Well that sucks, I was in the mood to play him for once since I haven't played him in a while. Guess I'll have to wait until he gets fixed
That's a theme with this game these days. Wait til the problems are fixed, or play through painful and unfun experience.
-
Camping Hags or ones that spam traps around a hook get punished hard. If that's not happening, the survivors are doing something wrong. You will not see those Hags succeed at high level, so maybe it's a question of "Are we talking about high level survivors here?" or just some noobs?
-
None. Every one of them has way too many bugs and a lack of qol changes. Killers really aren't that powerful.
-
Killers do move faster than survivors. Some move faster than others.
-
This is one of the reasons why I don't play Trapper as much anymore. He has a dumb amount of counterplay for no reason.
-
His dream pallets needed to be untouched when he got nerfed. They were SO WEAK and now they're even worse because you have less of them. Because according to a dev "pallets are stronger than snares". It's a joke. It's Hillbilly all over again. Any add-on that makes the killer's power different is either removed or nerfed to be unplayably bad.
-
Yep. They didn't fix a thing.
-
I have learned. Even though I can 3-4k almost every match some days, it doesn't come without sweat, blood, and tears. Whereas survivors are cruising down easy street having a chill time for most of the match.
-
The only map that has done the breakable walls right is Dead Dawg, and even then there's some mandatory walls you have to break. The breakable walls at the TL and shack need to be implemented in other maps. The rest of the walls in the map though are either a waste of time or make the loops for survivors even stronger when broken. Why would you make them that way?

If you bought the tome they already have your money. I would recommend not doing that until you know the patch is playable to a satisfactory level. You can always buy the tome after and get all your stuff for the levels you reached.
In either case, yeah I agree they should extend it.
Rift, not tome.

To me, having fun against killers is having a variety, not the same one 3 matches in a row. So what you're describing, I would say is completely fine. If you're going against some more than others, you'll be more experienced against them than others, and SHOULD start learning the counterplay to them easier, even though many can't be bothered to do that.

They gave her a normal lunge. if you hold the button down, she always has a full lunge that took her skill gap and chucked it out the window. Old mindgames you could do against her are gone now because of it. She's easy now because you don't have to be accurate with your blinks anymore. You can just get close and always get a hit.
That's what I was thinking. She doesn't seem to be that reliant on accuracy. And the mindgames against her are only as effective as she lets them be. Not like Spirit though, because Nurse can actually see. That's why mindgames against her fail easier.

Oh there definitely are stupid questions.
Agree to disagree.

Not a Blight player, but I've seen him do pretty well on the swamp maps. Maybe due to the sight lines?
But he gets destroyed on those maps from his sliding.

Yeah I stopped reading after:
"That being said, Dead by Daylight has been very biased towards making Killers far to powerful-"
Yeah, I play a lot of killer, and with how hard I have to work to get anything done in a match, I don't feel powerful.

Judging by the tone, this seems to be a personal question you are outsourcing.
I'd call it a scripted discussion. One question often leads to the next. It can seem the way you described it though.

Because I have fun playing the game. Why do YOU ask stupid questions?
There are no stupid questions.

Ooh! A nice scripted discussion! I haven't seen one of those since my last philosophy class!

She has a full lunge now. Old Nurse had a small, quick swing, which is why she was so hard to play as. It took skill to actually LAND on someone for a hit. Now they gave her a full damn lunge and her skill gap went out the window.
It's not consistent though. Sometimes she has a ridiculous lunge, sometimes it's like Meyers in tier 1.

5 hours is doubtful indeed. Wouldn't believe without evidence tbh. Even the best Nurse mains I know took a few days to get to a level they could at least safety pip on red ranks.
Perhaps those "best" Nurse mains were exaggerating how long it took. I know everyone wants to be Yoda, with all the wisdom and experience, but I, like the OP, also got Nurse down in like a day.

I actually have a series of posts that I've very much been slacking on, talking about perks with unnecessary downsides. I don't suggest buffs, because that would be for Feedback & Suggestions, but I point out where the design of the perk is really not good.
-
I like the map too, but I don't think it's killer sided. The gen spread potential is too disgusting, even when you focus on just 1 floor as killer.

I’m not surprised. Poor killers have it so unfair. Jk lol
On this map? They really do.
-
Yes but the process is so time consuming and convoluted, at least on console, that it's not even worth it.
-
It should give him a significantly reduced recovery on hitting survivors with his whip attack. Lvl 2 could do with a bit of that as well.
-
Then you'll know exactly what to expect, and play around it.
-
I agree.
-
With that perk I've been able to see them spawn relatively close to where I spawned.
-
He is fun and not OP.
-
This is what I've been saying for a while now. She's not that hard to pick up, although of course some people, like me, really prefer other killer's playstyles. The only thing holding her back is those blinks where you hold it too little and blink a centimeter in front of you (because of a rock) or you hold it too much (because you want to get to the other side of the rock where the survivor is) and you go flying, like there's no in-between.
-
I would get Twins. They were hard nerfed for no reason a few patch or two back, including Victor's ability to hit survivors over windows and pallets. But even still they're better than Trickster. You'll just have to get used to mixing a bit of slugging into your normal gameplay.

They've already explained why they can't do that.
Their explanation isn't good enough. It's just a convenient excuse to get them out of fixing the game's biggest balance issues.
-
I wouldn't like that at all. I think them going down to 2 chapters a year is the maximum slowdown on content they should do. It is possible for them to work more on the game itself even with their current schedule, but they just choose not to. But I do think they should place great importance on optimization, bug fixes, and balancing.
-
Probably Deathslinger because he's the coolest ranged killer, and I like his playstyle. Also, I gotta represent.
-
Yes, at least remove perk tiers. Apparently they're the reason why Visionary has a COOLDOWN.

You can't remove hatch. There are achievements tied to the hatch.
Then those achievements will have to be changed.

Keep Hatch.
Nobody wants to go back to 15 minutes of immersion as the last person crouches around tappings gens.
Then don't. When I say get rid of hatch, I'm not saying have no endgame mechanic. Just give us a better one.

Survivor is OP at it's full potential, but that isn't limited to SWF.
That is true. Every match would be like those 4-man SWF sweat squads if we had a proper MMR system. That's why we need to get one so that the devs can properly balance the game.

Survivors are sick of the grind. Sick of getting into games and instantly chased and killed. Sick of op perks and killer builds. Games should be fun and playing survivor isn’t 90% of the time. You see the same killers on the same maps, using the same sweaty builds. The dcs are a reflection on morale.
They need to just play the match out. A DC is how most easily winnable survivor games are thrown.
-
It's OP when they actually try.
-
I know it doesn't make much sense, but removing it would effectively destroy this killer.

The game is supposed to be balanced around 2 kills and 2 escapes, I don’t see a problem with hatch.
That's not a balanced game, because the killer black pips if not depips.

Achievements can be changed as long as they are no longer possible to achieve.
Yes!
-
Because survivors in this game are experts at throwing matches. They see NOED go off, and instead of leaving the hooked guy and guaranteeing a 3-man escape, they try to be greedy and end up giving the killer a 3-4k.
-
@aroell said:
Most people here are killer mains, they end up getting a 3k instead of a 4K then the come here and cry.
Probably because hatch gave a survivor a free escape who clearly didn't deserve it.

If I have to do that to address an item, don't you see the problem?
