No what it means is if all 5 totems are cleansed you can bring them back as rekindled totems and each totem rekindled has a effect
1 totem=30% gen slowdown
2 totems=30% healing slowdown
3 totems=30% recovery slowdown
4 totems=30% slower exit gate opening
5 totems=all totems are blocked by the entity and can never be cleansed again
So a normal hex doesn't contribute to Pentimento? Only the rekindled totems?

Leatherface is pretty bad in any normal circumstance but I agree with you on the basement. The basement should just be gone, it basically only benefits Bubba now.

Just ask the developers for a gun to shoot the killers with don't be shy.
A gun for survivors = server sided pallet vaulting...?
-
Well according to the devs there aren't going to be exclusive cosmetics even if you bought their crappy game that lasted 2 months and also JK there are still exclusive cosmetics we just aren't going to tell you which ones will be exclusive or not.

Yes they did with last patch. Also not only to PC players, but to all players on consoles as well
Omg that is so sad.

He's not too strong but he's also extremely annoying to go against. I also don't like how luck based he can be with the box spawn and once a chain hunt starts it can be a complete game changer. I don't think he needs to be changed that much, overall he is fine.

A big part of survivor strategy is learning how to maximize loop efficiency. Primarily one of those things is guaranteeing fast vaults, which is more than mechanically possible at nearly every loop in the game with proper spacing and movement. I learned a long time ago how to do this, and rarely ever get medium vaults. I don't say this very often, but if you are medium vaulting often enough for it to be detrimental to your gameplay you seriously need to git gud
That's not true. Even the best tournament survivors don't take every single angle wide to get fast vaults.
-
@GrimReaperJr1232 said:
Medium vaults are only 0.9 secs compared to a fast vaults 0.5
They're fast enough already. Just learn to get your fast vaults down
The vault speeds are actually more than that when you include running away from the window. The killer can still hit through windows so you have to get away from an entire lunge hit from the window before you're safe. With a medium vault when all is said and done it's like 2 seconds because you start with no momentum and have to gain it again when running.

Survivors have gotten nothing but nerfs since the game came out...
-
Wow it's almost like dbd used to not have a DC penalty at all and people played it just as well.
-
Trickster imo because he can basically guarantee to down you. Slowly but surely he will down you at any loop whereas it can become impossible for Huntress at certain high wall loops.
-
Um... Why?
-
The Michael Myers seen in the game is owned by a different company than Halloween Kills. They only have the rights to use whatever was in the very first Halloween movie and that's it. If they wanted to use content from other films they would have to make more licensing deals with other companies and that probably isn't worth it for a skin.
-
I've been seeing nothing but spirits lately, personally.
-
You haven't been able to say "Michael Scott" since the filter came out.
-
The fact that MMR incentivizes you to lose your games means that it's bad.
-
According to the lore the entity feeds off of the hope of the survivors so it makes sense that it makes the game balanced. It's like a game to the entity so sometimes it will give survivors good things.

No, standing still was just the empitom of bad design. Her not giving any informations to the survivor that she was using her powers and where she was phasing was a problem. Take Wraith as an example: He is shimmering and croaking and thus provides information. Now Spirit also has more audio to her putting her on a more equal footing to the survivor.
You could already tell she was phasing before once you got out of a small radius. The difference between her and wraith is that wraith can actually see the survivors and scratch marks and spirit can't. That's why she's completely invisible.

It’s main effect is being able to pick yourself up with a hex active. This is risky since most hexes are strong but if you have a boon that risk is nullified and you still get the full reward
No the main effect of SG is the endurance status effect after recovering. Unbreakable already exists which is SG's bonus effect. In the description the endurance status effect even comes first and the perk is called "soul GUARD". It's main purpose and what makes it different from unbreakable is the endurance status effect because that isn't even reliant on a hex, the hex part is just a bonus effect.
-
SBMM is objectively matching people more fairly. If you don't feel that it's matching you fairly you are an outlier.
-
Eh I think she's ugly. I like the witch aesthetic tho I'm just waiting for some better cosmetics.

I was talking about the spots killers can’t snuff at the moment. Anyway this isn’t a discussion about boons it’s about the fact that should guard works with them and renders the downside of soul guard obsolete
What downside of Soul Guard? It still works without hexes anyway the unbreakable effect is just a bonus. It's probably a bug anyway or the OP didn't realize they also had unbreakable or didn't know the SG effect still happens without a hex.
-
I got a really long one today. It wasn't infinite but it was like 10 min.

What the unsnuffable ones?
What unsnuffable ones? It takes killers like 1 second to get rid of them and it takes the survivors 16 seconds + the normal recovery time to get back up from downed. That's only if the killer is tunnel visioning so hard they ignore the boons.

That’s kinda dumb tbh. The whole point of soul guard was the risk reward and now it’s 100% reward

Spirit is strong but now she is fair. A killer does not have to be gutted down when it becomes a problem and they made all the right moves here. No more "standing still mindgame" and a small bit of information for the survivors to allow meaningful decisions. People can lose a game when they had an impact on it but just losing to a coinflip was bad.
Now Spirit players can finaly enjoy her without feeling guilty about playing their own game with no interaction. Also her new add-ons are meaningful and interesting and not just flat stat buffs. Overall Spirit is in a pretty good spot right now. Lets wait for about a month or so and then we can re-evaluate her perfomance.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2578015#Comment_2578015
Or you could say it like this. And this was the most important part. It is about which feeling a Killer offers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2578119#Comment_2578119
That combination will be the bane of existence for many Killers. Perks like Whispers and abilities that allow Killer Instinct to show survivors will thrive to midigate the damage a bit. But essentialy this denies the Killer of his two most important things in a chase leaving only line of sight as a tracking tool....meh...
If you thought the only thing that was unfair about her was the stand still mind game then you'd be right. But that alone was such a minor thing it didn't even happen very often except for dumb funny survivor montages. Without that she's still the same and can still move 200%+ in phase while being physically invisible.
-
I like her other outfit more personally.

That’s one add on that she won’t always have, and it still won’t matter at longer loops.
There are other add-ons and she is still super fast at base level. Even at longer loops she can beat you to the pallet/window every time.
-
@woundcowboy said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2577268#Comment_2577268
No it’s not. The survivor knows where she is at all times and is now in control of the chase.
No the survivor is not in control of the chase. With Mother-Daughter Ring she moves at 220% speed. Even if you know exactly where she is you literally can't do anything about it. You will go down no matter what if they are decent at Spirit.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I strongly disagree.
The phase mindgame doesn't exist anymore. Most of her add-ons were reworked. In my opinion she is still strong but she isn't blatantly unfair anymore.
You're right in the only thing that was really changed was the standing still mind game which was extremely unfair anyway and honestly wasn't even super common in my experience.

Even aside from the environmental concern - we have some people laughably opposed to communal concerns here - BHVR still misled their playerbase.
So you just mostly cared that BHVR didn't announce it right away?

This is a DBD forum. Why would we be making threads on here about Atari or any other company?
We can't control how other fans of other companies do or don't react, we can only control what we do in regards to this game.
It's not just the forum. There are lots of game news sites making articles about it. There's just some angry aura that always follows dbd.
-
Me..?
-
It only takes 24 seconds to bless hex totems, not dull ones.
-
There have been like 5 attempted boycotts of this game. Nothing will ever happen and people will try again and again.
The thing that you need to keep in mind with player count is the average amount of players per month for the whole year. Yeah the players are a bit down from the past couple months but they are up more than 10k since October 2020. We have gained that many players so the boycott is not doing anything at all.
-
I'd like higher FOV for killer if it was allowed for survivor too. Why is that such a problem? Do you just dislike survivor that much?
-
@LaFlamme said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2564611#Comment_2564611
It's really not,
When i play survivor I go against killers that are extremely good or complete baby killers. There's no inbetween.
As for killer I used to main blight before SBMM and since the change it puts me against god tier survivors so I've just stopped playing him.
I mean BHVR themselves confirmed that the games have been more evenly matched so if you're having a problem of being matched with better players you are an outlier.
-
Well SBMM is objectively making more fair matches sooo...

@Brokenbones said:
I've noticed this too
What I believe is happening is:
- Killer swings at pallet, and during the swing - their hitbox/collision model takes the spot where the survivor is meant to be when they drop the pallet
- Since the space becomes quickly occupied, it cancels the drop animation
You can notice this with Wraith more than anybody since he's the #1 body blocker.
Hmmm that makes sense.. I wonder if something changed in a recent patch.

When you are being healed by somebody else you are not progressing the game, somebody else is. It doesn't deactivate when someone else touches a generator or heals you, only when you do those things.

Yes. You are not progressing the game when you are being healed. Someone else is healing you. It clearly states that it deactivates when you heal yourself or someone else because YOU are progressing the game when you do so.
-
Wow lol. The Twins and Trickster are amazing killers and Pinhead is really decent. There have also been some really good killer perks that have come out with them like Starstruck and literally all of Pinhead's perks. Every survivor perk released during that period is horrible.
