Yeah, let me just stop repairing for 5 seconds to look for a portal every 30 seconds when they change locations
You only have to do it once when you hit 15...

Rather than hop off a gen when I have 15 Energy to run all the way across the map to deposit, I stay on the gen until I see a portal spawn nearby. Can't see portals because Fearmonger is in every other match.
It's not surprising to see players try to exploit the event to deny the opposition. Like sabo squads that used to break event hooks, which is why EVERY hook is an event hook now.
Just get off the gen for a few seconds until you can see the aura.... Yikes.

Please add yours...with a potential solution please...or you are just complaining.
-clubbing/camping has to stop, I suggest a debuff/penalty for the killer for this.
-key and map are pretty much useless, I suggest adding hook percentage escape chance for the key or bring back the hatch, and map should simply be active as long as it is in inventory.
-if I have no injury, and I am the last hook... I should get my escape chances or modifiers from perks.
What is clubbing?

I still don't understand why devs haven't made an official statement regarding Nurse, are they happy with her current state? Are they going to rework her or adjust the addons? Instead we have here a never ending battle between people, who religiously play and defend her on every single topic with a word nurse in it. And then we have people, who believe she's just not healthy for the game.
IMO Nurse is a balancing hell in general. Each new map they create, must be adjusted just for nurse, so she's able to blink without glitching. Every new decent perk makes her even more unpleasant to go against. She basically creates a lose-lose scenario. Majority of survivors dislike going against her, because she ignores every core defense mechanic (Pallets and windows) that is given to survivor. Daily arguments about her balance state are just tiring.
Have you not seen what happens when the Devs answer the malcontents on the forum? They generally only snap back harder if they don't like the answer.
-
Popping in here to make the obligatory 'Hit-Dressing is the dumbest thing BHVR still stands by to date and I have no clue why they don't develop the awareness to strike it from the game.'

This is great video that just proves my point.
Nurse 1 kill 3 escapes at no restriction tournament.
S tier killer couldn't get more then 2 kills in any match.
You're arguing in bad faith if a single match is all that is needed to sate your confirmation bias.
Extremely bad faith.

I wonder what killer ended such an outstanding feat of experience and teamwork though.
They're doing another run, as I already pointed out. They believe they can go farther. You should also consider it's harder to organize a survivor escape attempt than it is a killer kill streak. Progression will be slower.

nah, you showed yours long time ago, when no matter what kind of numbers someone shows you, or how many professional players state the same thing, your automatic response is to deny it, you live on a denial reality, just to try and protect your dear OP nurse character, the slightest fear of nerfing the nurse irritates you, makes you go angry.
"Otzdarva is wrong"
"Supaalf is wrong"
"D3ad plays is wrong"
"All people who picks nurse on championship are wrong"
"All survivors who dies to nurse are wrong, they dont know how to counter nurse"
"you are fishing for likes, that is not an indicator people agrees with you"
you deny everything and everyone, just look at what you said above, your posts are only good for laughing at best

@Lima24927 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3240583#Comment_3240583
i mean, you are just making a joke out of yourself, look at how many upvotes i got on my initial post, now look yours, i guess people agrees more with me than with you, how do you react to that ?
"Losing my grip over a killer", honestly its pretty rare to go against a nurse, and some maps does helps to play against her, like very large maps, red forest, RPD, or maps with a lot of tall obstacles or walls, like lerys, that naturally denies her power a little.
now, i will give some ideas that can shine some light on maybe how to make her a bit more balanced, you might learn by reading as well:
Chain-Blink
- Chain Blink Window duration: 1.5 seconds ---- > Nerf this to 1 second
Fatigue:
- Base Fatigue duration: 2 seconds --> increase this to 2.5 seconds
- Chain-Blink penalty: +0.5 seconds each ----> increase this to 1.5 seconds, to make chain blinking riskier and not be spammed.
- 1 Blink: 2 seconds -----> increase this to 2.5 seconds
- 2 Blinks: 2.5 seconds -----increase this to 4 or 4.5 seconds this will punish the nurse if she miss, and will give the survivor time to run or create distance, since he can't rely on pallets or obstacles, this preserve the nurse capability of going trough walls and up/down with the blind, but makes it less oppressive.
- 3 Blinks: 3 seconds ----------> increase to 5
- Blink Attack penalty: +1 second
- Heavy painting addon
- Increases the maximum range of the Blink by +4 metres. -----> Decrease this to 2 metres.
- Increases the Charge time of the Blink by +20 %. -----> increase this to 30%
- Increases the duration of the Blink by +20 %.
- Increases the maximum range of the Blink by +6 metres. -----> decrease this to 3 metres
- Increases the Charge time of the Blink by +30 %. -----> increase this to 35%
- Increases the duration of the Blink by +30 %. --------- decrease this to 20%
Another option would be to entirely remove these addons, and give her something different instead, like reveal survivors auras for 2 seconds after a blink if they are at about 8 metres around you.
give her the option to cancel the blink to compensate for the changes
There are many things that can be done to balance nurse while preserve her unique power
Yes, fishing for upvotes is not hard. If that's your indicator for a successful thread, you can have your win.
- Nerfing the chain blink duration to 1 second makes it impossible to even go over normal sized boulders. Sounds like you want a Nurse who cannot chase at all
- 0.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds chain blink allows survivors to simply hold W from one side of the map to the other without ever coming into threat of being hit. Sounds like you want a Nurse who cannot chase at all
Oh man, I can't keep going. It's all the same thing. There is no good faith in what you want. You're just upset.

this right here is evidence of how you are totally wrong, i made many suggestions to balance nurse, and i said on this very thread we don't even need to touch the character itself, just the addons would bring her to balanced levels, like nerfing the recharge and range, but you are simply not reading the thread, or you are very bad at reading, which one is it
They can listen to them, even Otzdarva in his balancing video said Nurse wasn't in as bad a state as many detractors make her out to be (Edit: And some of his suggestions aren't downright terrible, either!)
As for the suggestions you made:
"remove the range addons, or at least nerf them so that the survivors can at least run away from it"
You want to remove range addons completely, okay what addons will you give her in turn? You want to nerf her range addons, how much? Give me the breakpoints. Demonstrate that you're not just losing your grip over one killer.
You don't understand how to balance, you just want nerfs. Like I said, this thread is about your lack of comprehension and nothing else. If you wanted to be taken seriously, you're welcome to try again.

oh , please answer me this:
Supaalf, one of the best nurse players says nurse is broken and no killer should be like this
Otzdarva says nurse isnt balanced and needs changes
no major streamer has ever said that nurse is balanced..
yet we have you.. the super wise man, who says nurse is balanced, please tell me again, nurse is balanced right ?
Alf can say whetever he wants, hes allowed to have an opinion that reflects his personal experience (Protip, that is why it's called an opinion)
While I believe she is balanced (There, now I said it, mald away), you will never see me dispute reasonable calls for adjustments to her, because their is wiggle room for either direction. Her dead zones can be improved to help lower tier nurses, her pallet interactivity can be improved to give mid level survivors more avenues.
The only thing this thread is about is your tenuous grasp of outliers. This is not about Nurse balance at all, or you would have made a thread with suggestions instead.

- Killers tunneling at 5 gens. The person being tunneled dc's. The rest of us die.
- Killers standing next to the hook trade-camping... "Just do five 90-second gens and escape..."
- Survivors kiting the killer into gens being worked on, whether intentional or not
- Lethal Pursuer Huntress and I'm the one getting a near-miss hatchet at my feet 3 seconds into the match. She tunnels Feng off the hook, twice, and I try to use For the People, but Feng has ZERO clue I have the perk, and refuses to hold still while the Jill bodyblocks the Huntress. She finally stops just around a corner in front of a pallet, leaving my ass sticking out for a hatchet, but I use For the People anyway THEN, she just stands there, blocking me in place, so I have to go way around to get into the main building. She runs in too, and then cuts me off to take the window first, making me go down. I had enough.
- 30 minutes to kill, so I'm here typing this. If Cyberpunk didn't freeze so much, I'd be playing that instead of this event that only masks the true horror that is solo queue

The problem with Nurse's counterplay has always been that the rate at which you accumulate experience against Nurse, as a survivor, will always be slower than the rate you accumulate experience against your generic killers that you can loop indefinitely.
There are simply more of them and you will play against them more.
The solution is to ask a Nurse to go into customs and teach you, or to be very patient. But then once you get this far you have another problem:
Now you have three teammates more likely to mald in the forum, screeching, "NO COUNTERPLAY." - As opposed to learning themselves.
My duo's drive me nuts because they're all experienced survivors, but against Nurse they do the dumbest things and then act surprised.
Edit: A somewhat good example showing counterplay to Nurse and Blight at higher MMR, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7CH6kjvqpg

I didn't do anything to the killer. I struggled and he downed me next to a hook. What was I suppose to do DC? Where's the logic
I am explaining a sequence of events. Perhaps that hook you refer to doesn't exist. Perhaps he did not notice it. But if he picked you up and put you down, there's only one variable left.
You struggled.
Perhaps he wanted to remind you that he was in control of getting you out of the game, and that your defiance deserved punishment.
I am not saying I agree with him, again, this is the sequence of events as you described them. If you're not drawing the same conclusion than you didn't come here looking for an actual answer.

She wanted to be hooked and not bled out.

Honestly though, I have faced a lot of killers lately who run nothing but gen control perks and it becomes very oppressive and an absolute chore to verse. I am starting to think that more gen perks should not be able to be stacked as games can be won simply by doing this and grinding down survivors with continual passive regression.
I am facing more Nurses running such builds with at least 3 slowdowns and as a Nurse main myself I feel it is absolute overkill and makes the game very unfun and borders on unfair with high mobility killers.
I don't necessarily disagree, but that's not why I responded tongue 'n cheek to OP. He has a thread history that reeks of critical misunderstandings, false equivocations, and honestly just pedantic nonsense.
I'm a Database Admin, when I see apples to oranges, I have to call it out. This guy just does it too frequently for me to even want to keep up with.
If it makes you feel better, I use one gen regression perk on Nurse. But as long as SWFs can slammajam gens and W the moment they hear a terror radius so that you're stuck blinking across the entire map to get into a chase you are going to see Nurses that feel like they need to play with more.

"Nurse is not even close to the issue you think it is," says the person not experiencing the issue to the person experiencing the issue.
SWF is a balance issue. Nurse is a bigger one.
In my thousands of hours in the game I have gone up against a full tourney death-squad only a handfull of times in public matches. They are not common. They are hard to set up. They don’t happen a lot. Does that mean they aren't imbalanced? No, but that issue pales in comparison to the nurse issue.
Nurse has an extreme advantage over equally skilled survivors all the way up until those death squads I mentioned, where they are about equal.
"if the Nurse player is better and has better rng, the nurse wins. If we're better, we win."
It just isn't true...nurse's mechanics allow her to perform higher than the player using her's skill level. That's what OP means. That's what nurse is. I'm baffled you think survivors are on equal footing with nurse. They aren't, apart from the situation listed above.
Like, sorry, but you're just wrong.
Just like playing SWF allows you to beat a killer higher than your skill level, Nurse allows you to do the same. It's just fact.

Best chase in the game. Best mobility in the game. Best overall killer in the game. Consensus best killer for years. Acknowledged to be OP by everyone who plays the game at a high level except a few forum posters here, and unsurprisingly their profile picture is almost always the nurse.

See, I know the problems with survivor imbalance, and can fully own up to those problems. And I don't see Killers as a whole as a problem, just Nurse. Deflection in full force by going straight to a Survivor problem instead of explaining how to actually counter Nurse, which none of you ever seem to be able to do.

If they nerfed her and buffed all the other Killers, I wouldn't even bat an eye.
