This perk is so stupid. I had I game were a doctor was running this perk (tier 1 oc) and got an easy 2 kills because of it. I did most of the gens, when for saves, stayed stealthy, even cleansed some totems too. But nope he hits me once the whole game and I die. He wouldn't have even found me if he didn't have bitter murmured too, I was in madness 1 the whole game also. He ended up camping me and nodded his head, as well as hitting on hook, like why? Someone tried to save me and they got killed to because of NOED too. They Devs really need to rework this perk, it allows bad killers to get kills.herman carter has a few words for you

well as a survivor I get dead hard, so that usually prolongs being tunneled/camped. I find it irritating because the killer doesn't leave the hook and just lets the other survivors do gens while I'm doing nothing while on a hook. As a killer it does feel cheap and not that rewarding, but I end up doing it when the survivor gets unhooked as I start hunting. Depending on the gen situation I usually leave that survivor alone unless they are toxic or I keep finding them and just end them for playing bad.
Why would you feel "cheap"?
You worked for that victim on the hook, you beat him, you found him, you chased him, you carried him.
Time to rake in the reward and fight of the pesky wannabe rescuer.
When was the last time you camped a hook and NO ONE showed up?
Survivor make camping viable. You sound like a true survivor player that switch to killer every now and than and plays the entertaining party clown for his buddies.
Actually I expect EVERY survivor to be toxic, because of my experience with them. Either they will be toxic after I showed mercy. Or they get toxic in the after match chat.
Sorry, for those who are nice, but you are the minority.it mostly feels cheap cause you know he was just being farmed, team mates will rarely bodyblock or they do it so half assed. Granted if all the gens are done I will camp one survivor to keep the game going to see if any try to save. Yeah survivors are pretty toxic, I find it humorous at times half of it is annoying complaining. My main issue with survivors is how inconsistent the matches are, you get this ridiculous swf groups all with flashlights doing the gens and just leaving or you get potatoes that dc or die quickly. I still feel like the main villain is the map system, maps are terrible or good depending on rng. I still find like 4 pallets near the same 30m radius

Still you want the killer to get punishes for the survivor making mistakes.
How is that fair?we need killer buffs if anything not survivor buffs

Some people just hate popular things because their own lives are devoid of joy, so they want to bring everyone down to their level by trying to make the people who enjoy them as miserable as possible. That's how trolls work.
oh yeah still last year has some massive problems and i wont be surprised to see it die like f13 maybe faster and i think we all can see why their is a problem quite simply its because of one thing you can kill the killer yeah that wont make a problem for a asymmetric game

His power is still there, his speed is there, you can see anyone outside the terror radius, I don't understand the need for a rework.
Just explain it, I've never played him, but I find him annoying when I play survivor.
You can't flash light him without going to sleep first, you can't see the [BAD WORD] without going to sleep first, I don't get it.
I just. Don't. Get it.
waking up is too easy and poor freddy becomes useless against sfws and solos

All 5 CF (Coldwind Farm) maps are in the top 8, which is just absurd. Why do i bring this up?
I can't relate to it.
These maps are where i shine the most as Killer.
I'm not arguing with the stats, i'm saying that i'm surprised Killers perform that much worse on CF.
Is it the corn? Cause i sometimes see complaints about those, and i can't relate to that issue either.Anyway, this is a good time to talk about it: What do you think about Coldwind Farm in general, what do you think about the 5 maps & what do you think about these stats?
Imagine playing on console. You have horrible fps and ######### controller aim, now there is corn blocking your vision and survivors 360ing all day.
I already hate it on PC, but when I think about console plebs..... it must hurt
scratch marks become useless and the frame rate drop provides a guaranteed sight line break and escape

Dear Survivor mains, camping is just as much unfun to Killers as it is to you, but thanks to how fast gens are done, how little time Killers have and how overly altruistic you guys tend to be, it often pays off. Maybe gens get done fast because the killer is too busy camping to put pressure on the survivors? Go watch rank 1 streamers play killer. Notice how they're too busy chasing someone every second to be camping. You don't need to camp/tunnel to win games. There's a mental barrier around purple ranks that people struggle with in this mindset.
Camping is basically a killer saying "well you guys are too tough for me, I'm done, I'm just gonna get this guarenteed kill instead".
I do, happens quite regularly that at least 2 gens pop during the first chase. But yeah what an idiot baby killer without brain, why did he follow the survivor into the loops, such a camper, git gud

Ok I can see you're getting bitter from this thread.
FYI when the guy said "tunneled" above he probs means when his teammates pull him off the hook anyway regardless of a killer in the area. No need to snap at him.
Firstly, let me just ask what killers do you use? Some will struggle, that's a sad fact about the game.
Secondly, losing 2 gens isn't the end of the game. It does seem that way and I know when I was nrw I felt the same but it's not the end. I've seen games that were in the bag get lost and games that were lost end up won. The game can change at any moment and I think that's the appeal of it.
The top tier killers can apply an immense amount of pressure. I've seen games where someone like Billy can be looped for 3 gens without a single hook, but then he finally gets 1 hook, zookes across the map, lands a quick chainsaw hit and suddenly hes got 2 people on hook, this creates a snowball effect the survivors can't recover from and gens just stop being done.
as a shape main camping has become a somewhat necessity first you get a early grab then stalk from a distance usually by the time they are rescued you can pop teir 3 but first you need to make sure the perosn who was rescued was in stage 2 this is essential as it prevents altruism when you pop teir 3 and begin your hooking spree

I find NOED a big help and using survivors greed against them almost always works (If you have a bad game people will stick around to open both exit gates) so Insidious is useful. Stridor helps with chases when they brake line of sight on you. I have a low level Nurse so I don't have many perks but I have found them to be a help. Also did turning up the sensitivity help at all? I have been playing with it on its default setting.
@Dolphin9192 yeah I’ve been using a similar build, I’ll try incorporating some of those additional tactics.

So please devs make nurse like 10 % faster than survivors, maybe it would help.
@PatchNoir
Omg i dont know where to start.
1 - nurse is a dead killer on console just because people are too lazy to try to get good with her.
2 - when the game starts she already lost? I've gotten 4K with her while being drunk.
3 - Nurse is slow due to her ability to teleport. An extra 10% would make her insanely op.
4 - "imagine killers being forced to use their habilities its dumb mechanic."
That's the sentence which made me think you were trolling, but i think you are not.@Vietfox I understand where you’re coming from, and while I also don’t expect the devs to start giving special treatment to console, my OP was seeking console advice. You’re right, adjusting MS for her would make the Nurse OP (especially for PC, it would break her), but what are your suggestions? It’s not just for my benefit, it’s for anyone on console... she’s infamously unpopular, that much is plain to see.
Crizpen said:As others have pointed out, you'll always have more difficulty with the Nurse on console and using a controller. There just isn't a good way around that, even with sensitivity maxed, it's no substitute for a mouse.
That said, the one thing that surprised me in your post was that you're running Insidious on her. I'm not sure I understand the reasoning behind that. The Nurse's strength is her mobility, and insidious robs her of that since you have to be standing still for it to work at all.
The strongest perks, for the Nurse, in my experience are:
BBQ and Chili - crossing the map quickly to get the hits when you see their auras.
A Nurse's Calling - great for any killer, but particularly for one who can close that distance and get the second smack instantly.
Sloppy Butcher - Enhancing opportunities for A Nurse's Calling, also slows down the game.
Hex: Ruin - Slow the game down, just a little bit.
Monitor and Abuse - I'm a little iffy on this one for nurse, but it can be very helpful in not allowing survivors to counter Nurse's Calling by not healing in the terror radius.
Obviously, you can't take all of those in a match, but they capitalize on the Nurse's strengths. Insidious is a pretty lame perk, which I've only seen used effectively in a Cannibal's basement build.
Edit: Since, on console, you're more likely to see the end game with the Nurse, NOED can be more helpful there, and as was mentioned, Shadowborn, if you're having trouble keeping up with survivors during the fatigue.
@Crizpen excellent points... Insidious builds might be relying too much on people getting in range and kind of “falling in a trap” that’s unrealistic to pull off. I like where you’re going with the Teachables, especially BBQ... I may have to experiment.

@friendlykillermain yeah that’s kind of what I’ve been doing but it just doesn’t give me consistent results that I’m looking for like I get with other Killers... and based off what @Crizpen was saying above, I might be rethinking the wait and pounce thing.

FOR EXAMPLE
The chase music for the killer 'The Shape' is great! However it is also out dated in my very honest opinion... An alternative to make playing as/against the shape even more exciting for all of the Michael Myers fanatics , would be to update the chase music to the 2018 version of the Halloween soundtrack. John carpenter really out did himself with this music and the chase music should be 'The Shape Hunts Allyson.' when you have reached tier 3 of evil within. if you've not heard the chase music its really spooky sounding. Have a listen!this was mentioned in the 4rth samination parody watch it if you haven't already pretty good

I am seriously trying to get my skill up with Nurse so I don’t just have this useless character hanging out in my roster that I never use. I know that will have plenty of you crying blasphemy and protesting that she is greatest ever. I simply have not experienced this AT ALL. For one, I play PS4 so I think the degree of accuracy I get out of her blink is minimized even after cranking up the sensitivity. From what I understand tactically speaking she more of a long range ambush character, pinpointing Survivor locations and blinking to score hits since chasing is useless and the fatigue gives them a chance to break line of sight. I’ve been running Insidious to capitalize on this, but at this point I’m honestly looking for feedback—tips, tactics, builds, anything other than “git gud”. Camping isnt fun.Usually killers camp if they cant have fun in the game or if they want to make survivors suffer.
Really hard to tell what was going on in the match, but I assume somone looped him or sth and he was just sick of that. There are only very few killers that camp because they like that "playstyle".One thing you need to be aware of. If you dont follow the "killers codex", then they might see no reason to follow your "survivor codex"

no the game had just started and he decided to go after me and didnt want to leave i hate killers like that because i cant climb back down to low ranks.
killers camp for 1 reason and you probably wont like it. its because in high ranked matches or any game really the amount of hooks a person can endure is too much therefore one of the best strategy is camping survivor until hook phase 2 to ensure they dont become altruistic when rescued yeah its no fun but it is required to win against sfws

@Crizpen said:
I'd disagree that Ruin is overrated for the simple fact that the biggest enemy of any killer is time, and as far as perks which slow down the pace of the game, Ruin is certainly the best.Alternatives, such as Overcharged, PGtW, and Thanatophobia are either more unreliable, weaker, or just as (or more) easily countered as Ruin.
Absolutely, there are problems with totem locations, as you point out. In some games, it's gone almost instantly, while in others it may last for several minutes. In Rank 1 matches, I see it lasting throughout the match as many Rank 1's find it faster to work through the Ruin than to hunt for the totem.
I am confused though: your main complaint about Ruin seems to be how easily it's discovered and broken, yet you're saying you replaced Ruin with other totem perks, which are just as easily broken. I guess they may not go looking for Third Seal until they've been hit, but with so many SWF groups, that's usually only the first hit.
Personally, I'd like to see Hex perks work by the killer placing the totem. It isn't in effect until the totem is placed, but the killer can place it anywhere on the map they choose.
the only reason people call ruin overrated is because it is a required perk for high rank games as it is the only tool you have to slightly slow down the game

If survivors can still jump in when they're downed then the exposed effect won't do much. It's the same as having a stand off with an injured survivor.I made a suggestion before where killers are able to close the hatch, but then the gates instantly get powered. The last survivor opens the gate at 100% speed and the killer has to pick which door to go to, if they pick wrong then the survivor is free to go since the gate should open pretty quick. Of course they'd need to reposition the gates to always be as far away from each other so the killer can't camp both doors.
I believe they already tried this (without the 100% opening speed). The problem the hatch creates it makes the end game last forever. They can't just make a band-aid fix like closing the hatch but rework the whole thing.
I recently made a post called "REMOVE HATCH" because current hatch incentivizes not playing to win, but someone pointed out that the game would take forever to finish.
i hate the hatch its too easy for the survivor to escape and it absolutely needs a fix

So to make killers (which in my experience win as much as lose during swf) happy and ruin the game for everyone else? If you play killer you know it's not always going to be easy. If you dont want swf groups then DC on menus no one says you have to play against them.Ok, then give us the option to filter out SWF
or just limit the number of perks sfw can bring one less for each member

Nobody cares consoleyour name is literally Console Nurse
EXPOXSED lol but then again i got the where did they go achievement just by letting the survivors get it and they didn't even get it so ps4 achievements are broken also got evil incarnate just by slugging all 4 surviovrs with evil within 3
they should make it to where that achievement can only be earned if all survivors have been hooked twice and escape through hatch after a number of time in a chase
that would be difficult and tedious though but also intriguing and you would pretty much have to find a killer willing to help you or be very efficient i your resources

Who in your opinion needs to be nerfed/buffed ? I’m more of a survivor main, so I don’t have any great ideas. But I feel like Freddy should be buffed/reworked mostly. His power takes up a lot of time and a survivor could have finished or escape by the time they enter the dream state. Share your opinion with me!i feel of all the killers trapper and Freddy need a buff and nurse and hillbilly need a slight nerf
freddy of course just needs to be more useful maybe give him the action to hit srvivors in the regular world after being put in the dream world enough times and buff his speed. as for trapper larger trap hitboxes and deadhard shouldn't counter traps as they make trapper loops harmful to only the trapper

Master said:The point if giving those players that want to communicate the tools to do it. As I already said, all the arguments non-english and immersion breaking or completely pointless, just disable the feature if you dont like it. Why are solo players disadvantaged because other solo survivors refuse to use their mics or cant speak english? I dont see a reason why we shouldnt have voice comms, look at overwatch for example, works pretty well over there.
How do you wanna nerf SWF? Explain....
You will never be able to properly balance the game this way
Well you bought the wrong game if you want in game communication, the devs have stated many times it won't be added, if you want to use it then why not play with friends on discord like the others and leave the game as it is.
The game came as is, it has never had voice comms and to balance it using it now would negate why a lot of people purchased it and yes it will ruin immersion for lots of people, the whole point of not knowing and having to use you sight, hearing and knowledge is part of the game for lots of people.
How are those arguments pointless? Of course if they added voice chat and they balanced it with that in mind those who don't have mics and those who can't hear them would both be disadvantaged, were your serious when you said that? English is not the only language and its highly rude to think otherwise, to say well don't use it is also mind blowing, the product they bought would also change and if its detrimental to how they enjoy it the devs would have to do something like seperate the playerbase into comms and no comms or solo queue v swf which would never happen as any killer would rather play v non voice comms players it's common sense.
Overwatch has millions of players you cannot compare a game like that to a game with 25-30k on at anyone time, of course that can work for the majority of the playerbase as they can set more regions so they put players of the same language into each of them.
You can't think of it from an English only speaking point of view its very ignorant to even think that way, also what about the english speaking Oceanic region where the playerbase can be small at times and they can get matched with asian players quite a lot, should they learn Chinese or Japanese to name a couple just to play a game properly? Should they deal with a high ping and be matched with people from the UK and US only so they can play a game that's balanced for voice comms?
They could start by nerfing items and add-ons, take the worst case a 4 man SWF, they cannot stack offeringsl or items, one toolbox, one flashlight, one insta heal etc and if there is one in game chest only give normal medkits or maps in game, certain perks cannot be used by all players like adrenaline, unbreakable, borrowed time again to name a few, some perks are also lvl 1 only, they have a gen or two more to do and that's just for starter to see how it goes, if they wish to use a third party to tool to gain advantage over others and break the premise of the game then they get disadvantaged.
The devs also said we would never have a clown as killer.
If you dont balance the game around voice comms now, then it would ruin the game for players that purchased it before it was a thing, but I assume you dont care about the killers
Overwatch isnt region locked at all and surprisingly everyone speaks english (nope im not from an english region) if they use the voice comms at all, has worked very well so far even though there is sometimes a kid you have to mute.
As I already said, you wont be forced to use ingame voice comms, overwatch doenst force you either to stick to this example.
ALso it seems like you dont understand what a powerhorse SWF is becuase your suggestions are kinda ridiculous if you think that this would balance SWF onto the lvl of a solo survivor

i dont care about the voice coms but i do care of the same perks on everyone in sfw perks should be limited per member for every member thats one less perk that would buff solo survivors and nerf sfw
