@indieeden7 Because that is related to Left 4 Dead, I can use L4D as an example, In L4D being the last survivor makes survival next level difficult, even when waiting for a smoker of hunter to appear from the corner to become the anger you never wanted, so with Bill sacrificing himself to a horde of Tanks and the infected, it was almost next level impossible to survive, and yet, he did, also people would run wake up to get the achievement easily while this requires the perk Left Behind to make life easier

So what? Achievements don't need to be difficult to get. It's actually possible as survivor to get at least 13 achievements in one match (not counting achievements that require something to be done x amount of times). Although Bill is from l4d, dead by daylight isn't l4d, that's similar to saying "because Laurie didn't die in the first Halloween movie, she should be harder to kill than any other survivor".

  • @YaiPa said:

Yeah, it would be fine, since escaping when egc started is really hard, yet not impossible. But due to a chain reaction, they will hardly change it because people have already obtained the achievement, a really difficult one, and it wouldnt be fair if they change it (even if i agree that is basically impossible).

    I still hope they will

  • @Hoodied said:

No, it is meant to be hard

Hard, not next to impossible. It's still pretty difficult to escape through exit gates after egc is activated.

  • What new outfit is it? If you've seen leaks of it then it most likely isn't even in game yet.

What are his trophies (besides adept)?

Take a hit for an unhooked survivor 250 times

As the last survivor, repair the last generator and escape through the exit gated

  • Nvm just got adept Bill, other trophies remain unchanged

  • I'd expect some sort of compensation, although I don't like exclusives I would think they'd be needed for something like this.

  • I mean, I was just playing a game as Spirit on Haddonfield, I closed the hatch and the one survivor that I hadn't seen all match managed to escape through a door despite the doors being right next to each other and I was patrolling them both (without wake up btw)

  • I got it once when playing with a farming Pig

Now, I don't want to sound like the, "YoUrE WRoNg, NurSe is FiNe, SToP CrYiNg" people who usually respond to posts like these, but it does concern me a little whenever I see people calling for a nerf for Killers. First off, I'm a Survivor main, I don't really play Killer at all. Additionally, I'm not a rank 5 or lower Survivor (I usually play around rank 15), so I don't know how powerful a red rank Nurse is. However, I've always found Nurse easy to counter. When in a chase and she blinks, just start running towards where she originally blinked from. It's possible (at least around my rank) to mind game her to get her to use her blink which can be used to create more distance between you and her. I've done this many times and I've usually been successful in avoiding a blink attack and getting away. In addition to her fatigue, this is a perfect form of counter play to the Nurse. As I said previously, I don't know how strong a red rank Nurse is, and I don't know if my "strategy" would work for the red ranks.

You're completely correct, this was a viable counterplay to Nurse at high ranks about a year ago. However, with the addition of the Saw chapter, they made it possible for Nurses to cancel their blinks by aiming at the floor, a technique used by practically all high rank Nurses. If they reverted this change, neither her add-ons nor her base power would have to be changed.

  • I really can't think of anything that they could be used for, I've been sat for a good 10 minutes thinking about it. Would love to see these and the old map offerings brought back though.

  • Imagine a generator desk lamp, instant buy from me.

    The changes included

Matching visuals to better fit the animation

Can no longer cancel a lunge early

Stupid little auto tracking at the end of the lunge that often causes you to hit walls when going around corners (really hate this one as it screws you out of a hit a ton)

That's called auto aim, it's been in the game for multiple years now.

don't rub nurse with both other killers you mentioned, its totally different level

in dead by daylight theres no hard to master thingy, its not hard as fighting game

it sounds like specially untalented dude or noobie you are

what your saying is only came out from potatos vs potato killer

but reality is its only hard for you and its only ok when you using it

or your opponents are just much noob as you

i already heard from lots of people nurse is easy and insanely op

but didn't heard same about billy or spirit

even with their best addons never heard of its easy or insanely op

just few people said they are op when using their best addons and mori

nurse in my hand it performs insanely op even without addons

other decent players can do same just like ohtofu showed

i only saw few rounds he played because he less skilled than me

Who was this replying to? Because you might want to tag or quote them seeing as it's extremely unclear what you're trying to say without doing that.

  • 1) Pineapple on pizza is delicious

    2) Jeff is in every way shape and form, the ideal boyfriend

    3) NOED and Adrenaline cannot be compared as both give different effects, one lasts for a matter of seconds and the other can last for eternity once activated

    4) We currently cannot decide whether or not the Nurse change is a NERF

    5) NOED shouldn't punish players who went out of their way to cleanse totems, only those who didn't bother to.

  • Trick question, she was the one that DCd

  • I'm going to have to disagree with some people, he certainly needs made a lot stronger but he also needs changed to be less annoying to play against (shock cancelling vaults, revealing downed survivors, etc.)

  • As a survivor, whenever a killer acts as though they outplayed me when they just get lucky. For example, I'll 360 a killer just to get stuck on nothing and the killer gets me with the very end of their lunge animation and then act smug about it (shaking / nodding head etc).

As killer, when multiple survivors escape and teabag at the exit gates when I played fair, without annoying perks and tried to make the game as fun as possible for everyone else.

  • @Donnyc said:

What minor tweak to her ability will give her counter play? If you remove the fact that she ignores pallets and walls what do you have left? I don't play nurse or any killer that much, just wondering.

They could make pallet stuns interrupt her blinks, making pallets more viable against Nurse while also increasing the length of chases. Unlikely but it could happen :/

There were tons of topics regarding Spirit Prayer Beads in the past month or so.

The Nurse is being pushed to center stage because of one particular topic, one particular video, one particular "challenge," and a name drop on the most recent dev stream.

Prior to this, I'm pretty sure Spirit, Prayer Beads, and Iron Will were the "hot topic."

Yes, there were complaints about 1 add-on, however there are very few complaints about Spirit herself, much like how most people are fine with Nurse at base, but additional blinks allow her to become close to unbeatable.

  • @Raccoon said:

No one ever complains about Spirit counterplay or Billy's mobility here.

    Nope!

I stated that there are nowhere near as many complaints, not that there are no complaints at all.

  • I'll never forget playing with "MyKittyPony", we were playing against a camping tunnelling clown with an ebony, they got hooked and were kind enough to kill themselves on hook to give me hatch. A while after that I realised I was playing with them again, we loaded into the game and they then DCd because it was cowshed. If you're reading this MyKittyPony, I don't forgive you for that, the Trapper we were against completely stomped us and he wouldn't have if you'd just stayed in the lobby >:(

  • I know I shouldn't be bringing up another game here but I've always considered myself to have a similar personality to a certain "rocker chick" (or rocker guy in my case) from another previously very popular asymmetrical horror game.

Objective - I'd say about a 5, I know my way round a basic circuit and have fixed appliances and a few other things before.

Survival - around 50%, I'm willing to sacrifice myself for others however will expect other to take one for the team as well, I can also usually figure out whether or not it is worth saving someone else in certain situations.

Altruism - around 4, as previously stated I can figure out when to save someone, that however doesn't mean that I actually want to take the responsibility to do so, I expect others to do it while I try to complete the objective.

Boldness - 2, I would definitely take a much more immersed approach to survival. I can however stand my ground when hiding, the reason it doesn't work all too much in dbd is because people tend to bail from hiding too early, giving away their position when the killer may not have even seen them.

Around the campfire I would certainly be reserved but would most likely warm up to a few other survivors with similar personality traits to me (my best guess would be Nea, Min, Jeff and Kate)

  • It doesn't work like that, would be fun if it did though.

  • Chris Hansen wouldn't be happy

  • Y'all ever stop to think that her base kit rework might not even change her viability in game? Just make her better on console or something?

You know someone is just flat-out bad when they complain about MoM.

I've seen it proc once when I've played killer since the nerf.

Ikr, it needed a nerf but it has no purpose anymore seeing as it's so difficult to activate and has a huge downside for the amount of work you need to do in order to proc it.

  • @FredKrueger said:

Just literally had 5 matches in a row SWF, and got my ass kicked every time. Each team practically had tool boxes, BT, MOM, Adrenaline, Insta-heals,OoO, and sprint burst. Clearly they we're using mics too So, how do you counter that I guess is my question. I'm not complaining, but I would like a seriously rational explanation on how in the hell to counter that? And [bad word] your get good and play better. I'm trying with what I've got!

Lmao complaining about the same perks again, half of which can be respected or have to be worked for. I'm going to say this again...

BT: Get the person who unhooked

SB: Just don't swing until they use it

MoM: Isn't even a problem anymore

  • @FredKrueger said:

Survivors: We hate NOED. Its a perk that only bad killers use. It's not a fair perk. Its a crutch. It's to OP.

Same survivors load out: adrenaline, sprint burst, DS, MOM, BT, purple tool boxes, spine chills, ooo, and mics, of course... Lmao

I'm sorry but how can you complain about perks like sprint burst after exhaustion nerf, DS after rework, BT after rework, MoM after it was nerfed to the ground, and SC which just tells the survivor that you're coming towards them?

  • Mainly because it rewards killer without an actual COUNTER, I agree that you should just cleanse totems and there's no problem but there are a few things difficult about that.

    1) Unless you're playing SWF, there's little way to tell whether or not anyone else is doing totems, making it more difficult to decide whether to keep finding them or not.

    2) As totems now usually have very good spawn locations, unless every single survivor actively tries to look for them (which many don't), it's unlikely that all of them will be broken before the exit gates are powered.

    3) All of this has to be done just in case the killer has NOED, there is no way to tell they have it until it is activated and if they don't end up having it after all totems are cleansed, a large amount of the match has been wasted and can often lead to the killer getting a sacrifice because you took a precaution you didn't need to.

Other than that, I don't really care all too much about NOED, definitely a bit annoying to play against but what part of this game isn't annoying?

  • I'd love to see Carrie along with Sue Snell as a survivor.

  • Yeah, all exposed does, it was in the patch notes

  • But how would they ban them? Just ban everyone who used sprint burst in the last couple of weeks? That would be a lot of rank 20 Megs gone for nothing. I agree that all exploiters should be banned but how can you expect BHVR to know which people exploited sprint burst and who used it normally?

So, t-bagging, or clicking your flashlight 20 times a second is not BMing?

Or how about spamming loud noise notifications by repeatly doing a rushed action? A killer litterally cant ignore that, unless they turn off their sound completely.

Why do you assume I think that's acceptable? Just because I don't think a killer should bm means I'm a toxic survivor main? I play both sides equally and think that both sides of the community have an alarming number of toxic players in them and despise the kind of behaviour they show.

  • I like the idea but if yoy pay for the battle pass, I don't like the fact that you can still miss out on cosmetics, meaning you spent your money for nothing.

  • She doesn't need a nerf, she needs a rework. Mainly to make her viable on console.

  • @Fictionalname said:

The people who complain about nurse, noed and who thinks Ghostface doesnt need buffs.

You made a thread about how ghostface is apparently weak and people gave you valid and accurate arguments as to why he isn't, why are you still complaining about it?

I'm so confused. You must be confused with the old exhausation, where it recovered while running. Exhaustion doesn't recover while running... But you're trying to make the KILLER addons make exhaustion recover while running?

Yes, but only for the time added onto exhaustion by the add-ons, exhaustion caused by perks stays the same.

  • @thedevalex said:

"make these add-ons cause the old exhaustion effect and make the timer last twice as long while running" ???? so you want a killer add on to buff exhaustion? While running exhaustion cooldown doesn't go down, but you want killer addons to make survivors recover from exhaustion faster??

It still causes a detriment to survivors, just not one that can last an infinite amount of time. The lowest time for an exhaustion add-on is 30 seconds, while running this would be a full minute before the survivor could use their exhaustion perk. I don't know if you assumed I meant that by using these add-ons, all exhaustion would recover while running, I meant only the exhaustion caused by these add-ons. Exhaustion caused by exhaustion perks would still work as it does now.

  • @ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG said:

Wow an add on stops you from using your exhaustion perk so op. Pls nerf

Exactly, it shouldn't. A yellow or even brown add-on shouldn't completely counter green/purple perks for possibly the entire match.

  • (Quick update)

Pig's exhaustion add-on is fine IMO seeing as the RBT is pretty easy to remove.

  • No, she's fine as she is

  • @ArecBalrin said:

The OP is right. NOED currently depends on being triggered mid-chase or you managing to find someone at an exit-gate, which if they're out in the open is 50/50. The counter-play for survivors already is to hide or go to the opposite gate to the one the killer has. When it was made a Hex perk, it was regarded by killers as a massive nerf, but survivors are of course never satisfied.

Now this is a very low-standard of discussion; everyone will just play 'one-potato two-potato' trying to find an excuse more petty than the previous one to come out on top. We end up not actually discussing what the purpose of a feature is and if we agree in principle.

Would be nice if we gave it a try though.

Literally all I see you post about is how survivors are OP and that not a single killer perk should be able to be countered. If you had anywhere near a decent amount of experience with this game you would know that in the early days, NOED was permanent once exit gates were powered. The devs soon realised how ridiculous this was and put a 2 minute timer on it. Because survivors could just wait this out, once Hag was released, they turned it into a hex. I personally don't even think it should be in the game, despite the fact it does have counterplay even if that counterplay relies on RNG and if you're a solo survivor, being lucky enough to have competent teammates. However, I know for a fact that if it was changed back into its original state, practically nobody would play survivor, myself included.
