Not a huge fan of the exhaustion part, what the devs should do is make it so that crouching / standing still / being in a locker (with or without head on) should increase the rate that you recover from exhaustion (not by much obviously but by a noticeable amount).

New, the old ones looked like straw and would glitch out and fly across the map. They could even reveal your position when hiding

You do not need Plunderers to get the highest rarity of items. It is all rng based but luck as a stat in the game haas nothing to do with it.
Yeah, I know, I have been playing this game for 2 years. It's just odd that in 7 matches with Plunderer's I only found green items and then as soon as I take it off, I get an ultra rare.
-
I mean, I was running a Plunderer's build today, rarest item I found was a green map. Took the build off after a while and first match without it, I found a rainbow map.

Why would they bring solo up to SWF? SWF breaks the game so you want solos running around getting 3-4 man escapes every round? What they should do is nerf SWF and give solo's a buff or incentive to play alone rather than to group up.
As I stated above, bringing solo survivors up to the level of SWF groups would allow the devs to buff killers accordingly. The reason that they are so hesitant to make killers strong against SWF is because solo survivors would have no chance of escape. Buffing solo players means that SWF don't have a big advantage over solos, meaning that killers could be made more powerful without ruining the game for solo players.

Well, everyone who was here in 2016 does know the devs said they 'never want anyone to feel absolutely safe, there should be no place on the map where that is actually the case'.
A few weeks later, they buffed pallets to make them exactly that and pallet-looping was born.
There's also the time killers lost auras for hooks with survivors on them. They just no longer appeared, so we could no longer see where we had hooked someone if we left. The devs said it was a bug they were working on fixing, until a few months later when they said it was a deliberate change they had no plans on reversing. One day the patch-notes said they had fixed the 'bug' with hook-auras. We never found out which version of these two conflicting narratives about it was true.
I can go on, but I'm still waiting to hear where the devs have expressed any clear indication at all that they are taking planning on closing the gap between solo and SWF, or if this is just yet another vague remark they may have said and then never answered any questions about or given details. It's almost as if they do this just to placate people and have no real plans beyond shovelling DLC.

Don't worry, if you're playing survivor just run to the other side of your yard, you'll be able to wiggle off before they get to the hook.

Senzu, been a big fan of you ever since I joined the forums but the way you spelled "banned" gave me an aneurysm. I'm currently on my kitchen floor shaking and foaming at the mouth.
-
They're quite clearly planning on it, despite what many people might think just saying "buff this killer" isn't going to make the devs wake up one morning and get a balanced buff/rework done in a day. Right now they are working on Nurse and they will then turn their attention to the weaker killers in game such as Bubba or Trapper but right now, they're busy.

It's fine, I'm not really bothered, just thought it was funny. OP made a thread about survivors "cracking him up" and I said I thought he was done with this game.

Any statement regarding 'what the devs want' or 'what the devs say' needs to be weighed against the facts of 'what the devs have actually done', because that is the only indicator we have of their future behaviour.
If the devs really wanted what you say(and what makes you think that it is true?), there's a whole load of things which have happened that don't make sense if it's true.
An example of that being?

This would be more believable if killers were not getting opaque re-designs where people are left guessing the purpose and all consensus is being formed purely on novelty-factor alone. That is where we are with new-Freddy right now; a character seemingly re-designed for no reason other than to get rid of old-Freddy because survivors weren't having enough fun with him.
It would be more believable if the devs didn't buy into the nonsense spouted by some streamers that survivors are balanced because 'not everyone plays optimally', but killers are nerfed on that basis whilst also being measured in terms of high-rank performance when it suits them. The double-standard has to be binned by the devs, vocally.
Could you please explain how that had anything to do with what I said?
-
Do people not realise that the devs want to buff solo survivors in order to buff killers? They are making solo players as strong as SWF so that they can balance killers around SWF groups.
-
Best things to do:
Run iron will (good against all killers, EXTREMELY good against Spirit).
Move sporadically, unpredictable movements will make it very difficult for the killer to figure out what you are trying to do.
If they are phasing at a jungle gym, I cannot stress this enough, USE LOCKERS, nobody ever expects a play like this as people rarely hide in lockers and will cause the killer to think that they simply lost your scratch marks.
Perks which hide scratch marks are also great, Dance With Me and Lightweight make tracking extremely difficult. You can even run one way, stop and walk the other way, giving the killer false information.
-
I'd probably say it was a lightweight fabric due to its ability to flow. However it's texture suggests otherwise unless the fabric is worn down in some way.

Run kindred and boom there ya go information for everyone
The thing about that is, a solo survivor has to use a perk slot to get info that would be free for SWF, therefore not closing the gap.

The fact that your strategy is correct doesn't make the map design any more right.
These structures need to be changed by at least adding a door to remove the strong loop
I completely agree, I never said that I think they were designed well but the OP should realise that although they are currently very strong for survivors, there are things they can do right now that will save them time.

“Only 3 window vaults” Are you joking? You know how much time is lost after only three vaults in that stupid building? And no, mindgaming isn’t a thing in large buildings against good survivors. In fact trying to could just extend the loop.
If buildings like this bug you THAT much there are 2 options:
• Bamboozle, an amazing killer perk which when used correctly can force survivors to either leave a strong loop or shorten that loop in the future
• Leave the loop, an important part of this game is knowing when to stick to a chase, if you think a survivor knows how to waste your time at a specific loop, you have the option to not commit to the chase.
I personally main Pig and Spirit (when I play Spirit loops obviously aren't a huge deal) but when I play Pig, loops such as Ironworks, Coal Tower, etc. are places where I know I will have my time wasted and will actively go out of my way to avoid them while in chase.
-
It doesn't take that long to catch up, they can only vault the window 3 times in a chase and even then, mindgaming on large buildings isn't that difficult to do.
-
Not happy >:( imagine stealing MY Claudette outfit and not giving credit to me, someone who you probably have never seen in game before. (Ngl tho I recognise your username, feel like we've played together at some point)

On PS4 almost NO ONE uses it, dont know in other platforms.
EVERYONE uses pop goes the weasel on PS4

I love the idea but I really don't think a solo survivor should have to use a perk slot to get info that SWF get for nothing.

True, I've been very serious as of late, but if you don't laugh at how stupid some things are, then what can you do? XD
I mean, survivors want to try to ban you if you don't leave the hook immediately. Killers tend to be more lax. : )
Arguable for some cases but I see where you're coming from, it's not rare to see a killer that will meme mid chase, give hatch, etc.

I'm pretty sure this is a joke. Survivors tend to be serious but killers... have a sense of humor. It's funny. : )
You're crazy if you think more killers have a sense of humour than survivors. The only people that seem to have a sense of humour in this forum are the people that acknowledge the problems in both killer and survivor gameplay. A lot of the people in this thread only see one or the other (proven by their countless discussions about every little thing the opposite side has that annoys them)
-
@Horus said:
Yes they should punish all dc and they should also punish survivors who suicide on first hook
Why? I get that it leaves their teammates in a bad position but it still gives the killer points and they lose a pip. I sometimes do it if I really don't want to play against a specific killer / build but it is in no way as scummy as DCing. It's basically the equivalent of having a surrender button.
-
I actually want the uncommon and common map offerings brought back. You could burn one of them and still have the chance to end up at a different map.

Ik it hasn't been released yet but I'm hyped for Nea's upcoming outfit, mainly because the head looks like me. I'm a guy but...it'll be fun to have a digital, female me to play as.

Except that the more pallets on not reworked badham are safe pallets no mindgame at all
I'm pretty sure they only changed the distance on Badham.
-
Because exhaustion perks can only be used once in a chase and *most of the time* only extend the chase by a few seconds. Also, clown's solvent jug takes no skill to apply the effect as the bottles cover a moderately large area.
