear of others. In the realm his story consumed him.
Melded Mask(head)
Once in the realm it wasn't for long till the being he help creator took him and everything he had
Assimilated form(body)
The being already looked enough like him so not much was needed to add more to his appearance to look more human.
Entity's Fabricator(Weapon)
The weapons he used fused into one. With the last moments he had to remember he only knew more fear would be brought.

More people dc in regular mode than 2v.8 in my experience. So if you you're telling the DCers to go back to the regular mode they're just going to DC there.
I mean yeah but I think it's just one of those things that I'll never understand. Why DC when you haven't gone down the match just start and someone went down not even you so why DC. I think it's also just been so many times it's started to bug mainly a match where a teammate was AFK the entire match i got about six hooks and not kidding last gens pops and they get replaced by a bot. Overall it just kinda was bugging me a lot during the day seeing constant DCs.

It's as much a sense of The Unknown's true being as any other idea or theory about it.
There is one aspect which may need further explaining, which is an Egregore relies much on many people thinking it into existence. So it needs people to believe in it to take its place in reality. The Unknown relies on being unknown, and the way survivors can defend themselves against it to a degree is to "know" it; to view The Unknown in order to remove the weakness, or to observe the remnants it leaves scattered.
I'm interested to know how the duality of this theory - both needing to be known yet also unknown - can co-exist. As I've said before, your theory is as good as any. It would be interesting though how this conflict works for it.
Hmm interesting well I think it still goes to the whole idea of people still making up new things about it. But the idea is maybe it also will target those who might go a bit to close to its true nature of what it is. Sorta the idea of oh its based on this thing the unknown might not bother but if you start digging deep enough to find out what it truly is then it ends up targeting you because of the fact your finding out the truth about it. When I have a chance I'll explain possibly how the theory could tie into its add-ons also.
Okay back so add-ons to add to my theory.
Obscure game cartridge: So it goes to the government conspiracy area where people would believe the unknown or project Apple pie is from well the government possibly linking to the unknown being a hallucination caused by it possibly or bring some weird creepy pasta esc oh when you turn on the game weird guy looking back at me.
Device of undisclosed origin: More enter the idea of the unknown being an alien possibly trying to mimic a person but well failing at it.
Sketch attempt: This more enters what unknown looks like. Imagine basically seeing a drawing of a thing that could kill you if you dug to deep into looking at it or enters the whole look at this photo and your going to die.
Blurry photo: Like most myths and legends even the most normal photo if you have a weird blur that looks like a person suddenly you got this myth of something in the woods.
Homemade mask: I could see this as more oh killer uses this story as a way of getting away with his crimes by having it link to what he's heard about it.
Front-page article and Milk carton: So I'll have it sorta link to the homemade mask in a way. Basically the killer let's call him Howard. Howard would use the unknowns story as a way of luring people into the woods in some way or using the woods as his play ground. Milk carton explains a girl took the long way home possibly passing the woods where Howard stalked and kidnapped her. Front-page article simple the woods are big so Howard would scare them off and try picking each off but possibly left one alive so the story could spread further.
So this could also enter the idea of the unknown's story was spread further because the serial killer or Howard used it and made it to his advantage which could have increased more people wanting to figure out if the unknown is a real being or something else but also linking it to other things that might not have actually even been extremely close to connecting to the unknown's true origin.
Overall it could be that as another theory that the unknown's story is because of a serial killer's "hobby".
I think I need a new tin foil hat

Listen for me I don't like facing Nurse would I say she's OP? No the reason you might be having trouble against her is because people who are playing Nurse only play her so you won't get that player who wants to play her because oooo seems like fun she is really tricky to get the hang of unless the survivors are not that good at the game. Overall would Nurse need a nerf? No. Do I wish I was able to practice against her without ending up on the ground in two seconds? Yes. Plus Nurse's ability can be very funky with hit validation but she does not need a nerf.
-
Oh I know that feeling clearly it would hit but no but when I play survivor it's just like haha funny survivor go down two miles away. It sucks more with dead hard I know it's rare to see now but I've had matches where clearly I downed someone but hit validation more registered them using dead hard so I hear them down scream but nope they still standing.

5 seconds is far too long but some kind of mechanic to make endgame a little more competitive in this regard wouldn't be amiss, less even because of camping exit and moreso just because endgame is boring. something more like
-exit gate progress now slowly decays to prevent 99s. this is on a delay and isn't especially fast
-after being open for 10 seconds, the entity wall forms
-survs need to interact with the entity wall for two seconds to leave, during which time they're grabbable
as it stands, an open gate means the killer can no longer meaningfully interact with survivors so it's unclear to me why the game is able to continue for as long as EGC timer enables it to
Simple ideas or a thing where if a survivor stands there no healing just standing there and not enter chase the timer runs out way faster not link instant boom but like fast enough that way if a survivor decides to be a little to cocky they get screwed over.
Because I'm not going to any exit gate and watching you Teabag I'm going to look around for any downed pallets or if I'm playing a certain killer using their power to farm some BP for myself and stay away from the active exit gate so survivors basically are forcing themselves to just stand there and not earn BP(I know their more care about being annoying but I mean at this point I just roll my eyes and see them more as being childish and think to myself maybe they don't win often anything to make me sleep at night)

I mean so as a killer main literally 97% percent of the time, when I get steam rolled and they send a ggs I usually respond back ggs wp unless they were just unbearable you know. I can admit when I get outplayed or when I make too many mistakes. My issue is the sore winners, that come in and start talking trash. A simple ggs from a team that just cooked me isnt a trigger for me, they probably just came off a terrible game and played my match really well so it was in fact a good game. I have very few games where the win con was completely out of my reach.
I don't know I don't want to sound like a 50 year old dad who's pulling a how do you do fellow kids move. But a lot has changed in dbd that I'm not used too. So me saying gg is just because a lot of other people have done it even if I had a garbage game and decide to pull the plug on it they say gg or gg wp. I don't know maybe I have to just not say it anymore. For the love of anything I faced a Chucky a while back who slugged people on the ground the entire match I mean gens weren't flying they just wanted to slug I guess. I said GG because I was wanting to show good sportsmanship and boom got banned from their twitch chat. I don't know maybe saying gg just shouldn't be a thing for me anymore knowing some people will think I'm saying "get good".

I still don't like that he's 110%. He feels SO SLOW anytime you're not rushing with your power. Like you're never gonna get a good survivor at a loop with his speed. That's why I don't think he's Nurse level like so many people think.
I think the reason he feels slow is perspective maybe. He is rather small and since your in third person it might feel like you passing that one rock tiles feels slowly then when playing a killer who's in first person. So most likely it's just a perspective thing.

I play anonymously on PS5. I'm not interested in hearing anyone's opinions on the game after it is over, good or bad. But if I were to be open to post game chat then I definitely wouldn't be in the mood for a GG after everyone involved knows it wasn't a good game. The polite thing to do is say nothing in that situation. Even if you honestly had the best of intentions (which I frankly doubt), anything you say could be misconstrued into rubbing salt into the wound.
I did have good intentions. I say gg because I had fun sure he DCed but it was fun facing him. I don't start basically mocking him and saying why DC because then it would be a bit hypocritical since I'm guilty of DCing.

It's near impossible to miss with chucky after some practice, what do you want more?
not only are you able to do 90° flicks behind cover, you can also move backwards on loops and do a 90° flick then, that as combination allows you to almost always hit the survivors xD
Playing on controller so flicking is not really a thing

It only gives me the error a game account with identical information already exists I'm just trying to link it

Yeah I really just need to get rid of those last bits of competive spirit in me and relax. Screw it if I don't get a 4k if I get a hook I should be happy.
-
@Xernoton said:
No offense but you should never get that frustrated with a game. Period.
I fully understand that DBD can be frustrating, though not to that extend. Something you can do is recognise patterns. Are you having a rough day with DBD and all matches seem to be horrible? Step away as soon as you realise it.
For anger management there is no one size fits all approach. People have different ways to do it and you will need to find one that works for you. Some people scream, others get physical (which we are trying to avoid) and others again try to do something productive instead. One thing that might help is to do push ups. Define a rule for yourself like: "Anytime I would get angry and do X thing, I will do Y amount of push ups." The amount of push ups you do should be high enough to leave you too exhausted to do whatever you would do otherwise.
Yeah I kinda realized afterwards that my matches weren't going well and I should have just put the controller down for a second. I paid the price for my foolishness and regret it. Reason why I'm trying to just let myself learn of ways to enjoy the game and cool down for two seconds and maybe not get so into the heat of the moment

I have played both sides and come across 'sweats' on both sides. I will say though that to me there is no point interacting with the void stuff as a survivor in SoloQ its just gets you killed.
For the void its nice but it's sucks a bit for survivor since I'm thinking oh I can get a quick escape by jumping into the void run for a bit and escape through another portal but it's just the amount of time it takes to interact with it. While yes I know it's not long still if you look how long it takes both sides a survivor who just got injured and goes to the void probably will be easily found and downed by the time the killer finishes their cool down animation and goes to the void.

It's honestly the most infuriating thing when facing a Huntress. You're well around a wall and get downed. The hit box is ridiculous
Because it's a circle but even then hit validation. Huntress, Alien and Nemesis are three characters that need to hit boxes tweaked a bit since Alien they have the proper hit then the after hit when the camera pans when the animation ends now if they wanted to keep that hit detect as is then simple. Have it where Alien slashes their tail sideways instead of a straight line.

Dbd players in general cannot handle defeat. Should I learn how the killers power works and try fun tricks? No the killer is underwhelming, I DC and complain online. Should I learn how the power works so I can counter the killer? No I just go next on hook/Dc and complain how op the killer is.
As someone who has played since 2016, this actitude has always been a staple of dbd, players would rather ignore all tool the game gives you if that means they dont have to admit they might be having a skill issue. That trickster player you mention and the people who give up once they fail a chase/get a killer they dont like, are prime examples of the dbd player archetype aka someone who cannot handle the game not being an easy win.
The difference is also when the power also hits when clearly on my screen it doesn't example Nemesis at tier one swings and hits me even though clearly it doesn't on my screen. Now should the killer not use their power? No that's dumb. For me I find using it at times or for other purposes but also using it as intended leaves that unpredictability example. When I play Hillbilly sure I try downing with the chainsaw but I mainly use his chainsaw to travel across the map. For me it's when the killer constantly uses their power over and over 50% of the time the match can be boring because theirs no guessing of oh will he use his power the other 50% is mainly the killer using both their power and weapon. It's sorta similar to how I feel about the meta I have fun when the killer brings other perks besides the meta because it keeps me guessing and let's me practice against those perks once I see Pain res or Grim active once I know it's the meta. I know my fun isn't their priority but to me it's fun when I see something I don't usually see. If I play Nemesis I use his whip sure but I also use his fists to keep survivors guessing. If play Trickster I don't hug the survivors and constantly throw knifes I will throw knifes but also use the weapon. Overall it's just the idea of use both the power and the weapon to keep em guessing and be unpredictable.

The Swamps have always had strange spawns for totems, hooks, gens, hatch, and even the players themselves since 2017 I believe. Now keep in mind those maps also used to be much much bigger too.
But that's the thing why not either A. Sink it by a bit or B. Fix the RNG if the hatch to prevent it from spawn basically in the middle of no where and I'm not suggesting oh it has to be in the middle or more mean that just can't be in corners of the map or basically zones no one goes too.
-
@tenoresax said:
Hatch can spawn at the very far edges and corners of the map due to weird development stuff on swamp (I think) unlike basically every other map, which is why it feels so much harder to find on swamp particularly.
They really need to tweak that because if a killer or survivor can't find it aka two people covering ground without left behind maybe they need to fix that.

They're increasingly removing pallets. I was on Borgo the other day and wish I'd recorded it, a whole large section of the map had no pallets. And there were multiple gens within that area. I like to look at my nearby options before hopping on a gen so I can prepare where to go but there was just nothing.
They shouldn't okay I would get if it's some modifier but increasing the amount of pallets removed isn't a good idea. Because there are maps where a pallet is needed if there isn't a window and what's funnier let's remove a bunch pallets on these maps but level the game aka the map with the most god pallets alone.
-
Option to disable mori animation...unless your talking about survivor side like if you get moried you auto-skip it so you can go to result screen and more on to your next match. Then I guess? But if you like all together then it makes no sense the mori is there as a quick kill the animation plays as both a reward but also that way survivors have a chance to repair gens and quickly reset while it goes one. Disabling the animation wouldn't happen as your basically just saying okay hold down button and dead if you want it disabled then play Onyro since at max condemned she has maybe the fastest mori.

If matchmaking is working well then yes but if not no. Overall every day I play dbd it's a coin flip either or not I'm going to have a good time. I removed that whole see it has competitive aspects but with the fact toxic players love pushing my buttons every single match or matchmaking being really weird it's hard for me to enjoy it would I have uninstalled the game? Sure if all the money I spent on it went back to me but overall I see dbd just has the game you hate but you still go back to it. Heck I've started playing other games some even multi-player and noticed I have way more fun with that because I'm less mad. Played COD not to long ago and even then you got some toxic players but I still had a fun time.

Even without headphones just hearing a survivor going down was enough for me to turn my volume down a lot. So I sitting thinking "there's no way players will destory their eardrums just to play one killer right?"
