Nerf her blink recharge add ons. I don’t really want her nerfed though, but that’s how I would do it.
That would do nothing. The base-kit rework in general did absolutely nothing from what I've seen, just made Nurse a bit less enjoyable.

This has nothing to do with DBD, Steam maintenances happen every Tuesday.

I think his lunge is a little too good now, but all seeing is straight up stupid right now.
His lunge is exactly the same, the speed boost is slightly longer though (1 second => 1.25 seconds). But I agree All-Seeing is braindead and is the old Iri Head of Wraith.

But he isn't though.
His other add-ons work based on the idea that his movement speed was one thing, but they didn't nerf the add-ons when they buffed him, so now some of his add-ons are seriously oppressive.
I knew someone would mention this. I should have been more specific.
Yes, I think the All-Seeing add-ons are overpowered and need to be reworked.
-
Lovely, so last gen console players won't be able to get as much bloodpoints out of this event? I can get 300k bloodpoints in 2 games in this event, 300k is nothing.
-
It needs a buff/rework but your idea seems like a better version of Stake Out.

How do you play against a killer you can't see most of the time, can't hear, and he's so fast you are going to get hit, period? I think they went too far with his buff but oh well. It's not like they'll admit they made a mistake and do anything that would upset killer mains.
Wraith is the same he's ever been... they just made an add-on that made him viable base-kit. I posted a few things on this thread on how to play against Wraith.
Y'all don't know how to play against Wraith because you rarely saw him in matches. Now that he's viable, people are enjoying playing as him.
-
Even though I think killers should be able to run what they want, I have to agree with you, Blight is a bit too oppressive with those perks (unless you're going against SWF). It's okay if you run it but I personally think it's too much.
I think the issue is not Blight himself, but Tinkerer, and maybe solos being miserable to play. The Ruin + Tinkerer combo is already extremely powerful on high mobility killers, especially on Blight where it can be overkill due to his god-tier mobility. It doesn't matter if your gen is at 95%, when Tinkerer procs Blight will be there in no time, and Ruin will regress it down to 60% pretty quickly. Do the gen again and Tinkerer procs again. Couple that with Undying and your Ruin is secured if you're lucky.
Personally I run BBQ, PGTW, Shadowborn, and Lethal Pursuer on my Blight, with no add-ons. The build is able to handle SWFs and get a good start. At least one slowdown perk seems necessary against SWF, so I put PGTW in there. I'm beginning to master the new Blight with his butter tech, so I may remove PGTW sometime.
-
Short answer: Less money for BHVR.
Longer answer: It would discourage people from buying DLCs of killers whose perks are good but the killer/survivors themselves not being appealing, thus it gives less money for the devs.
-
Yeah, no thanks.
-
I do it sometimes. If killers give hatch to survivors that liked the way they played, then I don't see the issue with giving them a kill if I liked the way they played. (If I'm getting a crown I'll just drop an item in front of them.)
I think I've only seen survivors offer themselves to me twice. I chose to let both of them go. It doesn't seem common, but I'll try to make it more common!
-
Buff: Clown - Separate his bottle count! It would introduce a new playstyle with only using antidotes for mobility (I personally wouldn't use this playstyle, but it would be interesting!), and only using tonics in chases. For my Clown playstyle, it would make it less stressful to deal with reloading mid-chase.
Nerf: Spirit - I don't think I need to answer this one. Okay fine, just show glimpses of her while she phases to give her a form of counterplay, and lock the grunts of pain and breathing sounds to 50% so that Stridor and IW don't affect it during phasing. The second one would technically be a buff, but a nerf at the same time.

Agreed. I really don't understand the Wraith hate. Like he barely has been changed at all he's still Wraith and he's still a lame M1 killer.
Exactly. I still think he's barely average as a killer. All they did was make him more enjoyable to play as and even more enjoyable to play against in my opinion, because they made an add-on that made him viable base-kit.
With all the "Wraith OP" threads we've been getting lately, I really wouldn't be surprised if Wraith's buffs got reverted, which would honestly piss me off.
-
I still hope we get him one day.
-
@Zokenay said:
It has more to do with how easy he is as a killer and gets free hits with his massive lunge easily
Or y'know, maybe realize that he's the same as he's ever been? In fact I'd argue that his current base-kit is weaker than his older self with Windstorm. Plus his lunge is the same as it's ever been, the speed boost from uncloaking is just barely longer. Y'all only complain about his base-kit because he wasn't as common as he is today.
-
If they're "nerfing" Wraith in a way then they'll be changing All-Seeing "Blood".
-
I think it's good as it is. Extremely rewarding compared to other exhaustion perks.
-
Left Behind also had an alternative perk icon for console, but it was very minor.
Remember Me, Fire Up, and Vigil (Vigil's was difficult to notice) also had alternate icons, exclusive to Switch before the Nightmare on Elm Street DLC released on the latter. I was only able to find this, though (right is Remember Me):
-
No questions asked.
-
The Entity brainwashed some of them before they were in the realm. However, there are some that the Entity admired to the point where it would actually take certain killers (Doctor, Clown, Ghostface, Trickster) because they enjoyed what they did.
Spirit is an interesting case because she wasn't the one being brainwashed, but her father was. She only hurt/killed people out of self defense and she seemed like a decent person in general, and she only tried to kill her father because he killed his wife, aka her mother.
An interesting one I should mention is Billy. Hillbilly only wanted to kill his parents because of the way he was treated and I don't really blame him. Don't think he was brainwashed either. He only killed people that tried to hurt him I believe, for example feeding the cop to a bunch of pigs alive (which was arguably ######### up but he didn't really have a moral agency, personally I think the cop got what he deserved).
-
As a PC player I agree that you folks need some compensation.
-
So bring back pre-nerf DS, got it.

I love playing Blight, but I think any Killer that has the ability to transverse the map quick needs a significant cooldown to prevent them from going from gen to gen to gen. Blight, Billy and Wraith all can transverse the map and instantly be in a chase right after hooking someone, all the other killers perform fine while being constrained to normal movement and that's how the game is balanced. Map transversal abilities need significant cooldowns, especially on small maps, where those killers are guaranteed 4ks.
(I love Billy and I play Billy and Blight knowing they are in need of nerfs. However, I am very limited on using them because I don't want to rank up so far that I can play the normal speed killers).
Blight's cooldown is long as ######### don't know what you're on about.
Unless you run Alchemist's Ring

As a Yui main I prefer her old self, but no matter what she looks like, it won't stop me from playing her.

My only guess is that while the nerf didn't do much in terms of his strength, it did numbers to his enjoyability factor, which also matters a lot despite people desperately trying to say otherwise. Being slowed down everytime you use your power doesn't exactly sound fun nor does it feel in any way good to use, does it? It's the same thing they did to Billy, Pyramid Head and Nurse: their ability changes didn't change how good they were and instead just made them feel like crap to play.
That's also true. It made Freddy even more boring to play as.
-
Flashbangs can be used for saves when the killer is facing the wall.
I think flashlights are more consistent though. But who knows?

Necrosing because i saw the link in another thread
I kinda agree with most of them, the one i disagree the most is pig. Most pigs play her just as an M1 killer with built in slowdown, they have no idea how to use the dash, which is core part of her power, meaning they didn't even understand her
I'd keep her intermediate
Looking back, I agree. I've seen people do some sick plays with that ambush, and it takes a large brain and skill to do.
Ambush in general takes skill to use so I would say her skill floor starts at intermediate.

Nonono, I mean as a Survivor.
Oh. I guess you can try to use a decent loop. Windows and pallets hinder Wraith, and predropping unsafe pallets can be useful at times.
Don't take offense to what I said btw, Wraith wasn't a very common killer back then so it's understandable if you have trouble playing against him. (In other words, sorry if I sounded aggressive on my first post saying people don't know how to play against Wraith.)

Help a brother out here, How do I counter that?
While cloaked as Wraith, you move at a STUNNING 150% speed with no add-ons. You can take advantage of this by cloaking to catch up to a survivor during a chase.
-
Probably unrelated but I made a thread a month ago about my disagreement of killer difficulties, and tried to redo all of them. Here's the link to it: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/255713/killer-difficulties-my-version
-
Man, I love threads like these.
I'm happy you like it here, I really am.
-
- Make it 8 => 7 blades to injure/down a survivor, aka Melodious Murder base-kit (rework that add-on to the faster reload add-on in the PTB to compensate).
- Keep the new Main Event.
- Require survivors to pull the knives out. Would make Trickster more interesting to play against with the whole risk-reward idea.

I'm pretty sure they only got banned for a month. Could be wrong, though.
Yeah, I think it's a 1-month ban considering they got jailed the other day. There's also a possibility that if they actually realized that they were a troll, they'd permanently ban them. But who knows.
-
You can use portals as tracking utility if you put them under hex totems. Channeling the abyss shows the killer instinct of survivors near/on the portals (they don't have to be cleansing the portal).
Shred is a POWERFUL chase tool. You can use it to zone. It's incredibly fast so you can charge it up for a while without worrying about the vault screwing you over. Just charge it up before a survivor vaults a window/drops a pallet and watch and learn. You have to channel the abyss early though.
Hiding your portals can be helpful at times, but the stomping sounds are definitely a hinderance because of how loud they are to the survivors. It's still useful to prevent them from knowing where the portals are though.

I almost never play against Freddy, if he is so strong why noone plays him?
Freddy dont even have powers and his addons are trash, maybe good for gen control, but he really has nothing. I dont fear Freddy at all
They moved onto Wraith after Freddy got nerfed.
The Freddy nerf did absolutely nothing so idk why they went to Wraith.

Yeah. For a troll, they were pretty polite to people.

People don't know how to play against Wraith for some damn reason.
I still think Freddy is stronger than Wraith, even though Wraith can counter W meta.
