Very underrated perk that can give you a good amount of value. Keep in mind that the survivors that are affected by the perk can see you as well, which can be very useful. Unfortunately, your teammates can abuse that by bringing the killer to you. I still think it's a good perk nonetheless.
-
Stealth killers seem pretty fun to play against so I'd be happy if we get another stealth killer or a mobility killer.
-
Yep, like I'm glad it's extremely rare to get the map, but we don't even get the chance to learn it, and now the map offering is disabled (permanently, or?).
-
I feel like the best way to buff it is to give it a way to gain tokens.
EDIT: Just wanna say, I'm looking forward to this series!
-
To be honest, I don't blame you. I've been getting tired of it as well. Unfortunately though, nothing can be done to stop it.
I've been leaving matches instantly after they end for a good while. I just say "gg" and get the hell out of there. I ain't got time for it anymore.
-
I like these ideas, it gives room for more counterplay against Spirit.

Deafening Spirit is not the right call. Her whole entire power is her relying on sound. Eliminate her being able to hear anything and she’s awful.
IMO it shouldn’t be a straight up guessing game for either side. Both the Spirit and the survivors should have a clue of what the other is doing and where they are leading to both sides having to make the correct call while in a chase. The guessing game is just like “yay I got a down because I landed on heads” or “yay I got away because I landed on tails”.
I don't agree with the idea of deafening Spirit but I do believe that she'd still be powerful in the hands of good Spirit players.
-
It's only good on chest builds. Don't destroy it though, it's a very fun perk.
It could use buffs, like make it have a 50/75/100% chance of finding an uncommon or lower add-on.
-
I wish Victor was customizable.
-
I hate going against Sloppy Butcher. It's an annoying perk to go against. It's not unbalanced or anything, and I don't mind if it stays or leaves the game, but it's just annoying.
Weird take but I find Lithe to be annoying to play against. I don't want it nerfed or changed at all, I just find it annoying. But it's a perk that is quite fun to run as a survivor, and imo the perk is fine and balanced. Lucky Break seems annoying but I haven't played against it enough, so we'll skip that one for now.
-
I think IW is fine. Just fix the silent survivor bug that happens when a survivor is downed (not sure if it happens with IW), and remove the breathing sound reduction caused by the perk.
-
The censoring is nice, sometimes it censors too much.
-
Yeah I think Deathslinger is right where he should be right now, it's best we leave him alone.
He's an incredibly oppressive killer in the 1v1 game (arguably the most powerful 1v1 killer other than Nurse and Spirit), but is trash in 1v4.
To be fair, it's pretty difficult to make a killer that is both fun to play as and against. We all know Billy, Oni, and Blight are exceptions because they are good at both 1v1 and 1v4. It's easier to make one that is fun to play as, but not fun to play against.

I would love to answer you if it was clear if ti's fun to PLAY AS or fun to PLAY AGAINST. ^^
Fun to play as.
However, you can answer the poll any way you'd like.
-
Damn, this thread certainly didn't make people happy.
-
Candyman would be cool later on, not right now though. I want them to fix this game first.
-
It's still a great perk, in fact it's become a staple to my build. It's punished tunnelers many times. People underestimate the power DS holds.
-
I've put together a bunch of ideas that others have thought of, and slapped it onto this! Here it is, the Myers update:
- Myers starts the trial with tier 1 99'd. Makes it less of a hinderance.
- Give Myers an alternative stalk that generates evil on survivors. This will allow you to stalk a survivor that ran out of juice again to gain T3.
- In tier 2, Myers slightly breaks pallets faster (2.7 seconds => 2.34 seconds). In tier 3, he breaks pallets moderately faster (2.7 seconds => 1.89 seconds).
- Add-ons updated, I'll think about doing a Myers add-on pass sometime.
And that's all I've got! I feel like it'd make him a viable killer, but since he's an easy killer he'll still be held back, so I won't go too overboard.

His secret perk is moderately/considerably/tremendously decreasing the survivors' IQ. That's why people DC after getting downed by him.
-
They're prepping for MMR. They wanted us to get used to it, before MMR strikes.

But they can do totems and wow, look at that, no NoED.
You don't deserve the unhook just because you got to the endgame. The Killer can still kill you until you leave. No amount of made up rules about the 'endgame' changes the fact that you did not win until you escape.
That's easier said than done.
It's still difficult to do all totems, even with perks that'll help you with that. Your solo queue teammates are unpredictable.
-
My idea was to give him an alternative stalk that can be switched into. This version allows him to regenerate evil on a survivor in order to stalk them with the default stalk to get to tier 3.
-
Counterforce is pretty trash tbh.

Really? It's unfair that the Killer is getting a kill because he brought an endgame perk and made use of it?
Or are you just feeling like you're entitled to that save, because...reasons?
Because survivors manage to get to the endgame and wow, look at that, NOED.
It's a solo queue destroyer.

you could just leave through the gate I don't know why survivors don't just do this
That's not the point T, the issue is that it's unfair to have to leave a survivor behind because of NOED.

Why do you want to see completely uncounterable, 0 skill downs on every killer? That’s what 130% movespeed is.
By that logic, old Bubba was OP with PWYF + Nemesis.
You seem to be forgetting the amount of time it takes to get 3 stacks.
Even then, the perk will remain the same as it ever was, it'll just allow more for PWYF on other killers. I don't think it'd hurt to make PWYF viable on other killers.
-
@Sandt21 said:
Vile Purge doesn't consume a PWYF stack
Oh, it doesn't? That's good to know, the DBD wiki was wrong about that.
-
Sounds like lazy design tbh. An M1 killer with no power but has higher speed, and the ability to run more than four perks.
Well now that I think of it, minus the last part, that sounds like Wraith, but at least the big guy's more interesting and kinda fun to play as.
-
@SilentPill said:
Uh, it is a good perk? 3 stacks on a 1 shot killer is basically free downs. I don’t think free downs should be handed out lightly cough NOED cough
It's a bit difficult to get stacks on PWYF though. Nemesis makes it easier but you're sacrificing a perk slot for easier stacks. Plus, it consumes time to be able to get the stacks, allowing survs to do gens.
I just want this perk to be usable on all killers, that's all. It's one of my favorite perks in the game and I hate seeing it like this.
-
@GrimoireWeiss said:
I love using it on Ghostface. You can get 3 stacks while 99ing everybody. I wish it was a bit buffed so I could use it on other killers.
Btw, gotta love how a single Trickster knife consumes a token, but literally killing a survivor with Tombstone Myers doesn't.
That's what I'm sayin'.
It's a fun perk on particular killers tho, it's still kinda fun on Bubba.

@Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:
Giving you extra speed's a reeeaal careful thing to balance.
I, personally, think making it "Lose a stack on a successful down" wouldn't be too horrible for everyone.
Maybe.
I don't know, i'm tired.
Maybe just a health state, that's all.

Perk-wise, RE.
Map-wise, Stranger Things.
Killer-wise, Stranger Things.
Character-wise, Stranger Things.
I think Demogorgon is one of the most well-designed killers in the game. They're quite similar to Billy, Oni, and Blight, having mobility and decent chase in their kits. While I do find Nemesis fun, he isn't as unique as Demogorgon in terms of power.
RE introduced a nice variety of perks that are very fun to use and also very interactive. They're also pretty decent.
-
Tampered Timer, Crate of Gears, and Jigsaw's Sketch are ridiculous add-ons and need a rework. Actually, give her an add-on pass.
I think Pig needs GF's crouch tbh, her ambush charge time is long enough.
With these changes I think Pig will be a very balanced killer.
-
Room for another Blight main here?
IMO he's one of the strongest killers in the game, at the top of the A tier on my list. However he does suffer from a few things, such as being bad on certain maps (Rotten Fields, Lery's, Hawkins), however unlike Billy he can handle them alright.
He also suffers from being bad in certain loops. In his defense, he's extremely powerful in shack and jungle gyms.
His power is very punishing if you miss, making him very similar to Nurse. However if you fail, from what it seems it makes you better at Blight. Trial and error is the way to go. Finally, he has insane mobility and solid chase power which is his main strength.
I don't think he's better than Nurse or Spirit, but he's pretty damn good.
-
Yo, you called me?
Hell yeah I'd love it! There's a large variety of characters to choose from, when it comes to killers and survivors. I think SCP-106 (The Old Man) would be the best fit for the killer.
Unfortunately, it'd be difficult to implement due to the creative commons license.

Billy players shot Billy in the foot. If it wasn't for the fact that his best add-ons were nearly always abused he wouldn't have been so heavily nerfed.
Honestly I was fine with getting those add-ons removed. I don't like that they abused instasaw. I just wish they didn't mess with his base-kit.

Quit with that rhetoric about the devs thinking he was soooo balanced. If that were true they wouldn't have nerfed him.
Overheat gives you 10 seconds of revving before it kicks in, that's plenty of time for a skillful play. You are free to think whatever you want about how I play or if I have played Billy, my personal play style doesn't have jack to do with the reason he was nerfed.
I mean the devs only intended it to punish campers lol

This sounds like a copypasta, lol.
Dead Hard is probably one of the best designed perks for Survivors in the entire game. The reason I say this is because it requires the most interaction and precise timing of all of the perks in the survivors arsenal as well as giving the survivor plenty of opportunities to use it. It requires you to juggle running, looking behind you and judging when to use it at the most optimal time. If you use it well as a survivor, you get the most satisfaction because the timing to use it is so precise. It also gives Killers the change to interact with the survivor by attempting to have the survivor use it at a bad time. Plus it gives plenty of opportunity to use it badly.
It is buggy because of lag and a lot of times it causes the survivor to end of on the ground, exhausted and the code can be improved. I do think Sprint Burst and Lithe are better perks and will always use Sprint Burst over Dead Hard, however I appreciate the Devs design of Dead Hard and will play it every once in a while. (Because of tunneling, Sprint Burst is the best perk to prevent that and I usually wind up regretting not running Sprint Burst).
I think flashbang is another very well designed perk that allows Survivors the ability to affect the outcome of the game with a perk that is more skill based and usefulness than other perks. Distraction is another well designed perk.
Smash Hit, although it is another perk that requires skill to get the most from it, has the major downfall of it not have enough opportunities to use it. If it gave you 2 seconds of speed after throwing a pallet and 4 seconds of speed after stunning a killer with a pallet, I think it would be better designed because it gives more opportunities for use.

How did having an extremely forgiving ability that could easily get fast downs somehow take more skill? From what I've experienced, being able to figure out the "trial and error" part and not mess up in the first place takes MORE skill than was previously required as it requires more planning and precision. The points you made appear to me as confusing ease of use with skill. Using the gutter bumpers in bowling to get more strikes doesn't make someone a skillful bowler. The Hillbilly wasn't just nerfed for the hell of it, there was a valid reason.
The devs themselves thought the Hillbilly was a very balanced killer, and presumed that overheat wouldn't do anything but punish campers. 3 seconds is pretty punishing if you ask me btw, I don't think you've ever played Billy.
And I'm afraid that's not how it works. Overheat discourages people from doing the skill-based plays.
I don't think you know how to play against him, but you'll probably learn how to play against him sooner or later.
-
Agreed. Way too killer sided.
-
The female killers (excluding Pig) look pretty miserable and terrifying (including Huntress) dunno what you're on about.

"Allowed survivors to escape"....sure whatever you say. His punishment practically did nothing, no loss of vision, you could still move, and you had everything back in 3 seconds. Legion has a bigger punishment for missing his power than Billy did and he doesn't even have a 1 hit down ability.
Billy takes more skill now than he did before, not a whole hell of a lot more, but just enough to drive away the people who used him for his previously easy and forgiving gameplay.
3 seconds is enough to reach a pallet or window.
He takes less skill to play, his power encourages you to eat the survivor's ass (backrevving) and down them while M1ing in loops, instead of going for cool plays like flicks, which'll screw you over because they're trial and error, and overheat will screw you over if you keep messing up.
-
Well, err...
-
Let's even things out.
Both need buffs.
-
People are abusing the DC penalty being turned off.
-
Suppose I'll have to repost this...
I've been using mods for the past 3 months and I haven't gotten banned for it. There's no guarantees you'll be fine, but as far as I'm concerned, no one's been banned for using mods. While BHVR doesn't mind it at the moment, EAC can detect modified game files. But I'm fine atm.
