That happens to me as well. That maybe a connection issue with the Killer or urself
It's hit validation aka the server having the register both screens at once and determine who has priority aka most of times not. Example me swinging before someone drops the pallet but uh oh they pressed it a millisecond before me so they phase through me and I get stunned instead of hitting them. Basically think of it like this hit validation will work against you ten fold.

Pretty good though the axe is going to get some use to this I'm extremely use to how you throw hatchets as huntress with a button press and release. His teleport is cool and interesting that survivors can use it also but can be punished in terms of you have to use it before he does. Only problem I has so far is I noticed when playing him though it might be just a server thing is the axe retrieve from survivors for the quick pick up is a little favorable so you can grab a survivor even though they have not a super long distance but a little distance between you but over might just be a server thing and I do really like his power.

Thats because you get gifted auric cells in the ptb to spend on cosmetics and characters so that you can test the stuff, but they obviously don't want to give you free stuff so it just doesn't transfer to the main game.
Oh okay while it sucks I guess it makes sense

I just not bicker but more say "Okay? Your point is? We got an 8k and played fair so not really trash." By the end I just say "If you wanna win any argument here's a great tip" and just never reply since it shows your moving on and not bothering to continue the argument that was pointless from the start you can call it a self win but I also see it as proving a point just stop bothering to argue there's no point to it.

I like 2v8 but this iteration feels much less forgiving, with Legion capitalising on randoms to Oni always being in power and with no herbs etc to allow people to bounce back or anti camp for that matter.
I love this mode but the focus needs to stay on how casual friendly it is, and Legion cannot exist as they are for that reason.Your not wrong with the fact survivor you can expect Legion or Oni because they basically are OP together. It's one of those things where maybe they should swap killers out I know you can't just start looking through all of them and say okay we need to replace this character with this but wait then their OP with this character. But it also makes it where you can try new combinations or overall just not make it to the point where your basically going to have every killer available to use though Unknown and Dredge would be cool.
-
It's because I use 2v8 to try grinding the achievements but jebus is this one just not wanting to at least give me one.

@TheMidnightRidr said:
Don’t play the mode, then. Crisis averted.
Then so what everyone is playing this mode so I would have to wait way longer in normal queues.

I'm sorry you struggle with this Killer or that you normally play at a super high level and apparently only get super strong SWFs he truly can't handle, friend. Most people I know have not had this issue. Hell I've kept up with hooks when paired both with Wesker and Blight as him, so it can't be that he's unable to keep up…
I think it just has to do with a lot of SWF and survivors huddled together since in 1v4 you have everyone splitting up while in 2v8 people stay close together since gens can go flying.
-
Facing Oni and legion is "fun" when you realize your better off just not healing at all since legion can rush around getting more injures for Oni's power so healing is just a waste of time. I feel like they could have disabled Legion or just swapped some killers out. Swap Legion for Oni or Blight for Nurse basically swapping them around since I feel like in the next few iterations of 2v8 we'll just have all the killer's available to play so Plague and Oni for infinite injure, Singularity and Skull Merchant for far away gen camping, Clown and Dredge for dark gas aka having to now maneuver night fall and dodge bottles without seeing where their coming from.

The devs released their stats during the last 2v8 that showed queues were longer when they included the bots. They were longer by about 2 minutes. The bots just drove real players away.
There has to be a way to make killer in 2v8 bearable for queue time since I don't think people really like waiting 30 minutes for a single match. Like if it because "Hey a lot of people are playing this killer" having it where it points a shorter queue time with this killer so if people are playing Oni a lot and not let's say Wesker maybe a small icon that shows a short queue time because hey not many people searching for a lobby with this character selected.
-
@Hex_Ignored said:
That will just push real survivors away from the mode. We saw that in re 2v8. Even with 2 bots queues weren't significantly better, because the time saved by introducing bots is nullified by the even smaller survivor pool.
So there's just no winning...is there

Click on DBD → click on the little gear icon on the right → properties → Beta tab
Oh okay thanks also do you have the character for free let's sat I wanna play Springtrap I can play him on the open PTB for free but will have to pay for him once he makes it to live?

@LockerLurk said:
Frankly OP, I think Singularity may just not be for you, and that's OK. Not everyone likes every Killer. I don't enjoy playing Wesker, I find him too slippery to use effectively on Controller for my liking.
Yeah I mean I don't like Nurse due to her hit detection being very iffy but Singularity just feels dull since if you face him it's just nothing but seeing pods at gens which makes sense but he has a lot of potential.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
We're complaining about killers using their power efficiently now?
More complaining how basically it's just the same thing over and over again which can be a little boring since you just expect it at that point not every Singularity does but deal with it enough you just expect it like survivors bringing flashlights they may be a bully squad or just some guy trying to do a challenge or mostly for pallet blinds.
I mean take for example a Hillbilly match where he basically is right up against you and downs you with his chainsaw and repeat that a couple more times and maybe a few matches and then the next match you get a Hillbilly who isn't doing that but part of you still expects it since so many others did it before.

if I am missing something ok. But there is no way you can add old challenges to this or work ahead. It’s kind of a let down you can complete most in a day. I used to go and do old challenges and now you can’t. You can add them but they don’t complete.
Yeah it does suck like it's cool that you can complete multiple but why not have it where you complete multiple of the new and old ones at the same times?
-
Okay so I'll just leave my two sense here.
- So if it's a bad thing I have to rely on a perk that prevents me from being blinded since fun fact back then your screen would turn completely white and that hurt the eyes. But if I'm being called a baby or having to rely on a "crutch" perk then why isn't it seen as a crutch to use a flashlight to save a teammate. You can tell me that I just need to look around before picking up, look at a wall or bring perks that tell you if someone is nearby. Well then here's the counter to it instead of bringing a flashlight why not do this. Take protection hits unless your already injured, while boring do gens your teammate is keep the killer away so doing the objective is a good idea, be resourceful if the killer has lightborn then best bet is just grab a new item toolboxes and medkits are good even at brown rarity while weak they still give you a little boost plus now the killer as a wasted perk slot just because you brought a purple flashlight and two add-ons it doesn't change much your add-ons are gone regardless but if you really want to keep your flashlight then hold onto it or put it somewhere you can remember.
2. I'll repeat lightborn is a waste of a perk slot once you remove flashlights. Overall it's not a powerful perk it removes a mechanic but just remove the mechanic yourself and done the killer only has three perks to work with. You have pallets and windows to your advantage and looping is a big thing constantly clicking your flashlight is just telling the killer to pay attention to you but they'll ignore it since they know your going to loop being unpredictable helps looping other tiles helps or even faking pallet drops. Once you remove the flashlight from the picture you have other resources to use. I'll say this to those who hate lightborn it's like NOED to me. Yes I still dislike NOED but I'm not pulling out my hair and getting fussy since I know it's a perk and all perks have a counter. NOED is doing totems either during or at the end and well lightborn just don't bring a flashlight.
-
@Caiman said:
Survivors will always be upset about Lightborn. It's a perk that eliminates something really annoying and it will always be valuable for that alone.
Plus I'll say this in a survivor perspective I hate people who bring flashlights since they'll follow you around till you go down just to blind the killer instead of taking a protection hit or just doing a gen I get you want the flashlight save but just do it when the killer is near you instead of follow them.

Dbd core should do what dbdm did and make Bot difficulties. Essentially their pathing would increase in strength. Also killer bots existed for all characters in dbdm, but not all killers would use their powers as intended. Nurse would insta blink and walk pretty much the whole time, twins would break completely when unbinding Victor)
But having bot difficulty could be useful like if you wanna learn how use works a custom match can help but bots can still understand how to counter you so your screwed. So having a difficulty dial can help even a dial per bot so a Steve could be at level 2 while a Bill is at 5 so you get of everything.

Oh I already voiced how I think this event is boring asf. Last years event with orbs was much more fun/better.
The hooks give you massive points on killer.
For survivor: only completing a generator, the normal ones, like you have to be there, gives you any points.
Gathering blood and blood gens give you barely anything.You know what...I stand corrected. Played killer to get a second point of view...yeah killer sucks for this event. I get they can't make a power for killers that would be over powered but yeah the blood orbs last year were better like cool you get to fill Jerry cans and do something not gen related but for killer you get nothing heck maybe something related to blood bumps like a interaction makes you gain tier 1 blood lust for a short duration or it gives you a boost on damaging gens and breaking pallets. While having killers tunnel and camp isn't fun playing killer isn't fun either with no special gimmick.
-
@ChuckingWong said:
You get like no points on survivor but all the points on killer.
But the only side that actually has any mechanics (the gas cans) gives you dog water points.
I dont get itI don't know if you mean terrible points or points are just handed to you. Since saying dog water points means terrible. But I mean what would do to give killers a ability in the event.
-
I mean it's a new killer so no one is gonna know right away oh you just do this even if you watch videos. I learned facing ghoul to have a bit of unpredictability and not stick to loops instead using multiple loops and walls to prevent those hits. But the only nerf I would see as good is just hit boxes on his power since that can be a little wonky.
-
I would say...closest to a nerf is just adjusting the hit box since there are times where you get hits that just don't seem to make sense. I like playing him since it's cool to travel through the map easily. But yeah overall it's just hit boxes being a little wonky but overall his power doesn't insta-down so not Nurse levels of power but I can see him maybe getting a small nerf or adjustment but I mean he's a day old so give it some time I learned if he does his leap try sticking close to walls or small rocks(not height) to have a chance of not giving the extra attack.
-
I won't lie having something like a combination of matchmaking can help with testing out the killer while Custom matches exist their mostly limited to what the bots are programmed to do. So while your there just learning the killer your facing people who got to do the PTB and basically know how the killer acts
-
Okay killer wise it can be annoying if I realize oh your going to shack...cool. most time I just never go to shack if a survivor is running there since I know what to expect but overall survivor wise I don't loop a bunch of times in the same area since I know it'll screw me over so I usually vault maybe once or twice and then run to the next one since while useful I also just find it boring being in the same area i would rather just run to another location I also don't loop shack that often maybe a vault but usually away from it because as stated it gets boring going to the same loop.

Kindred is supposed to be an anti-camping perk, and if a killer is leaving the hook immediately to find another survivor, then they aren't camping.

What's the chapter about?
it's an idea I had for a good while around when Alien and Singularity were out. The idea was the killer was a alien of high intelligence and comes from a planet with a extremely harsh environment an example is the climate is livable for about an hour per month. The alien named the Ravanger kinda just owns the planet as it had adapted to all the planet threw at it. A shipping crew shows up to try collecting stuff for a client when the Ravanger boards the ship and begins to pick the crew off with the final survivor being the ships android who decides to make the ship crash course into a black hole. Someone suggested that the android should be kinda like Taurie in terms of being selfish I liked it and thought selfish in the way of they are more focused on mission rather then the lives of others unless someone happens that could harm the company their programed to order is in danger. Sorry for the word soup a lot to explain.
Also the power was similar to the ghouls with wall jumping but instead of launching off a wall you could wall crawl and then jump off set wall sorta like Blight mixed with I would Victor where you launch forward like Victor if you hit a wall you latch onto it and have a bit of time to position yourself to do another jump similar to Blight or Wesker's power.
-
@Rulebreaker said:
Could be a long hallway of the ship filled with fog. Could say "escape pods" overhead for cruel kicks.
Not bad I know I did think an area of the map the escape pod bay with one saying in use(or basically stating someone is inside). When the generator is active the pod begins a count down before a faint explosion is heard and smoke comes from it so even the person(if there is one) inside is not in the trials like the survivors but instead left in a state of being killed and revived by the Entity.
-
So is your post about why you can't send messages to other players on console or about the tutorial?
In the simple terms if your going by the title the player can have the option to prevent messages coming to them it prevents them from dealing with toxic players you sorta just have to accept that your opinion to them doesn't matter plus I mean most people who message you in dbd are either saying gg or being toxic so better prevent either by blocking messages
-
Fun? FUN. Let me tell you how much I've come to have fun since I began to play. There are 387.44 million hours of play time in wafer thin layers that fill my console. If the word 'fun' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of hours it would not equal one one-billionth of the fun I have not had since 2020 at this micro-instant. Fun. FUUUUUUUUUUUN.
In short terms SoloQ to me has not been fun for a while. Get screwed over by teammates, you try to have fun by going in a circle thinking maybe the killer will join but nope get downed but the next game you die first and suddenly the killer is doing it. With matchmaking and bunch of other stuff yeah no SoloQ has not been really "fun" even if I try to make it fun for myself because all of sudden bad guy because I was wanting to have fun in a game.
-
@ChuckingWong said:
They should make 2v8 permanent.
Only way to enjoy any semblance of soloQI'll give you a point for that I'm not a major fan of 2v8 because after a while it gets a little stale mostly just lack of maps or variety of perks plus also match making time isn't that good.

They need something to entertain the community in between new content. That’s what events and modifiers are for.
I know but it's just the repeat modifiers I get their hard to make but I mean even joke modifiers like my little Oni where it's just being there for goofing around rather then the same ones all the time. You know what...ANOTHER BREAK until the event or the chapter is released because so far i'm not having fun because fun fact even hit validation is not on my side with this game.
-
@OneGoodBoyDemo said:
I can't blame the killers for tunneling/camping/slugging in chaos shuffle. they simply have no other choice.
They do...adapt to the perks they get. It's not like survivors have a choice of perks it's also random. The point of Choas shuffle is to adapt the perks you get. Lights out is to see how you do with low visibility and awareness. 2v8 deals with working with others.
The modifiers are both a game mode and just a way of testing you as a player.
-
I can see how people have to rely souly on the meta that they need to tunnel or slug. I've learned that choas shuffle is supposed to make you learn to adapt to perks and no not all of them are terrible. I had power struggle and learned okay gotta make use of it some how. Small game extremely good even if no hex totems are up because you never know. But seeing killers do nothing but tunnel and slug has just shown how players have to rely heavily on the meta. Yes I've struggled at times since I'm used to having Self-care and Botany but learned to adapt to it try getting a med-kit or learn to be a little more stealthy.

Does this answer your question?
You know when I saw he was the killer I said to myself "I thought he was the good guy?" I haven't read far in the manga but then it kinda enter the thought of the entity manipulates killer's minds so maybe the entity is making him view the survivors as a threat? It's still cool because ghouls are also have a strong endurance where some weapons just don't do much to them so if he were a survivor someone like Hag basically wouldn't be doing much to him let alone a meat hook so it is cool that they chose to change it up.
-
Actually haven't faced the meta not like in weeks but I don't see it as often saw some people bring pop but that was it mixed with Dead lock or a hex perk. So most likely the meta is still there but some players are trying new things since I mean once survivors know the meta they'll just not touch a gen when someone is being carried as no notification is made.
-
Last time I got it was the Christmas event. I always get Lodge instead. I get there's a lot of maps but I could get both sides of RPD in the same day. Ormond mines is a cool map but I mean even when people brought the offering still was Lodge so no idea if it's a bug or just dbd not wanting you to play the map

I agree with the Skilled Huntress. It's pretty crazy considering it's not unfair to say it's harder to get hits with a pad.
The other trophy/achievement I'd change is the 3 blink and grab with Nurse. I did it once on xbox and I'm not going to do it again
I remember getting the 3 blink grab with Nurse one night I was happy and looking to see if anyone saw it without realizing oh its 1 am so no one would. That and where did they go I nearly fainted getting it.

@SoGo said:
I had a reverse situation yesterday.
Played as the Deathslinger on RPD, and got beaten pretty hard.
Last gen pops, I down a Bill and hook him next to the outside stairwell. Camp him because well, it's endgame and everyone is still alive, so what else can I do. Jill (who I guess got kicked out or smt, I saw her bugged) leaves instantly. Feng comes for unhook, trades, and I manage to hook her and down Bill. Ace (the last survivor) is lingering around trying to save.
Eventually Feng gets sacrificed (she was on second stage), and I down Ace right in front of exit gates as the timer runs out. Both he and Bill die.
They flame me in the endgame chat even though they could have left at any time.
Ah yes the simple thing of just leave. I get they wanted a 4k escape but I mean they still win if they get more escapes then kills aka 3 escapes but that's what I picture as a win.

You didn't understand what I was telling you.
When you set your FOV to 92 you can see 40m on generator auras. When you look at them closely you can see them change. At the spot where they change it's 40m, always.
The hell is 40 meters setting my fov just makes me see more of stuff not making it further away. So I'll ask again what is 40 meters in dbd terms. As in actual games generators are always revealed.
