I don't know if this is a coincidence or not but you made a thread on dead hard next to the thread complaining about it. Did you do this on purpose?
-
@GoobyNugget said:
As a killer main, dead hard is NOT a problem lmao, not only does it not work 90% of the damn time, but you can bait out dead hard easily. If they make it to a pallet, they make it to the pallet.
In my opinion i feel the thing with dead hard is that it doesn't work most of the time if you use it to dodge a hit. So the best optimal move is to use it to gain distance. Before we at all talk about nerfing it we have to fix it to work as it was supposedly intended.
First fix the perk then nerf it.

Pre drop pallets, and break line of sight. If out in the open try to time his shot and juke it otherwise it's a gg
Well when I'm in the open deathslinger would fake taking shots and close in on me. How do I time that?

Since elodie came out i have been maining her for a bit. But I still main Adam.

I would rather commenting on solo queue gameplay because SWF makes it too easy, playing alone is a good way to improve efficiency as survivor just in general. Also, do it without kindred.
While I agree that playing solo is a good way to improve i would also argue that i have gotten better playing survivor because I was in a swf group. Sure Its easier but I have learned alot by playing with survivor better then me.
-
This gives me hope.
-
No in fact I think there is more of it.
-
They are probably not doing it on purpose. Sometimes you don't realize when you're running you run into another survivor. Its especially hard if you don't have bond or other perks to indicate your teammate is there. Don't take it personally.
-
You know what im sorta glad we have the hook counter and portraits because if I'm playing solo and I have been hooked twice and I know the other survivors haven't been hooked yet im bringing the killer towards you.
Is this toxic? That's toxic, im sorry I should not.
-
You got me in the first half im not going to lie.
But in all seriousness I really wish people wouldn't generalize all survivors like this. Not all of us are whinny
-
I think its toxic to tunnel someone because you don't like the cosmetic the survivor is wearing. I understand if you have experienced toxic behavior from people wearing certain cosmetics but its never a good idea to generalize every survivor who wears it.

I like your build. Is second wind good?

Forget Jake, where's Adam? They had challenges for him in the last tome. Bhvr better stop playing with my main.
Edit: sorry I don't mean to take away from your concerns, but I agree Jake should get a tome already

The problem with that it is a very situational perk and one main killer over the other. This buff would keep those neat additions, but add some information value to it.
I don't think it being situational is a bad thing. Isn't a perk that works all the time OP?
Also it already has 2 effects on it. Sure you might not scream a lot in most of your matches but being able to not disturb crows is a plus since expert killers can use crows to their advantage in order to find survivors who are not careful.
Also im concerned with it destroying the uses of other perks. Like why use bond, empathy, or aftercare if you cam get free aura reads with Calm Spirit? This is especially the case that it stacks.
I'm sorry but I feel buffing it is just unessacary.

To buff the perk and make it just a bit more useful? It would be an informational perk as well as a utility that is not too strong and can actually help.
I guess but I think its fine as it is. It already completely counter doctor and to some extent clown. It also hard counters infections fright witch is a very good and useful killer perk.
-
Wake Up. Its very helpful.
-
I don't get the point if seeing others survivors aura if they disturbed a crow.

Can you explain how the new undying works?

Bad? Words can’t describe the state of the game right now
I'm questioning weather or not I should even play.
-
Is it really that bad?
-
Wait how does the new undying work? are there 2 totems with 1 being ruin and the other being undying or is there now 1?

There’s an update today?
I'm pretty sure there is. The update with the reworked maps and new UI
-
Well if its to get feedback from console then I can understand. Us on console doesn't have any access to the PTB so I assume most of the info they get from it is told from the perspective of PC and not console.
I feel if its something as big as a ui change then they should get feedback from all platforms not just one so that they don't make hasty decisions and cut it without giving everyone a chance to try it out. So I say send it out and wait for the results.

It’s on Amazon prime video, it’s classic 90’s cult TV. Of course it was better for it’s time yknow some jokes didn’t age well but overall it’s amazing and creative and even has a spin-off that’s pretty good
I think I will look into it.

I don't think I have ever seen the show. How is it?

I personally find it more punishing to the Killer if there are 2-3 medkits. Also the fact that the perk has a distance requirement there can be times you’re lucky to have Deathbound proc once or twice even if you didn’t necessarily need the info.
I think I have an idea of how to buff it.

18 was December 1st, it's barely been 2 months.
But it was announced in about the middle of November right? You don't include that?
-
@Starr43 said:
- Self caring by any means causes the survivor to scream
- Healing another survivor makes you the obsession.. this would be niche but add synergy if you combo it with something like nemesis
Having it work against self healing would guarantee you’d get at least some value out of Deathbound in your games if the survivor isn’t using calm spirit or inner strength.
Wouldn't making it work with self care destroy the purpose of the perk? Its supposed to make survivors who work together be punished.

Calling Survivor "insanely easy and braindead". Only playing Survivor when forced to do. Meanwhile saying that you are not biased.
Does not really add up.
Lol

I'll use them, but I will probably change the names to better suit the theming cause these sound kinda generic to me, thanks for the input regardless
Yeah no problem. I don't mind changing the names because im not good with making them. If you need any other perk Ideas I can definitely help.

I'd love to hear what sort of perk ideas you have, and i'm glad you're excited to see where the concept will go, what sort of ideas are we talking about here?
Well you said you wanted 1 chase perk, 1 hex perk, and 1 obsession perk. I made these before, so here is my ideas.
Heavy Hitter
You cripple survivors who try to escape
After hitting a survivor with your basic attack 5/4/3 times the next survivor you hit will move 50% slower for 3 seconds
Hex: Unleashed
A hex that grants you powerful abilities to aid you in your hunt.
When this particular Hex is cleansed you gain a 10% increase in movement, breaking and attacking speeds for 10/15/20 seconds
Alone
You become obsessed with one survivor
Anytime the obsession performs a cooperative action they suffer from the exposed status effect for 15/20/25 seconds
Alone has a cooldown of 60 seconds after downing the obsession.
How is this?
-
This is so interesting, a werewolf killer would really fit into DBD. I have a few perk ideas if you want to hear?

I'm not saying Deliverance is hard to trigger.
But the posibility does exist that if you get caught first it's useless. If all 4 survivors bring it it's a dead perk for at least one of them
Deliverance + DS was never a problem in the past I don't see why it would be a problem now.
If anything it's a good thing. I would like seeing perks like Diliverance more instead of every match being the same perk setup.
At most you would see 2 people have deliverance, its impossible to have 3 people with it active.

Doors are stupid for killer too. Oh I walked a few steps too far to one door instead of doubling back, now the survivor gets out, because exits only take 20 seconds to open. That's like nothing in DBD time.
Yeah I can agree. I think before hatch is fixed at all the doors should be made better. Maybe lower the time but shorten the distance between them, and possibly make it so that killers can close doors that have been open just like how they can close it.
-
@HelloAgainMr said:
I don't think Hatch should go but keys need to go. You also should not be able to reopen a hatch with a found key after it has been closed, the doors power up for a reason.
I think the doors are another issue in them themselves. Sometimes door placement are way too close to each other making escaping out of them impossible since the killer can stand between and watch them and the with the fact that high mobility killers can patrol even easier. So hatch with key should still somewhat be an option.

Sean Cunningham is going after WB for lost profits or something. So the hope of dbd getting jason since the other lawsuit was winding down is basically gone now. Just a quick google search of "friday the 13th lawsuit" using the "news" category will tell you all you need to know..
For jason to come to dbd anytime soon, behavior would have to pull of a actual miracle imo :(
This whole legal issue is spirling out of control.
And you know whats even worse? the original issue is with the original writer owning the FIRST Friday the 13th movie. And Jason didn't appear until the second movie and the hockey mask Jason was in the third. So even if the original writer won the rights to the script it, it would only be to the first movie. Meaning whoever own the rights to the characters of Jason would be another separate issue that needs to be solved.
The chances of Jason coming to DBD is very slim.

Youll be waiting awhile. Yet another lawsuit started up recently.
Really whats the next lawsuit?
-
This is weird because the original writer won the case and was supposed to have the rights but then the opposing side appealed and dragged it out longer.

Or we can wait until this damn lawsuit is over
From what I have researched the next hearing on the rights is scheduled for February 10th of this year, meaning in about 3 days. Lets hope they can come to an agreement.
Edit: I made a mistake ignore what I said. The date is wrong.

Idk, this is a hard one. I mean perks are there to assist you in game and hopefully have synergy with your play style.
We could classify every perk as a crutch in some way. Spies from the shadows , crutch for those that struggle tracking.
BT, crutch for those that can't perform safe hook rescues. I mean you could make a case for every perk being a crutch in some way.
I say, they are just perks. You use what best works for you and your play style. And damn any label people want to apply to them.
I agree with you 100%. Honestly we should stop using the term, its derogatory in my opinion because shame people for running what they want to run.
-
I think they exist but thats not necessarily a bad thing. There are multiple crutch perks
Windows, technician, spine chill, premonition, NOED, Unrelenting, Zanshin Tactics, Visionary.
But often times when people say someone uses a crutch perk, they mean they have no skill, which is just rude and shames people for running what they want and it needs to stop.
All in all they exist but the term is a bit derogatory.
-
I don't think I agree. Spine chill does tell you that the killer is looking at you but doesn't tell you the direction. So sometimes stealth killers can get hits off or you can run in the direction the killer is coming from. Also it sorta suffer from the same problem as premonition and can give false positives meaning if spine chill light up it just tells you the killer is looking in your direction not if they are coming for you or not.
-
As a survivor main he is not OP. Sure he has an instant down but its only a problem if he stalks you long enough, but nothing too major. He is still an M1 killer that can still be looped normally.
He is incredibly annoying because his stalk mechanic is really inconsistent, and he has the ability to teabag survivors which is toxic (if its toxic for survivors to do it then it's toxic for killers as well)
But other then that play what you want and have fun. (And this is coming from a survivor main)

Yea I kept the cool down made it 8m but it's like dark devotion it follows the hit player for 20s blocking pallets that they get near and if that was too op it would block pallets within 10m of the killer and last 23s for the 3s whipe animation
I think that would make it really good
-
Really I must not have read it well. I thought you just changed the numbers. If our ideas are the same then I can agree with the change.
-
I have an idea for a Hex:Blood Favor rework
So if the killer hits the survivors with their basic attack they will be cursed for 30 seconds. During that time they are prevented from throwing down any an all pallets. It loses the unessacary cooldown.
