Set FOV to 92 (if you are on PC bind "LOOK UP" to a key)
Stand 40m away from the yellow generator (FOV 92 ensures that the Aura LOD(level of detail) changes at 40m), aim at the side where a survivor is sitting, aim straight up and lob a 0 charge hatchet.
Repeat forever and get called a hacker.
If you haven't read the post....I have no idea how far that is. The game never specifies how far 24 meters is so I won't know how far 40 meters is. While thanks for the advice still doesn't help as the game should have a grading score hitting a survivor over 24 meters away because hell no idea what 8 meters is as to me 24 meters is the length of a tennis court but in dbd terms it could be the length of killer shake for all I know

They can't change achievements as long as they're still technically possible. I think that's a platform requirement thing for either Microsoft or Sony.
Still possible....I'm sorry but there's still possible and holy hell you better be ready to hit something. Left for dead to me even though I have it is seen as impossible since it requires at this point way to much to go right just to earn it. Bless you or even deep cleansing is still possible but requires something completely out of your control. This is what I see it as
Achievements are meant to be hard at times because well you have to earn them. But when it requires so much for a little out come then no. A lot of maps have nothing but clutter. Hit boxes are BS when playing huntress. You have to know what 24 meters is when hell I don't even know what 8 meters is in this game(also no don't start with this count to X and you have 24 meters) when your middle of a match counting unless your playing legion really isn't at all what you care about. Steam and Xbox have 10. Playstation SHOULD also be 10 or if you want to keep it 100 then just hitting survivors over 24 meters as Huntress while still annoying it isn't has hard as downing a survivor 24 meters away.

I mean I think everyone has had those times where they need to use the washroom and forget to not que up and suddenly you hear a scream and see your character on hook. But you can't blame the killer it's an easy hook and I mean their probably slugging you because their either A. Wanting to give you a chance to play or B. Punishment for trying to go next since they don't want your team screwed over because someone wanted to go next.
I've ending up on hook because I needed the washroom and I stilled played the match. But also lethal I feel like has nothing to do with this yeah he saw you weren't moving plus it's just common sense to go after a person who isn't moving or the closet person. So as a lethal user if your not going to move at the very start I'll go to you since I know your not covering as much ground.

i think there is 2 major factors that make her hits feel very strong against survivors, the fact she has full control of her camera during a blink is crazy when literally every killer that has a movement based power has very restricted movement with their camera during their dash or burst in speed (besides spirit). And her green ‘heavy panting’ addon that gives her a whopping 30% increased lunge on her second blink to where on both the nurse and survivor screen she doesn’t even touch the survivor with her weapon but still gets the hit is the other factor. Both of those makes trying to dodge a nurse that blinked relatively close to you feel almost impossible to dodge imo.
That makes sense with how she has full control of her camera. While someone like spirit her ability doesn't involve attacking she also has a split second cool down between her appearing and hitting. But for Nurse since she can teleport on a whim trying to dodge her is not as easy so having it be restricted like Wesker or Oni or if not restricted Blight
-
I voted no. 2v8 is fun...for the first few days afterwards it's dull. Difference between 2v8 and normal dbd is unpredictability...at times mostly with perks. There's no real difference other then some new killers being added. I would rather just have it be killers are switched out to at least spice things up. Trapper is unplayable in this game mode so if your teamed up with him most likely gens will go flying as he has no real map pressure. Killer que times are horrendous where I could probably walk down the road to the store buy a drink and walk back. Survivor sure has no que time but not much fun there since most times it's legion with usually Wesker. Nurse is non-existent along with Wraith, Huntress, Spirit. I've had maybe one of each since the start of the event along with a few blights. Overall is 2v8 a nice set of jiggling keys so the dev might work on fixing some problems? Maybe do I want it permanent? No not at all? Would I want to see other game modes? Yes definitely. I casted my vote no because I was getting bored with 2v8 only reason I play it is because everyone else it and I would rather have a chance of playing then waiting in normal dbd for a match.
-
....well hopefully there's a survey at the end of all this because I realized of BS Trapper is in this game mode. He's not bad to face but terrible to play you don't start with all your traps and large maps means having to walk across the map to grab it and place it somewhere plus in the end no map pressure at all. Overall not really happy getting a 2v8 extension since most of it is waiting for killer. I know bots were bad but at least they reduced the time somewhat. Plus I really don't get much of the hype with 2v8 cool more players and fun for the first few days but after a week I mostly just sit there play a match and call it a day since fun fact not much goes on. Lights out and Choas at least last a week and to shake things up but 3 weeks of 2v8 aka nearly a month kinda gets boring after a while since you don't have the mix and match of perks or unpredictability of Choas or the scares or on edge of lights out. I noticed when playing survivor if your playing against a Trapper you have a slight higher chance of winning because of the fact no map pressure. I never see Nurse, Wraith, Hillbilly, Deathslinger so it's mostly Blight, Nemesis, Wesker and Legion. So overall 2v8 could just remove some killers and replace them why not instead of Nurse through in I don't know Unknown basically switch out killers once and a while to shake things up.

I hope BHVR makes 2v8 permanent at some point, it's the best mode for casual players.
Sure but they also need to then figure out how to work que times because killer is a nightmare waiting about fifteen minutes for a single match. So overall would it be nice in your opinion yes but in my opinion not really. Just fix que times with it and maybe my opinion on it will change. I know people will say bots were horrendous in 2v8 and their not entirely wrong it was a hit and miss with them but it helped with que times to a degree even if it was small.
-
Hopefully it won't be extended. Because I would enjoy going back to regular without the extremely long que times plus it's lasted a good while I think it's time for to take a break.
-
For me 2v8 is good...for about the first three or four days. Bots while not everyone liked them I found alright I know it didn't do much for wait time but still seemed I got into matches a little faster. I mostly found it annoying with characters like Trapper or Hillbilly.
Trapper kinda has to use his traps a lot and on massive maps it can be a little annoying when your chasing a bunch of survivors seeing Trapper having to walk across the map to grab a bear trap then walk back to place it. Hillbilly more just the whole constantly using his power yes it's insta down but maps have strong tiles so I see survivors running them around easily and just constant chainsaw usage. So overall Trapper could have needed a change like starting with all his traps or something. But also I enjoy 2v8 it's not overall amazing I mean none of the modifiers a 10/10 for me. But it's not my overall favorite Lights Out made the game scary and it stayed for the proper duration. Choas did...alright not bad but not good I know BHVR was trying to say "hey remember these perks exist so try using these" but well not all perks can work alone. But 2v8 is just eh to me I get the change to it where you need to pick survivors up to cage them but well it takes a good while so even late flashlight saves are powerful. Plus well bots not bad...not good their either useless or in some cases when I play killer really god damn competent. Should it stay 2 weeks? No I don't think so but should it say a week? Maybe a week with 2v8 is fine because it gives everyone a break from the base game but doesn't overstay it's welcome and well extending it kinda doesn't help as some people get sick of it like Choas and Lights out about a week and boom their gone unless it does really well. But even just taking a break from the modifiers would be nice or just throwing a goofy one in for a day or two like what my little Oni did just two days and gone. Plus modifiers kinda mess up with match making and as someone who complains a lot about match making it's not super riveting since there isn't match making after a while as far as I know it's going to be a grumbled mess for a good bit.

Well ig that means bhvr lied AGAIN abt fixing a bug. For the record, this is a bug, that according to official game news WAS suppose to be fixed. I haven't seen this bug once but if ur still seeing it within 12 hours of the patch, then ig they just lied abt removing like they have with a few bugs lately.
I have "no deal" you've seen me discussing a single situation in multiple posts yes, in which from what i have seen on both sides, isn't occurring. And in a newer post i made, i proved that 1) survivor is the better role still, And 2) Bots are in fact not a downside. I never said they weren't buggy in other ways however, they do infact make questionable plays in chase, which is their least prioritized purpose. However the pre running when touching TR does not happen from what I've seen, and even if it did, thats very normal, lore accurate behavior.
Basically this while event surrounding around the theme of RE as be told to not be played or well BHVR if I remember said not to play Wesker because of the bug so basically you can't play you A RE character because BHVR didn't bother to fix it instead saying "well just don't play them" I knownit would suck but maybe kill switch him in 2v8 to help prevent this bug from happening and people having to DC just to play the game?

Killer shack is a really badly designed loop where survivors have all the power, AND they can use it over and over. And honestly most pallets these days are almost as strong.
I thought that when they introduced remastered Lery's and the breakable wall mechanic, that the bricked up wall spots of those different rooms would be that map's breakable walls. They could still do that, but I guess they'd have to turn the bricks blue, red, and yellow like they do pallets.
Or have really jacked up walls like the bricks are coming apart with yellow tape around them. Same with Hawkin's a wall that looks really damaged.

Well i mean it IS a Underground Lab… Makes sense don't it =D
Tbf Gideon to me is fine.. just gotta play around most of the tiles and pick your chases..
Yeah but the main problem is amount of God pallets the bathroom has two which is fine because once that gen is done no just turns into a safe pallet. But then you have just actual God pallets that aren't like killer shack where you could work around it. Like the one in the middle of the stack of boxes where you have to circle the entire way around and possibly longer if the route is near some gens. So like there's God pallets, a few safe pallets then just ultra God pallets where you HAVE to break it

Idk how Dying Light Sbiffle Nwo and Bloodhound is random but.. kinda overkill if ya ask me.
Or Grim Embrace. Pop Pain Dms on Billy
i just wanted atleast a single Aura Reading. i didn't get more than bbq twice in Chaos Shuffle.
Edit: Also lets not add breakable Walls to these Maps… i don't wanna have to deal with a Breakable Wall situation again.
Or just at least removing God pallets not all I mean killer shack pallet is fine but a lot of maps cough Gideon *cough* as wat to many God pallets or even then just really safe pallets I won't lie just remove some of them because playing killer there is horrendous. Also I say had breakable walls to Hawkins and Lery's mostly because you try go cut a survivor off only to realize that the wall is extremely long with no doors or even a single vault zone.
-
SoloQ to me is horrendous. With being screwed by my team because I'm a random. Teammates just going on one hook. Being slugged because the killer NEEDS the 4k instead of just hooking and hoping for the best I mean you won more kills then escapes so you know. Then just matchmaking in general I won't lie playing something like Dark Souls with no idea on how to play it would seem more fun then hoping to get one good match of dbd in soloQ

I would say Nurse, but not even the best players can deal with/counter her. That’s the reason why she’s banned from comp.
It used to be Plague, Legion, and Pinhead- but the DBD community has become a lot better of not cleansing, not healing, and doing the lament box.
As of now, I say Sadako. Players are still not doing TV’s. You have to suppress her power. I’m seeing an increase of players dying to condemn at one or no hook stages. If everyone in solo queue does their part of doing TV’s, then she wouldn’t wreck the team at 3 and 4 gens. They’ll still lose, but at least they won’t get destroyed.
I think the main thing with Sadako is also her short teleport cool-down I faced her once and basically got destroyed because her TV's were close together then I made max condemned so had no real time to grab a tape because all the TVs were off so I can't grab a tape.

In which way focused old matchmaking more on skill? In my experience it works well most of the time, if people actually stay in the game and try.
Old matchmaking was simply a 50 hours player against 10k, that's really damn stupid. Did I learn the game a lot faster, because of the survivors with several thousands of hours I played against? Probably yes. Was it fun? Not really.
Is that now better? Most of the times: yes.
I can tell it works okay, because I know against what people my girlfriend plays with around 300 hours. So I don't know what you mean with "it was better".
I wanna see what kind of games your getting because holy hell match making hates me I could have escaped one match then suddenly get stomped on for the rest of the day no matter what time of day it is.

A basic build I use are Dead Rabbit & J. Myers Memorial.
Perks I use are Monitor, Surge, Corrupt and Nowhere to Hide.
Monitor and Dead Rabbit makes your TR extremely small, making sneaking up really easy. If I kick a gen in Tier 2 it might reveal Survivors and they won't even notice, Nowhere to Hide has a 24 metre range while I have a 6 metre Terror Radius, making instadowning unsuspecting Survivors way easier. And Surge is just really good on Myers or Ghostface, it saves time and gives you more regression than a regular kick.
With Vanity Mirror, I'd use Save the Best for Last and maybe a different kind of slowdown instead of Surge, since instadowning is no longer possible.
Hmm interesting so I guess instead of surge something like Pop or Oppression?

Getting send back 10 Ranks was fine IMO. When you went from Rank 1 to Rank 10 or Rank 11 (whatever it was). The problems with Rank-based Matchmaking started with the Devs making Rank Reset less impactful and only setting you back to the next Color.
But Emblems would still need some work, but it would be better than MMR what we have now. Because this is truely random matchmaking what is going on.
See I get just going by emblems can be bad but it's at least better then how many kills because I think bots shouldn't count because guess what their basically just you against the game no real skill there or people going on first hook either because their teammates hate them or because they're not happy. Having it going by the emblems is an idea aka points/skill congrats you repaired a lot of gens and did a few totems here you go an iridescent emblem with some points to go into your match making. A bronze emblem for going down a lot well we'll remove a point or two just in case. Silver for being chased and pallet stuns well not to shabby but we'll give you a point or two just to be sure. Even for killer it could work. Iridescent for 12 hooks? Well I'll be darned here you go. Hmm a bronze chase emblem must of had a hard time getting downs easily well we'll take some points away and see if this matchmaking zone can work for you.
I don't know how many points for what but it's an idea using the Emblems can be useful for a decent form of matchmaking that actually fits the name SBMM

A very 'worst case' scenario. I'd wager it doesn't happen often. This is the reason you do this? Because you always think its a hatchrat? Interesting. :P
But Ill be honest, if this post OP put up is their biggest issue at the moment, then I'd say they're doing quite well compared to most other complaints, lol. Personally, I make sure I go down in a good spot, and try to make sure the killer knows they're getting this because I have allowed it. Gotta make your own fun in this game, sometimes lol. And I wasn't even toxic! Wow!
It was a annoyed rant I post annoyed rants when I deal with something lot constant slugging, constant camping, or in this case basically waiting on the ground for the killer to pick me up move me two feet to the right just to mori me. I do this mostly to get the grumps out instead of bottling it up until everything unleashes into a massive fit of rage

M&A keeps my TR nice and small prior to chase. I pop Tier III and my TR gets MASSIVE. Get a down with Dark Devotion, huge TR stays on slug, I get to be an Undetectable Insta-down Myers for 25-ish seconds.
This was in like, 2021, so who knows if it still works, but it was fun once.
While nice idea I'm not one for slugging

I mean, they could do that, sure. But then there is still the point that players who were around when the game launched AND stayed around despite the horrible Bloodweb experience deserved their Reward. Because back then the Bloodweb was a) way slower and b) also way bigger… Let alone that Progression was slower.
So I understand it that they want to keep it exclusive to those players who earned it back then.
Yeah though definitely their needs to be something for prestiging maybe like the personal perks get a bronze, grey and gold outline for their perks in game.

Meh, I disagree. Just because you played longer should not give you exclusive stuff. And yes, I also think that Legacy should be back in some form, but I can understand why BHVR is not doing it, because it is not really compareable - the people who earned Legacy are those who supported the game from the start and it has a bitter aftertaste if others get what the people who supported the game from the beginning (which is usually the roughest time for a game) got.
And I dont think that the Crowns were that hard to get. The Survivor ones were harder, since you had to escape with a Crown, but I dont think that those were really hard. And should you only get something because you played during that time?
Okay how legacy should be earned if brought back is simple...prestige level boom and a good length into the prestige level because you work hard to get it. Maybe 98,99 and 100 or something else
-

My longest was over 12 hours iirc. I know that one was in 2018 because Legion wasn't out yet. Can't remember the specific time, because I went to bed after a couple hours of the stand-off, also bugged inside an object, stuck without a way out.
Shortest was probably in a similar time period. I remember a game lasting two seconds because the only person who loaded in DC'd instantly.
12 hours? The match shuts down after 2 hours

Two weeks seems to be a good length, with the option to extend it an extra week if the player count for that modifier is high. I think that gives BHVR time to work on the mod before the next version, gives us time to play it, but doesn't overstay its welcome.
If they ever get 2v8 to a place where they are aren't making radical overhauls to it between releases, that might become the indefinite exception.
2v8 as indefinite could be fine if they fix the que times for the game when 2v8 shows up

First of all, selling accounts (Steam Accounts in this case) is not legal, so people might not want to do that. And honestly, if there is a Steam Account with Legacy Outfits, I would not buy it, since it is very likely that those are hacked and not legit.
Then, when it comes to showing of Legacy… I mean, it is rare and this is why people use it. I am quite happy to see Legacy-Outfits in my Lobbies, because they are so rare (obviously only when they are legit). And I would use them as well if I would have some, but sadly there is nothing compareable to a long playtime or a high level of devotion.
And when it comes to Skill… Legacy means nothing. I have seen people around with less than 1000 hours, but playing since 2016 (so they might have Legacy or at least had the ability to get it). Legacy might mean that you play longer, but not that you are playing more often or that you are actually good at the game (since having more hours does not mean that you are better than someone with less hours, at some point you peak).
I think especially during events like Halloween you might see more Legacy-players, simply because they only play DBD during events.
Would've said the same for anniversary crowns since you rarely see them unless it's the anniversary but well BHVR kinda ruined that since you know you worked hard to unlock it for survivor and killer then next year was the same thing then BHVR just says "oh here's a code to unlock them all" but I guess it also shows that you put hard work into unlocking them like that golden shirt for Dwight which I'm wondering if that person is even still playing at this point. Okay I'll just throw this in giving a code for the 4th and 5th year crowns was a little bit of kick to the gut to people how had to run in and grab them. I remember threw a few fits when playing survivor because I was close to getting it and then getting camped.
-
Your not wrong playing choas I realized that man some perks just require others to work well or some are just not good. Insidious I don't see much value to since it was for meme builds but since those are not as common well Insidious needs a new ability most of Huntress's perks are a need to tweak like territorial works if your doing a basement build if your not then boom no use. I have better luck with survivor because the perks at least have some value alone....minus no mither I will never enjoy that perk.

For chaos shuffle and 2v8 I'd say 2 weeks.
If they ever try Lights Out again I'd only give that 1 week since it's been generally unpopular the last two times (personally I hope we never see it again).
As much as I initially wanted chaos shuffle to be permanent I don't think it's feasible for any modifier or game mode to be permanent in the long term since separate queues messes up the queue times too much (and bots are not an acceptable solution imo).
Okay I'll give my two cents for the whole bot thing I feel like if your going into a modifier like 2v8 where que times can be fairly long have bots can help and a way to help balance it is that if someone let's say a survivor is searching for a match boom a bot in that lobby is removed and replaced. The timer will not activate is more the 45% of the lobby are bots or 3/8 of them are players at a 50/50 split the timer will start but extended as it's a back up in case more players join in. So for modifiers bots I feel like can help with que times but permanent no not in the slightest.

Problem with Nurse is you have to try fixing her power which has to use the server to work but with what they see vs what I see all relys on the server which is the major issue. So it's either they need a back up server just for Nurse or a way to tune her power.

That's all I want to see my MMR for just so I can see how insane it is because clearly doing nothing all match still makes your MMR go up because you escaped. Performance should go to MMR not how many kills or if you escaped.

I did make a killer once caller the Undertaker his map was an abandoned graveyard

Yep, it's very frustrating how stingy they are with providing any stats related to the game
That would be cool seeing your stats even it pointless a lot of games do it here's the stats that they could do
Most played survivor/killer
Most used perks
Average generator completions
Average escapes
Average sacrifices

Coincidentally pyramid Head can bypass with his cage so the person is being an ass.
Whow easy there captain no need to use logic

My first match of this event was a Pyramid head just slugging and not 4k slugging but he downs someone i'm near him and boom chases me all the way across the map but also slugs through out the rest of the match. It's one of those things where if your that worried about DS just realize no one in the event has their main build on and even then DS is a 1 out of 149 which is a 0.0067% chance of a single survivor having it. But even then slugging during a event? Really?

The outfits are region locked? What region I can get them in north America pretty easily so why would the be region locked there isn't anything over the top about them even then it's a horror game.

Okay I'll say this...slugging I feel is valid if it's a bully squad. I just had a match where they basically brought anti-hooking and dead Dawg then of course highest floor and so on so forth. Slugging then I feel is valid because they want to act like that go for it I'll prevent you from doing anything. Got a 4k with a bleedout, two sacrifices and a mori since I remember the tactic of drop them off a ledge to ignore Boil Over. That kind of slugging i feel like is valid because it's a way of by passing a bully squad.

Well, there are cases to leave a Survivor down for a long time sometimes, but there is no reason that slugging everyone at 5 gens or letting people bleed out for four minutes needs to exist. I think the bleedout timer needs to be reduced to 2 minutes and we need an anti 4 man slug mechanic. Giving a shorter bleedout makes downs actually worth a damn in adding Killer pressure while also not being too long if someone does become slugged, and having an anti-4slug mechanic allows for comebacks if bad actors do happen. At the least do something like AFC for people who down then hump Survivors…
2 minute timer a good idea I have a feeling the reason it was four minutes was when the game was at the very beginning of its life so not everyone knew what to do but having a two minute or 2 and half minute timer would be nice it makes it where if the killer decides to slug survivors don't wait as long or even then it punishes the killer for slugging. Base-kit unbreakable is a bandage on the problem a good bandage but still a bandage a shorter bleed out time or even then something like if the game notices you've been on the ground for way to long then you should be then a free DC prompt your swapped for a bot and you don't get a penalty because of the fact you were on the ground way longer then needed.
Yes I get there is slugging but in the way of a survivor is near a pallet so the killer is going to check around or if they find a healthy survivor chase away or hit them just in case they have a trick up their sleeve. But slugging on the ground and not bothering to pick someone up even with a hook nearby is just dumb.

Right now I'm playing Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, Minecraft, Doom and DBD. I don't find myself able to play DBD for hours at a time, unlike other games. I just find there's something weirdly personal about losing in it. Whenever I play Ghostbusters, it doesn't seem to much matter whether the ghosts or the busters win. But in DBD, it just feels like much higher stakes, and some stuff other people do I feel kind of creates that pressure. Some nights I'm just not up for it.
DBD is still something I enjoy. I still have those occasional feel good games. But some nights, like tonight, it can be frustrating to the point where I just play a few matches and leave. I think it's important to know when the "ok I've had enough" moment hits. Sometimes a person just needs a break.
But the point of dbd should be what ghost busters is. You cares if you won. I saw gameplay of it and people are either goofing around with the animations of possessed objects or taking the game not seriously but at a level of if it were like an actual movie.
DBD in its current state isn't like that being put on the ground for five minutes because a gen went by or just barely able to do anything because you did one small mistake so suddenly everyone marks you as the bad guy ruins the experience. I get the other side have no responsibility for your fun but it still does enter the zone of people will turn away if nothing is done about the problems that turn people away. BHVR does have the resources to make major improvements and I won't lie I feel like some people with me included would be fine without any new DLC or cosmetics heck for me I don't mind a break from the archives if it means focusing on major problems like matchmaking, perks, bugs and overall QOL of the game.
But the game currently to me is not what I remember back in 2018. I enjoy the game because it brought characters I never thought of into the game and it actually has had me meet new friends but now it's in a state where that enjoy is poof gone. So overall if BHVR is like 'where's all the players?' simple you need to fix the problems the game as to have people come back. Take a break from the chapters and outfits and just focus on fixing what has been sitting there.
Will I stop playing DBD? no but I have found other horror games I enjoy a little more then dbd in its current state just due to the dullness of facing the same perks, being slugged or tunneled or even just dealing with matchmaking. A game with matchmaking won't be perfect but a game that as a system to improve matchmaking can happen not just kills or escapes but overall performance in the game it might be hard to make but it's possible.
