The most standard leatherface build
Anyways, the best I can suggest to do with LeatherFace, is to start focusing on builds that can assist you as a M1 Killer... Yes, you have a chainsaw but its more akin to a glorified M1 if anything else...
Try something like this, Ruin, BBQ and Chili, Enduring, and Spirit Fury. This build is pretty standard for LeatherFace and works best on him... Enduring is if you get pallet hit while in a chainsaw frenzy, and spirit fury is to capitalize on Survivors that're injured but harder to catch...
Once the pallet hits you and Spirit Fury breaks it, enduring will negate most of the stun and give you an easy down on the Survivor. You can also switch BBQ with Corrupt Intervention if you want more less generators to monitor at the start, but its best to stick with the build above. Or you can switch BBQ for Pop Goes the Weasel if you want generators to regress more.
If you don't have the DLC for those perks, but you have other DLC like just Plagues and Spirits but not Hags, you can just use Corrupt Intervention in place of Ruin. Or if you don't have any of this DLC, you can try some bare bones like Enduring, Whispers, Brutal Strength, and LeatherFaces BBQ. That's the best I can suggest for a bare-bones DLC-less build... not counting LeatherFaces DLC of course.
Add-on combos
You should only really use the following, they're the only real... good add-ons to use on him. The Chili add-ons don't work btw, I mean they technically do but the changes are so small that they don't even exist tbh.
For standard add-ons, use Scratch Marks + Primer Bulb. This will give you extra charge with Primer Bulb and negate the negative effects of Scratch Marks. While the positive effects of Scratch marks is the movement speed increase it gives when in a chainsaw Frenzy.
So when you're right on-top or fairly close to the Survivor (Healthy or not) you can charge up pretty decently and effectively down them with the increased movement speed.
If you don't want to use Primer Bulb, just use Spark Plug to negate the charge decrease from Scratch Marks all-together, but it doesn't increase the charge speed also.
The more advanced version is Tuning Guide + Beast Marks. It's the same principle except on-top of adding a bit more charge speed, it also increases the time you recover from bumping into objects, reduces the noise the chainsaw makes, and reduces the cool-down after the frenzy is over.
But it's more advanced because Beast Marks makes the Chainsaw Frenzy speed much faster than Scratch marks, so if there is nothing nearby like pallets or windows, or they're too far to get to... you can easily charge up a Frenzy and mow down anyone you were right behind.
You can also use just Scratch Marks + Beast Marks if you feel the moderately charge speed reduction isn't that much, but it's best to use the charge add-ons with the movement speed add-ons... as having both movement speed add-ons isn't really that different than just having Beast Marks + Tuning Guide, but it is better than the standard Scratch Marks + Primer bulb/Spark Plugs... but that's just a standard add-on combo so of course it's better.
tl;dr
The best standard build for Bubba is Ruin, BBQ, Enduring, and Spirit Fury. Don't use any of the other add-ons besides Scratch Marks + Primer Bulb/Spark Plug for the standard add-on combo, and Tuning Guide + Beast Marks for the advanced guide.
If you're feeling risky, you can just use both Scratch Marks + Beast Marks for an insane Chainsaw Frenzy walk speed, but moderately reduced chainsaw charge speed...
It's better to use the first two combos, rather than the latter. Because the latter is just if you're out of charge add-ons or if you feel the charge add-ons won't make a difference. It's up to you.
Thanks a lot for the advices. Was trying to use him but got demolished without Spirit Fury + Enduring, and i had no idead the "marks" addons were that useful. :)

The (very) poor framerate when playing in some maps or going against specific killers, like Doctor and Freddy, impact the gameplay aswell at some situations.
-
Every game on PS4 has this kind of "wrong rarity" trophies. Just look at the Skilled Huntress one, by far the hardest of all of the trophies from the game so far: a mere silver. lol
-
Ahh i see! Okay, thanks for the help man.

The killer experience is typically SUPER easy at rank 20, expecially if you already have some knowledge about map layouts, perks and all that from your survivor experience. This can give ppl a false idea of what its like if they dont play it often. I remember talking with someone who barely touched killer and thought Wraith and old Freddy were OP because they could be invisible. In reality, things that work against rank 20s dont work nearly as well against rank 5s.
I've heard the same thing a couple of times, Freddy was OP because he could see your aura and Wraith because of the boost he gains after uncloaking. lol
I was like "Dude, do you even play DbD at all??" Haha
-
The ones i have most fun playing with, even if i lose, are:
- Legion
- Freddy
- Clown
- Hag
-
I used to play a lot of SWF a few months back, but now i'm going more for solo since a lot of my friends stopped playing and others i kinda stopped playing with (too much whining every time lost a match). Also, some people talk too much during the match and ruin your focus.
-
With the dedicated servers coming soon i would say that now its the best time to start playing tbh. Yes, there's A LOT of content and things to learn that you wouldn't have before, but the learning curve for this game will always be a little high if you want to have a very good knowledge on it, especially if you are thinking on playing both sides.
Just jump on it and have fun mate!
-
As a Survivor that plays SWF with different people pretty much everyday i can understand the "big egos" part. A lot of people get nasty talking about the killer on comms even being carried by his good team, it really makes me roll my eyes. These people will always exist, but i still believe that a lot of players just want to have a good time playing and talking about nonsense in the party chat.
-
Saw a Bill the other day dying to EGC but not being properly sacrificed, leaving him and the killer stuck on the match for ages until one of them DC'd. The funny thing is that this Clown was bullying the Bill with EGC leaving him on the floor and throwing bottles at him until the timer ended. Karma i guess? lol

At what rank? The games I play, about 50% of killers use it
Red/Purple, and i've never seen anyone using it on Green except for rank resets.

EVERYONE uses pop goes the weasel on PS4
No, they don't. From 15 games i play, 1 has PGTW.

thanatophobia is overrated tbh, unless your plague or legion this perk does little to no slowdown and survivors can just heal each other to reduce the already low penalty
Thana is really good on Legion aswell, i use it in my build for him. (:

PGTW & Thana underrated?!?!
With how often I see killers running these perks it doesn’t seem like they’re underrated.
On PS4 almost NO ONE uses it, dont know in other platforms.
-
For Survivor: Detective's Hunch, Iron Will, Dance with Me (If combined with others).
For Killer: Pop Goes the Weasel, Thanatophobia.
-
I completed one of my 3 active challenges today and still received the stored. I'm on PS4 if this helps.

Very interesting idea, but the thing is... what if all the 5 dull totems on the trial are already placed on really obvious spots?

This is what Heroes of the Storm did and it worked wonders. The game had an issue with people refusing to play anything but the most aggressive characters (ignoring the fact that those characters require a good line of support, tank, etc to even function). By incentivising the unpicked roles with bonus exp equal to an in game exp booster the game was suddenly getting balancedish teams
Its a tottally different game but it has a similar case:
In Pro Evolution Soccer too many people would use only the strongest teams in the online divisions no matter what. You need an X number of points to be promoted to a higher division so they implemented a system that, the more people chosed a team, the less points it would give you per win if you were using said team.
The variety of teams chosed increased DRASTICALLY, because you kinda needed to pick less used teams to have more chance to be promoted.
-
I play a lot with him and for me is totally ok to deplete your Frenzy if you miss a hit. I'm not the best with aiming but even playing with the controller on my PS4 i'm able to land like 80% of my stabs while in Frenzy.
It really doesn't affect his overall performance if you are a bit more carefull with the stabs.
-
Maybe this is due to the region i am playing on, but is EXTREMELY RARE for me to get the same killer or survivor in a row. I believe this only happened to me once or twice since i started playing the game almost a year ago. lol

But hey with her low terror radius often masked by the new non-directional lullaby, you can often just sneak up on survivors now and hit them point blank before they know you are there.
"Yes the killer have this problem that makes his ability not work sometimes, but you can maybe use him to do something other killers are excellent on doing"
What? lol
-
I dont expect to hit survivors doing 360 everytime even knowing how to deal with it, but when you have your hit lined up with a survivor that is running in a straight line and this system just automatically pull your weapon to one side like a magnet, you know something is REALLY broken.
-
Its a lost cause, everyone know its not fun for one side but it seems that only some people want to adress this situation. They will often tell you that face camping is okay and its a strategy because they don't want you thinking about it as a problem, thus being more acceptable to it. Things like this will only change when the mindset of the players change aswell, you don't need to escape or 4k everymatch to have fun but most people are only interested on this cause they count that as a win, even if you face camped every survivor or got a free escape through the hatch to achieve it.
-
The idea is kinda interesting!
Would be nice to start holding the totem you want to place (HEX ones, obviously) to do it fast and avoid survivors spawning right in front of them, i just don't know how you would manage multiple HEXes on your build.

@Bithard as far as modify the game/ hacking... Yeah, that's cheating and screaming for bans. Also, you can hack a console too, but whatever, lol. As far as what you were saying before about having advantages due to hardware... While ppl DO use PCs that are weaker than the PS4, PPL ON PS4 are using keyboard and mouse and you have ppl on PC using controllers...Tossing ALL that to the side and assuming you're right... You'd be left playing against and with ppl of the same skill lvl as yourself, shorter queue times cuz the game has more ppl of your lvl in your region, and less chance you'll have a mix of teammates from yellow ranks to red on the same team. The ADVANTAGES would only be seen from the number next to your name being green/purple rather than purple/red, but the quality of the games would persist. YOU didn't get worse after all, neither did the ppl playing WITH you, you just have the ppl with advantages that you're sweating about in ranks above yours. All this being said... Is this a bad thing? Oh yeah, almost forgot. Apparently different killers are more/less popular depending on platform, so more killer variety.
I played a lot on console and NEVER saw anything looking like mouse and keyboard player, you can tell by the turning speed of who you are versing, so don't toss that "ppl use it on console so its okay". Its not because such a low percentage of the console community is using it that it makes it okay to pair with PCs mouse and keyboard (same for controllers on that platform).
Also, you say that there's people with strong rigs playing against people with "Walmart toasters". Well, there is minimum and recommended requirements of hardware for the game so you are assuming the risk of disadvantage if you are playing with a weak PC. Console doesn't have that, so why should i accept the disadvantage?

They need to just bring Were gonna live forever in line with BBQ and Chili.
As a killer if you can't manage 4 hooks you're trash. Getting 4 stacks with WGLF is not only harder it can be counter productive to the overall goal. IDK if it should have an in game advantage like BBQ does but I think getting the points should be easier. How about healing a health state also gives a stack? Cleansing even a dull totem gives a stack? That way it can be more like BBQ where if you want those points...here they are.
Agreed.
BBQ and Chilli gives the killer stacks for doing his objective, so why not work the same way for survivors? Give stacks for completing gens, this way people will not farm you on hooks for them aswell.

Derank = less skilled players = advantage. Simple as that deranking is a weak attempt to have fun and easy games.
A LOT of killers derank aswell, so doing it as a survivor may not grant you "EZ games". The point OP is making is to derank and get serious survivors, not potato killers.
-
Daily rituals are broken aswell. I had one to escape with Tapp, i did escape but the game did not registered it and the ritual was still there. I changed this ritual then and received one to heal 3 survivors, played a match and the ritual just disappeared from my list without being completed.
Seriously, this is really frustrating and i never saw the game with SO MANY of this annoying things since i started playing almost a year ago.

I kind of wish you still had to do 2 gens for it to spawn. At some point survivors played bad enough they deserve to lose hope.
^ This.
-
One of my main killers is Pig; i play Clown every now and then so not a lot to say about him; i don't play Doctor.
THE PIG:
- When approaching gens, stand up and try to grab unaware survivors from them instead of using the Dash Attack. The roar pretty much tells them you are attacking way before you start, and when you stand up you retain your stealth (no Terror Radius) for a few seconds.
- Use the Dash Attack in short loops as a mindgame. Crouch in a way that the survivor can't see you, start the dash to one direction and immediatly change to the other. Really hard to react to this in time to avoid the hit.
- (This part is really a personal opinion and the way i play, other Pig players may think different). Put the Reverse Bear Traps on survivors and just forget about them, don't keep going after the poor souls on the Jigsaw Boxes. Use them just to slow down the game a bit since a "head pop" is extremely rare and survivors can escape with the trap now if its not activated after the last gen is done.
THE CLOWN
- The only thing i can say to you about him is that he (and one of his perks: Bamboozle) is a great loop breaker. Always throws a bottle of poison on loops and take the other way around, pushing the survivor to the poison to slow him down. Use Bamboozle on strong tiles with windows like Killer Shack or Jungle Gyms.
