Singu is almost objectively the best macro gameplay killer that game has ever seen, on top of that, his micro gameplay certainly isn't shabby. Adding a cap to how many EMPs can be printed during the course of a match would do nothing but create another instance of OG SM where survivors are practically incapable of repairing generators.

Add-ons are exempt from diminishing returns

The fun bit for survivors is pallet stunning 2 killers at the same time. I pulled one of those the other day against a chucky and wraith team.
Was riding high on that one for a while.
I'd say the novelty kind of dies off after the first time you do this
-
I mean, what is fun about it from the survivor side? The main fun that this game provides is the interaction of chase, and feeling as though what you do in chase matters. 2 killers chasing you takes ALL player agency away from the survivor and essentially turns them into a sitting duck. I'm not going to make the claim that 2v8 is unbalanced or anything, because the game mode is seemingly balanced around the possibility of both killers ganging up on one survivor, but it most definitely isn't fun.
-
You've got a special surprise coming up in the next patch
-
I mean, what else is there for survivors to do? If you're not getting chased you're doing gens or getting saves. I'm all for ALL players doing things to try and make the game more fun for their opponents but survivors have almost nothing to do outside of gens or chase.
The best I could suggest is grouping up on gens to lower efficiency? But that's still no more interesting than doing them as efficiently as possible.
-
I'm all for having 4 zombies in 2v8, I truly don't understand why they've been made omniscient though, I've seen them lock onto me from 20+ metres away without even having LoS on me, it's ridiculous
-
It seems a lot of people apparently think hitting great skill checks consistently is a difficult thing to do

No offense but I hate this logic.
Perks do not need to be like invocations or crappy Hex Perks that require wasting a lot of time to get a small benefit, the game is not currently balanced or designed around this.Don't see the part in my post where I said invocations were good or well-designed. When I say "risk" I mean things like Dramaturgy's chance to get exposed, or the risk of being grabbed from a locker while charging Head On.
-
At the very least, you should have the option to randomise your build in normal queues without having to use a third-party build generator
-
Now I'm really not one to advocate for survivor perk nerfs, but SB and Lithe are some of the most obnoxiously, mind-numbingly easy perks to get MASSIVE value from, and would be happy to see a sharp drop in their pick rates. All other exhaustion perks however, I have no qualms about, they usually require some sort of risk or setup to get value out of, something that I wish was relevant to more perks for both sides.

I've not seen too much camping or tunnelling, I have however seen just how incompetent a lot of my solo teammates are when they don't have the meta to rely on
First match after posting this was a P100 Blight hard tunnelling on Toba as soon as the match started, so nevermind

In certain cases it's a positive, haste stacking was obnoxious for both roles, but in most cases it just feels unnecessary

It could work if the themes weren't mostly unappealing. remember the stained glass window dresses from last year??
I think that they were a lot worse than this rift, with the exception of Yun-Jin's
-
IMO they need to stop trying to make all the cosmetics related to a single aesthetic, they only started doing it a short while ago and the rifts since this change have all felt underwhelming. Not to mention the fact that a vast array of characters, all with their own distinct personalities, all receiving very similar outfits diminishes their uniqueness quite a bit.
-
Guys please just laugh at the stupid map generation until it gets fixed, I don't intend for this post to fuel an us vs them narrative.
The only balance-related take that I have about this topic is the fact that this tile, when working as intended, is nearly as bad as those autohaven tiles that got deleted like two updates after their introduction (which I'm hoping happens to these ones too). A window that's only half decent when looped in one direction, and a ridiculously unsafe pallet shouldn't be taking the place of something like an actual jungle gym or TL wall.

If this show leads to Linda Cardellini being added to dbd I'll go insane

You have to do it from main menu, not character selection

If killers can lobby shop, I don't see why survivors can't.
If anything, its more important to vet your teammates.Or they could turn crossplay off and stop wasting my, and many other people's time

Baked camembert due to the fact that it's actually interesting and has some form of counterplay. Stuffed trotters is uninspired and creamy pasta not working against special attacks makes it practically useless against most killers. That being said, Creamy Pasta's global event is absolutely ridiculously broken, don't understand why BHVR thought that all pallets on the map being unbreakable would ever be a good idea.

I am not responsible for your fun, and I'm going to play however I want, and if you have a problem with it, I'm intentionally going to lean into it because it makes you mad.
Attitudes like this are why the dbd community is disliked, going out of your way to try and upset people is a very strange and rather concerning inclination to have.
-
Yeah, as cool of a mechanic it is, it has definitely disincentivised some sense of community and interaction among the player base which is a shame
-
This is what I was thinking, most of the issues for killers in this event stem from the effects triggered by setting a table, if the event's effects were only those caused by morsels and desserts, it would feel a lot better for killer
-
I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother 💔💔💔

Does crouching stop the scream? Cuz it seems if he's close enough you still scream but other times you don't it's weird.
You have to be stationary while crouching, crouch walking doesn't prevent the scream
-
IMO the main issue that needs to be looked at are his 2v1 capabilities, being able to slug the penultimate survivor and then go omnipresent indefinitely is stupid
-
He's in a weird spot where his offense is very strong to the point that playing against it doesn't feel very good a lot of the time, but at the same time, hardcore stealth from survivors pretty much makes playing him one of the most miserable killer experiences ever. I'm happy to have Jason in the game finally, but his power seems to be creating some pretty miserable experiences for both sides.

well yes he acted racist but its highly debatable if he was a racist or simply emulated the racist behavior of father cause not doing so would have earned him even more physical abuse.
originally billy was supposed to be way more racist then what we got to see but Dacre being the gem of an actor he is worked so much on the character cause he really only playes characters he finds interesting and likes. and he absolutly refused to say the n word.
but billy being racist to whatever extend is not or better should not be of relevance if we look at the characters we already have.
we have bubba who is a canibal that tortured people and atleast in one movie he was a #########. we have freddy and its reboot freddy which means he have certified pdf in the game. we have wesker who is all kinds of fckt up including toture, enslavment and medical experiments. we have springtrap who is specifically a child killer and he likes it.
and thats just licensed killers. we have a bunch of unlicesed ones for this list too and while the survivor side naturally looks better we have tauri "ritual murder is my hobby" cain.
i would say a racist isnt that much of a problem.
The original script for season 2 had Billy saying racial slurs, I'm pretty sure that more than implies that he was written to be racist. Don't think it matters that he was influenced by his father.
-
(edited post because I misread the title)
Singularity all day every day, removing slipstream requires a much bigger time investment than it takes to apply it, and efficient use of EMPs is something that can really only be achieved by SWF
-
As sexy as I find Dacre Montgomery with a mullet and moustache, I'm pretty sure the duffer brothers themselves explicitly confirmed that Billy was a racist. It would probably be best for BHVR to avoid incorporating him into the game.
-
Yes let's make the pool of viable and interesting survivor perks even smaller
-
PWYF is one of THE most unhealthy perks dbd has ever seen and is seemingly balanced around killers that do not play for guaranteed hits.
The only real way for survivors to actively combat this perk is for the obsession to either hardcore stealth or literally just let the killer down them if they get found.

spirit is countered by having good headphones/good ears. If you don’t have those you can always look at grass.
What you really gotta worry about is using those things to your advantage in time to formulate a counter, whether that be camping the right side of a pallet or doubling back on a window/walking away.
The unfortunate thing is the counterplay kinda falls apart if she’s using mother daughter ring, because she’s simply too fast to hear where she’s going then counter in time, and the spirit can always just stay in power until you mess up. So against a good spirit it can feel a lot like gambling.
Another thing you can do is profile what she does in your first chases or if have teammates on comms ask how she plays, is she fake heavy? Do she do the same play over and over again when at an unsafe pallet? Ask yourself these questions and mix up your own gameplay to throw her off and make her play in an uncomfortable way. Anything to but yourself that extra second or two goes a long way her power recovery stacks up over a long match; giving your teammates time on gens.
As far as I'm aware, Spirit hasn't disturbed grass while phasing for years
-
Still not his biggest fan, but he is infinitely more manageable now than he was on release, I'd say most of my frustrations surrounding him come from how well his power combines with certain chase perks.
-
What the hell, sure

Prettymuch has the same potential to mori on 2nd hook as myers and pyramid head. I don't see why he would be the only one nerfed for it.
Although the comparison is fair, survivors can (and should) purposefully avoid trails, Jason has full control over whether or not he impales the survivor
-
Generally the only thing that bothers me as killer is Lithe, most windows already provide quite a lot of distance without haste being involved. On the survivor side however, I have more of an issue with add-ons rather than perks. There are a select few killers that have add-ons that change their power to either be ridiculously mind-numbingly uninteractive or actively punish survivors for playing against said killer correctly.

Opressive is not the word i would use. There are many killers with far better anti-loop, Xeno can just put you in lose lose situations more often at close range.
Even if turrets were removed, I am not sure he would end up as an A tier. So no, turrets should just be buying you time in chase, not kicking the killer out of power with no way for the killer to actually do something about it.
Entertaining the idea of removing turrets, do you actually think that standardising survivor gameplay by removing one of the few instances of killer-specific interactions would be a positive for the game?
From what I understand, the general consensus surrounding Xeno is that his chase is already rather uninteractive due to the fact that the constant threat of his tail whip leads to having to predict when he's going to use it, rather than reacting to instances of it being used. Incorrect or premature guesses lead to the loss of significant distance in chase when looping. This alone obviously isn't necessarily cause for changes to his power, there will always be certain killers with aspects to their power that aren't looked upon fondly by those playing against them, but turrets are the only thing that survivors have to directly combat this issue.

I think you missed the point. I could care less about your opinion if you think I am good faith or not. I have been playing since '17 with 7.5-8k hours. I am tired and fed up with the biased nonsense.
I've since 17 as well mate, but that has nothing to do with the ability to see WHY certain parts of this game are designed a certain way.
If you made 2v8 hard for survivors, they simply wouldn't play it, why would they play a game mode that's hard, boring, and leaves no room for skill expression? I doubt even a 10x BP modifier could fix that
-
I mean, I get the feeling your argument isn't in good faith but the main reason for the queue time disparity is
A) The novelty of playing killer with someone else, especially friends is one that doesn't seem to die
B) Survivor gameplay has next to no novelty outside of being chased by two killers, which simultaneously makes any sort of skill on the survivor side redundant because you're just guaranteed to get two-tapped in that scenario

I'd rather not encourage Coulrophobia slugging Doc even more

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that the Trapper is a good killer by any means, he is absolutely one of the weakest in the game, but the criticism of survivors having "no consequence" for disarming traps is a bit silly. Survivors should not be punished for playing against a killer power correctly, it's on par with saying that survivors should be punished for burning a Xeno out of crawler mode, or for kicking Victor.
I also don't think the purchasing of skins is what BHVR look at when assessing whether or not a killer should be buffed, it's more likely to be the selection and kill rates of the character.

Whoops meant Zarina, someone on Twitter said it would be better on Taurie which I also disagree with, I apologise for the confusion
-
I mean they also gave the Plague Doctor skin to Zarina so I'm not sure they're really going for thematic consistency unfortunately
-
I wouldn't describe him as OP but I cannot stand the fact that he can just constantly zone by faking both his Pounce and Hellfire attacks
-
I can't agree, I absolutely believe that Trickster needs buffed, but making him default movement speed just makes his power seem optional, you should have to use your power as killer, especially those with ranged attacks.
If you are struggling to catch a survivor with your power, that should be seen as area for improvement rather than just having the option to walk them down.
The most I'd want to see in terms of buffing his movement speed is make him 4.6 when he doesn't have any knives left, or at least <6 knives. One of his biggest issues is that reloading is a guaranteed chase loss, this would mean he isn't forced into being a 110 M1 killer if he runs out of knives mid chase.
