my main killer the trapper...
a very fun killer to play, yet a very weak one too.heres what id like to see get changed:
-start the round with more traps in hand
-have more traps by standart (from 6 to 10)
-slightly reduced terror radius (from 32m to 24m)
-the ability to reset a trap on the ground without having to pick it up
-a set time required to escape the trap + getting skillchecks while trying to escape the trap. failing one will reset the progressbar. the skillchecks also dont have a "great" zone, so you cant speed up the process.i think that should be enough. however, if you have any more ideas or you disagree with me, please tell me.
again: by telling me i mean giving me a response. im really tired of getting LOLs without any responses and / or reasoning to why ppl disagree / what they would change.
have a nice day ^^some nice appreciation for our poor trapper i like all these changes but the terror radius one that one is already fine

Clown is absolutely amazing, when he works. Unfortunately he is plagued with bugs like his bottles breaking on him, and tall plants as well as the gas straight up not working sometimes and the fact that he snags on things other killers don't. If they would debug the killer he would be the absolute best chaser in this game. hands down.
maybe but if trapper was buffed he could be best in chases

from suicideing on hook to give hatch to dcing to give hatch from hatch standoffs their is nothing the killer can do and slugging has major counters
2the fact that a survior is invincible near the hatch is very unfair unless you have 8 tokens stbfl you will watch them slide inhatch only appears when 3 gens are done and 1 survivor is left or all gens are done the hatch will spawn closed if a gen is completed the hatch becomes powered and takes 5 seconds to open if a survivor is hit within the radius of the hatch say 5 meters then the hatch will close and will have to be reopened standing still near the hatch will cause crows to appear 50% faster
wanted to make a longer post but i dont want to rewrite it all

After this tournament, I lost the hope for DbD.i still old on to hope it has rough patches but also some real genius poking thorough it requires patience and love but it does repay in full value

1. It depends what you mean by advantageous. I definitely think that SWF has an advantage over solo survivors in most cases - their downfall being that they tend to be altruistic to a fault - however I don't think that SWF necessarily provides a significant advantage over the killer, although it can definitely be used as such.
2. In my opinion, the main problem is people who use SWF to be toxic. It's because of toxic groups that even the mention of SWF has such negative connotations in the first place, and killers feel the need to lobby dodge whenever they see a SWF group enter the lobby. I know that the ramifications are a lot harsher overall on killers, but it is also really frustrating for people who have no interest in ruining the experience for the killer and just want to play survivor like normal, except... with friends.
3. I think there are two methods that would work. @friendlykillermain 's idea about the perk slots would work towards improving balance, I think, however it would likely not go very far towards cultivating a more positive atmosphere overall, since people would most likely feel cheated and, as was already mentioned, would probably just try to circumvent it. So it's good in theory, but in practice doesn't solve the issue, only makes it a little more inconvenient.Although I think @Rebel_Raven raises some valid points, I have issues with their solutions. No killer, given the choice, wants to play against a SWF group. Labelling them in the lobby, or preventing them from joining altogether, would just kill SWF and cause the same problems as above, but worse - people would feel cheated, it would increase queue times all round, and the issue wouldn't be solved because survivors would just circumvent the system in the same way, except now they're pissed off and therefore more likely to take out their frustrations on the killer by being bad sports. The bloodpoints idea does have some merit, however as Raven themselves mentioned, not everyone who plays SWF takes advantage of its strengths, and so it's not consistent whether the killer is being compensated for points they lost to an imbalanced system, or just receiving free bloodpoints that they didn't deserve (on top of the approximately double points they already earn compared to individual survivors). In theory, points could be awarded on a case-by-case basis rather than just a flat rate, but that sort of thing is very difficult to measure accurately.
Personally, I am firmly behind the idea of closing the gap between SWF and solo queue and only then addressing any nerfs/buffs that need to be applied. For starters, it's not only much easier to balance around one standard than two, but when all survivors are on a relatively equal playing field, changes that need to be made become much clearer in the first place, without all the "but then SWF is too overpowered" or "but then solo queue is too underpowered". Furthermore, it's the only solution in which SWF teams aren't singled out, and therefore are less likely to feel cheated and respond with increased toxicity. I haven't thought it through enough to have specific ways of closing the gap in mind, but I definitely think that it's the best way of reducing the power of SWF without making anyone feel like they're having something taken away from them. And that goes for killers, too - the main reason for not nerfing survivors right now such that SWF becomes balanced is that solo queue survivors would then be too weak. I think if SWF and solo survivors were at the same power level, survivors as a whole could be more safely nerfed, and then killers wouldn't feel the same animosity towards SWF and, more importantly, they wouldn't feel helpless playing against them.
good point and well put sadly i dont think well ever see anything done about this but we can dream

I love it.
You can kill the killer.
This is awesome.
And im a killer main.
I told about fairness.
Both sides should have the same informations.
Both sides should have the same strength.
And its absoluty fair that you can make kills on both sides.
But its asymetrical.
That means the killer can easy kill 1 person, when she/he is alone.
But when the survivors are together and play as team, they can kill the killer.
This is fair.it can be way too easily abused

I have no problem to be bad.
I have a problem with unfair things in game.

Imo, they will stop using the SWF option, and start lobby dodging until they are in a lobby with their friends which will bypass that penalty entirely.

All discussions related to the balancing or innovations of game mechanics are often polluted by objections or disputes concerning SWF mode, which derail the speech. So I open this thread to deal, once and for all, this age-old problem, focusing ideas and doubts into one "container", for the benefit of developers.I ask everyone to respond constructively, analytically and non-controversy to the following questions:
1) PROBLEM DEFINITION: Do you consider only the teams of four members or even three or two too advantageous?
2) PROBLEM ANALYSIS: What specific difficulties or injustices have you experienced in your games?
3) PROBLEM SOLUTION: What specific and realistic remedies do you consider appropriate to bridge the gap between Solo Survivors and SWF Survivors and then balance the game?- 2 people sfw is no problem usually just 2 friends messing around and having fun 3 man as well but 4 person is absolutely advantageous
- coordination mostly the insane use of perks and others and of course those deciesive strike wilelding flashlight clickers who loop you forever
- one solution will fix all these issues for every member in the group a perk slot is removed ie 4 members each only have 1 slot 3 each have 2 2 each have 3 trust me this fixes any problem also disable dead survivors being able to see what the killer is running

SWF poses undeniable problems of balance: if you balance on SWF, the solitary survivors are passed off, while balancing on the solitary survivors, the killers complain about a game too unfair: we all know, do not need to repeat it every time: in my opinion, the only possible solution is to give the survivors some passive skills that reduce the gap with the organized teams, and then calculate the counterweights on SWF.
Your idea does not ignore the swf problem it even worsens it.
unfortunatly thats true the only way to fix sfw i found is to limit perk slots per member

@Orion I think your example is quite disproportionate: the killers can win against organized teams, and sometimes they succeed. The game is balanced if, on large numbers, the average of each game is two kills out of four.However, I have already given a possible solution to reduce the gap between survivors and SWF: passive abilities for survivors, incorporated into game mechanics. I have read some proposals here in the forum, for example:
1) Bond III;
2) Empathy III;
3) Kindred II or III;
with consequent rework of the perk transformed into passive skill and consequent balancing for the killer (for example, greater number and better positioning of the totems or something else).nah kindered maybe but i feel buffing solo survivors is just giving sfw what thye want aura reading shouldnt have to be implanted nerfing sfw by reducing available perk slots fixes everything
