Define 'good' connection, please.
40ms or less usually, by the way most survivors I go against are around 80-100 especially consoles they're usually(not always) around 120

Do you realize that you're not the only one in the pallet interaction, right? If the survivor has as good connection as you or better and IF they stun you before you hit them, then the hit isn't validated. Vice versa applies too. If you hit them first, you will get credited.
There are no sides. First come, first served.
If both players have a good connection I shouldn't see the hit go through on my end but it still happens sometimes.

Like I already said to someone else, if they are getting in your face, ignore them. They aren't doing gens, so if you go pressure someone else, you are technically pressuring and occupying multiple survivors. That unhooked survivor can either stay around you and bother you, which is just being useless to the team, or they can go do gens and their ds is disabled
And then the killer is chasing someone else.........Killers don't have constant all seeing knowledge of where survivors are if you get ignored and start doing a gen and get found again that's not tunneling you just got found again.

Base DS is still rewarding them for nothing technically, what you said doesn't make sense. This just gives them extra protection from people who are still gonna inevitably tunnel and slug.
If survivors are legit getting tunneled then DS doesn't need a buff.

Have you even read the July dev update? If you did you’d realise all the server does is check if the stun was made before the hit. There are no sides.
I read it and if it worked as intended I shouldn't get hit with this since I have good connection to their servers, I dont play unless I do, but I still get robbed of hits so obviously it's not always working as intended
-
The whole map needs to disabled till they can figure out a way to shrink it substantially whether that be cutting into 2 or more variants or trimming the fat on some areas either way the map is awful and until then I refuse to play on it.
-
Blight can get around the map better but that's about it. In every other category nurse is leagues better.

No, they haven’t switched it. The server is the judge, not the killer’s client, not the survivor’s client. Play survivor and you’ll see you can still get hit if you throw a pallet too late.
I'm aware who plays judge and that's the problem the things killers and survivors see are too different and the server just says who wins one way or the other they just switched who the judge swings towards so again the problem wasn't fixed just changed.

Yeah I agree with this. The hatch is a really dumb mechanic in general. Why should the last survivor be able to escape for free anyway?
I mean its not a "free" escape its just a random chance who will find it first and frankly the killer has the edge in finding the hatch in almost every scenario except a full 4-man all searching for it.

Maybe I don't play spirit and this is the first I'm hearing of it even then I'd still say that spirit is stronger.

Because you have poor connection, survivors will no longer get screwed over by a killer with McDonald’s WiFi.
I dont play a lobby unless I have green connection and it still happens to me so idk what you mean. The problem isn't just a killers connection issue its the desync between the killers and the survivors to the same server they just switched who benefited more problem is still there.

Not even close to bannable, people like to throw around what is and isnt bannable. Hell I still see people who think 4 man slugging is holding the game hostage, even though bhvr has already specifically said that it is not.

No he's still not as strong as spirit. The stridor nerf only affects lower skilled spirits since higher tier ones never used it to begin with, so until she receives a proper nerf we can't evaluate who gets #2 spot then.
-
Sh*t tier maps.
-
Enduring spirit fury is great, I run whispers and IF with pop so I always know where a survivor is, you can even use STBFL since his lethal rush hits on your obsession won't take your stacks if you wanna go that route(not as big on it personally since I wanna be getting as many lethal rush hits as I can).

When are they going to fix window and dead hard hits? Is it really going to take 3 years to do those too?
The problem is that dbds latency issue wasn't fixed with this update they just bandaid fix each issue without tackling the core issue so these problems will keep happening
-
No I'm not saying that they did the same thing with Huntress with Billy I'm saying that the addons pass style reworks that they've been doing to older killers is what led to them messing with Billy's addons as well as his base kit. They did a much worse job with Billy then pretty much any other addon pass. @Steel_Eyed

What's the thing, bhvr showed themselves in video that killers and survivors see different things on screen. On my survivor screen I see a clean stun on your screen you see a clean hit. It's not survivor sided, it's a correct sided, you still gonna get hits if you suppose to get hit. You just got use to getting these hits in 3 years of gameplay that now it feels wrong when you don't. And hit thing is a bug which will definitely gonna be fixed by bhvr in coming weeks/months.
Its not *correct* sided though the problem is that because of bad net code and servers the things survivors and killers see aren't lined up properly. So before on a survivors screen they'd see a clean pallet stun and still get hit but now it will more often be killers who see a clean hit and get nothing. They literally just changed who it benefits. Id like to stress that I dont care which side it benefits the problem needs to be solved regardless no one should feel like they got robbed because of their connection to bhvrs Jerry rigged servers.
-
The last 3 killers have been awful and the list of anti loop killers just keep rising even though there are so many examples of why people hate those killers.
-
The problem is still there its just now its survivor sided. So from now on we'll see clips of people getting the hit sound, blood and everything and then nothing will happen. Both were dumb and instead of fixing the issue of bad servers and accepting players with horrible ping they've just flipped who wore the unlucky shoe
-
Yep found this out the hard way when a person dc'd after their first down and the rest just wanted to farm and since i didn't I figured f*could this ill just go to the next one and got slapped with a 5 minute timeout cause I didn't want to farm.

Hopefully never, every test I was paired with people way below or way above me, I almost never had a player in my game that was even within 500 hours of me

I'm pretty sure BT used to give the savior BT as well. I'm talking about having BT activate if you have it equipped even when the person unhooking you doesn't have it. Currently BT, for solo play, isn't that good. It is most a SWF perk tbh. If they made it so if you had BT and someone unhooked you without BT and you still got the effect, it would add a lot of value for solo play because currently solo play is very lacking when it comes to BT because most people play greedy and don't run it while farming teammates. Think of it like the Kindred change. They made it so that you can see the other survivors when you have it equipped while someone is hooked. It used to only show everyone when the hooked person had Kindred.
Yeah that'd still be fairly OP considering how strong it is now. You can't rate a perk based on "well when Im solo people dont use it"

That's not what they're talking about. The thing you're thinking is when unhooking someone both you and unhooked person would get BT.
They're talking about when you get unhooked (and have BT) it also activates. But I do agree that this isn't needed.
And WGLF should get more tokens for being altruistic in other ways! Like picking someone up from the ground or healing someone (maybe that one should count once tho)
OOOOH I see yeah that'd still be a bit much

(this took me ages to find)
As for Myers, he is the only one with the different amount of Add-ons compared to the usual amount each killer has:
Every killer has 4 common - 5 uncommon - 5 rare - 4 very rare - 2 ultra-rare add-ons while Myers has 3 common - 6 uncommon - 5 rare - 4 very rare - 2 ultra rare add-ons. I know they have confirmed he is getting an add-on pass before but I can't find it, however his add-on rarities don't match up to everyone elses so you could assume he will definitely get one soon.
Almo always has the most interesting takes

@Axx said:
Make it so that if you have BT, you also get the effect if you get unhooked. This would be a great change imo to combat being farmed as a solo survivor. Also you should get a WGLF stack for completing 40% of a generator. WGLF is currently not as rewarding as its killer counterpart BBQ. This would help bring it up to almost BBQ level in in regard to the ease of getting stacks.
That's how BT used to work if I'm not mistaken and they changed it because it was wildly OP. BT is already arguably the best survivor perk in the game and an easy top 5 it doesn't need a buff. I do however agree that WGLF needs to be procced more commonly and you should have all 4 stacks if you are escaping. I don't care if it has a Targets receipt length of ######### that procs it as long as you can comfortably get all 4 stacks as long as you aren't throwing.

With this much heat dissipation (5.0), it only punishes the killer for holding their power too long. Like in front of a hooked survivor. Or holding someone hostage at a loop.
Its not stupid, but it should be better.
only baby billys revved their saws for that long before anyways though, so why punish babies trying to learn the power. Probably part of why so few people play Billy anymore is that he's no longer beginner friendly.

That's what I meant. Most of those maps, like Hawkins and MIdwich, are ez win for the Killer and hell for survivors.
tbh I hate those maps from killer too. Not cause they are particularly hard to win in but because they generally just revert most killers to basic m1 killers and their powers are fairly irrelevant. That's why I hate these maps so much they aren't fun for either side. Also I'd argue that hawkins for most killers is actually survivor sided.
-
@TerrorUnleashed said:
I wholeheartedly disagree. I love Badham and Hawkins.
Edit: I know nobody considers Springwood a 'licensed map' in full, but I do, so :D
Hawkins is easily bottom 5 maps for me at least as a killer. Even as a survivor I hate hawkins.

You could see inside the building with the 1st.hillbilly version, at the end of his chainsaw animation (the billy's model could put his head inside the building and his point of view saw accross the wall). You can't do it anymore because devs are made this Hillbilly's remake: his 1st.person cam is different now and his 'wallhack' doesn't work anymore.
Okay but thats like the least of my worries, didn't even mention it in my post because even before the best use of that was just to check lockers a little faster. Honestly forgot that was even something you could do.

Did they say that in the patch notes or are you assuming? I'll be honest I didn't read the whole bugs section since its always so long and the bugs they fix are usually so minor that I've never ran into 90% of them.

literally all he needed was add-on changes. that was it. but no, god forbid we have a fun killer in this game, and god forbid bhvr shows any amount of competence.
Its only been downhill since billy and blight was released. The midchapters have been more consistently exciting then the actual chapter releases and even then it was really only the wraith change.
-
Gen tapping I do think is pretty stupid honestly, for the most part a killers action should be worth at least double a survivors for any one action but a survivor can waste a full 2 seconds of a killers time with like a frame of movement, just doesn't make sense to me.
I'm not saying that survivors should have to do a full animation of any kind to get the gen going again but they should at least be forced to complete a skill check first before repairing can start back up
-
@Starly said:
I'm not the best player out there, but most of the community agrees that it's not fun to play against these killers. In my opinion killers whose power is easy to use should not be strong, they should be more like before 5.1.0 Trickster. So I'm proposing pretty easy, but significant changes.
The Spirit
Survivors hear her phase sound even while you're in a chase. I think it would make it much easier on survivor side while not nerfing Spirit into oblivion. I haven't played Spirit to think of other nerfs (my main reason not to play her is that I don't feel good when playing, because it feels cheap to down someone with your power)
The Deathslinger
I think it should take a second or 1.5 seconds to aim up your gun. Let's be honest, there's no human who can quick scope in real life, and even with experience that Deathslinger has from his life I really don't think he can instantly shoot someone without aiming. While I think it's quite a nerf I know that slinger is a weak killer overall and there should be buffs to his other aspects if this nerf comes through.
I'd like to hear feedback on this and why this changes are bad or how to change better.
The deathslinger nerf isn't a bad idea but I think shipping this alone would lead him to being in a pretty rough spot so I think you'd need to buff some other aspect of his kit maybe a range buff to give him so more threat at range to like maybe 26 meters or something im it sure honestly.

@n000b51 said:
No more wallhack at the end of a chainsaw sprint, dev has lowered the Hillbilly's 1st.person cam for this reason. And this point changes many things...
Many main billys can full chainsaw the 4 survivors but many bugs during the chainsaw animation are still on.
What the hell are you talking about?

That's why Map offerings might work better as secret offerings. Or it might be better, if offerings aren't officially know at all. It just add to a toxic mindset, that make you think "Oh. My opponent is wishing for that map. Wonder how they wanna exploit that." Starting the match already with a negative mind.
I've seen myself doing that. Saw it on other. Doesn't matter if survivor or killer. Maybe killer players do it more often. which just comes from the general nature of the game. Might make the community slightly better.
i'd rather they just be removed
-
I'd need proof for that honestly. Since his nerf the amount of times I've seen him can be counted on 2 hands and from what i've seen and read hes similarly rare for others

I don’t think overheat needs to be wholly removed. Buff dissipation to the released amount (5.0/sec) and I completely agree, rework those addons to more fun addons.
- Pighouse gloves could be the yellow engravings without a charge time penalty.
- Black Grease could be a combination of Dad’s Boots and Steel Boots.
And so on. He needs more fun.
If they're nerfing it to the point of it barely applying I'd rather them just delete it so they can change the overheat addons into something actually interesting plus I hate how high pitch the chainsaw gets at higher overheat
